As an ER nurse, my first thought when you mentioned his description of his hallucinations was that he was tripping on either mushrooms or acid, neither of which show up on a standard ER tox screen. That would explain all the strangeness of this to me. Also when asked, in my experience, no 20 year old’s mother readily admits that their baby might have taken substances.
Got a point there. The weird curtain as clothing would fit as well. As a retired trauma nurse and paramedic, every case we had involving younger dudes and hallucinagens, hypnotics, and deliriants they are almost always nearly naked and sweating regardless of temperature because it effects the bodies abilities to regulate body temperature. DeHydration is kinda common withbit too though because from personal experience eating and drinking can be problematic. Scope out your trip site. Take a sober friend you trust as a trip sitter, and if you ate inexperienced then please seek the guidence of an experienced user that is calm and collected to help guide you in your trip. And if indoubt of the drugs authenticity, or toxicicity its ok to change your mind before using. P.s. sorry about the educational pamphlet i wrote. But we both know it never hurts to tell people that are gonna use to use some sense and be as safe as possible. Peace and may the mandatory overtime fairy never shit on your department. Lol
@@GredelsRageNo, this is all great information. Shame is one of the biggest dangers when it comes to substance use and being able to trust someone who will look out for you if things get weird is super important if you're going to experiment.
You would have to be extremely ballsy to take mushrooms or acid while camping with ur girlfriends family in the 80s. Like that would be ballsy now but even back in the 80s it would be a completely different type of crazy
As a retired senior psychiatric practitioner and prescriber, I agree with my ER colleague. The success or not of detection screening would depend upon the substance taken. You would also have to know what you are looking for - the broader your screening detection, the less chance of success. One reason why certain substances are more popular in prison communities is due to the time they clear the system, This is known for many pharmaceuticals and is called Half-life. Half-life is a number that is divided by two and added together until it disappears - as a simple example - and there are variables and possibilities for other detectable metabolites being present after the usual timescale - diazepam (valium ) has a half-life of 48 hours which means it may be detectable in most simple tests for 10 days after last dose -a related benzo =Lorazepam (ativan) has a half-life of 18 which equates to six days. If this chap had taken any substance it was probable that he did so before he disappeared - this is an easy e;g; and only relevant to this as so - hallucinogenics have their own properties and are often found naturally in variable doses source to source - so taking them is spinning a wheel and hoping I would look to the changes in behavior (leaving camp)as evidence of that as a fact - this is why, especially when an unusual unexplained action has precipitated a distinctive set of follow-up actions - you cannot look at the incident as a single event without considering the person as a whole - you need more info to inform the investigation. You need a comprehensive and truthful assessment of the person and circumstances -first and most importantly - any actions as a snapshot in isolation can be made to seem weird. I would be interested in any studies of the surrounding area that have been made by a mycologist pomologist or botanist - from there you might be able to discover what was around and relate it to the season to see if the characteristics match up to the event - of course, this kid might have just had a tab of acid in his pocket and decided to make a boring trip more interesting by dropping it - We have all done that eh kids? -but it ain't smart or clever
also possible one of his girlfriends many "friends or relatives" might have slipped him something, it was the 80s a little "friendly" hazing would not be frowned on nor particularly unlikely. along the lines of "beckys new boyfriend needs to prove himself, ie win our approval, to be accepted by the group." Nobody is going to volunteer that they used illegal drugs on someone for a prank and now theyre missing. Not in the middle of the just say no era
Per Michael Reel himself (interview as an adult) he never hallucinated at all. The story about eating biscuits with his grandfather he was talking about BEFORE he went missing. He said the press got a lot wrong.
Yeah, after a dozen or more years of being fed what the story is, right. - Helping step-grandpa getting utensils from the car, uh? And eating biscuits with him before "disappearing"? I wonder what flavor those biscuits had. Vanilla? Caramel? Strawberry? Has step-grandpa been investigated? Alternatively, maybe, I guess the whole crowd in the Rhododendron park (including his father) was hallucinating seeing him dashing in and out of the bushes. Or maybe he got a lift up and down to expedite his travels. But by whom? Maybe he really did spend some time somewhere with a guy drinking beer and whiskey while he was under the influence of biscuits. Who knows. That nonchalant "hey". Completely out of it.
