I like how the bartender is just so used to vampires starting fights in his bar that his only response is more annoyance than terror
It was the "Oh, not another one." moment that had me laughing.
I think business owners are so use to vampires they are much more worried about property damage than their lives.
His insurance must have taken a toll
Literally and the way he hid under the shelf thingy means that he’s just annoyed by it like he doesn’t even care anymore 😭
Yeah
I love how each Belmont have their own fighting style with the whip, Trevor was agile and acrobatic, Juste wields it gracefully and elegantly, almost as if he's dancing, Julia was practical and precise, nothing about fighting pretty just pure profesionalism, and Richter wields it with the confidence and energy of a young man who thinks himself unbeatable. Man, if Simon eventually shows up one day I hope they go for his conan the barbarian design so he can be a savage with that thing.
Yeah I noticed Richter doesn't use Trevor's more asian inspired technique to the whip and has more of a brashness to his style.
Richter uses it like a dumbass
@@prideofasia99makes sense considering richter is the best Belmont when it comes to martial arts
Yes, Simon would probably just brutalize his enemies, meeting him would probably be like meeting Guts. A monster of man.
@sammchanon Simon's style would be like Kratos.
Even after after losing his wife, his friend and his own daughter, even after being beaten down so badly, even as an old man, Juste Belmont still wields the vampire killer like a badass.
That Belmont training must be hardcore.
That's not morning star whip where is morning star whip that thing causes vampire to explode
Does Vampirekiller even exist in this "adaptation"? I've yet seen or heard _anything_ that suggests Sara Trantoul's soul inhabits any of the whips wielded by the Belmonts.
@@MuhammadHamza-fi1lb It may not be the Morning Star, but it is the Vampire Killer whip, the magical Whip of the Belmonts that only a Belmont can use.
If you know about it, you'd understand that it is also a powerful weapon. Remember that Trevor used it with the Morning Star and both Whips lit up in fire, killing a giant demon. The Vampire Killer is the Belmonts symbol weapon, and th is Morning Star is sort of like an Upgrade that could be used in Tandem.
Juste even mentioned on the show that the Whip is very heavy and we know he meant it both physically as well as spiritually due to the Belmont obligation.
@EternalRoman Where's the morning star whip then? Do the descendants of Simon have it?
I literally gasped. I never thought I'd ever see Juste again. Nobody ever talks about Harmony of Dissonance, but it was my first Castlevania game, and playing as Juste made me fall in love with the series. Seeing my hero again after over 20 years, even in his beaten down state, is such a gift.
That was a great game Juste and Simon always been my favorite 2
Hoping netflix make some Castlevani series including Simon, Juste, Julius and Soma Cruz timeline
@dlarego1984 I never played the Soma Cruz games need to look for those soon

The barkeeper being annoyed instead of terrified should have been a warning sign to the vampire.
Trying to be a "tough guy" makes guys stupid. He had to learn the hard way.
"Not another one" suggests a noodle incident happening at least once before with vampires.
This man is living history, Juste is the grandson of Simon Belmont himself and probably even got to meet him, and as he said the most powerful sorcerer the clan has ever produced, as he should, at least until Richter and Julius, man, Juste and Christopher may be the most underrated Belmonts in the whole franchise, I literally cried the moment he started wielding the whip
Richter and Julius were never sorcerers tho. As far as I remember, Juste was the only playable Belmont sorcerer. Richter and Julius were traditional Belmonts. The Morrises used non-Belmont tactics but still were not sorcerers.

