I bought this to use at work. Management likes to be sneaky and try and catch us on our phones in the control room. It gives us about a 10 second window to put our stuff away! 😂

We work the boring midnight shift and the manager use to sneak in. He doesn’t even see the sensor. We are tipped off when he’s 75’ coming towards us. Buy these when they go on sale.

Nice review. I combine these with a slightly more expensive model by 1byone. The 1byone has a 3rd alarm sound that screeches like ... well an alarm. The receiver uses C batteries like this one and the motion sensors use AAA's.
I thought, and it looks like the sensor detects motion on 170 degrees area, but it doesn't. This sensor only detects motion that happens on one line. (like a laser) Also, it uses 9V battery and C type battery, which is very unuseful. I think it works great if you are going to use this indoor, and set this in front of your door. It doesn't look like weatherproof.
I'm tired of being robbed by a late night trash picker so I'm installing a wireless security camera system, but I also want an alarm to wake me up when the jerk is in my driveway and backyard. I'm tired of replacing the propane tanks on my camper and metal yard items. I don't care if he goes through things I put at the curb but he's trespassing in my driveway and fenced backyard.I hope to put him in jail.
Just make sure you place the sending unit where it won't be waking you up for the neighbors cat. Thanks for watching!

Mine don't work strait out of the box. Tried new batteries and plugged it in the wall. The light comes on and stays on as soon as you turn it on. That's all it'll do.
I would return it to Harbor Freight asap, make sure you have the volume switch in position.
How long does the batterys last? Cold weather vs warm weather?
My first one lasted a couple years
Good review but I''m confused about buying two of these. What if I get them and they have the same channel? Is it just the luck of the draw? I'm looking forward to having one at least to know when someone is coming to my door. PS...Harbor Freight is doing a clearance. Is that because they're not selling well? Not sure if you would know . The Channel # is printed on a little dot on the outside of the package. HF always runs clearances! Don't forget your coupons!

Don't recommend cutting any wires to see either, unless you feel like buying another Unit.
Is there any way to hook into some warning system to send a push notification to your cell phone. My camera does, but every bug that flies in from of the security camera sets it off.
I believe those units exist, but not this one does not have that capability.
Pittsburgh Pap yea, I’ll have to hack into a window sensor that the driveway monitor receiver will trigger that alerts to devices via a push notification.
@@SirShoddrick I am sure "Ring" has something. Their whole product line is phone push. There are likely imitators of their tech. Xfinity may have something via wifi or Bluetooth. Of course there is always "I've fallen and can't get up" tech.
Pittsburgh Pap yea Ring and Nest are very “ proud “ of their products. I can accomplish the same for less.

I just bought 4ea of these, I had to return all four of them because they kept giving me false alarms. I really wanted these to work out but they were too unreliable for me to know if someone was there or not.Dont waste your money or time on these sensors.
They worked fine when I bought mine.. but things change. There are things that can cause false alarms such as wind, tree branches and such. Movement sets it off so there can be none in the mount or the target area.

i did put 3 white LED lights in the alarm...
cut off remove 3 red low LED lights...
how come american company dont make it their own wireless parking driveway patrol system...

Not bullet proof, but they can withstand a harsh verbal rebuke!
i want to use this in my roadside mailbox. does the alarm stay on until you shut it off? will the alarm go off when the mailman closes the mailbox...thus i don't know the mail has come unless i am within hearing distance? if that is the case, it would not help me know if the mail had been delivered. what do the three leds at the top of the unit indicate? does the light turn on when the unit responds to motion, and then remain on until reset, indicating that there has been activity?
It goes OFF as soon as the door closes, this is a great idea!!
On your suggestion I put one in my rural mailbox duct taped to the rear wall facing out. Works everytime!

why do you recommend to check the channels if I buy more than one unit?

Each unit should have a different channel if you want to know which sensor has alarmed (front door? Back door? Shed?). In a security system with one channel all of them will sound off when a sensor sees something. I recommend different channels.
I have 5 sensors and 1 receiver covering my whole back yard.
Yes that light at end is garbage! Buy the flood lights that stay on all night not sensor BS

Not really, I think if left exposed to rain they would fail. They could be wrapped in clear plastic tho.

These hardly look weather proof!
The sending units might hold up to weather but the beeper unit likely would not.

They are great. I have one IN my mailbox installed at the very back so only the postman should see it when he puts mail in, on my front porch and back patio and on my Shed entry door (workshop).
