Story 1: Cheating on your wife is bad enough, but getting your kids, 9 and 11 years old, to cover the fact that you're cheating?? Now that's scummy at its finest.
I’m gonna be honest and say for an few seconds I thought Op didn’t realize cause they were straight and didn’t think that was flirting from the same sex. But no apparently Op does swing that way which did make me chuckle an bit
Dude, I didn't realise that it was flirting either. The entire time, I was wondering what was the angle here and now I'm having flashbacks to something that happened over 7 years ago
The third story really gives credit to the meme that you can put fifty single lesbians in a room together, and they'll spend the entire time complaining about being single yet will leave just like they entered
Honestly... I saw "my husband and son are cheating on me" as "cheating on me.... With each other", so the mental image was worse when Dabney said "My son is 11.”
I thought it meant OP was in a relationship with her husband and son and they(son and husband) were having an affair with either the same woman or separate women.😮😮😮 This train of thought was brought to you by an earlier Rslash story involving an aunt and her nephew.
Dude that last story gave me whiplash lmao, at first I was like "What the hell is wrong with this nurse?? Why is she being so rude and entitled and delusional??" It literally never even crossed my mind that she was flirting with OP, my god I feel like I was on a rollercoaster
Yeah, I really don't get the "you offended me so now you need to make it up to me" style of flirting thing some people apparently do. It's weird to me. How is someone supposed to pick up that you're interested if they think you're mad at them?
It makes me cringe when people think it's cute but the story always made me uncomfortable. Like if you wanna flirt with me, fine, but don't be an ass or try to manipulate into feeling bad for your poor communication
@@cynister7384 You're probably right. I just take people way too literally sometimes, especially if I don't know them well. Getting mixed signals like that makes me want to either disengage or "fix" the issue.
We need more wholesome Bestof stories. They’re a needed reminder that humanity is at times better than what the rest of the Reddit stories leave us to believe.
Oh my god, I hope the first OP gets her oldest son therapy ASAP. Being manipulated by your parent to lie to your other parent can screw up your head so bad. It breaks my heart way more than the cheating.
i'm not lesbian ( bisexual asexual instead ) but if someone flirts with me they HAVE to bang it over my head like it's a metal pipe or i'll just think 'wow they're being nice! what a nice person who wants to be friends (:'
@@Kogobean well if we're getting technical, I'm an asexual lesbian who's married. My wife had to practically ambush me with an engagement ring to get it through my head! Now I just remind her that "you married this, you're stuck with me now!"
@@sageart4771 Oh, absolutely! Especially at that age. If they were older and had more of a grasp of what was happening, I think it would hurt more. I wonder what he told the kids, or if it really was just "it'll hurt mommy's feelings that she couldn't come with us." Sometimes it's really easy to take advantage of a child's empathy at those ages.
Yea Im pretty sure they didnt know about the fathers 'feelings' they just thought they were having fun and didnt want to 'get in trouble' He was probably lying to them as well.
When you're a kid, you go for self-preservation, even if that means straight up lying. My mom told me that she _knew_ she had to leave her abusive boyfriend when I was 2 or 3 and I lied right in front of her. We had gotten stranded and stayed the night with a friend of hers who happened to be a guy. Mom and I slept on the couch, he in his bed. Boyfriend accuses her of sleeping with the guy, she says she was with me the whole night and to ask me if he didn't believe her. Now, I'd been on the receiving end of his horrific abuse as well as see him hurt and try to kill my mom. I could read him, even that little, and apparently I went with "tell him what he wants to hear". My mom said her heart broke when I looked right at her and said, "Yeah, she slept in his bed and I was on the couch by myself." She realized what kind of position she was putting me in day in and day out, and she got us out after. We had to live in a women's shelter for a while, and she did end up going back to him for a while after he love bombed her, but she was a battered 19/20 year old. I don't hold it against her.
@@luvondarox either way he was just doing what the dad told him to do, just because he's at the age that he should know better doesn't mean he's going to disobey his dad
Story 1: he was so cocky he wouldn't get caught that he went up to OP's face and compared the two, as if he was bragging to his wife that he was getting away with it. In the end that's what got him caught, believing his wife with too stupid to not read in between the lines. Before we all crucify the oldest son for covering for Dad I need to know why, is there a chance he was manipulating his kids in the keeping it secret but the younger one was too small to fully understand?
Yeah I can't really blame the kids too much here at their age. It's so easy to say "if you tell mommy this, she will be upset at YOU and never want to speak to you again".
