Is anyone else getting Azula and Zuko vibes from their last Agni Kai? One person going all out and slowly losing it, while the other remains calm and collected with focused, polished attacks.
Kind of, but not quite. I think the main difference is that Isaac has always been a tactician when it comes to combat. I think if Isaac chose to fight Carmilla early in the series, it would probably look the same.
Even though she lost, Carmilla's battle skills are impressive AF. If Issac came after her without wearing her down first, those night creatures wouldn't have made a difference. I love both characters, but this win was definitely circumstantial. 👌 Fantasic animation, though!
shit she's a vampire with superhuman strength and speed. its crazy enough that Isaac was even able to hold his own against her with the help of his demons. especially considering all he has is a dinky little dagger against her sword.
Isaac knew that even with his Night Creatures-he was facing a very formidable opponent who was cornered, since the only way out for Carmilla was to fight. Isaac wisely avoided trying to seek out a coup de' main for most of the fight and concentrated on fighting Carmilla "asymmetrically". Using the Night Creatures plus his own blade to keep getting nucsiance hits in on Carmilla. Trying to fight-Carmilla head on and simply overpower her was dubious-even for the strongest Night Creatures. The emphasis was on wearing her down and surviving her big bag of Vampire Tricks because with every attempt she failed to kill Isaac she became more and more reckless... Isaac knew Carmilla's greatest weakness was her arrogance. The contempt that she held him in-a human and a mortal-made her habitually unable to "play it safe" during the fight and try to simply avoid Isaac and concentrate on wiping out his Night Creature Entourage first-then going for him last. Carmilla's impatience and frustration led to an increasing number of mistakes as she constantly overcommits to Hay Makers against Isaac that miss thanks to interference from the Night Creatures and Carmilla's own impatience. She's so single minded about killing Isaac that she takes her attention off his Monsters too much during the fight and the Night Creatures are thus able to dive in and land hit after hit at no risk to Isaac until Carmilla finally makes a big mistake too close to Isaac-who does not fail to seize the opportunity. From 1:49 on Carmilla is crippled. She is definitely going to die. She can still fight but only to delay the inevitable and vent more frustration. Winning is completely beyond her now and they both knew it; with every minute she will weaken rapidly until totally defenseless, and Isaac still has plenty of Night Creatures to hide behind. There is no hope. In Carmilla's twisted world of course, losing to a human let alone dying to one was unacceptable. So instead, she chooses to ice herself, in the ultimate rage quit...
See I have to disagree there. Isaac's armies was thousands strong, there was no way Carmilla could kill all of them before she succumbed to exhaustion. Her only chance was to take out Isaac and to do it quickly.
I think it's because he wasn't just Fodder. The majority of them Isaac threw at her to wear her down, but Abel's mission seemed to be, "protect Isaac" so he did just enough to keep Isaac safe and support him.
It's his main "innocent devil" from castlevania curse of darkness. they brought in his signature buddy in the show to show his mastery and it's amazing.
Love how much this fight straddles the line to feel like a video game. Carmilla makes a ton of grunts and goes through attack phases as her HP goes down, but it still is clearly a tv scene. Really brilliantly directed.
What people forget is that the Night Creatures are technically under Isaacs control, but Isaac began to bond with them and treat them with respect. He allowed them to think and communicate. That bond saved his life.
As someone who hated Carmilla, this was such a satisfying sequence: watching her lose everything she worked/used people for/schemed towards and get cut up until she came to the realization that she was going to die and her last words were interrupted.
Yeah I was just waiting for her to die It was so cathartic seeing all her ego and flair do nothing to help her against someone who could actually strategize
She was also a really fun villain, though, so watching her hulk out and slaughter the night creatures en masse was extremely cool. Satisfying in both the journey and the destination.
@@erin9322 Gonna have to agree to disagree on that one. @@maxkogan3785 Eh, you're allowed to disagree with me. I don't think Carmilla would have gotten the screen time/Season 4 boss status that she did if she weren't popular, and I know a lot of people who also loved to hate her, but art is allowed to mean different things to different people. =)
Carmilla was a powerful character in this show but like every strong character in this series, they're balanced out by their emotions and perceptions. This and the fight against Dracula are perfect examples of how fights are not just physical but also mental. No fight in this show was won with strength and power alone and that's why I love it.
