Weekly tasks tend to reset on Tuesday. You can click the Doman donations to check how much more you can donate this week (which took me months to figure out) You flew right over a hunt mark while you were in Kolusia getting your treasure chest, and as someone currently levelling other classes I tried to hit my dismount key. Good video :)
2:50 Just click on it and it will show you detail info so you don't have to travel to the doman enclave. You can also click on some other in that window to show detailed information aswell.
Seriously, I discover your channel today with the video about the races, I subscribed to your channel right after, you have so much good vibe and energy you make my day just in the morning !
Retainers at a certain level are just really handy to grind very specific ingredients for crafting. Also to unlock the Doman enclave reconstruction you need to start a small questline over at Mor Dhona. I think the first one is Toll Booty. You do a few of those and eventually something pops up in the enclave.
Just found the channel, and am really liking what I found. You voice is very pleasing to the ears. What my daily routine is right now is checking my retainers, check my timers, the craft til the sun don't shine. Or til I run out of materials. An if im feeling extra spicy that day, ill go and run a roulette.
Congrats on the subs! It actually is useful to gear up your retainers if you're wanting minions from them since some minions only come from retainer ventures (you can sell them on the MB though, so you can also just wait until the prices go down on them on the MB to buy them outright). Fashion report is available to "present yourself for judging" on Friday and resets on Tuesdays at midnight (so basically you have the weekend plus Monday to do Fashion Report). Also good luck on Island Sanctuary! I just decided to actually start mine (after visiting it once on release and forgetting it). It's grindy but if I may offer some tips that I've learned so far; open up graineries and workshops as soon as you are able and have them doing stuff. Always set one of your workshop rest days to Tuesday (that's reset for the supply and demand items so you can check online and see what's best to have them working on all week with a google search or by checking on Overseas Casuals discord if you're into using discord), and don't spend cowries on anything but island improvements at first. Glams are cute, but it's really easy to get walled behind a cowrie blockade especially at the beginning if you're not spending them wisely. Otherwise have fun and enjoy your time with Floof and Crabby and the many more animals you're likely to add to your little farm!
Been playing since 2017, and I've only now realised that... I could be doing solo maps! I've only ever done the top tier maps with groups before for the portal dungeons, and then waited weeks like a dummy for another group when I could have been using my map allowance on solo maps in that time.
Ok. A few comments because I see stuff I struggled with myself. Retainers are a slow but steady source of income (when used passively). You do not plan to play for the next 17h? Send them on a exploration mission. Chances are that between the resselable components and the gold they bring back, it will be enough to pay for all the teleports of your next session. Now, even if you don't like gathering and crafting, I would recommend levelling one crafter and one gatherer. If I remember correctly, around level 15 you can start gathering material to make dyes. Standard dyes are very easy to make as you can completely ignore quality and they are always in demand. Levelling your gatherer a bit more allows you quickly to send a retainer to gather materials for it by 50. You need to follow the market a bit to see which dyes are in demand. But this is a very easy and not time consuming source of income. Easily 5 digits per week. Also, when you are playing, send them on 1 hour quests to gather materials. All possible jobs have access to something used to make food, craft gear. The higher job level, the better. But you can find demand for some low level items as well. As others already said, items in the calendar which have an icon on the right can be opened. It does matter much for Doma restoration, but it allows you to gain a lot of time for custom deliveries as you do not need to go to the NPCs to see what they need and who has the levelling bonus active. Don't bother checking everyday for the fashion report. It always runs on the weekend. I usually combo this with checking the Mega cacpot results. If you go check on it on Saturday to get the bonus MGP for the Mega cacpot, the fashion report is always accessible at the same time. Map prices, especially group maps, is correlated to the time of week you send them. The price starts ramping up on Friday night and goes down on Sunday night because FCs usually farm them in bulk over the weekend. It often makes more sense to accumulate them in your retainers / chocobo stash over the week and sell them on the weekend. The weather forecast is mainly usefull for the fishing job. Some fishes only appear under certain weather conditions. Island sanctuary has automation built in for all tasks except factories, but you need to level the island to get access to it. If you are levelling alt jobs. Have a look at daily hunts for the extension matching your character level. It usually offers a decent chunk of XP. It is also a nice way to pass the time while queuing for a dungeon or roulette as a DPS.