The youngest boy still told his mom the truth whereas his older brother chose to lie to his mom. Stop lying to yourself about the sons being manipulated because the oldest took it upon himself to lie about the sunglasses without any prompting from his dad. Kids do know right from wrong and they also know how to lie. The younger brother might not have known but his older brother was aware of his father’s treachery towards his mom. That son can live with his dad. This isn’t the first story where a son was duplicitous in helping his father cheat on the mom.
@@MsTemptation The thing is you don't know if there was "no prompting from the dad" I was an older sibling in a broken relationship and parents use their own kids ALL the time to either get back at each other and/or hide things. Sometimes the prompt is way before an actual discussion happens. Also, they're starting to develop a moral, perhaps at at the age but: 1) this moral is influenced by the caretaker 2) kids at that age can be brided so easily without necessarily knowing they shouldn't. As in "why wouldn't I do that? Dad said he would buy me x toy" 3) 11 is so young, they're not even teens, or barely starting depending the age you believe it start 4) A kid that think he can saves their parent relationship will sometimes do anything as long as they don't fight 5) it's so easy to think that if they're the one to bring it up then they will be the one that did something wrong and will be blamed for it The youngest did choose honesty over 'hurting feelings' but maybe the dad said something different to the oldest because "you're older and you'll understand better". Also, 9 is still at the age where sometimes you don't understand the consequences of your own words so he maybe simply didn't think about it. Plus, kids can be conditionned through a lot of things. And you know what? Often kids just want their parents to be proud. Even if it was unprompted, maybe he just wanted to make his dad proud. And maybe he was told a similar thing to the youngest "your mom will be sad if she learn about it." People react differently to the same information all the time. The gist of it is - Did the kid do the right thing? Obviously not. Should he be taught better? Obviously. But it's not reason to be super harsh because we don't know what happened behind the curtains. And yes, we could say the same thing about my side of things. We don't know what happened. And frankly, especially because of that, I don't think we should focus on the kid.
Its highly likely that he manipulated them constantly, so i dont blame the 11yo even tho he probably felt it was wrong. Wow that story really got me annoyed for op and the other woman. Edit: autocorrect 🙄🙄🙄
Story 1 - it's worse than just the husband and son lying to her. When they got caught, the husband tried to throw the son under the bus, saying he found the glasses in the son's backpack. So dude is a cheater and a terrible father. I don't blame the kid for lying. When your dad tells you to do something, most kids do it and aren't mature enough to question it.
To give the father the slightest bit of decency, it was the son who came up with the lie, the dad just played along Doesn't make it right, but is less horrific
@@dhi_holo Are we sure about that? 14 year olds can be crafty, but I'm finding "covering up your dad's extra-marital affair on the fly" to be kind of a stretch.
That's not what the sentence "Aren't they yours?" means lol. It means the husband didn't know they weren't the wife's and thought they were. Nothing to do with the wife knowing what's hers.
Right? I know what I own, what color it is, etc. My husband was always surprised and frustrated when our son was a baby because I had an encyclopedic knowledge of our child’s wardrobe. Even the clothes that didn’t fit yet. I also always knew which ones were clean and which ones were in the dirty laundry. (Now my kid is a teen and I’m slightly less knowledgeable about his wardrobe.) So, if I had that kind of knowledge about my kid’s belongings, you better believe that I have similar knowledge about _my_ belongings. My husband, on the other hand, can hold up a t-shirt and not be sure who’s it is, even though it’s obviously a men’s shirt in a 2XL. Our son wears a mens medium. Guess what size my husband wears. He’ll say “I don’t remember this shirt”, and I can tell him when we bought it and where from. Heck, if we bought it online, I can probably show him the receipt. Lol.
Story 2: Desperation will do that to you. It made her arrogant and unqualified for what she wanted. But, she did learn and I'm glad that she actually is a nice person
Yes. At least she had the introspection and self-awareness to look within herself that the measure she had taken to improve her way of life were very badly judged. Not everyone is capable of this. I used to know someone who lied on her resume and essentially every time she opens her mouth. She was one of those people who played the victim / charity case to get what she wanted but never could keep her story straight. In other words she was a pathological liar, a total asshole and would sell her own children up the river to get what she wanted. In the end, it was discovered she was so inept she couldn't pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel.
@@Josh_the_jester not everyone. Let's say it's an actor's resume. It's one thing to lie about your hair color, your age, your weight, your birth year. That's just sheer vanity. To lie about years of experience that you don't have, make up credits that never existed or claim to know people when you don't know them, that's just pure fraud. People will fact check your resume. Sometimes no answer is an answer.
