No one could ever fill her shoes. She is a walking cornucopia of jokes with a delivery that is spot on every time. A classy act with a bright and wonderful smile. We love you Joan! Be safe, happy and at peace wherever you are. We miss you!
HM Queen Joan Rivers. She’s the OG of female comedians. I’ve never seen this one from the 80s. I laughed so had and loved every minute of it. Thank you for sharing this. Ms Rivers made the world a joyful one. ❤️
She's fantastic. To be able to have her comedic skills on the spot is amazing. I'm sure any comedian would agree, this format where she doesn't know what is going to be asked is the toughest.
Im reading a biography about her now and apparently she got a lot of flack early on for delivering her jokes to fast which is so strange to me when I think her fast paced delivery is part of what makes her performance work
Such a masterful first minute, I really enjoy watching it. She takes such care to warm up the crowd and flatter it, then BOOM! Knocks everyone's socks off with a classic!
I’m 70yo Australian we never saw much of Joan but she has always been on my radar This is her best performance I have seen so far Apart from her comedic talents , she is a very very attractive woman
Absolute Best “ Lady comedian “ of all time! Like Robin Williams, you can just watch it over and over and over again and it will keep you warm inside and your cheeks aching.
Her irreverent sense of humor is priceless. She's so brilliant it wouldn't be possible to get offended by her jokes -- even though she's taken on some taboo subjects. Best comedian of our time.
Ms. Rivers' brain was a spit fire. She was in the UK & adapted her act to accommodate plus the V sign. She adapted to each English speaking country & never missed a beat.
I saw her in a sleazy Greenwich Village bar (on the second floor, at that) where they had to convince us to go upstairs to see her act. That was 60 some years ago...and I still remember her joke about how it hurts to have a child. She said that she screamed and screamed and everybody in the neighborhood heard her...and that was just during conception.
The good old days? Did you miss the part where she mentioned she didn’t get a break for 7 years because her comedy was considered too wild and offensive?
I'm no prude but repeatedly Joan Rivers would swear using the f word I cannot understand an audience finding that funny because it's not.Comedians are doing it all the time to get cheap laughs.
@@johndean4765 Young Richard Pryor told Merv Griffin, who was an early booster of Pryor's career, that he felt he had to talk dirty because that's what his audience wanted.
Ms. Rivers was dynamite. Vastly superior to so many other stand ups. Clever, clever, clever. I truly miss her. She'd be 90 this year amazingly. She never lost her quick wit.
@@michdoug1 bc some people look for ways to feel offended these days and cancel anyone they disagree with, which makes comedians afraid to say what they really want to say. Look up Lisa Lampanelli from 10-15 years ago and the stuff she said was hilarious but would never fly these days.
Thank you for uploading this. She was a treasure. Xxx great respect for her!!! I needed this today, I was feeling blue and came across this. What a treat!
It seems that I was 8 when this show was aired. But holy creations… Joan is so “over the age”. No matter how old you are you get into her sense of humour. A real Diva.
@@markylon She went in to those butchers for an endoscopy, which is not plastic surgery. They couldn't resist goofing around, taking selfies, whatever. Melissa got a very big settlement, but the medical office never admitted wrongdoing. I hope they had to shut down, but I don't know about it.
Just someone that lights up a room ..blue..red and all the rest ..LOVE her so much ,I want to find all she has done ..and Lenny Bruce got her too ..WOW what a compliment .
OMG. Joan. What an entertainer. She’s beautiful in this video. And her WIT is incomparable. RIP to a woman who had a great career … she SHOULD have had a phenomenal career …. She is the BEST comedienne (male or female) EVER.

nobody will ever have comedic timing quite like Joan. What a treasure.
Yes, other than what she did to her face as she aged. She didn't even look our species.
Spit fire comebacks. She was brilliant. Unabashedly not politically correct.
She really is a tornado, no other comedian works with such timing. Is like music and she hits every mark. LOVE HER!!!

Joan's delivery is just music! Amazing. She was also really good looking.
So many of the audience are no longer with us. I miss Joan’s acerbic wit. May they RIP.