I know this fight scene was unreal, but major kudos to the voice actors. I come back to this fight scene occasionally to enjoy the artistry all around.
They should have upped the fps a bit though , western animation has this habit of greatly dropping frames , even though anime also does this , it s not to the same extent and it s masked by other animation techniques , you will almost never notice the frame drops in anime but here it s really jarring , it s even worse in Nocturne. Also this fight looks almost as if it s done by Ufotable , just google some of Lancer s fights in fate or the Gyutaro fight in demon slayer , notice there are no fps drops or at least no noticeable ones
I love how Isaac is just a normal human. His only magic is his dagger which I imagine deals some sort of magical damage and makes demons out of corpses. It doesn’t enhance his fighting ability, he still has to land the hits himself.
listen the moment that first night creature blocked that kick to protect issac...i KNEW how this ended. The night creatures have evolved over the seasons however NONE are comparable to issac's control over his and their strength together. This was simply amazing to watch but sad it is over.
Carmilla is such a fascinating fighter to watch. Perhaps if she truly fought for her life, rather than her pride and lust for power, she might have won, or at least taken more of Isaac’s army out before she shattered, herself. Watch carefully how she makes war- Her blows possess power and grace in spades, but there is a sort of thrashing chaos to the actual moment of their execution. Carmilla fights like an angry child, as much as she fights like a seasoned warrior, monster, and ruler. Even at his lowest, Dracula’s blows entirely lacked that messiness. If she’d actually fully committed that sharp, psychopathic little mind of hers to mastering physical combat, maybe even bothered to respect and acknowledge Dracula long enough to learn from him, I wonder how much better she would have fared? So sad that a woman with so much potential let trauma and bitterness and obsession sour and destroy her to the point of disintegrating into a glorified, psychotic, tantruming meltdown in what could have been her prime as Vampire royalty. Castlevania has a great aptitude for making powerful, monstrous characters come across as very pitiful and tragic.
This is how a boss fight with minions in shows should be! Not a slogish one after another fight. Every minion was running in and going for attacks and overwhelming Carmilla and protecting their commander at the same time. Amazing fight.
Carmilla lost all dignity in a single fight, not only was she bested by everything she hated - human and a man in particular, but she also started blindly flailing her weapon like some wounded animal, proving that she was in fact just a very ravenous animal that lives solely to feed on others. Isaac straight up dominated her by matching her speed while merely a human and beat her in fencing proving she relies on strength alone and has no technique.
She was worn out by fighting demons without end, Isaac was saved dozens of times with every blow a night creature took he would be finished from. What are you even talking about? He overpowered her with dozens and hundreds of creatures, would this be a one on one he would have lost within seconds get a hold of your fanboyism.
@@FelixS.Sure but he is also human if she was human she would have been dead in seconds the only reason she even lasted longer then a few seconds is because of her power is her being a vampire she didn't earn her power it was given to her any fight against a vampire is unfair because of how insanely powerful they are just simply for existing
*Carmilla did the equivalent of flipping the Monopoly board and declaring herself the winner when half her stuff was mortgaged and Issac was chilling with Hotels from Kentucky Avenue to Boardwalk.*

@@abongilezolanipeterson5588 This is a woke show. Carmilla would've curbed any Dracula easily. She's a raging feminist. Of course she would. He's a white man, she's an oppressed white woman. Because in woke ideology, only black men are above white women. You're using reason and logic. That's a mistake when you're running an autopsy on a Netflix production. You should use a political lens, not a realistic one.