Last story: that's adorable, it's okay OP I suck at flirting too. Some people love comes easy, and others are completely oblivious when it comes to themselves.
My dad also used me brother and I to lie to our mom so he could carry on his affair. I still feel awful about what we put our mom through. Parents who use their kids to hide their affairs are a special kind of awful.
Likely he didn't need to be this overt, at that age the kid most likely knew by himself that his parents were going to divorce if the mum found out about the dad's affair and didn't want things to change/ his mum to be upset.
I would not put it past him. I love my dad, but he can be a real ass sometimes. He's never cheated, but him and my butted heads about us when we were teenagers. I was in the room when he told my brother once, "if your mom and I get divorced, I'm coming after the person responsible, and that's you."
Story 1 : Did the husband manipulate the son into lying to op ?? The kid is 11 which is not exactly the free thinking age... Story 2 update: It's good that the embarrassment humbled Annabelle down to being a normal person.. Story 3 : NTA..the nurse is clearly hitting on op because of the doctor thing..op is just missing the hints..
Thats always a possibility, but 11 is still an age where they can definately know and understand what cheating is. The fact he covered things up how he did knows he had to keep the secret to a bigger degree than what the 9 year old said the dd told him. An 11 year old wouldnt think her feeling bad because she was working and they were having fun is like an actual reason for keeping it secret.
@@witchy90210 It's entirely possible the dad bribed him with promises to get him something expensive that he wants if he covers for him. While an 11 y/o is old enough to understand what cheating is, any morals could easily be overridden with good enough rewards.
@@witchy90210Judging based on the landscape on r/incel tears, neck beard, nice guys, etc. a lot of men think affairs done by men are justifiable. He probably sat his older son down and taught him the same.
Personally when I was 11, I got manipulated by my dad really easily into repeating insults to my stepfather, covering for his abuse, and lying about how late I was actually picked up from school. I really doubt that the kid really understood, but that's just anecdotal experience, so if he did, that's a job for a very accomplished therapist.
First Story: Obviously OP's husband is cheating on her and he either coached the 11 year old to lie on his behalf or he bribed the son into keeping quiet and lie to OP about it. That said, I won't fault the kid because he is a kid but OP's husband is a scumbag for cheating and getting his own son to cover this cheating. Wow, this man is an absolute scumbag and selfish. Instead of just ending things with OP he decided to lie to both OP and Noelle because he caught feelings for the latter and didn't want to risk his marriage incase it was just a crush. Yeah, those choices of his caused him to lose both Noelle and his marriage with OP Second Story: There is being confident and then there is what Annabelle did lmao. She really thought she was going to get hired on the spot with all the things she did and how she was acting? I know lying during interviews is common but she took it up to a different level. That was a good ending to this story; I'm glad Annabelle saw the error of her ways and apologized to OP and learned her lesson Third Story, NAH: Why does OP need to mention what she does for a living? I don't get what this nurse is talking about. OP isn't obligated to tell this lady anything about what she does. Just because OP is a doctor doesn't me she has to tell every school nurse she goes to about it. Unless a kid is literally dying and OP happens to be there, then thats a different story but in this case OP is not obligated to tell this lady anything about herself but it is crazy how OP was oblivious to the flirting lo l
On the third story I think the nurse was just saying that to use so she could say that OP could make it up to her lol. Like acting upset about it so she could use it to flirt lol.
Nurse, from the 3rd OP's perspective: Nurse thinks I'm rude and she's mad at me?? OP, from the Nurse's perspective: She's responsible enough to be trusted to pick up a child, she's someone her niece looks up to, *and* she works in the medical field too. If I don't shoot my shot with this woman, I'm gonna be mad at *myself.*
First story, OP really needs to talk with her sons and Noelle about everything. Outside of their youngest, her soon-to-be ex was lying like crazy to everyone on top of telling their other son to lie for him. That man is in the negatives in regards to trust and the kids shouldn't be left alone with him. Hopefully OP can get custody of them from him.
Story #1: OP needs Noelle to give a statement for the court if she is in an at fault state.. Typically it is frowned upon to bring your kids on dates with the other woman.
Story 3-ish: it only took me the best part of 20 years to realise that a friend of mine from school had been annexing parts of the friendzone. We were always a bit closer than normal friends, and often engaged in a bit of (I thought) playful flirting. Sweetest, most attractive girl in my year, and I had a crush on her, but she was so far out of my league that I was 3 promotions away from her. I was the guy she used to ward other guys off, by hugging me or holding my hand if they got a bit much. Were we in a relationship without me knowing? Why didn't she just tell me outright? Why didn't anybody else point it out to me? PS I totally would've. Saw her recently, still would if she wasn't married with kids. I'm not going to break up a happy loving relationship just for self-gratification.
