I won’t disagree with you on Lucid, but Tesla and Rivian are the real deal. NIO would not exist if it weren’t for Tesla. Their interior design language was inspired by Tesla, and Rivian is following that same minimalist, clean interior direction. Respect the pioneer.

In Q1 2023 the Model Y was the best selling car in the world. NIO's sales have been trending down this year. I have no idea what NIO will do in the second half of the year but NIO's Q1 results are going to be a Cluster Frack. NIO has too many distractions and is not focused. Adding to that are its proprietary swap stations that are too expensive and require staffing. In Europe I would prefer them to work with existing charge stations and use that cash elsewhere. Even if they have the best EVs the market doesn't care. If NIO does come to the US, I expect that the results will be even worse than what we've seen in Europe. And we know how well that has worked. Hope I'm wrong as I have NIO stock. Ouch!
this is such a good looking car, hear it is to be launched on the 16 june here in Norway. but do it have the "one pedal" drive when cue driving in packed traffic ? as far as i remember, the old models, had it so that u could press the pedal hard for a couple of seconds until a red dot came in the screen, and then it would auto drive so to say, when cue driving in dence traffic.. looking so forward to test drive it, and if the price is right, it will soon be parked outside the door here.. 🤘😀

NIO Pilot needs a lot of work, it seems. All those cameras and hardware but lacks the software to center the car in the lane, for example, without drifting/near swerving, as evident in 9:08. Before you disabled NIO Pilot, it looked like you were correcting hand on steering wheel when NIO Pilot was drifting to the right. Bjørn Nyland has a video that demonstrates this problem in greater detail.
Is 4 free battery swaps a month forever really a good idea? Doesn't that cut off a potential revenue stream + more cash burn, since I assume you'd only need to swap batteries maybe 4 times a month?
For so many years, none of the car designs interest me like in the 90s Japanese does. Worse was the adoption of big mouth grilles, unnecessary design details, i.e. lines, creases and angles... Total turn off. Until the rise of the car makers in China, which I say, I like their design and their design are what I agreed upon. Clean and neat. And now I am very excited on Chinese cars than any other makers. Their EVs introduction are just in explosive numbers.
