Awesome little bird,,, always have a soft spot for the Ercoupe. Personally like the rudder conversion,,, There is always the "Purist" point of view, but I like the options available with rudder pedals. Thanks for the ride guys, brings back a LOT of fine memories.
I've worked on a couple of Ercoupes and kinda have a soft spot for them. I wouldn't bother with the rudder pedals if you intend to keep it and fly it. If your intention is to upgrade in the future, you can learn rudder work on something else.
Ercoupes are the safest thing going. Cessnas kill a lot of pilots. Cross controlled spins in the pattern can end a perfectly good flying day. 'Coupes are designed to make that situation virtually impossible.
Rudder pedal conversion does a disservice to the design of this amazing aircraft. Don't ruin a perfectly good aircraft. If you want rudder pedals that badly, buy a two seat Cessna or Piper.

My first airplane ride was out of Pickens county in an Ercoupe . My friend Bob had one and I have many fond memories of that plane .
Nice deco panel in the coupe.
Great! I fly out of Lafayette...
Thanks for the ride

Does anybody know if it's possible to do long trips with an Ercoupe 90hp engine?
I’m loving the Coupe and I’m getting one. What does everyone think about the rudder pedals conversion?
Just buy a Cessna 150 instead.

Have the same question as Jon. Where you based out of? Nice videos!
Sounds and looks like Pickens County, SC.
Looked like about 200 ft/min rate of climb, adequate.
Mike where are you based out of?
I assume this student has no flying experience, hope he gets better as he gets more time in the air.
As the title says, First Flight Lesson
Everyone has to start somewhere. Thanks have a great day. Looks like fun. Lots to do to be proficient.

Does this one have rudder pedals?
Agreed. Fred Wick knew what he was doing.
You guys fly low doesn't look like anywhere to land if the engine quits I think I would go up to 5000 feet at least give some range.
