- It's made on a miniscule budget - but it packs a massive punch. Jai Bhim did not get a theatrical release like Suryavanshi - the 165 crore Akshay Kumar mega production ... but it has been getting rave reviews for its realistic portrayal of the police system in India and how the legal system works. Question is when will we see more such movies from Bollywood ???

Could not sleep last night and wrote this review / commentary today - movies have so much power to spread awareness .... yet Bollywood does so little. Hope Jai Bhim sets an example and people too show that they watch socially conscious movies. Do watch the movie if you get the time - its nice to know reality.

So true, In South Korea there is this film called Silenced 2011 which made the authorities to reopen a case filed against Child care Institute for deaf and mute children after the movie came out, which shook the society and made them realize the atrocities which the children had gone through. So movies do have great impact if made with sheer love for society.

This is a true incident that happened in my native town in Tamil Nadu; so I know how this movie truly depicts the incident. I am 73, no other movie shocked me so much as this one did. Deserves Oscar award in the foreign films category. My salutes to the JAIBHIM team
Now that Surya has set such a high benchmark by his role in this movie, it will be difficult for me to see Surya in any other mass masala role, group dance to loud songs with cheap lyrics, in garish color costumes.

Amazing movie. Couldn't stop myself from crying. Felt anguish towards the systemic violence against marginalized communities. Special credit to Surya who is taking up such critical issues to bring awareness. Tamilnadu CM announced free pattas to irula community as impact.