I can only imagine and weep at how many times I’ve missed being flirted with because I did not pick up on flirting until the very end of that last story! That was so cute. Rslash, you should consider always ending on a wholesome story!
okay but the last story is so relatable. as a gay woman, this is SO common. like we can be SO oblivious. it can be really hard to tell if someone is flirting or it they are just nice?? lol
Go Noel! Totally love how she dumps the husband as soon as she finds out he lied. Not sure about the son. It's not his responsibility to tell his mom anything. However, he shouldn't have lied. He should have said something like, "ask dad".
I love how this started off with a sad situation but ended up so wholesome. I hope it works out with OP and the nurse just so OPs niece has a story she can tell for the rest of her life.
The nurse's flirting going completely over Op's head was adorable lmao. It's cute that she managed to catch on sooner and make a following move. They sound adorable. First: I don't know man. I think my kid covering the cheating for my spouse would've hurt more than the cheating itself. I feel so bad for Op cause now she has to face two betrayals.
I recently saw a Reddit post about a guy who literally had just realized someone was flirting with him 20y+ ago but he reacted like op in the last story and did not know why the person got mad at him and blocked him everywhere 😂😂😂 Maybe I saw it here? Who knows.
My ex wife met a guy three years into our marriage. Not only did the 2 of them take my kids to things while I was at work, but she even had the nerve to introduce him to me as best friend from high-school
@@Rosskles Yes, but there's no way to prove or disprove any of it from behind a screen, so I take it as "possibly true, but maybe fake" for the sake of simplicity. That, and with some stuff that's insanely crazy but is _definitely_ true out there, I lean towards assuming it _could_ be true than just assume it's fake because of personal incredulity.
the 3rd story also had some FANTASTIC comments to go with, my favorite was one like "1 are you single? and 2 does she have a chance?" to which OP replied "Yes and yes" It's SOOOO wholesome and adorable
Finally! For once the affair partner drops the cheating spouse when they realize they’ve been deceived as well!! But oh my goodness the cheating is bad enough but he used and manipulated his own sons. I was expecting the sons to be teenagers, but no, they’re 11 and 9, barely even in middle school. They’re still innocent to most things and he ruined that innocence for them. Absolutely disgusting.
I gotta say, the second two stories have such sweet endings it made me smile from ear to ear :) I know the second one didn't start out that way, but it's wonderful to see people grow and change and learn to be the best versions of themselves. And story 3 was just plain old adorable 😊
Rslash videos are my daily dose of seratonin. Trying to read the Reddit posts is difficult for me, so hearing them is great. Thank you Rslash for your videos and making my last couple years tolerable. I have stories that could be up on here, but I can't write it out to be entertaining enough for people to read.
2nd story: I remember hearing that story a few years ago I’m thinking “ good, she deserve that for making yourself look stupid”. It’s kind of surprising to hear how this update turned out. At least she learned from that experience and became better for it
I love wholesome clueless sapphic stories!! I wish those two a lot of happiness together ^^ As much as I love AITA and Pro Revenge sometimes you just need some wholesomeness
I was fully going "oh yeah, of course Dr. OP is clueless." Admittedly: it can be hard sometimes to tell if a woman is just having platonic conversation with another woman, or if there's flirting. 10/10 not surprised Dr. OP was having a moment of it all just nyooming over her head.
First story gave me PTSD vibes of the story of the woman who's husband cheated on her and got her narcissistic son to lie for the husband because the husband gave him gifts to maintain his silence. With the update that the son contacted OP to get her to pay for his college, after he went NC with OP simply because she was poor. If I were the mother of that first story, I'd get the kids in therapy immediately and explain the ENTIRE story of what was happening so they knew and understood the pain they were causing or potentially causing.
I agree honestly. Parents in broken relationship use their kids to get back at each other or hide thing from the other all the time. Especially that 11 is pretty young and you're still following pretty blindly at that age. We can't expect kids to always know what's the best decision - sure, I would say you could turn this into a teaching moment but that is still a kid.
My favorite "tell me a time someone missed your obvious signal" story is the mom telling her daughter a story about the girl who showed her a tattoo on her nether regions that was something like a boat above her pubic region and a hidden fish. This was decades ago, and the mom suddenly snaps to and goes, "She was totally flirting with me."
