I know that most people watching this vid are peeps from my era. And I just want to say can we take a moment to acknowledge how amazing the 1992 mtv awards were. Performing, Pearl Jam, Chilli Peppers, Nirvana, GNR's and others. I have never seen anything like this since and probably never will again. Love to all who see this vid.
yes i think the same im 43!! ajaja im old!! but im proud and i feel so good for having grow up with this fancy amazing and GOOD REAL MUSIC i was 11 or 12 and i remenber seein for 1st time nirvana and WOWWWW i was waiting for guns and roses but the sideshow was ajajaj NIRVANA REHOT CHILLI PEPPERS AND PERAL JAM AND THE RES IS HISTORY
Great band 👍🏻🎸Dave's drumming is awesome. I miss the 90s. Whoever is reading this.....i wish you luck in anything you're doing right now.🤘🏻👊🏻 And if you're going through shite.. everything is going to be alright.
Hey, I know this singer lol😁. I use to surf my guts out with Eddie back in the day in San Diego 🤙🏄. One of, no actually the kindest good hearted human being I've ever known, fact! Success couldn't have happened to a better man, seriously this dude was on his own at 15 paying his own bills working multiple jobs etc. Friends 4 life 🏄🤙
No wayyyy! That's so cool that you personally knew him! What did it feel like when Pearl Jam gained attention knowing you were friends with the lead singer..it must have been surreal :O
Excellent version indeed. Please if you are a Pearl Jam connoisseur… check out Jeremy from the April 3, 1994 concert, the Fox theater in Atlanta. Extended outro, total masterpiece. In fact, the entire concert is a total masterpiece. I say it all the time that this show is the best show that any band has ever performed. The Setlist is perfection and their energy level that night is off the charts as well. Fire was burning on this evening Plus Dave is playing the drums. The sweat covered beast in the back…his name is Dave. Hi Dave… The greatest thing is they actually broadcasted this concert over FM radio unedited. It was a Sunday night, I was 16 years old riding shotgun on my way home from Seaside Heights in New Jersey. Had another friend at home recording the entire show on cassette and I assure you my copy was worn out. I always go back to this show, its hard to not listen to the entire broadcast because it really is exactly how it’s supposed to be done, it was before Vitalogy come out, but they perform at least three songs I think from it and it really is the peak of perfection. Maybe passion is the right word…the peak of a passionate performance. Only downfall is there’s very little video. Recently some clips have popped up on TH-cam but far from the full deal. If you want clips check out the 4/12/94 show from Boston…video and soundboard audio quality. Total awesomeness. Definitely checkout Immortality with alternative lyrics..if I recall correctly the night before was the first time they ever played it. O and Blood….sorry this is so long but holy shit listen to Blood from either show…wanna talk about that being how it’s done…😬👊🏻🤘🏻Dude….🤔 Thank you PJ…best therapy there is
@@gnr311182pj They broadcast that concert on the radio and I recorded it on a cassette tape. They played Betterman ("this song's dedicated to the bastard who married my mama") and a faster version of Satan's Bed with more impassioned vocals than what turned up on Vitology some 7 months later. Sonic Reducer, the Pink Floyd Daughter tag, and, of course, an inspired version of Jeremy were other highlights from that show. I cried the day the sun destroyed that cassette!
I, too, wore out that cassette recorded from 99X in Atlanta. Black into Alive, the band on fire, Eddie somewhere in the stratosphere vocally...Rearviewmirror and Whipping the 2nd and 3rd songs of the night...my favorite live show ever as well
I was watching this on my parents bedroom tv … 11 years old. Very next day I picked up that bright house buy one cd for a penny get 11 free …. Whatever scam that was … and looked for this album/song and ended up selecting Neil Young “Decade.” The CD arrived and I frantically paced through the double disc looking for this song …. I was so bummed at first it didn’t have this track… and then came Cinnamon girl, Down by the river, old man, Ohio…. One of the best mistakes I’ve ever made. Literally became the soundtrack to my teen years…
