Just been a collector of live recordings since the start. Got my first bootleg video back in early 93, at a record convention in Seattle. Then things got out of control in the mid 90s when finding other collectors became easy with the internet. I only wish I woulda started filming shows earlier, as I didn’t start doing that until 2003.
pjvideoguy well, I'm glad you did start filming & collecting. Been a PJ fan since 91 when I was 15. My dad raised me & was WAY overprotective so I wasn't allowed to go to any of these rock shows back then. It's a joy to see these performances now. So thanks for taking the time to post them.
"Ten" had come out not even three months prior to this, yet the band were already at the "signing autographs" level of fame by this point. Just goes to show how quickly rock music changed in 1991 from what it had been before.
I SO WISH I WAS THERE. I DIDN'T GET TEN TIL '92 I LOVE THESE GUYS SO MUCH THE WHOLE BAND IS AMAZING. HUGE MATT CAMERON FAN TOO LOVE ALL THE SONGS HE WROTE WITH SOUNDGARDEN AND PJ. RESPECT TO DAVE. THEY'RE BOTH LOVED AND APPRECIATED BY THE FANS. Sorry for caps. Just trying to express my love. 💜🙌
Hung out with them again while being a DJ in the late 80s early 90s, and my cousin got the residency at the Limelight in 89 ,The church was a Gothic Revival brownstone building that was built in 1844-1845 , it was huge inside, there are 5 sub floors , and the main dancing area with the stage was under the church, Sundays they called communion ,so I walk into the green room, because they always had bottles of Hires Root Beer , the 1st Root Beer company ever. After all, I don't drink, and there they were, sitting at a table with the setlist...there's video of this concert and I'm above the stage In a white Ralph Lauren Oxford shirt and pants,i started going and got my all acess pass in 9th grade. the Limelight also paid for a room at The Square Hotel at Times Square from Thusday night and we would leave Monday morning around 4 AM, we to get to school by 730 AM , and we were over 70 miles down Long island, my girl friends father was so cool and smart, he was a nuclear physicist when the Shoream Nuclear plant started going up, in 1990 instead of buying a Porsche 911 like everyone else had, he got a 1990 Yellow Lotus Esprit SE ATS Racing package,we were both tripping from Mushrooms and the sun when it came up hurt like hell, but she just stayed at 135 MPHs and looked forward the whole time...Pearl Jam played Saturday Night Live April 11th 1992, and on Apr 12, 1992 the Limelight.
