Genre difference or not, still no real musical talent, which can be said for almost every current rap and pop music "star". Manufactured garbage with no REAL musical abilities; yeah, that about sums it up!
Because he does what the others forget a lot while playing a standard straight rock beat : PLAY IT SIMPLY. (And I don't mean : play it like a newbie or what. Just keep it simple and let the others elevate the music, and take it higher when needed.)
The song kind of has an AC/DC vibe to it. 3 super talented musicians. I met Richie at a guitar clinic he did years ago. Great guy. And he sang along with doing a lot of playing. At that time I never knew how good a singer he was. He blew me away. Great guy, and a great band.
It is Jan 1st. A new year...I am drunk, stoned, and on some glorious shrooms! With that being said, I am stumbling into this ... I love it! It sings to me. I am hurting and lonely. After everything, why so much pain?
Great stuff… we know how great Billy and Mike are for sure but sometimes we need to be reminded just how great Ritchie”s voice is - and this is a true example of that. This is a great trio ! Thank you for posting this…

@badger519 No, if you go to a live gig, and are near the stage, a great band just creates this wall of sound, it's something to experience... No studio needed. The sound engineer does have to do the setup right of course / speakers / amps / levels.

maybe that is what they want. smaller venues. easier to get a good sound and actually enjoy the show. i saw Richie Kotzen live in a relatively small club in Slovakia and i was blown away. the same goes for other concerts of that format. and once i saw ACDC live in arena format. my biggest disappointment concert-wise. sound quality was so bad that i even left before they finished the show

3 Virtuosos, Honest Rock n Roll, the fact that they dont make often displays of their massive talent means that they are working as a perfect unit . You can tell they are really having fun and enjoying what they do .

I don't get the 350 dislikes.billy sheehan is one of the greatest bass players. Mike portnoy is incredible. Checkout the dream theater stuff plus liquid tension. Its a force to be reckoned with. Ya gotta have the head for it. Progresive rock is the greatest

Saw these guys at a small club in so cal in 2014 or 2013 and I was blown away!! Never heard of them till then and I think seeing them live before ever hearing their music really made more of an impact on me than just stumbling across them on TH-cam..
This should be one of the biggest bands of the last 10 years the best 3 man bands since Rush having said that it's hard to be a fan and get behind a band anymore because no one stays together for too long to earn some hardcore fans
These guys are all super pros, making for a phenomenally tight sound and Richie’s voice takes their sound to another level. So glad I discovered these guys maybe a few months ago and can’t stop listening to some of their best songs. They are right up there with the upper airness of great bands! Keep going Dogs!!!

They are playing a small theater. They should be rocking arenas. The U.S. no longer recognizes good music, and we are poorer for it.