Carmilla was scarier than Dracula in many ways but I love that she was a badass even to the very end. I also really loved the way they gave Isaac such a spot light because his character development was amazing and this was such a good finalization

Anyone else see the symbolism when Big K goes all cavitation blood buuble on Isaac? F*** I love these two legends. Also Alucard went quick like that against Dracula
I know the winged boi is the MVP but can we talk about how Issac and his night creatures are perfectly in sync with no pre plan we see? Throughout the series he tells them loosely what to do"bring me their bodies" "I don't need the bodies, you can feast." "Wait here. In peace." But here? He doesn't tell them what to do. He simply trusts them and they work as an extension of his body in this battle rather than just a slavering horde of demons like usual. It shows his mental state in a way. He was chaotic and without guidance and in this precise moment, Issac knows who he is and what he must do. Therefore so do the night creatures that follow his will.
My ultimate goal in life is to be as unbothered as Isaac. I don’t think this man ever broke a sweat in his adult life, even while fighting a powerful vampire in a pool of blood 😮💨
OMG at 1:29 I just noticed that Carmilla used the Black Panther skill the same one used in Dawn of Sorrow. Maan this series is the greatest, it paid various homages and easter eggs to the original. This is why I love the Netflix adaptation of Castlevania.
She could have drank any of that blood to regenerate before Issac hit her with his special blade but she would rather fight and die with her pride intact, I found her to be an interesting character.
I’m not so sure about that. A lot of vampire lore mentions that drinking the blood of the dead or the sick is actually poisonous to vampires. Night creatures are made from dead things so even if their blood isn’t poisonous to her it would make sense that it wouldn’t do anything for her if she drank it.
That winged demon was MVP. Constantly read Carmillas attacks and kept Isaac alive

Is anyone else getting Azula and Zuko vibes from their last Agni Kai? One person going all out and slowly losing it, while the other remains calm and collected with focused, polished attacks.
Yeah it does give a similar vibe
Kind of, but not quite. I think the main difference is that Isaac has always been a tactician when it comes to combat. I think if Isaac chose to fight Carmilla early in the series, it would probably look the same.
It's funny, just yesterday I reviewed the fight of Zuko and Azula, and now I see this comment :)
when i was watching this i just called her azula literally one to one comparison
Not at all that fight served an important theme about the siblings this scene is just isaac finishing his arc
Even though she lost, Carmilla's battle skills are impressive AF. If Issac came after her without wearing her down first, those night creatures wouldn't have made a difference. I love both characters, but this win was definitely circumstantial. 👌 Fantasic animation, though!
precisely
big brain isaac
And she was wearing heels
shit she's a vampire with superhuman strength and speed. its crazy enough that Isaac was even able to hold his own against her with the help of his demons. especially considering all he has is a dinky little dagger against her sword.
@@simonphoenix3789 At least his dagger is enchanted. If it was at least a short sword then it’d be even better
Man this nightcreature is savage. Others got destroyed but he stand against Carmilla.
Its abel
I think it's because he wasn't just Fodder. The majority of them Isaac threw at her to wear her down, but Abel's mission seemed to be, "protect Isaac" so he did just enough to keep Isaac safe and support him.
He would of been destroyed by carmilla 1v1
It's his main "innocent devil" from castlevania curse of darkness. they brought in his signature buddy in the show to show his mastery and it's amazing.
@@botchedbyjeffreyjumaily4065 if she wasn't a vampire she would get destroyed by Issac 1v1.
Quite possibly one of the best animated fights I have ever watched.
Love how much this fight straddles the line to feel like a video game. Carmilla makes a ton of grunts and goes through attack phases as her HP goes down, but it still is clearly a tv scene. Really brilliantly directed.
It was Isaac himself who said "Don't confuse the power of a Forgemaster with that of an ordinary sorcerer."
I find her pretty boring and what frustrated at the fact that all of her siblings were more interesting and competent than she was, yet for some reason she was sin charge and getting all of the importance. I'm seriously Striga returns for Nocturne. That would be awesome.
The way the winged night creature and Isaac knew exactly what the other one was doing is masterful.
Not going to lie, as cool as this fight was the fact that no one slipped in the significant pool of blood is absurd.