@@jamesknapp64 I didn't mean it in a bad way, I think it's great. I have ADHD and 9 time out of 10 that is exactly what my train of thought is like, and given that Aidan also has ADHD he would certainly know what that's like as well.
The description of the hallucinations, combined with the weight loss over such a short period, screams Amenata muscaria ingestion to me. Amenata mushrooms, famous for their white-spotted red caps, have historically been taken as a hallucinogenic, with distortions of perceptions of size being one of the trademark characteristics of the hallucinations. In fact, it is thought that these mushrooms are both the inspiration for the Power Shrooms in Super Mario, and the size-changing throughout Alice in Wonderland. This is the kind of thing a 20-year-old kid familiar with the woods might have heard of, but it's likely for a crucial detail to be missed: while the species of amenata that grow in Europe just cause the hallucinations, the ones found in the Americas have the added fun of causing horrible vomiting and diarrhea, which would explain both where Larry's pants went, and how he lost that much weight that fast.
Regarding the hallucinogenics and eating "strange mushrooms", psilocybin only shows up on blood tests for about 12 hours after consumption and isn't included in most standard drug tests. They could also explain everything seeming louder than usual and both time and visual size distortions
As someone who hallucinates due to mental health issues, I also do not recommend hallucinating in the woods. Even a small set of well tended trails becomes a confusing maze when reality isn't lining up quite right. And you may think "oh my hiking/walking companion(s) will stop me," only if they can overpower you and get you before you start running.
@trustworthydan my brother in christ, if we could "take control" and stop hallucinating, we would lol. Antipsychotics aren't a magical elixir that cures mental illness, and it's very common for people who are schizoaffective/schizophrenic/bipolar 1 etc and who do take psych meds to have persistent hallucinations despite taking one or more meds and following treatment plans. Doesn't work like that Chief. Also, hallucinations can be extremely disturbing, scary, alarming, and even re traumatizing as we don't get to choose what our brains cook up. The body and mind have a funny way of compartmentalizing trauma. Have a client (am mental health worker) who has visual and auditory hallucinations of the man who r worded her and it's awful for her, despite taking a high dose of meda and being hospitalized for long periods of time more than once in the psych ward. Unfortunately, the mental illness also causes hallucinations, paranoia and delusions to seem very real and prevents us from being able to tell what is real and what isn't
Not to mention the brutal side effects that psych meds cause (weight gain, extreme fatigue, brain fog, changes in appetite, difficulty focusing, issues with short term memory). Some meds cause permanent mental decline when used long term, and people are usually mentally ill forever not short term. If you haven't lived it and experienced it in its fullest most disregulating capacity, don't give psychiatric advice especially accusing someone of "making excuses". When you struggle with hallucinations, it's pretty indicative someone is doing pretty well all things considered and has "taken conrrol" of their life if they're able to access the internet, communicate clearly and effectively (disorganized speech is a major symptom of schizophrenia and psychosis), and has the insight into their own symptoms and js able to recognize when hallucinations have occurred and what was and wasn't reality. General life advice, don't be a dick ❤ peace and love brother
@@trustworthydanhallucinations cause by mental health issues are due to your brain sending wrong signals, you can’t take control of them bc your brain does it subconsciously
17:15 I’m not sure if you missed it from his interview video but I don’t think that was a hallucination more than a case of poor reporting. He said he told them his grandfather made him eggs before he went missing. Being a small kid and police being how they are, it makes a lot of sense that they misinterpreted what he was saying as him saying that he was doing that while he was missing. There was no hallucination at all. It was just a young kid probably rambling and describing his week how he remembered “eating eggs and bacon with his grandpa and then he was walking in the woods and he found a cabin and and and…” it was just them not understanding what he was saying or the order of what he was saying. Idk how many times that’s happened even to me where it’s like no you’re not understanding what I’m saying.
Yeah the police do a very bad job of understanding statements. I said I punched someone bc they pulled a knife on me and attacked me so they arrested me for admitting I punched him, instead of the other person threatening my life. They’re very ignorant towards the facts of the case most times they just want to come to a “conclusion” and get home