I like the last two, kind of makes up for how horrible the first one was. and as they say, you can be the most intelligent person in the world, but you can be incredibly dumb when it comes to matters of the heart. I hope OP in the last story has a good relationship with that school nurse
First story: one thing I love about this story that OP didn't go beat up Noelle like most people do when they heard that their bf/gf cheated on them, they end up beat up the other person and alot of time the person they cheated on didn't even know they together and OP told her the true and Noelle got mad at husband for lying and yea the fact OP older son lie about for dad, Idk if I could trust my son ever again if I was OP lying about the other parent cheating that mean the older son for sure going grow up being a cheating less OP put her foot down
AAAA! That last story was so cute! Some people are just so unaware of flirting and it was very sweet and wholesome of reddit to help the clueless lesbian. I hope they had a good time together, and the only thing that would make this better is if another update came saying they were gonna get married
Story 1: i don't blame the 11 year old kid. He is still too young and we don't know what did the father told him to stay quiet. I blame the husband all the way. Last story: Aw, man! I was totally clueless! I am on the spectrum, the whole cheating thing went through my head! It made me think of all the times similar thibgs happened to me. Damn it! 😅
I feel bad for both women and children in the first story. Husband is absolutely horrible. **edit. Kinda disagree with R/ at the end. I personally wouldn’t hold it against the son for lying. He’s just a kid and probably doesn’t truly understand what he’s trying to cover up. Shame on the father for dragging his children into his affair and asking them to lie for him.
Haha, I remember reading a Reddit thread a while back and the topic was "Tell your stories about the moment when you realized that dang, that one girl/guy back then was flirting with me and I didn't get it until now". People are very capable of missing so many clues that should be obvious. And it's even more funny how they can just as suddenly and out of nowhere understand it days, months or years later.
That last story, though. I know it's a meme in the lesbian community about lesbians being so clueless to people flirting on them, but something is just so adorable about the "useless lesbian finally gets the girl" stories! lol I hope things go well for them!
From what I’ve seen I’ve concluded this is an average day in a grown man’s life: -gets flirted with, incredibly not used to getting flirted with- “I’m just trying to be nice why do you get progressively mad?” 😂 Edit: we’ll today’s the day I figured out -how to do this- simply because *i didn’t want the words to look like this* so I tried a different thing lmao
*Video Title:* My husband & son are cheating on me. *Me:* Wait, _WHAT!?_ *Actual Story:* OP's Husband attempts an affair by lying about his marital status with OP to get in another woman's pants while the eldest son assists in covering for him. *Me:* ... ... ... ... I don't know if that's better or worse.
If it was me in story 1 I would not get angry on the child. I would tell him that I am proud of him wanting to protect his father, but also that adults shouldnt aak children to keep secrets unless it is a surprise party. The kid didnt do anything wrong, he just listened to his dad, and wanted to keep the family together
2nd story: Great on OP for NOT hiring that brat, and let her suffer the consequences of it. With that said, OP is definitely a bigger person than me xd
Glad it worked out for them in the last story, but I'm so glad that wasnt me. I hate getting flirted with by strangers especially when I'm "stuck" with them for a bit (on the street I can just up and walk away, if I'm working at a counter or in an appointment and the customer or employee starts flirting I've got to wait through it)
Story 1: Not only did the father involve the kids but I think that the older son lied because he knows what's going on and may be scared that his parents would separate
Story 1: Oh, op, sweetie, no. He told Noel that you were separated. You don't go to try to talk to him! He said you were separated so your separated. Don't talk to him. Just have him served with divorce papers right out of the blue. He'll never see it comin
Story 1... I was like that older son, I hide my parent's affair for so long. My family was fallint apart and I didn't want it to. I think I wanted my family to be together and "happy". I regret it. Tell the other parent if you're a kid in this situation; it won't get happier and parents like that shouldn't be together.
Cheating on your S/O is bad, dragging your children into your affair is even worse…convincing your child to help you COVER UP YOUR AFFAIR is a level of disgusting that i cant even picture. Op i am SOOO sorry… good luck
12:55 You do not have it wrong. The more it went the more I was laughing because that nurse was hitting on OP hard. Op is so innocent and oblivious. I'm looking forward to unpausing in a second and finding out where this goes because OP is in for a revelation 😂 Edit: that was such an adorable update. This such a happy post. Good for them.
Im glad she talked to the other woman ive never understood why theyll fight whoever their significant other cheated on them with instead of directing their rage at the person who purposely chose to cheated on THEM

Then, they feel if they aren't holding the lie and taking up for that wrong parent they are a horrible child.. Then they feel HOLDING the lie makes them a horrible child because they know it's wrong. Then they feel if they accidentally mess up and their parents get divorced it's THEIR FAULT for not being GOOD ENOUGH to hold the lie... I just want 8 mins with this father. That's all, 8mins.. @@aayhanjurir8590 It's in the tone. Very hard to see when it's typed out, but irl it's much easier.
