Hey, no prob. This was a nice change of pace. Other than RWBY and that dragon prince show, this is practically the only good american cartoon out there at the moment.
To be fair, I yhink Cho might have been able to best one of them but not all three. It seemed like she had Alucard off-guard until Sypha takes her out. Her backstory makes it seem like she had a fair amount of martial prowess, and of all the generals seemed like she was the fastest by a huge margin.
Carmilla's use of the word 'extinct' is interesting. Considering the vampires basically equate humans with prey animals, it seems like she thinks of the Belmonts as a different species altogether. The kind that bites back.
It's normal for noble houses to be described as "extinct" when those bearing the family name have all died out, or the house could be described as extinct if the entire male line is wiped out, seeing as they're the ones that carry on the family name and bear the family genes, I know women do as well, but they're married off to other families, meaning the children they bear don't possess their former family's name.
This is why i kinda hate religion too irl, after being a Castlevania fan and after having watched the series ..... they're a clan working near the truth of things - Drac's past... idk man, i'm taking Gabriel as THE canon one - yet they gotta deal with a hunter from the other team, biased by God and stuff.
The moment Belmont was mentioned, Carmilla's whole facade came down for a second. She wasn't even trying to kiss up anymore. Meanwhile, Dracula is just like "Oh? Leon's progeny's still running around? That's nice."
Dracula underestimates the Belmonts. Trevor,by far one of the weakest Belmonts already gave him a lot of trouble. The later belmonts will all fuck him up

When you realize Cho tortured the very best that Japan had to offer but is STILL shocked to hear there are Belemonts about, that stands as a testament to the absolute terror that is that family.
Yeah... that emphasizes how stupid Cho was. Torturing and tormenting her humans like that, when she could have been solidifying their loyalty. Then again, all the vampires in this show are like that - they're not predators, they're just scum.

The Belmont clan has survived for centuries in a profession that does not forgive error... Outside of Dracula himself, none of the others really stood a chance. The only one that seemed to realize that was Carmilla, and, not surprisingly, she is the only one that survived.

If you take a step back from all of this and think how a grieving man condemns his progeny to an eternal hunt for the supernatural for just the loss of his wife instead of equipping them with training and knowledge to safeguard their homes is any better than the monsters he hunts, in all aspects the Belmonts are no better than the corrupt church, zealots and cultists. EDIT : Just to clarify I'm critiquing the "Belmonts" as some one who enjoys nitpicking stories and worldbuilding as I love reading and lately I've come to appreciate moral ambiguity in stories as opposed to clear distinct sides as rarely I've come to enjoy them, just personal tastes. Should all belmonts follow the call for the hunt some where down the line you'll ultimately come across people fighting for reasons they don't understand and causes they don't believe in and this ultimately perpetuates a vicious cycle of Hunter and Hunted. The lore of the game was simply made so we could hunt monsters as a means to further the plot but I just decided to look past that and wonder what could happen if this goes on as there is never a what's next after all this. I'm merely critiquing the "Belmonts" as they are simillar to other organization in fiction such as Jedi in Star wars(KOTOR 1 and 2), the Shinobi's in Naruto and finally the humans in Tokyo Ghoul/ Hunter X Hunter (ant arc) just to name a few where they show different sides of the narrative with varying depth.

The Belmonts would dedicate their entire lineage to fighting nightmares, so that other people wouldn't have to. Leon recognized that there were some seriously evil creatures out there, and many of them had been humans who had foresaken their humanity. His oath was, "My entire clan will fight, so that other people won't have to feel this pain that I feel right now."

I actually disagree. Yes, in this instance she recognized the threat immediately, but she was a fucking moron. If Sypha didn't move the castle, Dracula would have ripped her apart piece by piece. And Godbrand was the first one to realize Dracula was trying to die and bring the rest of them with him.
And then we don't actually see any weapon supposedly hidden under the Belmont estate. It was a plotpoint to give Carmilla some point of critic against Dracula. Not that it mattered, every argument she threw at her liege was pointless, that war council was never a democracy, they wouldn't have dared deny Dracula their alliegance even if they knew his true intentions.
Belmonts have been hunting vampires and monsters for centuries. The fact that these vampires are across the world or even over seas, it still terrifies them to even hear the word "Belmont" being they all know the legends of a monster hunter that hides under their coffin.
Given that they are centuries old they probably saw Belmont's killing vampires to them belmonts aren't legends they're the worst nights of their lives.

