Damn, I swear Sammy is immortal! Most of us will probably have trouble just getting around, a few years from now. But Sammy......well, someone forgot to tell him that's what's supposed to happen because the man still sings, plays and runs around like a man in his 20s! I've been a huge fan of Sammy, Mikey and of course Van Halen from the age of 10 and I have to say that I feel very lucky to have that same source of inspiration from childhood on, still out there kicking ass and just as relevant now as they ever were! Oftentimes, our childhood Heroes turn into trainwrecks before our very eyes, but not Sammy and Mikey. Thanks for doing what you guys do. You will never know how important that is and has always been for some of us fans!

Yea, that’s Billy Duffy from The Cult.......I was fortunate to catch them in San Antonio many years ago. It was one of the loudest and best shows ever. Our wives stuffed ear pieces in to protect their ears. They were pleading for us to leave. We didnt😜🍺

I did the stage sound for Sammy on 2 European tours in the 80s and God was it LOUD on stage, so I used to stuff ANYTHING in my ears.... toilet rolls, gloves, anything and I'd shout at Sammy 'Turn it Up Turn it Up...LOUDER....LOUDER' great guy and great fun tours, been a fan ever since. So awesome to see this line up! QUICK MATT SORUM story: I lived in Hollywood for a minute back in the day and you know parking is a bitch always. So I park on a residential street and I’m walking up to the businesses/the buildings just looking to drop something off. Playing drums for years, I’m all about the scene and all of that… But that day I was just walking and not thinking about much. I get to the alley and here comes Matt looking like he’s getting out of the gym just all chill with a towel around his neck. This was back in November Rain days and he was and IS a big deal to me and all in the music world. Matt was soooo nice to spend about 5 quality AUTHENTIC minutes with me just talking about drums and all of that. The guy could not have been any nicer and to this day I always think of his kindness and humble vibe. We all know this line up of rockers is just awesome bit wanted to share a snapshot of what it’s like to meet such a talented and successful musician and that he was just this really quality and awesome person. SO PUMPED UP about this new music and lineup!

My first concert was Van Halen in the summer of 1982 on the Diver Down tour. I also saw the Red Rocker on the VOA tour. I tell ya, I'd pay some good money to see this band in an arena!
What a line up. I think this song had great potential but 2 things to me stand out from making it certified amazing. I've noticed this from Sammy's recent songwriting , he doesn't give the song enough time to "breathe"from the lyric and give the music some time to take center stage which leads me to what others had mentioned: why was Billy Duffy's lead so short?. I know he could have absolutely slayed that. ( and gosh I got some amazing Cult vibes ). A nice smoking good length lead with vocals pulled back a little to give room for just music and this would had been a solid head on hit.