Congrats on the subs. For island sanctuary there are a few guides on how to level and thigns to look out for. For island you only need to check it daily for the first few ranks but after you can automate some of the things. Hope you enjoy your time in the sanctuary. As for things you could do, there are hunts and hunt trains, those can be useful to get some glams and a few hunt exclusives. At the very least try to do the ARR hunts, because you get allied seals which you can trade for free teleport tickets. They're a blessing when you need to go to far places often.
My retainers are only doing 1 hour missions and are now feeding themselves 100% because they give me gear-->seals-->ventures. So far they have made me enough money to buy two small houses, a medium, a FC house, and all the glams and mounts I have wanted off the MB so far, in the 19 months that I played. I have a few retainers with good gear and a few with whatever I had in my inventory and they pretty much give me the same stuff. They bring me glams and housing stuff I can sell for a good profit, and every now and again I hit the jackpot with 2x Jet Black dye (easy 1 mill gil) or 2x pure white dye (500k). So if you have time to play the retainer lottery every hour, thats a great way to make gil :)
Personally, I do Retainers, mini Cacpot, Island, Frontlines, and Omicron dailies. Frontlines gives you exp for whatever job you log in as, but you can change your job once you get in, and will still get the xp for the original job, not to mention the pvp rewards. Omicron dailies are easy ways to get gathering materia, which sells for a lot
When doing cacpots I always make a Y if possible For example (H) Hidden (R) Revealed RHR | RHH HRH | HRR HRH | RHH This way you *ALWAYS* know at least 1 number in each line, meaning you can try to aim for the 123 / 987 if you know the possibility of it being there exists For example for: 1H8 H9H H4H You could aim for the first Column for the 123 or the Diagonal for 987 I'd rather try my luck with 123 myself
i got only two retainers ( paladin and barde ) i gave them the crafted gear on both from first raid tier . they usually bring me gear ilvl 530-590 and I sometimes get random housing items that sell 50k - 100 k a piece
Regarding Gliderskin Maps, aside from Shell Leather, you can get Indigo Cloth and Fireglass Leather as drops too. Both of them have decent value too (though not as much as Shell Leather) and if you can craft the items they're used for, you can get better returns. Also, as a miner, you can find the maps in nodes just north of Fort Jobb in Lakeland (right next to the entrance to the Greatwood) if that might be a little closer for you.
Nice video, here's a tip about retainer ventures. Gear only influences when Hunting and Gathering types of Ventures. In short, the better the gear the more items they can bring back. Some items are also locked behind gear requirements. I've also noticed that stats don't matter, only item level (untested, just from my preliminary research). Case in point, I had 10 retainers with level 1 gear and they'd bring me Venture Coffers quite often. After I put some gear on them (and it cost me a pretty penny, since it was 10 retainers), I didn't notice much change. They sometimes bring HQ materials / items, so maybe it affects the chance for HQ items over NQ with better gear.
First of all, I've been really enjoying your content. I'm glad YT suggested you to me. Secondly, for retainers, I just send them on quick ventures. Honestly I'm not sure if iLvl or level has much to do with it. The best they'll come back with is pink/white/black dyes that can sell for up to maybe 100Kish for pink and 300-400 for black/white. Also, I'll sometimes get glam items in the 100-300K range. I also get lots of housing items, some of which has some value. I rotate them every hour when I'm online and free to do so. It kinda feeds into my OCD/dopamine thing so it's fun to see what they'll bring back. Any gear they bring back gets cycles into GC currency and I'll use that to buy both more Ventures as well as the Material Coffers. Sigh...so often the coffers are just the same minions I see over and over and over. But, once in a blue moon, it's a valuable minion or a mount. I have NEVER seen the one super rare bulb minion even after months of rotating my retainers. Supposedly it's on the loot table.