Much like in real life example, they were out to curb anyone or anything that would give people hope and wasn't part of Catholic Church. Because if people believed in and relied on anything or anyone else, then the Church has no power and influence over those people. Having all those people under their sway meant potential cannon fodder to die for your cause, and gaining their wealth and land under the guise of "providing for God".

@@Visplight there has to be a reason why he did that. For some reason, Dracula seems to have more trust in the humans of his war Council than in his vampires. He said it himself. Isaac and Hector are bound to him by intellect, while Carmilla and Godbrand are driven by thirst. Oh sure, any other vampire could have stood a better chance against Dracula if they were in Lisa’s position all those years ago, but Lisa was special. She was human, and did not fear Dracula. He hated humans, yet he treasured her so much because she was unique. She made him travel the world to learn of the current state of human life, and they had a son together. I think out of respect, more than anything else, is why Dracula did not turn Lisa. He did not want to change something so perfect in his eyes. He probably forgot that humans were still cruel while he was travelling and learning, that’s why he didn’t give her any other protection. After all, if you fell in love with someone for who they were, would you change them? Even to protect them, and risk losing their originality forever?
I love how vampires from all over Europe all the way to freaking India, Russia and Japan get scared from the mere mention of the Belmont name. An entire clan of literal world traveling monster hunters. Men and women so tough that they’d beat demons with nothing but a whip. That’s badass.
Well don't forget the sub weapons, like the axes and the boomerang knife, holy water. But yes it's the legendary vampire killer whip that they're terrified of. A whip that is designed through alchemy by the sheer hatred of one woman's love for her Leon belmont. Her hatred for the creatures of the night. I would love honestly if they actually delved into the origin of the belmonts and how they ascertain their legendary status against the creatures of the night. A prequel to Castlevania would be most entertaining and needed
"Nothing but a whip" by a lot of accounts, a whip is an excellent weapon to fight vampires. Its tip can reach very high speeds and combined with its reach, a whip can hit vampires from a safe distance when a lot of weapons couldn't. A melee weapon would be way worse for killing vampires.
I am a bit perplexed with the indian vampire shown having a bit of dark skin. Is she using a spray tan? Something about a vampire having melanin is concerning. How did she develop melanin if sunlight kills you.lets say she was a bit dark before becoming a vampire due to bite, is she less susceptible to sunlight? I got questions.😮
I love how it's not "Belmonts", just "Belmont". Like the idea that there's even a single Belmont still walking the earth is enough to scare all of the vampires there (save Dracula) and make them paranoid about what "it" could potentially do to them.
They are right to be afraid. For all the vampires' invulnerabilities, supernatural powers and general immortality, a Belmont can always find a way to end them. No matter who you are, a Belmont is a threat to you. No exceptions. Not even Dracula. Not even Death.
A lot of people in the comments seem to forget that Dracula was *trying* to die, and so actually wanted Trevor to make it to the hold to become better able to kill him.

@AH - 10ZZ - Stephen Lewis SS (2682) exactly. His ultimate goals was to wipe out the humans and let the remaining vampires all die off as well, so he certainly didn't want to be killed before succeeding in his plan. And had he not let Alucard kill him, he likely would have succeeded
I think that's overly simplistic. Dracula was still at least nominally committed to wiping out humanity, dying wasn't really his goal (except maybe as some distant thing after humanity was gone) -- rather, season 2 picks up at the point where his anger is burning out and his misery and depression and exhaustion is starting to overwhelm it. I'm sure he is having suicidal thoughts, but there's not a conscious, concrete plan to die, just the general notion that he's tired of everything.

Carmilla had that whole betrayal planned out on the assumption that Dracula was weakened and malnourished, but seeing him fight Alucard, he probably would have curbstomped her. Carmilla's not as clever as she thinks she is.