Notice the shadow trail when Juste walks, a nod to his GBA appearance. I think he's the only Belmont who does that, and it derives from the original GBA lack of backlight. The strong colors and shadow trail was to make it easier on the eyes than the previous entry, Circle of the Moon that was criticized for it's dark and hard to see visuals. (And probably also to resemble the animation of Alucard from Symphony of the Night, even if the shadows don't make much sense for a human, not even for a Belmont)
I think Julius also has that when performing Omnia Vanitas.
Richter was the original Belmont to have that effect in symphony of the night when he would sprint
Circle of Moon is actually my first Castlevania Game that actually got me into Castlevania Franchise
Igarashi probably added the effect to make Juste's sprite as "cool" as Alucard's.
@@javiervasquez625he was heavily involved in SotN so it makes sense
0:47 I love the implication that other vampires have come and Juste has killed them with his bare hands since he only now was able to grab the whip off Richter.
"I was going to beat you to death but luckily for you I have the vampire killer."
For a Belmont, It's quite unprofessional of Richter to let his guard down about the Belmont's best friend, his whip.
He still young and inexperienced. Since, his mom died and he had no other living relatives until now, he most likely was self taught in his training.
Trevor would be disappointed.
@@maxmetropolis8518 Trevor would be too busy being drunk if he was in the tavern to care.
@@TLACY606 You'd think being young and inexperienced means he'd be a bit more paranoid, not dumb as a deer in headlights. Hopefully the new DMC also doesn't fuck Dante like with Richter
Simon would be slapping Ricther on his bum and yell at him to get back in the gym.
Oh. My. God. I’m having literal tears. Juste is so easily overlooked yet he was one of the most bad assed Belmonts to ever wield the whip.
Just a shame that his first moment is his best. Here I was expecting the rest of the episode to involve Juste teaching Richter magic. As you can imagine, I'm pretty deflated we didn't get that.
@@stoheha He's not dead so I'm hoping we can see more of him in future seasons. You just don't bring a character like that for 5-6 minutes
I have a strong feeling Juste will return in his original glory later in the series@@stoheha
I teared up too. I can't believe it's him. He deserves this.
@@stohehaI felt the exact same after we didn't get to see how much of a badass he is.But it's evident the writers want to portray him as a broken man who lost his way due to the suffering and long life he's lived. It's not that he isn't amazing, but he lost all reasons to fight and simply has no one. But now that his grandson found his way with his magic, hopefully Juste can as well, even as an old man and can help look after his grandson and regain his magic abilities the way he talked about himself in the past using his powers.
Randomly meeting eachother in a bar is the most Belmont thing ever
I know people were hoping that Juste would show up or at least be mentioned, but I didn’t actually expect him to appear.
Not gonna lie, man. When I saw his design, I thought he was just Saint-Germain-having returned somehow. But the moment I saw him hold the whip, the afterimage trailing behind him, and the build-up of the presence he has, I changed my tune entirely.
Harmony of Dissonance is a rather underrated title and one I didn't play, so him being Juste didn't register immediately. But man, did it hit like an entire sack of bricks when it did finally register
I thought the same at first. That they were pulling infinite corridor shenanigans and this was a Germaine immediately after losing his love so down and out and dumped in a time he didn’t know. Richter would be the first Belmont he meets and inspires him.
This is equally as pleasing though!
Saint Germain probably tag along with Sundowner.
I thought it was Saint-Germain too
The infinite corridor doesn’t move through time right? Just space and dimensions
This was my exact thought as well
Definitely one of the greatest Belmonts. The others were strong, but Juste was damn magical. It's a shame he never got to actually fight "Dracula" in the traditional sense, because I'm sure it would have been hella awesome. Julius was a legend, Richtor is a badass, Trevor and Simon are on a different level. But Juste? Juste is just incredible.
Also, I'm pretty damn bias. Harmony of Dissonance was my first game lol.
outside of christopher, simon is the only one to solo dracula and once while deathly ill
And Richter’s mother and Juste’s daughter, Julia (the OC character for Richter’s childhood tragedy) is an another Belmont didn’t get to fight Dracula as well.
Juste is the only Belmont that surpasses Sypha's magic with his unique spell fusion technique.

Also, I guess every Belmont finds their way to the bar at some point.

Juste deserves his own series... He was done dirty in this!
In his own words which are FACTS the most OP MAGIC USER the Bellemont's have ever produced who barely needed the whip!
Also, where's the Morning Star?
Trevor left it on the ground when he used the dagger to kill death in the infinite corridor, since he was not holding it when st. germain teleported him out it was either lost there forever or could be in another time period.
He can still get his own season. This is just old him. They can adapt Harmony of Dissonance anyway. I mean, his adventure happened and Maxim and Lydie are mentioned.
juste does deserve his own series, he was done dirty, he's the most OP magic user the Belmonts have ever produced, hardly needing the whip. as for the Morning Star, it's a powerful weapon in the Castlevania series, usually the highest form of the Vampire Killer whip.
He wasn't done dirty, he is just old and kinda cynical. Everyone gets old and Juste lived a tough life, it makes sense.
Would like to see Richter get the morning star in season 2 similar with trevor he would be the iconic badass Richter with the chain whip we know from the old games
Love that little flicker effect as Juste walks forward, as in the games.

I doubt that they will making series with Simon as main protagonist, if so. Then they will altered his story since there's few characters connected with him.
I love how Juste just needed a few warm up whips with the old family weapon to see if his old bones still have it in them to do so and then just proceeds to 1-2 the vamp like it’s just another Tuesday for him, also love how the bartender just rolls his eyes annoyingly saying “ah fuck me another one off the wankers” and just slides down to cover his ass!

I said, "He looks important... Wait. If that is Juste Belmont, I will lose my shit."
I then proceeded to lose my shit.
1:09 man his iconic growl whenever he jumps or fights, a little detail that the fans of the game so love and remember
My jaw genuinely hit the floor, not just because of seeing Juste which I never thought would happen since Harmony of Dissonance is so obscure among the franchise, not just because they directly reference the events of that game, but also because timeline wise it actually makes so much sense that Juste is here, since the events of Harmony took place in 1748 and Nocturne is in 1792
It is interesting how humans and vampires managed to coexist in a way that monsters and vampires are completely normal on Earth. There were vampire commoners when we saw the crowd alongside human commoners.
Welcome home Juste Belmont!!! Good to see you again GBA Belmont!
When I saw this I was really excited, I grew up playing harmony of dissonance and juste is honestly my favorite Belmont
Damn Trevor's grandkid is as gritty as him
These are his descendants. This is 300+ years after Trevor’s story.
Juste's voice is so familiar and I've been wracking my brain trying to think who it is. It just hit me that it's Jorah Mormont from Game of Thrones.
