If only Konami gave IGA that chance to complete the circle. Only thing we can do now is wait for something happen like Konami selling the Intellectual Property Rights and IGA manage to get it in some sort of bid. Now we can be given a guarantee it will finally come true. He might make a cross over between Castlevania and Bloodstained if that comes to pass.
SnakeHiggins I would definitely love to see the Battle of 1999, a 19 year old Julius, the badassery of Alucard, the Belnades clan and the Hakuba Clan, my question is Handheld or on an actual console?
Since the netflix series has revitalized interest in the franchise I think a remake of the classic platformers would be cool. Maybe like a 3ed person adventure game?
The relationship between the Belnades and the Belmonts is very straight forward, Bernhard (as in Walter Bernhard), Belnades (as in every Belnades throughout the timeline) and Fernandez (yes Fernandez, if you wanna put Castlevania64 in the time line) are the same familly the difference is how it was translated from the Japanese. They are all decendants of Walter Bernhard the evil vampire who turned Sara, Lion's betrothed, into a night creture allowing the creation of the vapire killer. Some time later, Trevor the great son (more or less) of Leon have a son with Silpha Belnades (Descendant of Walter) And then the Belmonts and the Belnades intertwined (if you know what I mean). So Simon is actually Simon Belmont Belnades, and then a couple of hundreds of years later, when Richter meets Maria they are actually blood related, they are cousins on some degree, they are even related to Dracula's soul if you take under account that the soul that Mathias stole using the crimson stone, was the soul of the First Belnades.
The best example of a Belmont showing his Belnades lineage as well is Juste. Dude gets magical tomes & casts awesome spells. Some people say that his blue aura signals his Belnades roots. However, I'm really surprised by the way his name was pronounced in this video. I had been pronouncing it Jus-tay.
Konami should work out some sort of lucrative deal with a third party if they’re gonna be this lazy. Let them do whatever they want with the series but in exchange Konami takes 30% of the profits or something.
Julius might not have been able to defeat Dario, but it was mentioned in the game he was able to slay all the other monsters he fought against without the use of using a seal. Soma mentions doing so should've been impossible.
I liked the story where Alucard and Sonia Belmonts have kids & all the Belmonts you play latter in game are great(x) grand kids killing their grand daddy Dracula. .
Can we have timestamps for each Belmont, please? Edit: I am thinking of making one right now - including their birth years...be right back. (I also included the Morris', as well.) @0:49 Leon Belmont (Born: 1072) @3:56 Trevor Belmont (Born: 1456) @6:52 Christopher Belmont (Born: unknown; 16th century) @7:42 Soleiyu Belmont (Born: 1576) @8:25 Simon Belmont (Born: 1669) @9:46 Juste Belmont (Born: 1730) @10:55 Richter Belmont (Born: 1773) @13:27 The Morris Era @13:41 Quincy Morris (Born: unknown) @13:52 John Morris (Born: December 12, 1895) @14:35 Jonathan Morris (Born: 1926) @15:14 Julius Belmont (Born: 1980)
The possible, plausible speculation on why Richter gave up the legendary whip was that he cursed both his and any part of the Belmont blood line from ever touching the Vampire Killer (without it now causing harm to the wielder), via him being cursed by Shaft to act as the lord of Dracula's castle that Alucard and Maria discovered in SOTN.
Soma is Mathias Cronqvist reincarnated,Mina is Elizabetha and Julius is Leon. At least this time Darkness was contained and the soul of a innocent wasn't tortured.
Soma I believe because it’s confirmed in-game. The rest are just theories and rumours. Julius is just Leon’s descendant and there’s nothing really special about Elizabetha so I highly doubt she was reincarnated ever.
I do have to say i like Lord of Shadows‘ Belmont treeline (and Dracula‘s origin story in that matter) more than the original one. For one, Dracula is actually far more epic than the original and his connection to the Belmonts is actually far deeper than „he is the former friend of a Belmont who turned Evil“. *Gabriel Belmont* is the first Belmont you follow who tries to defeat the forces of Evil. He is also „God‘s chosen one“. After defeating *Satan* (yep, *THE* Satan) he then ventured to the Chaos Realm (if i remember correctly) and from there became *Dracula,* prince of Darkness. So the first Belmont that managed to defeat the greatest Evil became then the main Antagonist of the series. And thr *coolest* part is, Gabriel is technically still God‘s chosen one, meaning that he can also withstand the power of light and Holy Weapons. In fact, the only way Dracula was „defeated“ was when the Holy Cross Whip was rammed into his heart and left there. If the cross is being removed, his Body will regenerate, meaning that Dracula is pretty much immortal. Gabriel‘s son is *Trevor Belmont.