It's no surprise they were all shocked. After watching Trevor who wasn't even trained completely, it must have been terrifying that there was a whole *family* of these guys running around. Even with Dracula as powerful as he is, the fact the Belmonts have so much information on the castle implied they stormed it several times before Dracula just teleported it away.
Even though Dracula is attempting suicide, even if he wasn't, he's the only one in that room that could stand to look as composed as he did here. Sure, he will cannonically lose to them over and over, but he's also the only one that gets to walk that off in the next 100 years, and he's the only one that can put up a fight with them by himself. That's not even mentioning if he invited Death or decided to use the Demonic Megido.
Lmao I imagine Dracula just teleporting away like any other day, while the Belmonts were probably putting a lot of importance on the fact that they located and stormed Dracula’s castle, only for it to suddenly disappear

Just the Belmonts storming the castle, slaughtering Dracula’s minions, Dracula tussles with them for a bit, everyone takes a break for lunch and some of the more scientifically minded Belmonts have a pleasant conversation with Dracula and a tour of the labs, round 2, any of the Belmonts still standing help clean up the mess all the fighting made, then everyone goes home and agree to meet again next decade
It's interesting, cause here we have three seasons of the series, without Carmilla even encountering Trevor Belmont, and she's still visibly scared at the notion of Belmont interfering. This showcases that what humans feel for vampires, vampires feel for the Belmonts.

The fact that one of the first vampires we see react to the name Belmont is Chō is a nice little detail, confirming that even someone from as far away as goddamn _Japan_ knows and fears the Vampire Killers.
Godbrand was unfortunately definitely the kind of person who would get killed over his comments. Considering most of his peers COULD kill him if drawn into a fight, he wasn't going to last long. Vikings weren't known for their long lives, they were known for their complete lack of regard for personal safety.
I would have liked to seen him meet Trevor honestly, I'd love to seen that exchange before that fight. You know those two would kinda get along, and have some form of mutual respect before having to put each other down.

In the game's timeline Leon Belmont was born in 1094 while Trevor Belmont was born in 1476. Trevor is the first Belmont to have ever killed Dracula, but that still means that there were at least generations of Belmonts in between the years 1100-1476 that were destroying vampires on a legendary scale.

So the clan's power and prestige grew despite the hazards. t also helps that the Belmont clan typically gets stronger with each generation due in part to the effects of the Vampire Killer Whip in their bloodline.