A great video, keep up the good work my dude! As for my daily routine, it depends honestly. If I'm working on some quests, I finish what I've started. If I'm leveling a class, I try to get it to level 60. One thing that's consistent is the Gold Saucer. Gotta get that sweet MGP! I also save the fashion challange and the jumbo cactpot for the weekends since the cactpot results are every Saturday for me, so I figured I'd group the Fashion Challange and the cactpot together. Of course, I also can't forget about the daily roulette. But which one I do depends on what I need. If I need GC seals, leveling. If I need tomestones, MSQ. (Unlike most people, I can sit through the cutscenes since it gives me some time to chill between fighting XD)
Interesting to see how people do things are an individual rather than a "here's what you should do" sorta thing. Some helpful things to add onto this one day for you or others are Hunts - This normally you'd need to go into a Discord server for your Data Center, but these are really good for tomes and hunt currency for some neat items! Easily one of the best ways to get Materia as well. Also just a really fun social experiance and wonderful having 100-200+ mounts flying towards a woodland creature to kill it together. You do need to go through a small questline which is effectively just a level check. There are two main ranks to care about, A Ranks, which spawn every few hours and are 2 per zone. This leads to "Hunt Trains" where a few times a day, a world goes through all the zones killing all 12 or so marks. And S Ranks which take a few days to respawn and have some... weird spawn conditions. But it gives you a LOT of currencies. PvP/Frontlines Daily - With the Series rewards too this is important to do for the XP for the glam, minions etc!! But Wolf Marks let you get some nice glams, and it gives you a LOT more EXP then one would think for leveling (Tip, if you are comfortable on one job in PvP but want to level another job, you can queue as the job you want to level, but swap jobs in the match and still get EXP on what you joind on! Tribe Quests - Normally need an unlock but its good for EXP especially in ShB/EW. But since it resets at 10AM EST/7AM PST its good to just get them unlocked so you can level them up. There are lots of little rewards that are neat, and once all beast tribes are done there is an extra quest for more rewards (unless its ShB for some reason,,,) So just chip away at them now rather than wanting to do them but getting time gated later. Those are like the big 3 things that are important to start, the earlier the better! Especially hunts those are such a fun thing to meet some people
If you're leveling extra jobs, its a good idea to send out your Adventurer Squadrons from your GC on Priority Missions. One of the rewards drops a ticket for big exp bonuses that is very useful! It also just gives bonuses to other things like MGP gain, Armor Durability, etc. It can be useful. :)
This is pretty much more or less my daily routine too, minus the fashion guy at Gold Saucer. Then I continue grinding for achievements until I get it. lol
Because I can’t be bothered to grind to level crafters/gatherers, I’ve been checking my Grand Company expert deliveries daily and turning in the ones that have bonus exp each day. It’s not particularly fast, but it’s almost guaranteed to be a level per delivery, plus it gets me to craft and log things I otherwise wouldn’t. You can check what they’re asking for from the timer menu under the “next mission allowance”
Retainer wise: I only have the 2 free retainers which imo is more then enough IF you use those retainers for money making. Basically what I have is have them to venture for specific materials through gathering, esp. the timed gathering (usually the ones that are in ShB or others, it depends). Let's say I want to make Calf Shoes, which requires Dusk Cloth and Duskbloom is only a limited time gather. Instead to buy that item off the market board which while cheap on the surface level, does get expensive over time. So that is def. a plus for me. On the contrast if you don't mind a safe and usually reliable way to get a passive income is to let the retainer gather items that are usually needed for more demanded crafts such as pots, gear and good items. While they usually are only worth selling at launch it still makes some income. While not alot it is somewhat reliable. and as others have mentioned already, if you pray for rng instead then just pray you get good items through venturing. But that imo is rather unreliable.
For retainers you can make combat or gathering retainers and put gear on them. For combat retainers you put on old gear and send them to hunt crafting material to either sell or craft with. Often I use them to get leather. For gathering the you use gathering gear and can get materials for crafting or selling. The higher their perceptuon the more material they get (up to 50). You must have equal or greater level than the retainer in the respective classes in order to level it up. You also must have gathered the material in order to have your gathering retainer gather it too. Good for gathering food materials or logs for furnature.
Some ventures have specific requirements, and there is a milestone where statistics increase output for a mission reward. For example, moving elemental shards from 30 to 60. Whilst level does give some mild increase to stats, the best bang for buck is equipment.
My daily routine is: retainers, MSQ roulette with job I want to level, beast tribe dailies, mini cactpot and additional roulettes if I need more materia crystal thingies when I have the time and motivation. But for me, the weekly routine is more important: *custom deliveries*, getting the coin from the newest alliance raid, doman restauration and some challenge log stuff like hitting the mini games at the Gold Saucer for free 2000 MGP.
