I already see what appears to me to be less cars on the road & people driving slower with gas at $3.70 / gallon in South Florida.

Newest refinery: Feb 2022, Texas International Terminals, Channelview, TX 45000b/cd
The more significant output refinery was built 1977, Marathon Petroleum, Garyville, LA, it started at 200000b/cd, and has been upgraded in 2023 to 596000 b/cd.
The upgrades to refineries is huge.
Has David switched jobs? I find him one of the best financial interviewers out there. If he has struck off on his own, I am sure he is going to crush it. A natural interviewer.
Oil will go over 170$ this year.
I don't know about that number but look at the price action in the xle ETF this week. Gap down Monday buyers step and close high, Tuesday same thing, Wednesday as well, same thing Thursday, Friday only day that closed lower but definitely buyers there. That is accumulation and very bullish.

Great interview David, great questions, you’re a rockstar but I disagree with your guest; if the Israel-Iran conflict didn’t move the needle for oil to go up, “unless” we get a full on war I don’t see oil going up. It’s in a bear market, anticipating a recession and low demand. The only way oil goes north of $100 is war in which is probable but without war it’s in a bear market . On a risk-reward basis I’d rather invest in gold and silver with many other variables supporting gold and silver , then depend on war to be the only driver for higher oil.
Great interview. I completely agree that copper is where it’s at. I think EV’s will go the way of the dodo. But tech, defense and western construction is going to shove copper to a level that, while short of being able to be called a precious metal, it will certainly be one of the costlier components needed for any industry
Why no mention of silver ?
You can just look and rig count, production reports, and investment going into oil companies. Everything is plateauing and declining, just because we emptied the SPR and futures traders keep playing games on ledgers to keep the price low doesn't mean this will keep going.
This is also assuming the rest of the world won't continue to consume more (they will) and no geopolitical conflict.
To what extent can copper be substituted with aluminum for electrical infrastructure. The transmission lines are aluminum not copper.
We can refine sweet crudes no problem. It doesnt always give the ideal finished product mix and youll under utilize all of your desulfurization and coker units.
If oil goes to $200 we are all fckd.

For long term investors, the only question is which of the oil majors to invest in. Next consideration is which jurisdiction hosts the most active “activist investors”, and where ESG is the biggest drag.
Which does indeed mean Exxon, Chevron, Oxy, Hess, and Shell if it decides to list in the US.
Always amazed at otherwise stellar commentators relapse to the “oil is a global commodity” trope and claim the cost of diesel & gasoline outside of Govt control.
When was the last time they visited the Gulf countries, oil producers in North Africa and many many developing countries where it’s a *political* decision to cap prices to prevent utter anarchy. Any President could use an Executive Order to achieve very similar outcome. It will have economic consequences, but such things are politically driven.
Would be nice to see some honesty on such topics.
I was sure last year would end terrible for me but I think AMKKGPT is spot on with what they do and how they do it. Cant say for how long its going to work and for sure it is overyhped right now but even if just half a year or something it would be smart to ride the wave and then jump away eventually, but the reason why this is smart right now is because its so cheap, wont ever find a better entry than now
$200 oil not gonna happen with the US in a recession. Time for a reality check.
It will if the dollar crashes. That could make oil cheaper abroad and more expensive in the US.

First time I heard that US produces “ sweet” oil that is hard to refine so we need the imports😮😮😮 someone help me with this? What can we do about this situation?
Light, sweet is for gasoline but we need heavy for diesel fuel. "Sweet" means low in sulfur.

Why would this guy misled people about refineries.Light sweet is the easiest to refine.The refinery process is based on gravity.All other types of heavier shall creates more sentiment.Its hard to filter .Light sweet is what the majority of America refineries are built for.We have had too retrofit some refineries for everything other

Oil is traded globally. If it's $200 somewhere else and $50 here, and you owned it, would you say "No, I'll just sell my oil here for $50"?
If you believe the inflation data I really I have to assume you are oblivious of reality. These guys are referring to it like it is believable. That is the basis for their future thesis. Navity is cute in kids not so much in adults.
AMKKGPT has the most potential to do 10x. While BTC and ETH can have their 2-3X this year I believe that this one since it's branded by a strong name will have overall better results

This guy is so wrong. In California gas is over $6 a gallon, approaching 7 in some locations .car insurance has jumped 35%. Consumers are definitely hurting and cutting spending. The recession is here start saving now