I believe Carmilla take advantage the event of Godbrand's ignorance showing herself more knowledgeable, capable and loyal in front of Dracula. Her face expression at last second shows it all. A manipulative femme fatale.
imagine John Wick, now imagine there's a whole clan of him. that's how the vampires see the Belmont clan. (seeing one Belmont could probably make a low tier vampire sh*t bricks of blood)
I really like the idea that Carmilla was the target of a Belmont before. One that very nearly killed her. She knows how dangerous a Belmont can be, because she has seen one of them in action. I feel like it not only adds more to the weight of the scene, but it adds more to Carmilla's immediate reaction. That face of "OH SHIT." and her subsequent tearing out Godbrands, proverbial, throat becomes much more weighty, because there is that genuine fear there.
That... is actually an excellent theory. One I wish they had run with and why she sought to avoid getting entangled with the Belmonts. A shame the writing and dialogue destroyed anything good I could find about this show.
Carmilla is acting like she’s at Camp Crystal Lake smoking dope and having premarital sex, and just heard “KI, KI, KI....MA, MA, MA....” She’s not wrong.
mynewtsack if you watch the original F13, Pamela Voorhees keeps saying “kill her mommy” while chasing the final girl, believing that it’s Jason’s spirit or whatever demanding vengeance or something like that. Since Jason himself took over as the lead antagonist, the roles are reversed. Now Jason is driven by hallucinations of his departed mother commanding him to “kill for mommy” or “kill for mother” depending on who was writing the script that day. Over time, it’s devolved in-universe to “KI KI KI....MA MA MA.”
I believe it is not that Carmilla was just scared - no. She made a big deal of Belmont, and rightfully so, but she made it so she could put herself as someone who actually has any kind of initiative and understanind of their situation. It pays off later on when manipulating Godbrand and Hector as they both see Carmilla actually is right. It is not hard thing to do - Dracula is completely unmotivated and all the generals are just yes-men and yes-women, while Carmilla looks like a person who reacts to threats and makes good decisions. Getting Hector in season 3 guarantees she can now do Dracula's plan on her own terms for her own benefit.
until even her own sisters turn on her because her goal is to conquer the world... and her sisters realize *that's never going to work* Ironically, Dracula's plan was more sensible to carry out.
I like how there's that eerie instrumental in the background until Camilla mentions how the Belmonts hunted vampires for centuries, there you can hear this rumbling sound, almost like a roar and it grows with the more she talks about them, showing the fear, desperation to get rid of Trevor and her rage. The horn, violin, and drums from the band slowly blending into the background one by one is also a nice touch showing the full intent after her small outburst giving this meeting a glimpse of her mask breaking for a split second and her drive to kill Trevor before he manages to kill her and the others.
I really love the small detail of Carmilla's use of the word "It" when referencing the returned belmont and his possible access to the hoard of vampire killing weapons
Carmilla broke character when she heard that there was a Belmont still alive which shows how much impact the Belmont clan has on vampires and any other creature of the night.
Just a casual reminder that Leon told Dracula that the Belmont clan would always hunt him, and in the ~400 years since then, not a single one has been able to best him. He had no reason to fear a single Belmont, even if he was working with Alucard.
You know...now that we know more about Cho and how strong dangerous and malicious she is. The fact that even her calm demeanor is replaced by a surprised and worried expression the moment a Belmont is mentioned is quite telling of how terrifying the prospect of a Belmont is even for a vampire that lived faraway in Japan. The Bemonts might as well be monster or grim reapers for the vampires simply for the fear they bring where they go and even where they may not have gone.
Carmilla is my favourite vampire of all time. They wrote every character in the show so fantastically but she is the best. When she commands the undead archbishop to bless the river with him standing in it is the most bad ass scene ever.
I just love that the "Belmont" is so infamous among vampires that they refer to one like a faceless monster much like the rest of the world views them. Referring to Belmont as a "It" rather than a "They"
yeah and they produced stronger and more dedicated vampire hunters every generations Simon, Richter and Julius are the strongest in their clan history.
Unfortunately, since the time of Leon, not a single Belmont managed to beat Dracula until Trevor. They only got better with time. Christopher and Simon did it twice, Juste did it prematurely, Richter did it once, and Julius beat Dracula so hard that he had to reincarnate as a Japanese kid.
@@Emberson-9000he means the Belmonts BEFORE Trevor. They had to be pretty powerful and the main reason these vampire generals are so scared of them. Some of them maybe even fought or had family killed by Belmonts.

Woul have been cool if Trevor was the one killing him but well, he at least survived Dracula's encounter. Which was disappointing when you know the games and he was the one who whipped him to hell, not Alucard.
At that point in the show "There's apparently a Belmont with them" Dracula: "Finally, roll out the red carpet and get me my best suit, I wanna look good when I die."
So did she forget about the Belmont boy in season three of Castlevania or did i miss something. Because they're planning on expanding, I'd think it would be best for her and the others to look for the Belmont and kill him before he kills them.
Maybe when she got back home she felt like she didn't have to worry about Belmont since she's back in her element, plus trevor, sypha and alucard were hunting Dracula who is now dead, so I think she believes that they won't hunt her down.

i fucking love this comment OMG i didn't realize that this would make so much sense too because.... yeah, why WOULD they leave all that shit laying about??????????? I almost wish Godbrand had actually said this - it would have fleshed him out a little bit more and solidified his place in the council (basically showing us that he's there for a REASON, and that he's NOT just some regular ass vampire that's just there because plot demands it). Godbrand actually was the first to figure out Dracula was trying to kill himself and the rest of the vampires too, so this is actually within his character to have realized as well. Ugh. Rip Godbrand. He truly was a hidden gem that was underutilized.

Lets reconsider Trevor was NOT in his best shape when they marched into Draculas Castle and fought the Council but hell did Carmilla have a solid reason to panic for the existence of a single Belmont since no matter if he had help or not Even a rusty Belmont is a bigger threat than any of the armed soldiers the vampires have met yet
Interesting. Most humans are 'livestock' yet Carmilla said "A Belmonte? I thought they were extinct?" - noticably phrased like her and other Vampires consider the Belmontes to be a species of their own, seperate from the rest of Humanity.

All the vampires were fucking greedy imbeciles and were of no help. Meanwhile the other three of the vampire sisters in Styria were all exceptionally talented, and knew how to divide the labor efficiently. Though to be fair to Dracula I'm sure he didn't really care.