I like to send my retainers to do Quick Exploration, they come back with mostly armor and weapons, which I turn in at my Grand Company for more seals to buy ventures or other things (sometimes Grand Company furnishings will go up in price, so I get those to sell, I buy glam crystals, cordials, grand company aetherite tickets, and the material containers which will -sometimes- rarely have mounts in them). They will also bring crafted glam items(seeing a lot of Replica Sky Pirate things lately, tbh), furnishings and house exteriors, not to mention the Venture Crates have either dyes (look for General-purpose Jet Black or Pure White dye for the big money) or Retainer Fantasia. Sometimes the gear they bring is helpful to upgrade items on jobs I am currently not focusing on (they are currently bringing Troian and Radiant gear, which is actually upgrading my main set since I don't do much raiding). Just a tip - I use the Doman Enclave to sell any Allagan coins I get since they pay more than double for it. The Skywatchers are useful for doing level 50 fishing and the ARR levels in the Sightseeing log (nothing past that should need weather), oh and for seeing if the Odin fate is up (only in Black Shroud zones, the weather will be Tension when Odin is up). A note about making money, once you have crafting jobs maxed, keep an eye out on what items make what, some things have components purchased from the Grand Companies, that then make something worth a lot of gil! Anyway, I don't have much to add to your daily suggestions, I too am bad about doing Roulettes.... Good luck out there!
I didn’t even know there was a timers tab you could pull up holy shit! This is great information to know :o Anyways, my daily routine is kinda bleh tbh. Nothing crazy or special. I log in and I go to my retainers first, always. If there is a class I’m leveling and if I’m behind on class quests for it, I play as that job and que for all of my dailies while doing the class quests. Usually I get done with the class quests once i do all of my class quest or only do a few of them because of me not being 10 levels ahead of the quests. Currently my top priority is getting all of my combat classes to 90, so this is gonna be my daily routine for awhile lmao. Oh! I am someone that does relics as well, and depending how quick roulettes are, I will continue gathering the materials i need for said relics. I’m pretty much planning on getting every anima weapon and currently on the last few steps for my bozja relic, just gotta do some farming in Zadnor oof. After that I usually afk, for a bit or if I don’t feel like doing relics, i will either spend time to level a crafters/gatherers, OR, I look through Party Finder and see what’s going on. If someone is running high end content and if i have the energy to commit to it and the energy to put up with strangers, I’ll join a pf. Sometimes this comes in a form of farming certain ex’s/svg, or doing the current patch unreal fight. That’s my routine on a day off tho. On days i work, that routine is basically cut in half. It goes; retainers, roulettes, running to Idyllshire for relic materials, contemplating my life purpose, and then logging off for work lol
You can also do the daily and weekly hunting board for centurio seals and sacks of nuts. And Wondrous Tails from Khloe at Idlyshire for huge exp, a map, and tomestones.
I've made *millions* from my retainers, from receiving venture coffer with pure white and black dyes which usually goes ~400-500k each, you can also get those rare equipment pieces for glamour (beach halter, etc etc) that sells anywhere from a few hundred thousand gil to over a mil. I never do long ventures always 1 hour. Then all the gear I get I turn it in to Grand company to level FC rank or even sell it on the market board if they are tradeable.
Every single day I go and water all the crops for my FC. And not just at my FC estate but at EVERYONE'S HOUSE as well. I spend so much gil going between all the districts to water those crops. I also do expert and mentor roulette and frontline MOST every day. Sometimes multiple times a day (for mentor roulette at least)
So I think I got a few QOL tips for you from what I saw in the video (not sure if you already know them and just didn't show, but hopefully I can help someone with this! ^^,). If you go to timers, you can actually click on the "view donation status" text and it will open up another window which will show you your remaining weekly budget and exactly when it will reset. Another BIG thing is when you were farming maps, you checked the node if it had a map or not and then went on to the next one, but you actually have an ability called "Luck of the Pioneer (as botanist) or Luck of the Mountaineer (as miner)" If you use that, it will show you the hidden items on the node aka the map. Only thing that is RNG is if it's a solo or party map! ^^, It will make farming it significantly faster!
When you want to try and start doing some full party treasure maps with possible portals, you can "Stock up" on maps by keeping one in your Chocobo Saddlebag, one in your key items by deciphering it, one in your inventory ... and if you get more, toss one each on retainers.