In the Eastern most mountains, under hot summer sun, twas the early 80s, when Larry D. had his fun. As the day shone bright, the dew on high flowers glistened, but then trees whispered lies, and poor Larry he listened. “Step off the path, there’s wonders just yonder”, in a trance he obeyed, a blank stare as he wandered. “The trap is now set”, the trees giggled and chortled, then vanished poor Larry, through an Appalachian portal.

It does take a bunch of different things to really make it happen partly being altitude it is possible however having tried mad honey it's nowhere near strong enough to actually make you hallucinate. especially not letting your body build up a tolerance to the toxins in it the amount you need to hallucinate is very close to the lethal dose.

Hey Aiden's. Check out the book The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. By Stephen King. It is fictional, but the way King takes you through the woods in the eyes of this child who stepped off the trail and got lost is just amazing. There is mild paranormal aspects that present in a way they could just be a child's imagination in the dark at night. But maybe not. 😉 I'd love to hear what you both have to say about it. I was born in W. Va. and lived the first part of my life in the Smokies, as my father was a Cherokee from Tennessee. Old timers, (I'm over 70 now), used to tell of the Mak-mak bush. It was a small plant with only 2-3 tiny berries. I've never heard tell of anyone eating them, but the stories say you shouldnt get them on your skin. It seems they aren't hallucinogenic but instead cause something like sleepwalking aimlessly. But these were just old family stories. Back before TV, local socializing was a couple of neghboring, (within 5-6 miles) families getting together singing and telling stories. But this "lost hiker" story did bring that to mind. 👍
Do the berries have little dots on them? That's a mildly toxic native plant and of course I can't remember what it's called. Little clusters of a couple waxy, pale berries with dots.
Cold, hunger, lack of sleep and fear can all lead to altered states of consciousness. That's one way many cultures ensured that certain rites and rituals proceeded as planned, say vision quests for example. You push people hard enough and they start to see things.

You can always tell when I'm on shrooms. I laugh uncontrollably for 3-4 hours. If I ever get lost, just listen for someone who sounds like she is watching the best stand up comedy ever.
So, weird quick comment on hallucinating. I'm not saying this is what happened, but two years ago I was sick with Covid and was feverish. While in that state, my mind went crazy thinking I was perpetually doing different tasks like digging a hole. It felt like hallucinating to me and I've never taken mind altering substances.
Another weird addition to this, when I got sick, we were on our way home to Florida from the Gatlinburg Tennessee area. This is only important because when I'd go to the toilet to "purge" myself, I'd come out of the perpetual task and at one point I told my wife that the "Witches in the mountains put a curse on me." Watch out for the mountain witches.
My first thought when how much weight he lost was mentioned, was that maybe he suddenly got hit by some food poisoning or something, had to go to the bathroom, maybe didn't quite make it and soiled his pants, so took them off and left them wherever, and then fever delirium took over from there, all while continuing to be sick and thus losing weight fast. He still may have had some shrooms before it happened, which would have only made the whole thing worse, I imagine.
To add to the illness induced hallucinating, several years ago unknowingly had a bad kidney infection. Hallucinated several Star Trek and Stargate SG-1 story ideas that I scribbled on an old electric bill... Yeah VERY strange 😂
EVERY time I get a Covid booster or get Covid itself, I have a very short extreme fever that makes me delusional and terrified that I'm dying. I cry with the kind of wailing sorrow that someone who throws themselves into their spouses grave does. I am totally inconsolable for around 4 hours, and then suddenly, I'm just over it. Fevers are weird. Side note: my kidneys started just shutting down once and the dehydration made me hallucinate and so delusional that I put all my bedding in the tub, and filled up the tub. Luckily, I think the water woke me a bit and made me realize it was dangerous. Delirium is also very weird.