Carmilla's use of the word 'extinct' is interesting. Considering the vampires basically equate humans with prey animals, it seems like she thinks of the Belmonts as a different species altogether. The kind that bites back.
It is funnier how the existence of one remaining Belmont was enough for her to lose her tough facade and actually show a bit of panic.

It's normal for noble houses to be described as "extinct" when those bearing the family name have all died out, or the house could be described as extinct if the entire male line is wiped out, seeing as they're the ones that carry on the family name and bear the family genes, I know women do as well, but they're married off to other families, meaning the children they bear don't possess their former family's name.

When you realize Cho tortured the very best that Japan had to offer but is STILL shocked to hear there are Belemonts about, that stands as a testament to the absolute terror that is that family.

If you take a step back from all of this and think how a grieving man condemns his progeny to an eternal hunt for the supernatural for just the loss of his wife instead of equipping them with training and knowledge to safeguard their homes is any better than the monsters he hunts, in all aspects the Belmonts are no better than the corrupt church, zealots and cultists.

Just to clarify I'm critiquing the "Belmonts" as some one who enjoys nitpicking stories and worldbuilding as I love reading and lately I've come to appreciate moral ambiguity in stories as opposed to clear distinct sides as rarely I've come to enjoy them, just personal tastes.
Should all belmonts follow the call for the hunt some where down the line you'll ultimately come across people fighting for reasons they don't understand and causes they don't believe in and this ultimately perpetuates a vicious cycle of Hunter and Hunted.
The lore of the game was simply made so we could hunt monsters as a means to further the plot but I just decided to look past that and wonder what could happen if this goes on as there is never a what's next after all this. I'm merely critiquing the "Belmonts" as they are simillar to other organization in fiction such as Jedi in Star wars(KOTOR 1 and 2), the Shinobi's in Naruto and finally the humans in Tokyo Ghoul/ Hunter X Hunter (ant arc) just to name a few where they show different sides of the narrative with varying depth.

I actually disagree. Yes, in this instance she recognized the threat immediately, but she was a fucking moron. If Sypha didn't move the castle, Dracula would have ripped her apart piece by piece. And Godbrand was the first one to realize Dracula was trying to die and bring the rest of them with him.
And then we don't actually see any weapon supposedly hidden under the Belmont estate.
It was a plotpoint to give Carmilla some point of critic against Dracula. Not that it mattered, every argument she threw at her liege was pointless, that war council was never a democracy, they wouldn't have dared deny Dracula their alliegance even if they knew his true intentions.
Belmonts have been hunting vampires and monsters for centuries. The fact that these vampires are across the world or even over seas, it still terrifies them to even hear the word "Belmont" being they all know the legends of a monster hunter that hides under their coffin.

Much like in real life example, they were out to curb anyone or anything that would give people hope and wasn't part of Catholic Church. Because if people believed in and relied on anything or anyone else, then the Church has no power and influence over those people. Having all those people under their sway meant potential cannon fodder to die for your cause, and gaining their wealth and land under the guise of "providing for God".

Oh sure, any other vampire could have stood a better chance against Dracula if they were in Lisa’s position all those years ago, but Lisa was special. She was human, and did not fear Dracula.
He hated humans, yet he treasured her so much because she was unique. She made him travel the world to learn of the current state of human life, and they had a son together.
I think out of respect, more than anything else, is why Dracula did not turn Lisa. He did not want to change something so perfect in his eyes. He probably forgot that humans were still cruel while he was travelling and learning, that’s why he didn’t give her any other protection.
After all, if you fell in love with someone for who they were, would you change them? Even to protect them, and risk losing their originality forever?

Well don't forget the sub weapons, like the axes and the boomerang knife, holy water. But yes it's the legendary vampire killer whip that they're terrified of. I would love honestly if they actually delved into the origin of the belmonts and how they ascertain their legendary status against the creatures of the night. A prequel to Castlevania would be most entertaining and needed
"Nothing but a whip" by a lot of accounts, a whip is an excellent weapon to fight vampires. Its tip can reach very high speeds and combined with its reach, a whip can hit vampires from a safe distance when a lot of weapons couldn't.
A melee weapon would be way worse for killing vampires.

