Dude, Josh Allen had no blocking, no receivers creating separation and at best average coaching. Sam Darnold had 4 and 5 star players, attended a ‘Prime’ university and had solid training and coaching, Browns should take Barkley and grab Allen at 4.

Allen has a better skill set and has a higher upside than darnald. Its a risk but if it pays off cleveland will be a great team. In a cold weather division its better to go with a big strong arm qb instead of fair weather california guys.
To say that Darnold will win Super Bowls at this moment in time is crazy... at this point there is no way to really be able to say one quarterback is THAT much better than the other. The reason people love Josh Allen is because he put up those numbers as a raw, undeveloped talent.
I believe for the majority of most QBs, the reason they succeed is because of the system they go in. There is a few who are legit elite QB no matter where they would go.I'm not so sure Darnold,Rosen,Allen are in that class. I can easily see the Browns management being in love with Allen bc he fits the player they need more then Darnold. Having Allen and Barkley could be their version of Big Ben/Bell,they got their version of Brown/JuJu in Gordon/Landry already. Following what the Steelers have done and built isn't a terrible move.

Yeah you do! According to Colin, Buffalo, New York, and Arizona are desperate for quarterbacks. Cleveland can still pick twice in the first and four times in the second, as well as picking up several more picks. Trading down here would work because the Browns only holes won’t be filled at 1 or 4. They would be able to pick a position player without reaching midway through the first.

Colin loves Darnold, but remind me who the last great USC QB was? That’s what I thought, there isn’t one. Darnold is an underachiever and he had all those weapons. Flacco was out of this world good in that title run. He sucked last year, and has only had few moments of true greatness in his career. Thats all fair and true. But when people act like he lucked into a title like a Dilfer or Brad Johnson being carried by teammates it shows a lack of understanding or poor memory. Im not a Flacco fan, but he was sensational during that playoffs. In fact probably one of the better playoff runs by a QB in history.

Richard thomas cuz Allen is nothing like Wentz. He has similar characteristics as far as small school that no one knows about really, big arm big size and decent athleticism. But in terms of playing quarterback, he is not anywhere near Carson Wentz.

I wonder what would have panned out if Josh Allen actually WAS drafted by the Browns.
He'd have worked out better than Baker but there's zero guarantee he'd be half as good as he is in Buffalo. Josh had the good fortune of being drafted by the Bills at a time when they were finally getting their act together as an organization - good new owners, great new coach, and most importantly an amazing GM who built a team around Josh to help maximize the return on his natural attributes and his talent.
The Browns were in 2018 and still are a clown show of an organization. Josh is too talented and hardworking to have been a bust anywhere but it would probably be a Justin Herbert type situation where a really good prospect misses out on truly shining because the coaching, the personnel decisions, or just the general team culture would let him down. And the Browns are a way bigger demoralizing dumpster fire than the Chargers.

I would agree with Cowturd when it comes to the Browns being a poorly run franchise because they are willing to take Josh Allen first overall, but it isn't because the Giants might get Sam Darnold, it is because the Giants might get Saquan Barkley. The Browns could get Barkley with the first pick and then get Allen with the 4th pick really easily.
Darnold is probably the worst of the Mayfield, Rosen and Allen quartet. So in a sense, Cowturd is right that the Browns would be dumb to take Josh Allen first, but he is still a mental midget, thinking that they should pick Darnold instead. In a sense, Darnold is a guy you would draft in the late first and reminds me of the flash in the pan known as John Ross that some team is going to be desperate in picking because there is a run on the position.

Josh Allen will be the best QB coming out of this draft. I am saving this video. If I am wrong, I am wrong it is what it is. But this clown had the same problem of eagles trading up for Wentz. Wentz was highly questioned when he came out of college, he is still questioned. We are not the evaporators, the Browns, Giants, Jets, etc. are. They do continuous studies on prospects all year round. Allen would not have to come to a team and start right away. So it gives him time to develop. Browns have a chance to trade back up or stay put and also get Chubb or Barkley. You cannot teach arm talent and Allen has improved his mechanics after the season ended last year. He is more tight in the pocket instead of being loose and relying heavily on his arm talent. So he has been putting in work and has gotten better. So why not invest in a QB with way more upside than any QB in this draft?
I think Darnold is a bit overrated and Lamar Jackson or Rudolph will be the underrated picks in this draft.

Rosen is the most pro-ready, Mayfield the most driven, Jackson the most athletic and Darnold a blend of those skills. All I hear about Allen is his arm strength, which won't help much if you aren't accurate, and he's not even accurate on the short-medium passes much less the long stuff. Josh Allen won't be the worse QB ever, but he'll never reach the success of the other QBs in this class....with whom he'll always be compared. Good news for Cleveland though, Tyrod Taylor is a better QB than most realize.
Josh Rosen will likely drop because of the fact he talks politics. He should be the No.2 Quarter-Back taken behind Sam Darnold.
It's a sad day in a democratic-republic when a citizen 'talking politics' is a bad thing. Agreed, Darnold should go to the Browns, his arm strength being better than Rosen will help in Cleveland weather. Whatever issues he has with turnovers can be corrected. Rosen, politics aside, does have some durability issues and while technically sound, he comes off as lacking the intensity, passion, and love of the game that I'd like to see in a QB, which is why I like Mayfield a lot. Mayfield just needs to mature more as a person. Jackson is my favorite, he's the youngest but has shown improvement each season, even improving on his Heisman season. I can only see him getting better if he goes to the right coach and isn't expected to start right away. Steelers or Saints would be good for him.

No one got it right, but I will stick to my guns whether right or wrong. I would never draft USC QB and a racist kid that reminds me of Carson Wentz with accuracy issues. They are masking him with an abundance of riches like Stafford early days on offense. Bills draft well, especially defense, he really have no excuse. Next year the narrative on him may change especially if the patriots draft well and Baltimore get younger and stay healthy.

Chiefs Lightning and was god awful, personally I think if you play a weak schedule as a QB you better feast on them if you expect to make it in the NFL I’m sure there are exceptions but looking back the best QB that came into the league lately have played well in college even dominated at some point. Allen never has. Sure his talent sucked but wow his film is bad in some areas

Colin, I just watched a video last night of you talking about how you're supposed to pick the quarterback that has the most "Man-alytics" and how it's not always about who has the best numbers as "nobody cares about your win-loss total and your stats". Well, that would be Josh Allen. Would you rather have Sam Darnold who plays in sunny So Cal or have the rugged Josh Allen who played in Wyoming? Cleveland has chilly winters the last time I checked.