II just have this weird question. Is there any connection to a rhododendron that can cause psychedelic issues. Like ergot or mushrooms or something that they could have gotten into their system. Which would explain quite a bit of this story in both cases and when you describe the fact that there were airplanes. But dinosaurs and everything look bigger and it was all bizarre. I mean that's a trip.
Look up mad honey - I do think the rhododendron bushes _might_ have a role to play in both of these disappearances. Additionally, consuming mushrooms that produced “strong sensations” suggests to me that something chemical was likely going on (not necessarily psychedelic, but some level of confusion or disassociation) Now, whether that was a disassociative trip (datura experience reports gives a good example of this kinda crazy), or some kind of mental break precipitated by said chemicals, remains to be seen. Side note, appreciate this comment! I was getting ready to comment something very similar.
@@scripter13highly unlikely to be "mad hunny" as how would they consume it unless it had already been harvested? Wild Bees are feisty and typically won't completely abandon a hive
Ergot comes from rye so probably not that. But apparently bees using rhododendron pollen make magical honey that can cause hallucinations. I just think the dude took shrooms or cid or something and started freaking out and took off. Occam's Razor would agree.

As a former SAR member, you are right, hallucinations typically don't occur until sever hypothermia, but people behave differently under hypothermia. Some people reach paradoxical undressing at mild hypothermia
People love to hate things. It's a very nagative mindset that a lot of people get locked into. They would rather give their attention to something that they despise than something they actually enjoy. Until, paradoxically, they can only find pleasure in hating
A major part of our development. People hate pain, disease, having to carry stuff for miles, bad water, boring work etc. The people who hated those sort of things ended up with antibiotics, cars, piped water and machinery. I think hikes had become such a mundane human activity at this point that we forget how inherently dangerous of an activity it is. Which is why it kind of baffles me and it kinda don't when people find it hard to understand other going missing while on a hike. I know it's fun to speculate and I know, sometimes there are external factors and even foul play; I'm not saying that doesn't happen, just saying we should remember how easy it is to get lost in the woods. all it takes is getting lost once and you start to rethink everything. we used to hike a few miles into the woods to smoke out of a communal hidden bong in the woods and we would get so stupid. there wasnt a paved trail leading up to that point so we coulda got turned around so easily. its not hard to look around for a second and then get totally disoriented in new places

By and large this case doesn't seem too confusing or mystifying, at least not compared to most. However, I do think it's unusual that both Michael and Larry, having disappeared and subsequently reappeared within two weeks of each other, both made mentions of having visited a house. Michael thought he was at a white house eating breakfast with his grandfather while watching television and Larry stole a curtain off the wall from a house he visited. While I tend to believe that Michael just entirely imagined his experience at a nonexistent house and Larry just broke into a residence, it still does stand out to me a little bit.
Michael's story about being at a white House with his grandfather was misreported. He was talking about the morning BEFORE he got lost. Michael was in the woods the entire week he was missing, until he last night when he spent the night in an abandoned cabin. He was found the next morning.
Why not include whistle to that list? It's so easy to just hold it in between your lips and let every exhale make you far more noticeable out in the woods. They're light and take up very little space. I remember them being standard in every survival kit when I was a kid, but now I don't see them as often.
13:40 Michael Reel specifically mentions in his interview, that the house he stayed in had a curtain. He was describing it to prove that he hadn't met a 'grandpa' there as a part of clarifying his story (shame the interviewer didn't properly take him through the whole thing!). Michael is very specific on this curtain, just makes me think the house Larry found must have been the same one Michael was in previously.

This is really common for people who go missing in the woods, people just lose their minds and aren't sure what they're experiencing the entire time they're out there. They hear/see people who aren't there, have weird perceptions of their environments and basically are hallucinating just from what happens to the human brain when you're lost in the wilderness. It's especially true with kids which is why this one thought he was in a house with his grandpa for some of it. It's like that kid who went missing and claimed he was in a cave with his fake grandma who he thought might have been a robot, or the other kid who got lost in the woods and said animals were swarming all over/jumping over him all day and night. People just completely lose it

My experience with "magic" mushrooms... is that some can hit you via skin contact alone. resting your hand on top of a clump of them while filling a canteen might do it.

