Joan was brilliant in a way but she was also a bitter **** who had to put everybody down. Jerry Seinfeld may or not not be mediocre but it's very petty to say such things about others in your field.

@@Trollika_Devi bitter or not, she was making a good case of the irony of a not that funny male comedian making half a billion bucks in his career, retiring early, while a top of her game female comedian would work into her eighties to make one third of that.

People mistaken Joan’s stage persona for her real personality. A comedian always has a facade, it’s required. A comedian must be bigger than life because no one wants to pay to see normalcy.
Joan played her part brilliantly. Crass, rude, unfiltered. Off the stage, everyone knew her as the best person. She gifted her team expensive necklaces (a story told to reporters by her assistants) and was always giving gifts.
Her act calls Lucille many names and made fun of her appearance. Off stage, she loves Lucille. Yet, people only know her for being spiteful and rude. They don’t mention her business acumen and love for her fellow female comics and performers.
    Legend.

Can you imagine what she would say about the pandemic, Biden,…?!?! She said before he even announced that she thought Trump would be a good president.

She was one of a kind. I still love to see her, as she is one the funniest people on TV I have ever seen.

Joan Rivers had bigger balls than most of her competitors. She’s an exception to the Norm Macdonald rule.

Thank god she always stayed busy and did so many interviews and shows. Everyday I can still find something new from her like she’s still actually here.

Geez. Fiercely driven would be a total understatement for this woman. If you want to be at the top of your game in comedy or heck in any profession, she is the masterclass of how to approach it. You prepare and then approach and you never stop learning. SHIT, it sucks your not here today Joan!