Really love your daily routines...but you should definitely, oh idk, do some of the side quests that are plaguing your map every time you open it in front of an audience XD
You can click the doman enclave one to see when it resets. As for fashion report it also states in the timer menu but for good measure it's every weekend starting fridays and ending mondays I believe ^^ (Also small tip, be careful showing your add-ons in videos - Material UI included)
I use a spinny wheel to select role to focus on for roulette and beast tribes of their level then do best tribes for another job for the xp. Depending on the day I'll do my retainers and crafting leves/gathering for said leves
I primarily use my retainers to farm for high cost pets. Most are tied to disciple of the land classes though. I'd google what level expedition you need to send them on and then just continuously send them on that venture. Also there is a quest to unlock the Doman Enclave. Once it's unlocked you can trade them gear and items. If you've done it before and it won't let you donate anymore then look around that area or a quest you need to pick up. I think its either to the very north or south and has a different quest icon similar to the chocobo porter icons.
Quick Ventures can bring back a myriad of things so sometimes you get lucky and score something worth 500k-1mil but they mostly bring back dungeon armor you turn in for even more ventures or crafting mats that are bought only with GC seals (these sell good). Quick ventures do not require any armor/stats and give a lot of exp so are ideal for leveling. You could go 1-90 with a level 1 main hand doing only quick ventures and only bother with their gear at 90. If you are into crafting it's very worthwhile to keep MIN/BTN retainers around so they can gather stuff in bulk and save you a ton of time from doing it yourself. For retainers, Gathering only "unlocks" higher level items but once you have enough to gather that item stacking more gathering does NOTHING. Perception increases the number of items your retainers bring back and this is mentioned pretty much nowhere in game. You want 3420 Perception on your MIN/BTN and i "think" around 3900 for FSH (i dont use FSH) to get the most per venture which at the moment is 30 items for level 90 mats. 3420 is easily achieved with purple scrip gear and a few Perception melds (+20 materias are cheap)
You occasionally get venture coffers from quick ventures with retainers. The items aren't always good, but sometimes you can get pure white or jet black dyes which are worth over 100k each
I occasionally get pricey general purpose dyes from venture coffers, but the real money-makers from ventures for me have been the occasional expensive glam item they've brought me. I've also gotten a lot of crafted items that sell slowly but usually for 1000's or 10,000's.
Donation is 40k (once you unlock it all) cap. 2 Platinum peices that normally sell for 20k sell for 40k. You can throw 2 in once a week. Resets on Tuesday.
I would say if you just really really /really/ dont want to do a roullette or play a certain job you've unlocked just run around and do side quests! I've personally cleared all of Shroud, Thanalan, La Noscea and Coerthas Central and its made the map so much cleaner for me ;w;
I actually log in only once a week and do all these things plus the weekly rotating things like turn ins and raid drops for gear upgrades. I’m omni90 and done with all side quests though so there’s really not much for me to do anymore. D: I do try to say hi to at least one person every time just to make friends. Especially with leafs.
My everyday map has been Gaganaskin (level 70 equivalent of the gliderskin) because I'm trying to get an orchestrion that can drop from it. And sometimes other drops sell decently. I always queue Frontline roulette to work towards my PVP series rewards and achievements (unless it's Secure day because screw that one).
Most useful things my retainers bring back are venture coffers, which commonly (for me) drop 2 jet black dyes, that on my server reliably sell for 4-500k each
This might help you a lot, but I have two macros. One is called DAILY and one is called WEEKLY. And they do /echo for reminders of things to do each day, and weekly respectfully. Daily: gather map, beast tribe, retainers, roulettes ($$$), Supply Mission Crafts ($$$), levequests ($$$), Frontlines EXP for alt job. Weekly: Savage, Alliance, Wonderous Tails, Faux Hollows, Custom Deliveries, Cactpot, Fashion Report gear ($$$), Cap Tomestones. If I ever want a reminder, I just press the macro and go: "oh yeah! I can do xyz for the week or for today" something like that.
Well it's never happened for me but my brother said he's gotten furniture or minions from retainers not sure what exactly he got as he hasn't been on in forever lol. Also congrats on the subs! ^^
So for the types of players I'd split the afkers into 2 types. Actually afk and active afk. As someone who actively afks when bored. It's mostly just to see how players react to you
The 18h retainer ventures most good to get some rarer and sometimes expensive minions, each role (combat, miner, botanist, fisher) have their own set of minions you can get. Best I've gotten in EW was a fairly early Chewy I sold for 7mil gil.