I am not a smoker anymore (one of the reasons being that is's expensive) but charging 100 bucks for literally, as they themselves say, flavored air, is ridiculous
Thanks for demystifying many of these w/ everything that can be found. I have a hard time w/ those who ramp up the unexplained whether intentional or not, by leaving information out (also whether intentionally or not). If something unexplained DOES happen, we don’t need it cluttered and confused by a lot of other instances that are really not the same thing. :-/

If this chap had taken any substance it was probable that he did so before he disappeared - this is an easy e;g; and only relevant to this as so - hallucinogenics have their own properties and are often found naturally in variable doses source to source - so taking them is spinning a wheel and hoping
I would look to the changes in behavior (leaving camp)as evidence of that as a fact - this is why, especially when an unusual unexplained action has precipitated a distinctive set of follow-up actions - you cannot look at the incident as a single event without considering the person as a whole - you need more info to inform the investigation.
-but it ain't smart or clever
also possible one of his girlfriends many "friends or relatives" might have slipped him something, it was the 80s a little "friendly" hazing would not be frowned on nor particularly unlikely. along the lines of "beckys new boyfriend needs to prove himself, ie win our approval, to be accepted by the group." Per Michael Reel himself (interview as an adult) he never hallucinated at all. The story about eating biscuits with his grandfather he was talking about BEFORE he went missing. He said the press got a lot wrong.
They covered that interview. Last Friday, I think.
@annalivia1308 doubtful. I trust the person himself that lived through it and not some random guy on the internet 😂

This seems the most legit explanation
Amanita. Not amenata.
That all tracks!
Fun fact: some grow in my yard yearly. I leave them alone but they are pretty.
@@nancyheilman876 they’re one of the most beautiful mushrooms.
Regarding the hallucinogenics and eating "strange mushrooms", psilocybin only shows up on blood tests for about 12 hours after consumption and isn't included in most standard drug tests. They could also explain everything seeming louder than usual and both time and visual size distortions
Neither of shrooms nor LSD last anywhere near 3 days, 12 hours at most and only 3-4 hours is "peaking", so this just doesn't make sense.
More likely just a psychotic break. We don't know anything about this dude's mental health history.
Alice in Wonderland
As someone who hallucinates due to mental health issues, I also do not recommend hallucinating in the woods. Even a small set of well tended trails becomes a confusing maze when reality isn't lining up quite right. And you may think "oh my hiking/walking companion(s) will stop me," only if they can overpower you and get you before you start running.
Stop making excuses and take control of your life.
@@trustworthydan That's not very nice, Dan.
I think that’s actually pretty likely, lots of kids tell stories like that especially when they aren’t sure what they should say

Whether it be whimsical, poetic, or an in-depth analysis about politics or pollution, etcetera, it gets deleted or buried. Rhododendron flowers are special, when the bees make honey from them, they create a thing called " mad honey" it's hallucinogenic
I'd never heard of mad honey before.
its main effect is on your heart and respiration. it isn’t primarily a hallucinogen.

This is only important because when I'd go to the toilet to "purge" myself, I'd come out of the perpetual task and at one point I told my wife that the "Witches in the mountains put a curse on me."
Watch out for the mountain witches.
Yeah VERY strange
😂

It's what I would prefer in coverage of cases like this. It's a compliment. Thank you for doing a great job.
Additionally, consuming mushrooms that produced “strong sensations” suggests to me that something chemical was likely going on (not necessarily psychedelic, but some level of confusion or disassociation)
Now, whether that was a disassociative trip (datura experience reports gives a good example of this kinda crazy), or some kind of mental break precipitated by said chemicals, remains to be seen.
Side note, appreciate this comment! I was getting ready to comment something very similar.
Was thinking similar, but not directly related to the rhodies. Wonder if there could be a bloom or pollen that could cause delirium or similar
Yes. Grayanotoxins. It's an old intoxicant known to ancient civilizations and written stories about.
@@scripter13highly unlikely to be "mad hunny" as how would they consume it unless it had already been harvested? Wild Bees are feisty and typically won't completely abandon a hive

