I miss her so much. Seven years on and I still find it hard to believe she's gone. Funniest person in comedy, no one will ever outshine her.
Same here! I was fan FOR DECADES!!! She was the reason I watched the Red Carpet of awards shows. Fashion Police was my absolute guilty pleasure. People were surprised it was a hit. I was not.
Joan invented "extra". Noone did it better.

Oh, he was one of the mob, doing the same stuff as everyone else, and competent, super competent. I'm surprised she didn't give Larry David the credit he deserves.
I've always said it was Elaine, Kramer and Constanza that carried the show -- BUT, Jerry was the straight man, the setup guy and he was great at it and it worked. It was a great dynamic between all of them.

Joan was brilliant in a way but she was also a bitter **** who had to put everybody down. Jerry Seinfeld may or not not be mediocre but it's very petty to say such things about others in your field.
@@Trollika_Devi bitter or not, she was making a good case of the irony of a not that funny male comedian making half a billion bucks in his career, retiring early, while a top of her game female comedian would work into her eighties to make one third of that.

That is my favourite Joan Rivers interview, with a psychologist, and she gets into really serious matters. Joan tells the interviewer in the end that it was a tremendous experience.
It's SO GREAT to hear the incredible Joan Rivers acknowledge her own brilliance. She's 1000% correct - she was, is and always will be funnier than anyone other comic. She was the best of the best and that will never change because she was an absolutely brilliant woman who could turn anything into an unforgettable joke. The world still missed her amazing humor but her honesty and sweetness as well.
This interview just shows what a genuine person Joan was, no BS about her!!!! Whenever I am feeling down I look on youtube for a Joan clip and life is good once again..... how I miss dear Joan......

Miss Joan Rivers SO much. She was such a vital woman; can't believe she's gone 7 years.
It seems like yesterday.So relevent.So endearing.
People mistaken Joan’s stage persona for her real personality. A comedian always has a facade, it’s required. A comedian must be bigger than life because no one wants to pay to see normalcy.
Joan played her part brilliantly. Crass, rude, unfiltered. Off the stage, everyone knew her as the best person. She gifted her team expensive necklaces (a story told to reporters by her assistants) and was always giving gifts.
Her act calls Lucille many names and made fun of her appearance. Off stage, she loves Lucille. Yet, people only know her for being spiteful and rude. They don’t mention her business acumen and love for her fellow female comics and performers.
Legend.
Joan Rivers is an icon. My favorite comedian of all times. Miss her tremendously.

I’m so glad to have seen this interview. There was an evening with Joan on British TV back in the eighties. In the audience were many comic personalities sitting there nor knowing if they should laugh. More fool them. She comes from another planet and brings joy to everyone.

Robin Williams was someone I looked up to so much as a child. I was OBSESSED with Mrs. Doubtfire. I still am. As a kid, I remember Joan being someone who was glamorous and loved being rich. It wasn't until I was an adult that I truly appreciated her comedy and personality and I was in love. They died so close together. It was like losing 2 of my closest friends back to back.
She was such an intelligent person. So much wisdom coming from her mouth. Listening to her have a “non-comedy” conversation is just so warming. Educational even. I miss her so much ❤

I firmly believe there is huge difference between confidence and conceit, but only a fine line that separates them. What she says there is the pure confidence of an artist who knows their craft with flawless accuracy. Clearly, she knows where the line is.

She came into my place of business one day with her grandson Cooper. She was nice to everybody and treated everyone with amazing graciousness and respect and I'll never forget it.