While its definitely RNG heavy as to what you're retainers bring back, there a few of the explorations routes that have minions in their loot pool and as well as some materials to craft glams that can't be obtained anywhere else, which mean they usually fetch a decent amount of gil on the market board. The Doman enclave is weekly reset for donation, if you can't donate anymore, you either have a quest to complete to advance the reconstruction or you've donated the quota for the week Things you could add to your to do list: the weekly Wondrous Tails journal in Idyllshire, can be a great source of MGP if you're lucky Custom Deliveries: reset every week, usually pretty quick to do, will give you tons of exp and scripts for your crafter/gatherer jobs Tomestone of Causality: there's a weekly cap on these, you can easily get your weekly quota by doing daily roulettes
preceptive of player that finished main EW msq in NOV.- everyday when I login I begin with a frontline roulette on a job I'm currently leveling, you get great exp. and pvp series level points. Then move on to alliance raids, MSQ, and expert; all of these have the highest 90 tomestones and with as many 90 jobs that I have that need gear it is a must. Then I may have to help ppl in my FC with things like dun., trials, raids, fates, flying, maps and etc. After those I might start working weekly things if they are not done like; book, p8 raid(blade), EW alliance raid(coins), or PF savage
While you are online, the short ventures (1h - Quick Exploration) are way more profitable than the long ones. They long ones are okay for when you are done for the day, but I hardly bother as the short ventures are so much better. Best to do it in the city of your grand company as you run through venture coins like no ones buisness. But the gear you can't sell you can hand in at your grand company and it is way, way more than enough to pay for more venture coins.
Quick ventures are the best. Yes they cost 2 but the rewards pull from the 90 lvl loot table. I've gotten expensive glam items and 90 gear. Anything I don't need I save to put into the doman box
My retainers sometimes give me pure black and white dyes from venture coffers that i can sell on the market board for pretty much half a mil without fail
Congrats on the subs, dude! You deserve 'em ^v^ Also, I have no idea what most of these things are cause I've just downloaded the game but it was pretty fun watching you do the stuff! Floof is an absolute cutie and what kind of eldritch creature is crabby?! (Yes, you are the best farmer that has ever farmed before lol)
Enjoy the game and tyt DW about hitting endgame and seeing what other people do ❤️❤️ just enjoy ur journey it not good to rush things u will reach to what everyone else is in, this game is huge just take it one at a time and if u felt like u r burn out just take a break and then come back later the content won't go anywhere
@@john_7000 Thank you so much for your encouraging words!!! And don't worry, I'll definitely take it easy and enjoy the lore. I'm so pumped on learning how to craft and gather things!! The game seems so fun and awesome.
I have gotten a several expensive materials, glam pieces, and furniture items from retainer quick expeditions. Also I just bought my retainers allagan tomestone gear XD
I have my retainer’s jobs set to fishers since there is a small chance they can bring back the fat cat minion from one of their explorations. goes for around 300k on my server
ปีที่แล้ว
One of my retainers gave me the little toy car minion when it sold for 500k on my server. So they can give you nice things. For gear i normally give em my hand-me-downs

Also a tip with maps - you can store them in your mailbox by having a friend send them back to you.
You should probably be spending some time doing your level 90 dungeons and anything that is available to do for Tomes. Joining an FC will greatly help you with a lot of your learning, what data center are you on?
the best is when you get to shadowbringers for the first time and talk to the skywalker my mans has THE most useless job on the planet at that point. "it's BRIGHT dogg"
Let see. I consider the fashion report a weekly thing. Such as the weekly crafterm or gathering turn in like ameliance. Speaking of weekly wondrous tales is one I always do. Haven't gotten a 3 bingo yet.
So I can save you money on retainer gear with this tip. Spending money on your retainers is not efficient as it is not necessary. Every time you get new gear for your own character, give your retainer the gear you're not using. Basically recycling. Also retainer gear using tomes/scripts is the way to go. They get what they need and you lose nothing.
I have gotten alot of nice things from my retainers, BUT in saying that I do pay for 7 extra retainers, and I pay for the Mobil app that also gives another retainer, So I have 10 retainers, and I have the sub that lets you have 8 characters per world, I currently have 3 characters 2 of them have fully leveled retainers, and 1 I am working on leveling. So I have 30 retainers I am sending out daily atm. It helps that I own my FC so i can use my FC bank to transfer items between my characters. It was alot of work to set up though, I had to level the characters since the retainers only go to the level of the character, and then ofc i had to gear them all lol
If you have an FC house, submarines are amazing. Average 100k gil per voyage once you get set up properly (~lvl 50 subs). Lookup Tilini Fashonti's Beginner Guide to FFXIV submarines.
