Maquoketa Iowa is a place I’m a bit familiar with since I was born and grew up in Carroll County Illinois which is just across the river from Jackson County Iowa . I do have a lot of trouble with spelling it though. 😢

Supreme Court of Iowa is not in the Capitol building. It's in a smaller building on the south side of the capital complex.

I teach in a community college in another state and every day I always have a travel video playing as students saunter in. I love Iowa and go there every summer, so I thought I would do Iowa today. I muttered to myself "She doesn't know how to pronounce Des Moines," but as soon as she said Street Joseph, I realized it was AI and just turned it off.
DeMoines with an audible "S" on the end? That is not how you pronounce it. It becomes hard to believe you know anything about Iowa, when you make a mistake like that.
