    • @PookieDoodleCrafts

      It should stay flat, I wonder if your tension is a bit tight, maybe try to crochet a bit looser or add an extra stitch in the increase now and again.

    This is a very easy-to-follow tutorial. I made a basket for my son who is coming to visit at the end of the month. Or rather, I made it for his cat.
    I made a cushion insert from a piece of foam I cut out (two circles, one the size of the foam and one bigger to cover the sides, then sewn together). Since I had quite a bit of foam left, I decided to use it for the sides instead of stuffing. But now I had a problem with ruffling on the inside. Could you advise me: how should I space the reduction stitches over the rows?

    • @PookieDoodleCrafts
      @PookieDoodleCrafts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really sure what to suggest. I think it would have to be a bit of trial and error spacing decreases on a row and seeing if it stopped the ruffles, I don’t think you would need too many.

    • @paulinel2647
      @paulinel2647 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve never tried washing machine but have hand washed OK. It’s a tricky one as it might depend on the type of stuffing and how much is put in.

    I would like to make this for a Staffordshire bull terrier dog how would i make it larger if that doesn't sound to thick

    • @PookieDoodleCrafts
      @PookieDoodleCrafts  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Nikki, of course that doesn't sound thick :) To make it larger I would work the base round and round until you thought it was wide enough for your dog to sit on, then begin the sides as in the video. If you want the sides higher, again just continue going round and round until you are happy with the height and then finish off the stuffing and sewing part. Hope that helps and your dog appreciates your effort.

I'm using a slightly bigger hook and yarn I have on hand and would like to make the circular base as close to the one in the video as possible. How much stuffing do you need? Dont know if I should buy 300g or 1000g:)

    • @PookieDoodleCrafts
      @PookieDoodleCrafts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure as I didn’t weight it, I used an old pillow I think, it depends how stretchy your yarn is too and it does pack down as you stuff, so if you think you’d use any leftover stuffing in another project and can afford it I’d probably go for the bigger pack.

  • @MariaGonzalez-kb7bn
    @MariaGonzalez-kb7bn 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just found this video and I've been trying to make this bed but I keep failing. My edges start to curl up at around the 4th round. I start with 3 dc then increase the next stitch. Should I skip one so it doesn't curl? Or what am I doing wrong? I've had to restart multiple times and it's always the same result. :(

    • @PookieDoodleCrafts
      @PookieDoodleCrafts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you think it’s curling because you have too many stitches and it’s loose? Or because there is not enough and it’s curling because it’s too tight? Each round should add 1 stitch between each of the increases. For example do an increase then do 4 stitches then another increase, on the next round do 5 in between the increases, next 6 and so on.