The 18h long ventures can bring back expensive minions.
The 1 hour quick ventures can bring back general purpose dyes which are not cheap.
I get so excited when I get a venture crate!
+1 I just got some of the general purpose white dye from my retainer, that was a nice pay day.
I always get metallic green dye in my venture crates. My retainers are openly mocking me.
the joy of the rare drop of general-purpose jet black
I your guy/gal is lvl 90 they sometimes get radiant gear or lvl 90 dungeon gear. Great for glam hunting or spamming gc seals.
I love that so many ff14 youtubers agree that /wringhands is the emote to use when shilling your channel. Cause Hancock.
Weekly tasks tend to reset on Tuesday.
You can click the Doman donations to check how much more you can donate this week (which took me months to figure out)
You flew right over a hunt mark while you were in Kolusia getting your treasure chest, and as someone currently levelling other classes I tried to hit my dismount key.
Thank you!!! :D
Sometimes the retainers bring back a fat cat for two or three days in a row. Sometimes they bring back a SINGLE. ICE. CRYSTAL.
If I remember correctly that's like a unique item like an Ironworks gear but if they already have it it rerolls its something like that.
When doing cacpots I always make a Y if possible
For example (H) Hidden (R) Revealed
RHR | RHH
HRH | HRR
HRH | RHH
This way you *ALWAYS* know at least 1 number in each line, meaning you can try to aim for the 123 / 987 if you know the possibility of it being there exists
For example for:
1H8
H9H
H4H
You could aim for the first Column for the 123 or the Diagonal for 987
I'd rather try my luck with 123 myself
You sound like you put away all worries in life. Probably why people subs. Love it
i got only two retainers ( paladin and barde ) i gave them the crafted gear on both from first raid tier . they usually bring me gear ilvl 530-590 and I sometimes get random housing items that sell 50k - 100 k a piece
Some helpful things to add onto this one day for you or others are
Hunts - This normally you'd need to go into a Discord server for your Data Center, but these are really good for tomes and hunt currency for some neat items!
Retainer wise:
I only have the 2 free retainers which imo is more then enough IF you use those retainers for money making.
Typically my retainers will give me greens to desys. Good enough for me.
Some ventures have specific requirements, and there is a milestone where statistics increase output for a mission reward. For example, moving elemental shards from 30 to 60. Whilst level does give some mild increase to stats, the best bang for buck is equipment.
I'm impressed I learned a thing or two on that one, thanks
This is great information to know :o
Anyways, my daily routine is kinda bleh tbh.
Has 4 retainers....I only have 3!
i found you with races video, your videos are really well made so i subbed
Thank you!
Oooh!! Thank you!!
Was coming here to say this! :)
You can click on the 'view donation status' in the timers menu and it brings up the actual status.
Thanks!!
You can click the doman enclave one to see when it resets. As for fashion report it also states in the timer menu but for good measure it's every weekend starting fridays and ending mondays I believe ^^
(Also small tip, be careful showing your add-ons in videos - Material UI included)
There is a thing somewhere in you selection menu that you can check timers, specially the doman enclave one
Love your channel and your character. Thanks for the help!
Congrats on almost reaching 6k from 1.5k in just 2 weeks. Looks like you're doing something right, haha
The algorithm is being very kind to you.
Ventures on a good day can give Dyes and the occasional glam pieces.
I just use poetics to gear my retainers.
Donation is 40k (once you unlock it all) cap. 2 Platinum peices that normally sell for 20k sell for 40k. You can throw 2 in once a week. Resets on Tuesday.
I would say if you just really really /really/ dont want to do a roullette or play a certain job you've unlocked just run around and do side quests! I've personally cleared all of Shroud, Thanalan, La Noscea and Coerthas Central and its made the map so much cleaner for me ;w;
Most useful things my retainers bring back are venture coffers, which commonly (for me) drop 2 jet black dyes, that on my server reliably sell for 4-500k each
Omg I want female hrothgars to come out already, I need this characters amount of floof. Thanks for the vid!
That sounds nice! :O
Thx!
Well it's never happened for me but my brother said he's gotten furniture or minions from retainers not sure what exactly he got as he hasn't been on in forever lol. Also congrats on the subs! ^^
I always do the Doman Enclave every Tuesday. Same with deliveries. Almost have all my crafters to 90
Another one coming to your channel, youtube just recommended you on my front page, always nice to meet another fellow hrothgar
btw whats that glamour?
