- The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 6 is finally out, so all 96 tracks are in the game! Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is one of the absolute best games on the Nintendo Switch, but is it the best Mario kart game? Here's our REVIEW of the completed game now that the booster pass has concluded!

The Booster Course Pass is probably one of the best DLC ever created. Fan favorites returned, I loved the amount of Wii courses, and we got Rainbow Road Wii!

Too many Wii tracks. NDS and N64 deserved more love.
My top 10 favorite moments in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe:
10th Bagging got nerfed
9th Wii Rainbow Road's Meteor effect returns
8th Shroom Ridge's remixed soundtrack
7th DK Mountain got confirmed as the final GCN track for the BCP
6th Kalimari Desert's train tunnel is finally accessible to race
5th Madrid Drive's remixed soundtrack
4th Characters getting added since Wave 4
3rd The BCP staff credits
2nd Custom Items
1st 3DS Rainbow Road aka the best track ever, returns in the BCP upgraded beautifully.
In no particular order:
Seeing bowser castle 3, seeing wii rainbow road, seeing dk mountain, seeing funky Kong, successfully using the mushroom gorge shortcut, watching the credits, listening to the track songs in the jukebox, seeing the new mii costumes, seeing four characters instead of two, and playing wave 6.

The only way I would play the battle arenas if is if they include them in the DLC.
I know it sounds greedy.. BUT just imagine they surprise us with a final cup at one point to make the track list a nice 100:) just throw in 4 banger fan fav tracks still missing

it’s still confuses til this day why they added 4 circuit tracks (most of which being mid) but no airship fortress
And if it wasnt for the city tracks having to take up all Space, we could've had it, Toads factory, wario colosseum, wario stadium, GCM bowsers castle, the wuhu tracks, rainbow Road from Double dash, shy Guy bazaar and more
@@Wailmurfirst off, some of the tracks you just listed weren't in tour, so they wouldn't have had a chance anyway. Second, this sounds like mad copium. You should be glad we have this at all. Plus, I rather enjoy the city tracks

I feel like it's soft reboot time. 36 or 48 high quality tracks with better options changes (like STOCK BATTLE I can't believe this hasn't been a thing for so long - basically all the stuff from Arlo's original review needs to be added).

I have little experience with this, I just paid for the advanced Nintendo online version and iirc I saw that Mario Kart was downloading something.. I guess that's the expansion package with right?
For me, it was the addition of 200cc back in the Wii U version that changed everything, it's so much fun! If MK8 didn't have 200cc, I don't even think I would've bought the deluxe version to begin with, no matter how many tracks are in it. The CTR player in me craves speed lol.
We'll see that when Mario Kart X will come out

To be honest my favorite feature that they put in the wave are the half-pipes and that’s it
I got bored within an hour of playing the dlc and I don’t like that, the lack of characters was also a bad letdown, especially with Mario kart tour’s character variants could of been ported right in and some battle tracks could’ve been added in along with it. But hey, this is from my experience.

The lack of new kart parts after years of nothing really hurt too. Its extremely boring being stuck with the same selection for so long.
I doubt it ever will be topped, but I’m fine with that. I will be perfectly fine if the next Mario kart is just that, the next Mario kart

Mario Kart Wii veteran here, playing it for the first time in 8 Deluxe made me feel like a 10 year old girl again. The nostalgia is so real.

Merry Mountain, Ninja Hideaway, Piranha Plant Cove aren't nitro tracks they are from tour I don't know why they don't say there from tour but that are
There are only three nitro tracks, Yoshi's Island, Skyhigh Sundae and Squeaky Clean Sprint
@@EternaltusEven those are made primarily for Tour and they ported them to 8 deluxe first as means to outsmart casuals who don’t know that all tracks are from Tour.

In order to top this, they need to bring back every track and character from all the previous core games in the next game.
The biggest accomplishment was bringing back DK Mountain when people still believed we were getting Dino Dino Jungle because Dk MoUnTaIn Is “”””ReDuNdAnT”””” bEcAuSe We AlReAdY gOt Dk SuMmIt.
Biggest pain though definitely was not getting Airship Fortress not even gonna lie. Even worse than us not getting Piranha Plant Pipeline to get all the Tour tracks.
I have waited since Wave 1 of me seeing the number one course of all time, I was holding in all of my excitement and my screams..and then finally, my Rainbow Road is in Wave 6. The Wii Rainbow Road deniers had to be the funniest shit I've ever debated on. Like lmao it was obvious since the prefetch datamine.
Say what you want about the cities, but i enjoy most of them personally, especially as a guy who also plays Forza Horizon. Seeing all the famous landmarks and the route changing each lap are 2 things almost no other track offers. Will they ever be as good as mariokarts greats? Most of them wont. But i will enjoy them regardless.
And stilll no Toad's factory :(

I don't know man mario galaxy 2 tears of the kingdom splatoon 2 and 3 kirby planet robobot smash ultimate mario maker 2 xenoblade 2 and 3 and their dlc the thousand-year door luigi mansion 3 metroid dread black and white 2 mario 3d world Warioware move it and more
Imo it’s topped by wii but it’s still a very close second just due to the sheer amount of content alone.

They are all from tour. Just because they weren't in tour first doesn't mean they weren't taken from tour

Mario kart double dash is better with unlockable characters and karts and fun gameplay and then F-zero GX is also far better with it's tight controls in terms of sales no Mario kart 8 deluxe won't ever be topped but gameplay tracks and over all replay value it already has been topped in the past with better games from the GameCube and Wii era.

What happens after you unlock everything though? Plus, while double dash and wii are solid, I have so much more fun with 8s mechanics and tracks, even before the BCP

Yes, quality wise, they could easily top 48 linear tracks made for a mobile game. I love Booster Course pass but all you need in MK10 is 48 courses on par with the original MK8 tracks and remakes along with DLC you're fine.
Bruh this is just wrong. Its only true for wave 1 and 2. The rest is pure golden graphics and super fun tracks. You cant say they are linear or made for a mobile game either because of all the shortcuts and changes between tour mk8dx. For example : In DK Mountain the graphics are insanely good, they removed the fences on the bridge from tour, they added the gap jump, there is a new secret area and a new shortcut.
This only one track of 25 that are AWESOME
@@JellalTellmeThey're were still made for Tour, they look good but not as good as the base game and they're linear and don't take advantage of anti gravity which is why most of them not as wild and crazy.
Therefore QUALITY wise, you can top this game with MK10, just add new modes, a good starting roster, 48 original tracks with clean graphics and you're golden. You don't need 100 tracks the top this game.

@@WritingCountingOriginal Oh no, Im one of the guys who love Tour tracks and wants them to come back When I see linear I meant most of them are held back design wise amd graphically. The basegame has tracks like Wild Woods and Mute City that look crisp and are able to take advantage of Anti gravity whereas most Booster Course pass tracks just can't because they have to limit the potential cause it was all designed for phones originally that's why I think quality wise it's not hard to top MK8DX

This game can easily be topped. In my opinion, the DLC (most tracks) ruined how beautiful and amazing the track design was in the base MK8. I would rather have fewer more detailed tracks, than what we got in the end.
You only wanted less tour tracks in wave 4 because you hate tour. How about use whatever critical thinking skills you have? And stop generalizing