@@luke_at_my_art It's not that deep, it's just a playful "how are you gonna make it up to me", probably said while smiling as well.
@@cynister7384 You're probably right. I just take people way too literally sometimes, especially if I don't know them well. Getting mixed signals like that makes me want to either disengage or "fix" the issue.
We need more wholesome Bestof stories. They’re a needed reminder that humanity is at times better than what the rest of the Reddit stories leave us to believe.
yes please more stories like the third one
Yep probably
Oh my god, I hope the first OP gets her oldest son therapy ASAP. Being manipulated by your parent to lie to your other parent can screw up your head so bad. It breaks my heart way more than the cheating.
As a lesbian, I can confirm, most of us are absolutely clueless when we're being flirted with! 🤣
As another lesbian, I second that motion 😂 😂
100%, It will happen to me and I’ll pick up on it WAY after the time has passed
@@DismaeofJae it has happened to me. Many times 😂
i'm not lesbian ( bisexual asexual instead ) but if someone flirts with me they HAVE to bang it over my head like it's a metal pipe or i'll just think 'wow they're being nice! what a nice person who wants to be friends (:'
@@Kogobean well if we're getting technical, I'm an asexual lesbian who's married. My wife had to practically ambush me with an engagement ring to get it through my head! Now I just remind her that "you married this, you're stuck with me now!"
It's one thing to be betrayed by your spouse. It somehow feels brutally different to find that your children were in on it, too.
Yeah but the kids are well.... kids. 10/10 I feel they were manipulated into lying.
Before we all crucify the oldest son for covering for Dad I need to know why, is there a chance he was manipulating his kids in the keeping it secret but the younger one was too small to fully understand?
my ex also compared me to his sidechick, I was just confused until I found out.....men are weird
@@MsTemptation
The thing is you don't know if there was "no prompting from the dad"
I was an older sibling in a broken relationship and parents use their own kids ALL the time to either get back at each other and/or hide things. Sometimes the prompt is way before an actual discussion happens.
Also, they're starting to develop a moral, perhaps at at the age but:
1) this moral is influenced by the caretaker
2) kids at that age can be brided so easily without necessarily knowing they shouldn't. As in "why wouldn't I do that? Dad said he would buy me x toy"
3) 11 is so young, they're not even teens, or barely starting depending the age you believe it start
4) A kid that think he can saves their parent relationship will sometimes do anything as long as they don't fight
5) it's so easy to think that if they're the one to bring it up then they will be the one that did something wrong and will be blamed for it
The youngest did choose honesty over 'hurting feelings' but maybe the dad said something different to the oldest because "you're older and you'll understand better".
To give the father the slightest bit of decency, it was the son who came up with the lie, the dad just played along
Doesn't make it right, but is less horrific
@@dhi_holo Are we sure about that? 14 year olds can be crafty, but I'm finding "covering up your dad's extra-marital affair on the fly" to be kind of a stretch.
@@megantregler The kid is 11.
@@dhi_holo I don't see what decency that gives him
@@giggle_snort yeah, that's not better.
As a woman I always find it funny when men don't think we know what we own, "aren't they yours?". Women ALWAYS know what belongings are ours
💯 God bless the stupid man who thinks I don't know the brand of something I put on my face every day.
Sometimes my mom forgets which car is hers in parking lots :|
That's not what the sentence "Aren't they yours?" means lol. It means the husband didn't know they weren't the wife's and thought they were.
Nothing to do with the wife knowing what's hers.
Right? I know what I own, what color it is, etc.
My husband was always surprised and frustrated when our son was a baby because I had an encyclopedic knowledge of our child’s wardrobe. Even the clothes that didn’t fit yet.
I also always knew which ones were clean and which ones were in the dirty laundry.
(Now my kid is a teen and I’m slightly less knowledgeable about his wardrobe.)
So, if I had that kind of knowledge about my kid’s belongings, you better believe that I have similar knowledge about _my_ belongings.
Lol.
@Darth Axolotl he never thought they were hers, why would he make up the lie that he found them in the sons bag ?
That third story was relatable as hell for someone like me, who is also incapable of realizing when someone is flirting with them.
Story 2: Desperation will do that to you. It made her arrogant and unqualified for what she wanted. But, she did learn and I'm glad that she actually is a nice person
That made me so happy.
