- Welcome to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Roulette! In this series @MBTYuGiOh and I each spin a wheel featuring every Secret Pack in Master Duel. We then build decks using 20 of only those Secret Packs before playing a Match to determine that episode’s winner. The winner of each episode gets to decide if they want the first or second Secret Pack from the wheel during the next episode, but they must choose before seeing what the second spin lands on! Just an FYI for the Digital Bugs
Their solo mode gives you a Structure Deck with almost all of their cards (aside from Registrider). Because of this, their cards are in the Legacy Pack rather than any Secret Pack or even the Master Pack
I’d wish the part where they look at each other decks was kept in. The episodes end so abruptly otherwise.

Can’t blame Doug on this one. Draws were bad and Painters in sealed is insane once it establishes its board.
I cannot wait for Forecast and Moonbow to be in the game…even though Prosp at 1 really hurts.
Also the sun was in his eyes, his controller was low on battery, the laser in his mouse was blocked by a sticky note, his brother was messing with the keyboard, his pets were in front of the screen...

@@Gingercornbread It's the whole reason I even got back into yugioh. I can't remember how I found out about them, but once I did I knew I wanted them. I dropped 100 bucks on cards just to be able to have them lol. I haven't even gotten to play the deck yet.

The schadenfreude from Doug losing is always nice but watching MBT set up 5 paintings and loop his field during Doug's EP when all he did was set with his crap hand was pure despair. A fate worse than death by 900 BA/Musketeer URs.
[4:59] Might as well clear this up because it was talked about: The Digital Bug cards, with two exceptions, are NOT in any secret pack, nor are they even in the MASTER Pack. The only way to get them is either through Legacy Packs, Crafting, or the Solo Mode Structure Deck. The only ones that can appear in the Master/Inzektor packs are Bug Signal and Registrider.
Speaking of the Structure Deck, that Deck conveniently happens to give you 3 of _every_ Digital Bug monster EXCEPT Registrider, who happens to _also_ be one of the key pieces to make the deck consistent. By the way, Registrider is also a UR. Yeah, Konami seriously decided to give you an incomplete structure deck and lock a key card as a UR you have to either pull or craft...
As a Weather Painter and Solfa player I must say that both have potential in sealed due to their resource loop.
WPs get beautiful boards (38:23) if you survive the first turn since it searches a lot, and Solfa's Elegance and Harmonia give you a lot of value.
Good job MBT, the WP community would not cancel you today (Solfa's community might, tho).

I recently made a Solfa deck and have been enjoying it in MD so far. Most roads can lead to Electrumite + I:P with scales and a few in ED, but Ash can sometimes just ruin your day if you opened a few too many low scales (which are all level 5 or higher).
What cruel man MBT is... giving Doug hope for victory, only to blow it all away with weather cards... :-P

I think a cool rule would be if you pull out of the pack you can dismantle only those to make only cards in the pack!

Have not watched the episode yet. I'll say there's absolutely no reason why Dzeef should lose this one. MBT's pack isn't great and his pulls don't seem fantastic. Meanwhile, the Battlewasp cards are absurd in limited, the pulls have been great, and the synergy between the packs is incredible - the Asuza -> Exa-Stag loop in particular is absurd.
So in short I'm looking forward to the 11 loss streak.

@@walkerscoral Pretty sure that did not compare inside of the pack URs vs. outside of the pack which is more important than general quantity.

Weather Painters are my favorite archetype. They're the whole reason I'm even doing anything in modern yugioh with all these combos, omni negates, and link BS.
We had the potential to see Inzektor combos and instead we saw nothing but Firefly and Earwigs. Feels bad man

I remember dueling someone on MD playing solfachord and thought nothing of it but then they started making Borrel savage, scythe locking me, and ahh yeah wasn't a good time.
That's just the usual Pendulum shit. Solfa are just more limited than the other pendulums archetypes so there's no reason to go for them.
Borreload is Pendulum's boss monster so no surprises there

Umm am I missing something? Where do people get the idea that Gage lost to Cimo 14 episodes in a row? The longest losing streak Gage had was 10 games which Dzeef just surpassed 😅

Doug talked about MBT pulling better relevant holos, even if the total amount of holos is equivalent, and in this one we see MBT on 11 maindeck SRs and 5 extra deck URs, while Doug has 2 maindeck SRs & 1 UR, then an extra with 1 UR & 3 SR.
And these were "good pulls" from his standards.
Mbt pulled broken in like 1 episode and then Doug just assumed ever after that MBT always pull broken while in fact Doug is the one with better pulls most of the time
They didnt show the last 2 packs from mbt which had the weather ur and i think another sr in it.
The weather archetype is just like Weather report, as it's able to make a rain of MbtW due to the Rain of W in the Yu-gi-oh! Progression series season one during 5ds in favor of Alex Cimoooooooo (yes, with 8 "o"s)

Other then that, this episode is fantastic.
Maybe the amount of x10 pulls could vary from pack to pack to make some of the worse packs more enticing. For example you get 20 packs for a descent single archetype pack but you get 30 packs for a double weak archetype pack.
Got baited by the Nekroz thumbnail, but got to see Weathery that are also cool.
Which secret pack contains Breaker the Magical Warrior? Grasping at straws for a Doug victory here.

Weird that MBT got so many Cupid cards. After I went into about 4 or 5 sets of those packs, i didn't get a single Cupid (though i did get the Solfachords I wanted).

Yesterday I had a winning run with my Luna Kaiju deck that took me to Plat II, today I've lost to Despia and I'm back to Plat III; but seeing Dzeeff lose again makes me feel a bit better.
Doug: Complains about opening royals on side accounts.
Also Doug: creates a new side account instead of just switching to his main.
Fun Fact: Thunder Painter can pop pendulum scales to get you a canvas from deck
That doesnt work since painter only works on continuous spells/traps, and even if it didnt the cost cant be fulfilled since pendulum scales cant go to the gy

MBT when losing gets real quiet and complains about everything... yet still wins game 2 and 3 like usual. honestly this series would be better if they just railed on each other when the other complains about anything lol... Meanwhile Doug gives MBT shit game 1 about the "good half" being weathers, then says theyre cracked in game 3 lololol... I love this series!!

To be fair older arch type don't usually get constantcy support card your lucky if you get just one while the newly released arch type always gets at least 2 to 3 at minimum search or draw supports that's just things that I noticed 🤔🤔🤔🤔

As someone who enjoys playing Insect decks (#KRAWLERSWEEP) and is a casual Solfachord enjoyer this episode was doubly painful.
MBT not pulling Elegance to set up scales and no copies of Gracia to search S/Ts realllllly hurt that side of his pulls (even aside from not having generic Pendulum support to supplement them).