* He was given the Quest to kill Gabriel after he became the Lord of Darkness with the same weapon Gabriel used to kill Satan. Yet, in the battle, Trevor was killed by Dracula. But in the final moments, Dracula found out Trevor is his son. So in a desperate actuon to keep his son Alive, he turned him into a Vampire too. Dracula‘s son, *Alucard.* After Trevor failed and turned into Alucard, the world thought every hope was lost as Dracula‘s power rise more and more. Skip many years later and Trevor‘s son became a strong and adult warrior. His name, *Simon Belmont.* Simon, just like his father, took the holy Cross Whip and marched on to defeat Dracula. And with the help of Alucard, he became the first Belmont that managed to defeat Dracula, making the Belmonts a true Monster Hunting name. Simon also never knew Dracula (Gabriel) and Alucard (Trevor) are his Father and Grandfather. He thought both just died.
The more side branches the Belmonts have the more it seems that they... got around... Also the Belnades are apparently meant to be Trevor's descendants as well but some took the Belmont name and others the Belnades name. Or at least thats what I remember right now.
I mean we are talking about hundreds and hundreds of years here. As long as someone along the line had more than one kid there's going to be side branches of the family tree that aren't in the line of vampire killer succession.
What can ya say when dealing with supernatural evil of the highest order it pays to have lots of contigincy plans heck it wouldn't surprise me they were number 2 in lineage behind ghengis
@@caridadchang7895 If you take into account how populations work in the real world, there shouldn't be too many people in mainland Europe who are NOT descendants of Leon by 1999.
Gabriel is my favourite Belmont overall, his story is just amazing and cool. But with the canon universe I'll have to go with Trevor, Leon, Richter, and Julius in that order. Trevor because of the anime, Leon because he's the start, Richter because of the upcoming anime, and Julius because he's (said to be) the strongest.
While I was watching this i just got a notification that Man at Arms Reforged is coming back..their first new project? Alucard's sword from the Castlevania Netflix series..talk about timing!
I think Richter handed over the vampire killer to the Morris family because of a prophecy stating the Belmont’s must wait until Dracula’s resurrection in 1999 in order to truly defeat him. Something like that, I’m probably missing details.
Just played Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Was the most fun I had with a Castlevania like in a long time. It even had a secret level hidden behind 2 secret walls that beckons back the classic’s
“We can only guess as to why.” 13:02 I don’t know why everyone misses this. It’s literally spelled out in Order of Ecclesia and Portrait of Ruin. The Belmonts went into hiding and gave up the Vampire Killer because Richter’s incident in Symphony of the Night proved that the Belmonts were now mentally vulnerable to the evil they fight. Thus, they needed the next two hundred years to recover quietly in order to prepare for the final showdown in 1999. If one of Dracula’s minions could corrupt a Belmont into doing their bidding, then humanity would stand no chance against Dracula.
I remember reading somewhere that actually Julius never married and never got an heir, due to being to young when fighting Drácula and being trapped in the castle all those years, Julius might actually be the last Belmont
What about the part where Simon had to get 3 bonus icons to appear on the reels to enter bonus mode then fill the screen with his own face to get the jackpot.... in order to defeat dracula
I didn’t use the Pie, I used the Nebula whip, it was just long enough to stay out of reach, and it would slightly home in on Richter, it was pretty easy.
I don’t know how my suggestion warrants the title of hipster, I merely offered an alternative strategy to beating Richter one which may prove as useful to some as yours.
really cool video, dude! i played (and i am a fan of CV since ) the first CV on NES 1991 when i was 11 years old.nice to see the family tree made really good like you did 👍
11:20 Maria Renard eh? Another Belmont, but under a different surname thanks to the wide family tree, sounds pretty epic to me, having a distant relative vampire hunter help you save your fiance. Family goals.
When I first got Castlevania 3 when I was a kid, I remember reading the introduction manual, and it said Trevor was Simon’s grandfather and gaming magazine saying the same thing. I guess the continuity must have changed over time.