So for the types of players I'd split the afkers into 2 types. Actually afk and active afk. As someone who actively afks when bored. It's mostly just to see how players react to you
The 18h retainer ventures most good to get some rarer and sometimes expensive minions, each role (combat, miner, botanist, fisher) have their own set of minions you can get. Best I've gotten in EW was a fairly early Chewy I sold for 7mil gil.
My retainer got me a shell leather before but it’s only been 1 time lol
While its definitely RNG heavy as to what you're retainers bring back, there a few of the explorations routes that have minions in their loot pool and as well as some materials to craft glams that can't be obtained anywhere else, which mean they usually fetch a decent amount of gil on the market board.
The Doman enclave is weekly reset for donation, if you can't donate anymore, you either have a quest to complete to advance the reconstruction or you've donated the quota for the week
Things you could add to your to do list:
the weekly Wondrous Tails journal in Idyllshire, can be a great source of MGP if you're lucky
Custom Deliveries: reset every week, usually pretty quick to do, will give you tons of exp and scripts for your crafter/gatherer jobs
Tomestone of Causality: there's a weekly cap on these, you can easily get your weekly quota by doing daily roulettes
preceptive of player that finished main EW msq in NOV.- everyday when I login I begin with a frontline roulette on a job I'm currently leveling, you get great exp. and pvp series level points. Then move on to alliance raids, MSQ, and expert; all of these have the highest 90 tomestones and with as many 90 jobs that I have that need gear it is a must. Then I may have to help ppl in my FC with things like dun., trials, raids, fates, flying, maps and etc. After those I might start working weekly things if they are not done like; book, p8 raid(blade), EW alliance raid(coins), or PF savage
oh gawd i just want to hug you
We almost had the same exact design except my hrothgar has no beard.
I'm on the free trial but I do my all my roulettes every day I also try and do the beast tribe quest every day but i forget a lot about them lol
Quick ventures are the best. Yes they cost 2 but the rewards pull from the 90 lvl loot table. I've gotten expensive glam items and 90 gear. Anything I don't need I save to put into the doman box
Well I see a Hrothgar and I sub. Big nice furry lion is nice to watch.
My retainers sometimes give me pure black and white dyes from venture coffers that i can sell on the market board for pretty much half a mil without fail
Congrats on the subs, dude! You deserve 'em ^v^
Also, I have no idea what most of these things are cause I've just downloaded the game but it was pretty fun watching you do the stuff!
Because of life, I can only do Alliance and MSQ roulettes. Beast tribes too while waiting in queue for those roulettes.
Log in check retainers. Join a pf for whatever extreme looks like fun gather legendary nodes/fates/craft while i wait
One of my retainers gave me the little toy car minion when it sold for 500k on my server. So they can give you nice things. For gear i normally give em my hand-me-downs
Also a tip with maps - you can store them in your mailbox by having a friend send them back to you.
…I never knew 789 was a combo for mini cactpot. I only ever tried to get 123. Now I wonder how many I’ve missed 😭
I've gotten some glam or housing items from my retainers. Everything else I sell in the market board for some quick gil
Depends on your Endgame goals. If you’re an achievement Hunter, it’s going to be a looong efficient to-do list.
You should probably be spending some time doing your level 90 dungeons and anything that is available to do for Tomes. Joining an FC will greatly help you with a lot of your learning, what data center are you on?
How did you made your HUD have this ''square'' look?
Hey, how did you change your UI? With the squared edges and everything? Is that a plugin, if it's included in dalamund i'd love to use it..
Solo unsyched trials/raids under lvl 70 for rare drops
as a crafter it's pretty easy money(in theory)
as a hrothgar it was reassuring that you too claim the campfire LOL
I think this is almost my exact routine 😂
the best is when you get to shadowbringers for the first time and talk to the skywalker
my mans has THE most useless job on the planet at that point. "it's BRIGHT dogg"
Damn your sound quality is 11/10.
Fashion report is on fridays!!
I got a rebel jacket from the quick ventures if that means anything.
Everyday. Grand company supply and provisioning missions. Everyday. Until theres no achievements left for all 3 Grand companies...
Ooh what is that UI skin? That looks so clean
If you have an FC house, submarines are amazing. Average 100k gil per voyage once you get set up properly (~lvl 50 subs). Lookup Tilini Fashonti's Beginner Guide to FFXIV submarines.
