    1) Any attempt from the Indian national Government to successfuly make Hindi as the 'national' language of India will automatically make non-Hindi speaking people be treated by the Hindi-
belt speaking people as 'second-class citizens' in their own country. Hindi is not the mother-tongue of majority of Indians in the country. It will not come naturally to them when
speaking or listening or reading or writing Hindi and the behaviour will always be subjected to accent mockery and ridicule. Although English is a foreign language to Indians it acts as a
good leveler in the sense that it is foreign to Hindi-speaking people as well as to non-Hindi speaking people. So, everyone has the equal opportunity to compete. Replacing English with
Hindi will give massive advantage to Hindi-speaking people and this will be unfair to non-Hindi speaking people.
    2) Hindi language practically has no use in science or technology. Nobody can become a doctor or an engineer or a technician by just learning Hindi. Hindi is just for knowing
entertainment through the overrated Bollywood insanity. English on the other hand is widely accepted on th global level and has more value to science, technology, communication etc
than any other language. English acts as an insurance policy and ensures that discrimination does not happen. Once upon a time there was a colonial power but it's all in the past.
Now, many people all over the world have accepted English and in today's globalised world nationalism is an out-dated concept.
    3) If numbers is the criteria for greatness of a language then the 'crow' should be the national bird of India and not the peacock or that the 'dog' should be the national bird of India
and not the tiger. If someone says that many people speak in Hindi in terms of speakers then he/she fails to look in the other way that majority of Indians don't communicate in Hindi.
Spoken and understood Hindi is different from read and understood Hindi. Hindi can mostly be understood in North India, Pakistan and Nepal. But Tamil, on the other hand, a Dravidian
language is recognised and official not only in the state of Tamil Nadu but also in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore and South Africa. Hindi lags behind compared to Tamil. Also, Tamil, Telegu,
Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odiya, Bangla, Aasami, Urdu, etc. are classical languages and have been in existence in history before Hindi.
    4) At independence, the states in India were mostly formed on linguistic basis. We have a Maharashtra for Marathi-speaking people, a Gujarat for Gujarati-speaking, a Tamil Nadu for
Tamil-speaking people and so on. Then why does the Hindi belt have so many states even when they have Hindi as one language? That is because the influence of Rajastani, Awadhi,
Marwadi, Bhojpuri, Santhali, etc. languages was mowed down because of Hindi imposition and they were designated to the level of just 'dialects' of Hindi. This is what happens when Hindi
imposition happens. Marathi used to be written in Mudi lipi (script) before but because of the Devnagri script imposition back in the 1950s for Hindi, Marathi, Konkani, Nepali, Sanskrit,
etc. Marathi lost its influence. The Marathi written in the Mudi script can be found in some places like Pune in Maharashtra but it will be a futile effort now to revive the status.
The only stupid defence is that the government will say that the mudi script of Marathi was continuous in nature and would have been difficult to get that type-written on the press -
which is a stupid logic as the press could type write all other languages like Punjabi, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telegu, Odiya, Bangla, Aasami, etc. and just could not
do the same thing for Marathi? This is making Maharashtrians fall to hypocrisy in trying to please the centre as well as fight for the Marathi identity existence. Marathi people are facing
the crisis for the reason that they are struggling to have a script for their own in official use.
    5) The two language formula 'Mother tongue language + English' is sufficient. Three language formula doesn't make sense. What the 3-language formula does is that it wants the non-Hindi
speaking states to have three languages -> mother tongue for within the state communication + English for communication outside the state to the rest of the world + Hindi for
communication within India with others who don't understand English. This makes the Hindi belt to just have one language Hindi as they will not bother to study English. Why should
someone from Tamil Nadu or Bengal or Maharashtra have English to communicate with the rest of the world and Hindi to communicate in India when the same Indians can understand English?
English is sufficient practical as a link language. We are typing comments on TH-cam and social media platforms in English, aren't we? So, English is the only link that works.
    6) Hindi imposition will destroy the unity in diversity of India. There had been riots over this controversy since 1937, the 1950s, the 1960s and might happen now or later in the future.
The idea of one nation, one election, one party, one uniform, one language etc. all this oneness stems out from the RSS ideology which was inspired in turn from the Nazi Germany. It is
harmful, racist, religiously intolerant, linguistically chauvinistic and detrimental in nature. Tamil Nadu will be the first state in India to secede from the Union of India if Hindi
imposition ever becomes a reality. The tolerant nature of the average Indian ensured that India did not face any violent revolution since independence that would have had broken the
country apart. But this patience is now tested to the limit by the BJP Government.
    7) Migration for work happens largely from the Hindi belt to the non-Hindi speaking states and not vice versa. So, now you see how much grave the problem is in the Hindi backward belt.