And carmilla doing this shit in heels
@@gorb688 "Vampire Shenanigans" is what you call it
Don't think that's an issue for beings with this level of skill. A clumsy vampire? 😆
They did so well with this animation. The colour design is amazing.
I know this fight scene was unreal, but major kudos to the voice actors.
I come back to this fight scene occasionally to enjoy the artistry all around.
I like this way more than typical anime fights, they are still good but this is just outstanding for me
Even though it’s not technically anime
It was is innocent devil abel, look at his face.. Its like isaac stand. the ultimate monster created by forgemaster using his magic and part of him
I wonder what body/host he used to create that innocent devil. He is pretty unique. Don’t know if it matters what body he use to create him tho
And the way he fought in perfect tandem with them was amazing to watch. I love seeing things like that.
When I first saw this I was like what Isaac is gonna give her a fair one but was glad he didn't she would have killed him if he did
😂😂😂 the first kick would have done the job
@@khalinsumaila4692 yeah, if that kick would have landed, it would have splattered Isaac's brain all over the place.
I considerer it fair because he was using his skill as forgemaster to orchestrate the attacks just the way she was using her vampire powers
There's no such thing as a fair fight. Especially against an evil vampire Karen that wants to take over the world.
@@jackolantern147 😂💯
Absolutely stunning visuals. I was just in awe when I first watched it.
Just noticed that both Isaac and Carmilla are left handers! That or this may be a reverse picture. Great fight scene!
Lol or could be both
1 of the very few times an anime shows a fight without either outside interruptions (ending a fight) or cutaway back and forth
Love it
Carmilla lost all dignity in a single fight, not only was she bested by everything she hated - human and a man in particular, but she also started blindly flailing her weapon like some wounded animal, proving that she was in fact just a very ravenous animal that lives solely to feed on others.
Most satisfying Death & most Badass/Best Fight in the whole Series!
I love how he back the best jojo at the end of it all
*Carmilla did the equivalent of flipping the Monopoly board and declaring herself the winner when half her stuff was mortgaged and Issac was chilling with Hotels from Kentucky Avenue to Boardwalk.*
Isaac is so fucking GOATed in this series.
He has one of the greatest arcs in all of animation.
i love how abel is the only one of issacs monsters that is matching carmila in raw physical might
This scene is better animated than the fight between Trevor and Death
I love the fact that they gave Carmella the proper respect . She was a beast of a fighter. Probably one for strongest vampires . Give her a thousand years and she could have probably reached Dracula power level ( when he was starving )
@rexlecitak1 no she wouldn't have 😂

@abongilezolanipeterson5588 I don't know, man. She seemed pretty capable in this fight to the point I'd argue that in a 1 v 1 against blood-starved Dracula she could potentially hold out for awhile.
@@abongilezolanipeterson5588 This is a woke show. Carmilla would've curbed any Dracula easily. She's a raging feminist. Of course she would. He's a white man, she's an oppressed white woman. This is Netflix, buddy. When does a white man ever beat a white woman in a Netflix production? Why do you think they blackwashed Isaac and had him beating her? Because in woke ideology, only black men are above white women.
You're using reason and logic. That's a mistake when you're running an autopsy on a Netflix production. You should use a political lens, not a realistic one.
I wish we hadda chance to see more of Carmilla in action but I still loved what we got to see
1:29-1:40 one of the best rage moments I’ve ever seen from an anime in a while.
My man Isaac got a stand on his side 0:35
Beautifully choreographed fight from start to finish
Damn, Carmilla committed Samurai suicide out of frustration. She got tired of Isaac's nonsense LOL
I love how a lot of the fights end in a desperation/final attack just like in the games
I remember watching this and thought "maybe Dracula shouldnt have sent him to the desert"
Carmilla was scarier than Dracula in many ways but I love that she was a badass even to the very end. I also really loved the way they gave Isaac such a spot light because his character development was amazing and this was such a good finalization
Isaac was one of my favorite characters in this show.
I love the shot of four night creatures coming in and issac waving his knife. Almost like a general commanding his army
people are saying this fight wasn't fair like excuse me its literally 1v1 issac and his "magic" against carmilla and her vampire powers duh
Girl, wha-
Boa noite! Uma grande istoria, um dos melhores desenhos que já vi. A produção está de parabéns!!