Still love the guy, his heart is in the right place and he shared some interesting stories. Thank you again for going the extra mile.
He is knowingly lying, he is a confirmed liar and clearly a master manipulator. People like you are the only reason he hasn't been exposed, so many have fallen for his emotional manipulation
lost power due to Helene and now that I got it back I now have a brand new Lodge to watch
U alright? Ive seen some videos that look real bad
@@otterbox8434 I lost power for like exactly 3 hours, thankfully I live like 3 hours from Atlanta so Helene was like a tropical storm instead of a hurricane
The absolute most convoluted segue for the channel. I love it
I really wanna see dave paulides get properly confronted about all the cases he's misleading about
He's great. What's your problem??
Your videos help me get through my work days thank you for everything you and our team does ❤️😊
15:30 Paullides needs to consider that correlation does not equate with causation.
I also don't mind if the videos is shorter, I just want a good concise episode, and I appreciate you not elongating the content to make the video longer when it doesn't need to be :)
all it takes is getting lost once and you start to rethink everything. we used to hike a few miles into the woods to smoke out of a communal hidden bong in the woods and we would get so stupid. there wasnt a paved trail leading up to that point so we coulda got turned around so easily. its not hard to look around for a second and then get totally disoriented in new places
That was a PEAK transition to the Ad Read
Their BEST transition, bar none.
True poetry
Nah Larry Davenport's odyssey out of reality was a peak transition
You guys help me sleep, so I'm glad you guys get me my entertainment to help me sleep!
“Imma walk out” took to seriously.
So I know I should say something about the excellent comprehensive research, easy to understand and balanced delivery, but really what made me comment was that nod to the Nittany Lions. WE ARE!
But for real, love your content!
Sounds like he was drugged they said he just got up and walked away from lunch😮WHAT!!!
Another great video, guys, and on my 41st birthday(September 27th)!
Debbie does Dallas prt2 @9:37 😂
"Skin tight" 😂
Why not include whistle to that list? It's so easy to just hold it in between your lips and let every exhale make you far more noticeable out in the woods. They're light and take up very little space. I remember them being standard in every survival kit when I was a kid, but now I don't see them as often.
Sounds like he was bored, took something to get him through a boring picnic with his girlfriend's family, then it hit him too hard
LSD can't b found in human tissue's or blood long after use, plus most drug test won't detect it, it takes some super sensitive equipment that isn't readily available to most doctors, I doubt that they would've been able to find anything. Even cocaine is usually gone after 3 days, especially if u don't have much fat.
Hope this helps
Prayers for East Tennessee following the storm of Hurricane Helene. As well as all other states affected by it like North Carolina and Florida. These Appalachia stories hit a little closer to home today.
He will never respond... I will make a small steel sculpture. I am designing it right now.
I really like that you footnote your sources, feels new, but then again might have just missed it
If people use chalant enough and in a "pretty standard way" then it will become a "real" word.
People just completely lose it
Love your channel... but
Being from NC, hearing you say things like Hickory, Charlotte observer, and things like that is, really .... well, kinda disconcerting.
I mean, I know how weird the place is, but funding out others know is kind of odd.
Keep up the great work
12:50 People can be disgruntled, but rarely are they gruntled.
This just had to start in the last 5 minutes of my break 😡
omg me too im on my 15 with only 5min left to watch this vid😢
Something to look forward to after and no stress you gotta go back after..
That transition is pure gold!!
Psychedelics make a lot of sense. I think that they were taken before he vanished. This is the most open and shut case in this cluster imo.
For anyone that's curious, I speak from experience. The woods are overrated for tripping. You are more likely to find the horror in things. And you may get lost.
Also, be a good partner and don't do that when you're with their parents. That's just giving me second hand embarrassment.
My experience with "magic" mushrooms... is that some can hit you via skin contact alone. resting your hand on top of a clump of them while filling a canteen might do it.