I think that's overly simplistic. Dracula was still at least nominally committed to wiping out humanity, dying wasn't really his goal (except maybe as some distant thing after humanity was gone) -- rather, season 2 picks up at the point where his anger is burning out and his misery and depression and exhaustion is starting to overwhelm it. I'm sure he is having suicidal thoughts, but there's not a conscious, concrete plan to die, just the general notion that he's tired of everything.
Imagine if there was a spinoff series about the prime of the Belmont clan hunting monsters together. A legion of Belmonts. Just IMAGINE.

It's no surprise they were all shocked. After watching Trevor who wasn't even trained completely, it must have been terrifying that there was a whole *family* of these guys running around. Even with Dracula as powerful as he is, the fact the Belmonts have so much information on the castle implied they stormed it several times before Dracula just teleported it away.
Even though Dracula is attempting suicide, even if he wasn't, he's the only one in that room that could stand to look as composed as he did here. Sure, he will cannonically lose to them over and over, but he's also the only one that gets to walk that off in the next 100 years, and he's the only one that can put up a fight with them by himself. That's not even mentioning if he invited Death or decided to use the Demonic Megido.

Just the Belmonts storming the castle, slaughtering Dracula’s minions, Dracula tussles with them for a bit, everyone takes a break for lunch and some of the more scientifically minded Belmonts have a pleasant conversation with Dracula and a tour of the labs, round 2, any of the Belmonts still standing help clean up the mess all the fighting made, then everyone goes home and agree to meet again next decade
It's interesting, cause here we have three seasons of the series, without Carmilla even encountering Trevor Belmont, and she's still visibly scared at the notion of Belmont interfering. This showcases that what humans feel for vampires, vampires feel for the Belmonts.
Notice how she refers to Trevor as “it”? She’s terrified at the notion a Belmont exists but still considers him a thing and not a person.
I think she uses ,,it" more as ,,monster" then ,,object" after seeing her and all other Vimpires reactions.
This a room full of the strongest and oldest vampires on the planet… and the word “Belmont” stopped the entire room. That says a lot in itself.

The fact that one of the first vampires we see react to the name Belmont is Chō is a nice little detail, confirming that even someone from as far away as goddamn _Japan_ knows and fears the Vampire Killers.

Godbrand was unfortunately definitely the kind of person who would get killed over his comments. Considering most of his peers COULD kill him if drawn into a fight, he wasn't going to last long. Vikings weren't known for their long lives, they were known for their complete lack of regard for personal safety.
I would have liked to seen him meet Trevor honestly, I'd love to seen that exchange before that fight. You know those two would kinda get along, and have some form of mutual respect before having to put each other down.

In the game's timeline Leon Belmont was born in 1094 while Trevor Belmont was born in 1476. Trevor is the first Belmont to have ever killed Dracula, but that still means that there were at least generations of Belmonts in between the years 1100-1476 that were destroying vampires on a legendary scale.

I really like the idea that Carmilla was the target of a Belmont before. One that very nearly killed her. She knows how dangerous a Belmont can be, because she has seen one of them in action. I feel like it not only adds more to the weight of the scene, but it adds more to Carmilla's immediate reaction. That face of "OH SHIT." and her subsequent tearing out Godbrands, proverbial, throat becomes much more weighty, because there is that genuine fear there.
That... is actually an excellent theory. One I wish they had run with and why she sought to avoid getting entangled with the Belmonts.
A shame the writing and dialogue destroyed anything good I could find about this show.

mynewtsack if you watch the original F13, Pamela Voorhees keeps saying “kill her mommy” while chasing the final girl, believing that it’s Jason’s spirit or whatever demanding vengeance or something like that.
Since Jason himself took over as the lead antagonist, the roles are reversed. Now Jason is driven by hallucinations of his departed mother commanding him to “kill for mommy” or “kill for mother” depending on who was writing the script that day.
Over time, it’s devolved in-universe to “KI KI KI....MA MA MA.”
I believe it is not that Carmilla was just scared - no. She made a big deal of Belmont, and rightfully so, but she made it so she could put herself as someone who actually has any kind of initiative and understanind of their situation. It pays off later on when manipulating Godbrand and Hector as they both see Carmilla actually is right. It is not hard thing to do - Dracula is completely unmotivated and all the generals are just yes-men and yes-women, while Carmilla looks like a person who reacts to threats and makes good decisions. Getting Hector in season 3 guarantees she can now do Dracula's plan on her own terms for her own benefit.
Too bad she's got a pissed off Forge Master hunting for her head and I have no doubt Trevor and Sypha will get pulled into things somehow
I mean the way that Trevor and Company went through Dracula's war council her fears were Justified