That behavior was really bizarre. That’s borderline psychopath. I wouldn’t trust that woman with anything. Nope
She wasn't entirely wrong for saying that everyone lies on their certified vitae, as I've read from well known redditor "Older-Sparky"
The last story made my day. I'm glad they went on a date 😂
My dad also used me brother and I to lie to our mom so he could carry on his affair. I still feel awful about what we put our mom through. Parents who use their kids to hide their affairs are a special kind of awful.
1st story: I bet the father told his son "if you will tell mom you are the reason for the divorce"
@@witchy90210probably right..
First story: maybe get a therapist for the son as well. I get the feeling that he’s covered for his dad more than once.
lol I love that the doctor aunt got the date with the nurse. some people just can't understand flirting.
You can't blame the kid in the first story to much, he's just doing what his dad told him to do
Story 1: Man lost his wife AND his side chick. The fact he brought his in on it is just an extra level of gross
That last story was so wholesome. Omg we need more stories like that
First Story: Obviously OP's husband is cheating on her and he either coached the 11 year old to lie on his behalf or he bribed the son into keeping quiet and lie to OP about it. Yeah, those choices of his caused him to lose both Noelle and his marriage with OP
Second Story: There is being confident and then there is what Annabelle did lmao. She really thought she was going to get hired on the spot with all the things she did and how she was acting? I know lying during interviews is common but she took it up to a different level. That was a good ending to this story; I'm glad Annabelle saw the error of her ways and apologized to OP and learned her lesson
Third Story, NAH: Why does OP need to mention what she does for a living?
I wouldn’t recognize flirting to save my life. Even 15 years later. Can’t blame op 😂
The last story got me laughing. That was so unexpectedly wholesome and cute
Nurse: You're so much prettier than your other colleagues, you should make it up to me properly~
OP: oh no was I rude?
I know it was for the title, but PHRASING RSLASH! PHRASING!
I was so confused 😂
I loved the last story and how clueless OP was. Thank goodness she opened her eyes and was able to go on a date with the nurse. 😂❤
Last story: thank god for reddit bc if I were in op's shoes, I also would've been completely clueless to the flirting. Just utterly oblivious 💀💀💀
Finally my Daily Dose of RSlash!! Lets Gooo
Yes sir!

3 pm is no study hour, r/ hour
I recently saw a Reddit post about a guy who literally had just realized someone was flirting with him 20y+ ago but he reacted like op in the last story and did not know why the person got mad at him and blocked him everywhere 😂😂😂
Maybe I saw it here? Who knows.
That stroy with the husband and son seems fake, but sometimes reality is crazier than fiction
And besides we occupy our time with a bunch of other made up stories, anyway
My ex wife met a guy three years into our marriage. Not only did the 2 of them take my kids to things while I was at work, but she even had the nerve to introduce him to me as best friend from high-school
@@balanc-joy9187 Every story has to be taken with a grain of salt, people love making stuff up.
It takes a lot of energy to lie and make up a story. Embellishment is easier but there is still that core truth in many stories
the 3rd story also had some FANTASTIC comments to go with, my favorite was one like "1 are you single? and 2 does she have a chance?" to which OP replied "Yes and yes" It's SOOOO wholesome and adorable
Noelle in Story 1 deserves 0/5 A-Hole score too. Husband gets dropped by both women and gets his karmic justice.
I gotta say, the second two stories have such sweet endings it made me smile from ear to ear :) I know the second one didn't start out that way, but it's wonderful to see people grow and change and learn to be the best versions of themselves. And story 3 was just plain old adorable 😊
Breakfast + Rslash = great daily starter!
At least she learned from that experience and became better for it
For story 3, in OP's defence- the signals also would've gone *SOARING* over my head
I love wholesome clueless sapphic stories!! I wish those two a lot of happiness together ^^
As much as I love AITA and Pro Revenge sometimes you just need some wholesomeness
Damn
The lack of sympathy for the 11 y/o kid is sad , he's 11 and being manipulated by a parent.
That last story was so sweet! I love wholesome stories like it and I'm glad reddit helped op realise what was happening
I like the last two, kind of makes up for how horrible the first one was. and as they say, you can be the most intelligent person in the world, but you can be incredibly dumb when it comes to matters of the heart. I hope OP in the last story has a good relationship with that school nurse
22 seconds. New personal record! 🎉🎉
Good day everyone
First story: one thing I love about this story that OP didn't go beat up Noelle like most people do when they heard that their bf/gf cheated on them, they end up beat up the other person and alot of time the person they cheated on didn't even know they together and OP told her the true and Noelle got mad at husband for lying and yea the fact OP older son lie about for dad, Idk if I could trust my son ever again if I was OP lying about the other parent cheating that mean the older son for sure going grow up being a cheating less OP put her foot down
We need more like Story 2. It's nice to have a happy ending. I'm glad that both of them had a chance to grow from a bad experience.
