    It's a battle each morning to wake up at 5 am for adoration and morning mass, I win more often than I lose.... when I lose, my day is a little shity, and I'm all over the place with no sense of direction..... thank you for this reminder to persist❤

      You are blessed to have an opportunity to go to Mass +++. I live in an area that does not have a Catholic Church. I am happy to hear this is important to you:)

      This morning routine is more than just productivity hacks; it’s about living with purpose and clarity. I’m definitely incorporating the gratitude journal into my mornings! How do you plan to bring Stoic principles into your daily routine?

    1. find your ikegai
    2. Prepare for morning (stop screen time early, prepare your workout clothes the day before, no loose ends to swim in your head before bed, meditate etc)
    3. Avoid distractions when waking up.
    (Have a routine, resist scrolling on the phone)
    4. Wake up consistently. (No snooze button)
    5. Take it easy: steadfast commitment. Discomfort is temporary. Discomfort is an investment.
    6. Accountability partner.
    7. Remember the perspective of mortality.
    8. Practice negative visualization: prepare for the worst, unexpected events. Something as simple as having a spare tire in case of a flat and knowing how to change a tire. This visualization now made you acknowledge you need to learn to change a tire and have a spare tire in your care. Silly example but you get the point.
    9. Maintain a gratitude journal.
    10. Visualizations and Affirmations.
    Visualize your goals, positive speaking to yourself in the mirror: you got this, etc.

      I love how this video connects ancient wisdom with modern life. Marcus Aurelius' morning reflections really resonate with me. Let’s remember, each day is a gift to be embraced fully! Who else is starting tomorrow with their ‘reason for being’ in mind?

      That's a fantastic quote! It emphasizes the idea that personal growth isn't necessarily about leaving your comfort zone entirely but rather stretching its boundaries to encompass new experiences and challenges. Thank you for sharing it! If you have any more quotes or thoughts you'd like to discuss, feel free to share.

    " We suffer more in our imagination than in reality." - Seneca

    • @adviceforhealth
      @adviceforhealth  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a profound quote by Seneca. It reminds us of the power of our thoughts and perceptions in shaping our experiences. Often, our fears and anxieties about the future or regrets about the past cause more suffering than the actual events themselves. It's a powerful reminder to stay grounded in the present moment and to challenge our negative thoughts and assumptions. Thank you for sharing this insightful quote.

    Wouldn’t negative visualization prevail over the positive visualization and cause anxiety?

    • @adviceforhealth
      @adviceforhealth  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Negative visualization in Stoicism involves imagining the worst-case scenarios to prepare oneself mentally and emotionally for potential challenges. While it may seem counterintuitive, the purpose of negative visualization is not to dwell on negative outcomes or induce anxiety, but rather to cultivate resilience and appreciation for what one currently has.