I love how the vampires refer to Treffor as “The Belmont”, like he’s a special breed of animal but not the same as any other generic human
I like how there's that eerie instrumental in the background until Camilla mentions how the Belmonts hunted vampires for centuries, there you can hear this rumbling sound, almost like a roar and it grows with the more she talks about them, showing the fear, desperation to get rid of Trevor and her rage. The horn, violin, and drums from the band slowly blending into the background one by one is also a nice touch showing the full intent after her small outburst giving this meeting a glimpse of her mask breaking for a split second and her drive to kill Trevor before he manages to kill her and the others.

I really love the small detail of Carmilla's use of the word "It" when referencing the returned belmont and his possible access to the hoard of vampire killing weapons

Just a casual reminder that Leon told Dracula that the Belmont clan would always hunt him, and in the ~400 years since then, not a single one has been able to best him. He had no reason to fear a single Belmont, even if he was working with Alucard.

You know...now that we know more about Cho and how strong dangerous and malicious she is.
The fact that even her calm demeanor is replaced by a surprised and worried expression the moment a Belmont is mentioned is quite telling of how terrifying the prospect of a Belmont is even for a vampire that lived faraway in Japan.
The Bemonts might as well be monster or grim reapers for the vampires simply for the fear they bring where they go and even where they may not have gone.

Carmilla is my favourite vampire of all time. They wrote every character in the show so fantastically but she is the best. When she commands the undead archbishop to bless the river with him standing in it is the most bad ass scene ever.

Unfortunately, since the time of Leon, not a single Belmont managed to beat Dracula until Trevor. They only got better with time. Christopher and Simon did it twice, Juste did it prematurely, Richter did it once, and Julius beat Dracula so hard that he had to reincarnate as a Japanese kid.
@@Emberson-9000he means the Belmonts BEFORE Trevor. They had to be pretty powerful and the main reason these vampire generals are so scared of them. Some of them maybe even fought or had family killed by Belmonts.

Woul have been cool if Trevor was the one killing him but well, he at least survived Dracula's encounter. Which was disappointing when you know the games and he was the one who whipped him to hell, not Alucard.

So did she forget about the Belmont boy in season three of Castlevania or did i miss something. Because they're planning on expanding, I'd think it would be best for her and the others to look for the Belmont and kill him before he kills them.
Maybe when she got back home she felt like she didn't have to worry about Belmont since she's back in her element, plus trevor, sypha and alucard were hunting Dracula who is now dead, so I think she believes that they won't hunt her down.

I almost wish Godbrand had actually said this - it would have fleshed him out a little bit more and solidified his place in the council (basically showing us that he's there for a REASON, and that he's NOT just some regular ass vampire that's just there because plot demands it). Godbrand actually was the first to figure out Dracula was trying to kill himself and the rest of the vampires too, so this is actually within his character to have realized as well.

I love how they talked about the Belmont like they are a whole another species entirely.
She might be the only one with any common sense. She knew how dangerous a Belmont was and was willing to acknowledge their deadliness while the others did not. On top of that the way she says they should be extinct implies that she doesn’t see them like prey but like a predator that is coming for the vampires

Trevor was NOT in his best shape when they marched into Draculas Castle and fought the Council but hell did Carmilla have a solid reason to panic for the existence of a single Belmont since no matter if he had help or not
Even a rusty Belmont is a bigger threat than any of the armed soldiers the vampires have met yet

Interesting. Most humans are 'livestock' yet Carmilla said "A Belmonte? I thought they were extinct?" - noticably phrased like her and other Vampires consider the Belmontes to be a species of their own, seperate from the rest of Humanity.
To be fair to Carmilla, she absolutely does have a better war council than Dracula. Sure, Dracula has Isaac. But like that's literally it. All the vampires were fucking greedy imbeciles and were of no help. Meanwhile the other three of the vampire sisters in Styria were all exceptionally talented, and knew how to divide the labor efficiently. Though to be fair to Dracula I'm sure he didn't really care.
