    Nice short review. Thank you.
    With limited range and high price, the diesel alternative is the logical choice for the moment unless you're strictly doing city trips.

      Absolutely, though only in town - motorway miles kill the range!

      Taxi drivers or private hire that take customers no further than 80 miles before getting back on a charger and not even that if actually cold weather. All season tyres are going to be a necessity.

    I drive the Peugeot e-Expert (75 kw) around town every day, and the range is in real life less than 200 km at this time of year. We have three of these, driven by three different perople. I guess we carry around 200 kg of interior/ tools. All get similar range. Not very impressed.

    Was that 130 miles all on your own? So you got about the same as an e-Corsa / e-208 with 2 in it. We need to know how far it goes with a driver and a Rugby Sevens team and their kit.

      @@DrivingElectric what you need to get in some 50 kg weights and put 6 in EV,s when testing them. And maybe if a cars guessometer shows 130 miles after charging go drive it 120 miles before recharging. No point always driving Family cars like a Rep / travelling sales person does or a Car Salesman with a dealers demonstrator.

    Any word on the e-berlingo, e-rifter etc release in the UK? Seeing some reviews from from the continent. Ta.

    Range is poor. Need 250 miles minimum for me to switch from my Seat Alhambra. I also have a new seat mii electric which is perfect around town.

    "that should be a plenty of time for every single one of your eight passengers to have a bit to eat or a quick rest" - that is truth. About 7 and a half hour for a quick rest every 130 miles. Ald how is the situation in Bolivia (the biggest resources owner of lithium for producing batteries) still poor and after another coup de etat delivered by western electric civilization so an individual in London may think he/she lives in much ecological world?

  • @oliverstemp9132
    @oliverstemp9132 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’m a fan of electric cars, but there’s no point to this, 130 miles is nowhere near far enough. Get the Berlingo/Rifter/Combo instead, they go 180 miles which is more useable and still have 7 seats

    This is embarrassing! Citroen is one of the brands that will feel the transition to EV the hard way.

    • @megane230f1
      @megane230f1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      not so embarrassing once you see planning a route around the whole of scotland will cost you nothing as they have a network of free chargers, these people who want big batteries remind me of those on the trails who want huge batteries in there ebikes that never use them up, big batteries longer to charge cost more to charge up, use this van in a planned manner and you’re laughing

  • @larsvaneynde4281

    This is one of the minibus' available in my company's lease program but man am I disappointed. That range is just terrible... I can't imagine driving this van for 900km to the Alps, 1800km to Spain or any other trip I wanna go on. What a terrible year to start leasing, I better start looking for some Diesel alternatives.
    It's not like this van hasn't got the space for more batteries and more hp... What's the point of a multivan if you're standing still most of the time.

    • @megane230f1
      @megane230f1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      i have leased one of these through my company it’s cheaper for me to lease this van than run my car on petrol every week infact im 30 quid a week better off leasing it, i watched a vid of this exact van been used on a 1000 mile scotland road trip on another channel and it was spot on, it has a 100kw charger meaning it charges quickly, as for me i do about a 100 miles a week meaning its more than enough for me and any road trips will be strategically planned across the uk

    • @larsvaneynde4281
      @larsvaneynde4281 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@megane230f1 if you can find a fast charger every 200km, you still have to stop for at least 30 minutes every 2 hours and that's best case scenario. I don't know man, don't really need a van for my commute but the reason I would get one is to make trips with friends through Europe. I'm sure it's cheaper than any petrol van in the long run but I'd at least expect 350 km range to make it bearable.

    The whole purpose of buying a people carrier is for their practicality. Citroen need to go back to the drawing board with this vehicle because a people carrier with a range of 130 miles is about as practical as a chocolate teapot.

    • @DrivingElectric
      @DrivingElectric  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe we're all missing the point. Cars like these make great taxis, often running around town and to the airport, where a huge range is perhaps not that important. Also, remember that this is based on a panel van designed for zero-emission last-mile deliveries, where 130 miles is plenty!

    • @seanhunt7750
      @seanhunt7750 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@DrivingElectric Taxi's spend the whole day driving around. With that extremely limited range you will be forever charging it up. If people are going to be convinced to switch over to electric ( with all of its inconveniences like actually (a) finding a charger and (b) one that works and (c) one that isn't occupied) then a minimum range of at least 300 real world miles is a must.