Story 3 really came just in time for pride month. I'm happy for OP and Sophie!
AAAA! That last story was so cute! Some people are just so unaware of flirting and it was very sweet and wholesome of reddit to help the clueless lesbian. I hope they had a good time together, and the only thing that would make this better is if another update came saying they were gonna get married
That last story with the doctor and nurse. I'm so glad it's not just men that are clueless lol
Story 3: GIRL. The nurse was absolutely flirting with you! I'm used to seeing guys who are oblivious to flirting, but I guess ladies can be, too!
Flirting: thought maybe that she might have been slighted because the girl wanted to be a doctor and not a nurse right in front of her.
Honestly, that was my first read of it too. 😅
I can be clueless but even I got that the nurse was flirting with her. Great stories today, Dabney!
From what I’ve seen I’ve concluded this is an average day in a grown man’s life: -gets flirted with, incredibly not used to getting flirted with- “I’m just trying to be nice why do you get progressively mad?” 😂
Edit: we’ll today’s the day I figured out -how to do this- simply because *i didn’t want the words to look like this* so I tried a different thing lmao
*Video Title:* My husband & son are cheating on me.

I don't know if that's better or worse.
as a bi girl, I can say that we are hopeless at knowing when someone's flirting. I sometimes don't know if I'm flirting lol
The boy may be lying because he doesn't want a broken family, not for nefarious reasons.
2nd story: Great on OP for NOT hiring that brat, and let her suffer the consequences of it.
With that said, OP is definitely a bigger person than me xd
That would've been funny too
Glad it worked out for them in the last story, but I'm so glad that wasnt me. I hate getting flirted with by strangers especially when I'm "stuck" with them for a bit (on the street I can just up and walk away, if I'm working at a counter or in an appointment and the customer or employee starts flirting I've got to wait through it)
Sometimes you're just in a headspace where you don't realize someone is flirting with you.
The last Story Prooves one thing:
No matter how smart are you, you can't escape a ✨Lesbian Culture of Being ablivious to Flirting✨
The third one had me 😂😂😂😂 she was 1000% FLIRTING 😅
The older son in that first story was probably arm-twisted to cover just like the younger son.
Okay the last story is absolutely hilarious and adorable 🥰
*Story 3 OP:* As someone who has MANY lesbian friends, I can confirm I’ve seen them become oblivious to the flirting 😂
I have had so many of "i think that person was flirting with me" moments.
The pain.
Op i am SOOO sorry…
good luck
12:55 You do not have it wrong. The more it went the more I was laughing because that nurse was hitting on OP hard. Op is so innocent and oblivious. I'm looking forward to unpausing in a second and finding out where this goes because OP is in for a revelation 😂
Edit: that was such an adorable update. This such a happy post. Good for them.
I'm guessing OP's son will feel terrible about covering for his dad when he's older and better understands the situation.
Job application story: honestly, I like the redemption story much better than the revenge story any day.
Im glad she talked to the other woman ive never understood why theyll fight whoever their significant other cheated on them with instead of directing their rage at the person who purposely chose to cheated on THEM
They might fight if the affair partner knew he was married. But I think that's not worth the energy either. I'd focus on the husband
What kind of loving PARENT puts their child in a position to lie to the other parent about an affair.. That child will feel so much confusion that if they say something to the horrible parent they feel they are wrong.. Then, they have to hold the MASSIVE lie from the other parent because they don't want to feel that parents pain by telling them..
Give me 2 mins to crush up 2 glasses in a mortar and pestle as fine as I can. Give me 4 mins to make the father down a 6 pack of Pabst blue Ribbon.. Give me 2mins to take those very fine glass almost sand like glass grounds, put them in a 16oz bottle of water and make him drink it... Wonder how it would feel to piss all that out since beer is a diuretic... 🤷🏾♀️
Story 1 F that dad my dad did that too he brought me and my brother to his mistress when we were too young to know what cheating was what he did is really disgusting
It would not surprise me that the son covered because he feared that (sadly rightfully) if OP found out that their family was going to split
That nurse was totally flirting with the op.
Story 3: bro I was YELLING at my phone listening to this like “she’s flirting with you!! OP CMON” I am so glad they went on a date