You've never done hallucinogenic if you think you're likely to just walk off into the woods. Maybe if you dropped a couple thousand microdots or something, but nobody does that on a date with their SO's parents. I think a hallucinogenic answer is cope.
@@marhawkman303That's bullshit, seeing as how psilocybin needs to be ingested in order to have any effect other than smelling like shit.
It's the food poisoning that makes you trip, buddy.
@@marhawkman303if your only experience is that one time when you were a teenager, you simply don't have any actual experience. A simple google search could have educated you enough to know that simply can't happen. LSD can activate via skin contact, though, so it's possible somebody dosed him without his knowledge. I have a hard time seeing anyone intentionally trip around their girlfriends family. Maybe their siblings, almost definitely not the whole fuckin family reunion.
@@ThrowAway-ji1cf Enh, that's if it's solely hallucinogenic. Some things mix hallucinogens with other effects.
I really enjoy your humor, it's mixes well & is most enjoyable!
Botany: Rohedendren (spelling???), is known in ethnobotany and is a key ingredient in various psychoactive honeys. It is also poisonous and psychoactive if eaten raw. Roman historians wrote about some enemy tribes poisoning a Roman legion Easily researched. Thanks.
I liked the coverage! I think it’s really amazing what Doug did after his son’s passing and all the accidents he has helped prevent since then ♥️
On a side note, you kept referencing bloodhounds with SAR, but then only had clips of GSDs 🤪 Not a big thing, but I just thought it was funny. Maybe there isn’t enough content featuring bloodhounds?
tbh tripping on mushrooms for 2 days doesnt sound right for having one dose, even if it was a large amount.... 2 days???? that wasnt just mushrooms
My husband’s best friend, who being a a young man in his mid twenties took magic mushrooms for a hike in nature and ended up falling off a cliff, he is luckily he utilized the buddy system and is still alive. The narrative that he told the first responders, medical professionals that treated him, and his parents was that he was just peeing off the side of the cliff and fell. What he told me and my husband was that he took had some magic mushrooms because he wanted experience nature while tripping when he came upon the cliff he felt compelled to leap without reason, while he was on the ground with extensive injuries unable to move hours while his hiking buddy had left to get help he thought he had actually died and that being a ghost was being stuck in the exact position you had perished in forever.
As someone getting to my 20s if someone was like "bro, let's go to this natural wonder and take some shrooms" I'd be like "damn, sounds cool" so it definitely doesn't seem too far off
As someone who is 20? Me too.
You made several interesting points on survival do’s & don’t’s considering the park’s large area. It’d be cool to do a deeper dive on the subject of survival within the various parks. Great video!
Larry Davenport sounds like he was high on something. It might have been dropped into something he drank as a bad joke. The losing his clothes sounds like it might be, I don't see anyone in a normal state of mind running around naked in the brush. It would also explain him not being able to tell what happened,
Druids?
I am not a smoker anymore (one of the reasons being that is's expensive) but charging 100 bucks for literally, as they themselves say, flavored air, is ridiculous
I had a bad acid trip at my little sister's basketball game..... not fun.
What a horrific time to drop lol
Thanks for demystifying many of these w/ everything that can be found.
I have a hard time w/ those who ramp up the unexplained whether intentional or not, by leaving information out (also whether intentionally or not).
If something unexplained DOES happen, we don’t need it cluttered and confused by a lot of other instances that are really not the same thing. :-/
21:21 something you would like to share with us aidan?
LOVE LOVE LOVE that you said you can't ask ur fans to hit the Like button without seeing it video 1st? Ty big fan here in TX, ur good!
Look into " mad honey"
That transition was Megatron level nasty!!! 🏆🏆🏆
As an aside, I loathe the new thumbnail format. The old format was clean and professional looking and gave real estate to the imagery. This one is just regular YT sensational slop to force down the algorithmic feeding tube.
I get it, Killdozer vid blows the fuck up so now every thumbnail has to yell at me. Slippery slope to red circles n arrows - all I'm sayin.
Unfortunately we have to do what gets the clicks :/
@@TheLoreLodge I personally really like it because then I know it's you guys videos.
@@TheLoreLodgeI know, dawg. I don't blame you, I blame the human condition.