Easily one of the greatest fights in anime
0:5 and 1:00 are by far my favourite two bits
One of my favourite fight scenes in the show you can’t top the trio killing fools but Isaac and his elite vs Carmilla is also top tier
Love how Isaac NEVER fights fair.... EVER!
The world isn't fair my friend. Just like those men Isaac killed in the desert.
I mean is any fight fair if the people battling each other don’t have the exact same skill set and equal power? A fight is basically never gonna be fair because one person is always gonna have an advantage depending on the situation
I mean, he’s against an ancient powerful vampire, of course it’s not going to be fair.
Não vejo uma cena como essa desde Kakashi vs Obito ficou MT foda
This fight kinda gives deidara vs sasuke vibes
Crazy choreography + self destruct at the end
I love her screams!!! She’s like Sindel from Mortal Kombat
Isaac have a nice [STAND] "It's the same tipe of stand like star platinum"
And now I have to watch this series again!……….. for the fifth time……. I think 😅
Gotta respect Carmilla for fighting in heels, that shit is not easy
Man I had to try on heels for a dare once and I fell down a stair case, she was fighting an army of hundreds in heels and on a slippery ass floor
CAMILLA:. "I win!!"
Sure, whatever makes eternity in hell more accommodating.
The best thing about being a devil forge master is you never fight alone
This was Carmilla vs that winged demon with a sidekick Isaac. 😆
I didn’t really like the dialogue throughout this anime but this boss fight and dialogue was so well done it is one of my favorite fight scenes in my anime history.
shes a villain, but not a pathetic one. she pulled a great fight against all odds.
Anyone else see the symbolism when Big K goes all cavitation blood buuble on Isaac? F*** I love these two legends. Also Alucard went quick like that against Dracula
This fight gives me Captain Unohana vibes when she uses her Bankai against Kenpachi.
I liked how there was no combat dialogue. Just the sounds of effort.
Unpopular Opinion: The winged demon named Abel is Isaac’s Stand and it definitely shows.
I need a friend like Abel
Thank you for making the fight last. I wanted to see her bleed
Damn man. Abel is a beast.
My ultimate goal in life is to be as unbothered as Isaac. I don’t think this man ever broke a sweat in his adult life, even while fighting a powerful vampire in a pool of blood 😮💨
he lived in the desert, the heat never bothered him 😂
Carmella went out like a G 😂😂
OMG at 1:29 I just noticed that Carmilla used the Black Panther skill the same one used in Dawn of Sorrow. Maan this series is the greatest, it paid various homages and easter eggs to the original. This is why I love the Netflix adaptation of Castlevania.
She could have drank any of that blood to regenerate before Issac hit her with his special blade but she would rather fight and die with her pride intact, I found her to be an interesting character.
Não acho que sangue demoníaco seja saudável para vampiros
I mean can she even drink night creature blood
@@ottokaare5925 Yes. She literally did it right before he walked in. She licked it off her hand.
@@TheStraightestWhitestdon’t they need human blood as sustenance though?
I’m not so sure about that. A lot of vampire lore mentions that drinking the blood of the dead or the sick is actually poisonous to vampires. Night creatures are made from dead things so even if their blood isn’t poisonous to her it would make sense that it wouldn’t do anything for her if she drank it.
I've yet to find ANY final fight/death scene that tops this, live action or animated. I get chills seeing Carmilla's power.
I cant help but laugh at the fact his demons are in attendance watching, its like "yeah our boss is hands on and leads from the front"
this fight was just SMT at the most action packed level
The whole show was great but my favorite parts are the ones with Isaac. “I’m not black ether” such an awesome story arc with him.
Isaac is the pinnacle of minion/summoner builds.
I love how you see Death for just a second when Carmilla stabs herself. He's been here the whole time....
Pretty sure that's just her skeleton as her flesh melted off.
She went out like a boss!
This series was sooooo good❤❤❤