So respect and support all languages because that's what makes us unique people around the globe. JAI HIND.

As a South Indian, I notice that when we move to the North, we usually try to learn Hindi to communicate. But when North Indians come to the South, they often don’t make an effort to learn our local languages. If you're staying in my state, it’s important to respect and accept my culture and language. I believe it’s essential to appreciate each other’s cultures and languages to create a more harmonious community.

I'm South Indian who lives in Maharashtra. After Amit Shah started promoting Hindi as the national language I've stated speaking in Marathi to the fruit vendors who comes from the Northern states like UP, MP, Bihar etc. Maybe they should also learn to make an effort to learn the language of the state in which they earn their income.

Maybe just maybe someone who's a fruit vendor is not capable of picking up new languages or maybe they are but they have other things to prioritize in order to survive . Not sure about rest of maharashtra but everyone understands hindi in Mumbai. Plus I would rather they learn English, it opens up the world, Marathi or any south Indian language not so much, and it's a hard fact.

Why would he dent his own money making prospect at this time by raking up a controversy. And they learn about hindi's poetic devices etc till class 9-10th..The Punjabi which is taught doesn't even have the poem's for which Punjabi Literature is known. (I am talking about cbse schools)
And the level of Punjabi has severly dipped from last 10 years..
Moreover the BJP led government has tried to super impose hindi.. Punjabi is restricted to be taught in army schools, and sanskrit in introduced ahead.. (Although Punjab is the state that provides a significant share of defence personnel for india.. !!)
Punjabi was removed as a recognized language in jammu and kashmir.. While after urdu, dogri, hindi etc.. Punjabi was also spoken in hilly areas.. And they have removed it..
It's is like they are trying to completely right off a Punjabi personality from a Punjabi person too.. Children here from non sikh families have started speaking hindi as the communal divide is being propagated by the government controlled media.. (Even a language now has a religion.. Wow.!!🥲.)

The word 'slap' was used as a wake-up call to Bollywood at one point of time, specially after the popularity of Bahubali. Because, Bollywood was making shitty movies barring a few exceptions (Sanjay Leela Bhansali). Of course, Dangal as an exception made big on international arena. But the movie is not about Creativity, special effects, and storyline. It is rather based on social issues. And its not about how many crores it made. Bahubali is known for its great special effects, Big scale, storyline and creativity, which Bollywood movies (and for that matter Southern film industry) hugely missed for long time. Bahubali was a Game-changer and it made a huge International audiences. In fact, it was Karan Johar who first said that Bahubali is a 'beautiful slap' on our faces.

If only some people opened their Hindi grammar textbooks in school.
    हिंदी हमारी राजभाषा है.
राजभाषा means the language used for official purposes by the Government of India. Hindi and English are given such status. Whereas राष्ट्रभाषा means national language. Just like how India has no national religion, India has no national language. And that is what makes us stand out from the rest of the world. It's sad that the citizens of the country known for वसुधैव कुटुम्बकं have forgotten its true meaning.

I had to study 3 different languages which where originated from different language families
It's against equality, because a person who is born with a hindi mother tongue only has to study 2 languages (Hindi and English) while for us it's 3
We all know that in this era English is really important as it is indeed a global language
And Mother tongue is our identity, it's deeply rooted within us

Whereas we who have regional languages like bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, etc are only getting 1 day to revise SSt. Actually CBSE has give the Regional languages exam with the 3 days gap of sst. As a result we are only getting 1 day for both Bengali(for me) / other regional languages and SSt and 1 think I also want to say that we all know that every year the syllabus of SSt is always huge whether it is divided into 2 terms or not. SSt is combination of 4 sub subjects just like science. So we are forced to revise 3 subjects within the 7 days gap of math. 😫