Let me introduce myself
In a way the Belmont and Belnades clan are distantly related right due to Trevor and Sypha getting married
So Julius was born in 1980, which means by the time of this video in reality, he'd be 39 years old. Interesting...
And still in his prime too.
And Amnesiac. Don't forget amnesiac.
And with a ponytail. Don't forget the ponytail.
We got a new Contra coming...Now we need Castlevania: War of 1999.
We really do need one for 1999. That would make the whole entire story come together and make a lot more sense, since there is still a slight gap on what happened in between.

5:37 This is partially incorrect. Hector did not fight against Dracula in 'the war' after he defected. He went into hiding.
Since the netflix series has revitalized interest in the franchise I think a remake of the classic platformers would be cool. Maybe like a 3ed person adventure game?
They already did that with Castlevania 64, Legacy of Darkness, Lament of Innocence, and Curse of Darkness. Not to mention the Lords of Shadow games.
@prof.laytonfan764 yeah but a more modern remake. Imagine a souls-like castlevania. Vampyr would be a good example

@@R0G3L10-CS I have. I just think there's potential for something more
The relationship between the Belnades and the Belmonts is very straight forward, Bernhard (as in Walter Bernhard), Belnades (as in every Belnades throughout the timeline) and Fernandez (yes Fernandez, if you wanna put Castlevania64 in the time line) are the same familly the difference is how it was translated from the Japanese.

The Belmont are like the Joestar of video games
More like the Joestars are the Belmonts of anime
Julius might not have been able to defeat Dario, but it was mentioned in the game he was able to slay all the other monsters he fought against without the use of using a seal. Soma mentions doing so should've been impossible.

@13:52 John Morris (Born: December 12, 1895)
@14:35 Jonathan Morris (Born: 1926)
@15:14 Julius Belmont (Born: 1980)
Tbh, I like Gabriel Belmont lineage too (Castlevania reboot). His tragic descent is just as fitting to earn Dracula The Dragon title.
I agree. Kinda prefer that timeline
Yeah its more fitting and tragic I think
Soma is Mathias Cronqvist reincarnated,Mina is Elizabetha and Julius is Leon.
At least this time Darkness was contained and the soul of a innocent wasn't tortured.
Graham Jones is Joachim Armster.
@@HsienKoMeiLingFormerYANG That or he could be Walter Bernhard.
Only the part about Soma being Mathias is cannon...the rest is speculation.
@@Brucifer2 I remember that there was an interview with Igarashi once where he implied that Lisa was the reincarnation of Elisabetha.
Soma I believe because it’s confirmed in-game. The rest are just theories and rumours.
Julius is just Leon’s descendant and there’s nothing really special about Elizabetha so I highly doubt she was reincarnated ever.
Belmont Family: *exist*

Order of Ecclesia's town people in Wygol Village are Belmont Descendants. It's why they were kidnapped
Dracula‘s son, *Alucard.*
After Trevor failed and turned into Alucard, the world thought every hope was lost as Dracula‘s power rise more and more.
I also love Lords of shadow. I have yet to play the second one.
@@CoyoteXLI oh I'm aware. But the fact so many people are Belmont by blood but not by name is still kinda funny

Richter 's reason for his disappearance.
Richter: I don't wanna keep fighting monsters anymore....Momma i'm tired.
Dracula- revives*
Belmonts- And who said you could do that without our permission?
I think Richter handed over the vampire killer to the Morris family because of a prophecy stating the Belmont’s must wait until Dracula’s resurrection in 1999 in order to truly defeat him. Something like that, I’m probably missing details.

“We can only guess as to why.” 13:02
I don’t know why everyone misses this.
But maybe if Curtis hadn't died he will be his sucessor

Every vampire is gangsta till they hear the name Belmont

So is she like... a Belmont with a different last name or is she a descendant of a relative of Sypha or what??
Sypha married Trevor Belmont so she became Sypha Belmont...!!
Trevor and sypha could have had multiple kids. And one line just continued using the Belnades name
I assume the Aulin clan is just, the Morris of the Belnades clan, some sort of branch off the Belnades clan
The only Leaderboard Castlevania video that doesn't suck. To be fair it would be very hard to fuck this up but still, good job!

Konami take this note right now..
When I first got Castlevania 3 when I was a kid, I remember reading the introduction manual, and it said Trevor was Simon’s grandfather and gaming magazine saying the same thing. I guess the continuity must have changed over time.
