That’s my girl Joan. I’ve never met her but as a youngster, I first saw her on the Johnny Carson Show and have been in love with her ever since. I seen her shows in Atlantic City, NJ, I own every piece of jewelry she sold on QVC, I even taped all her QVC shows and til this day, I still have them on VHS. When she died, I felt as if my best friend died. May your memory be a blessing and I think it has been.♥️
I had a chance to see Joan live, and didn't go for whatever reason. I wish I had. What a force of nature, hysterically funny, and so hard to believe we've been without her nearly 10 years.
I first saw her in a divey bar off Sixth Avenue before she became famous....in 1963...and I still remember one of her jokes about how she knew childbirth was painful...that her cousin Shiela screamed and screamed and was heard all over the neighborhood..........and that was just during conception.
My favorite Joan joke used Sheila too: “all I ever heard growing up was “why can’t you be like your cousin Sheila?” “why can’t you be like your cousin Sheila?”- Sheila had died at birth. Destroys me every time.
She’s deeply missed. Growing up this woman taught me how to laugh. I love dark humor thanks to her. She didn’t let anyone slide not even herself or her daughter and I love that about her! She knew life was too short.
As a person and a hostess she was gracious and kind, she would wait on her guests to make them welcome and comfortable, of course dressed to the nines.
She was so clever, and isn't it strange that after all the surgery she had, she died of a rather simple procedure done in a doctors office. I am 75, I have known her since I was allowed to listen to people that dropped the F bomb. Loved her ever since. And the last minute of her show, that was worth gold, and it was real. Thanks for having this on you tube, Sincerely, Bas Vancouver BC.
Joan rivers can even make death funny total genius! I cried at the end when she talked about her hubby. RIP Joan the world was a better place with you in it.
Is there anyone out there still on the hunt for Joan's videos, indulging in them even now? Extend your arm, if you dare. A rare gem among comedians, her later acts outshone her early ones in hilarity. Despite reaching her 80s before her untimely departure, she left behind an irreplaceable void. ❤
@@pardus5045 Absolutely none of it is improvised. She wrote the jokes, perfected them, and performed them. She usually had cards on the stage in front of her to keep it going.
@@kevinwilson3609 She was still an amazing comedienne and wrote her own jokes. The world would be better off if she was still here today - she’s the perfect antidote to the meanness, spite and hatred popping up all around the world. Imagine Putin, Zelensky and the Ayatollah laughing their heads off (if that is possible -it would certainly end the wars immediately) and deciding that laughter sounds better than missiles and bombs.
There will never be another like her! Hail the Queen of Comedy. She is testament to the utmost of wit. Sadly, the Generation Z confused fools would not understand just how brilliant she is. They are too busy being offended by anybody who tells it like it is! Joan, you are missed and Loved. xxxx. 🥰
So glad our English cousins loved Joan Rivers , the English , so glad they were laughing and enjoying Joan --have so much respect for the English , love them….
Plus she had a connection...Edgar was British...England and Europe had a special place in her heart. Her dry, vulgar humor was the type they crave over there
Joan Rivers, the Great Great late Joan Rivers. My favourite all-time female comics she was professional. She was too hard-working and unafraid. I loved all that.
I miss her so much. Hadn't seen this performance before and it just reminds me what a genius she was, as well as a truly decent human. She's not just 'an act', she's a class-act all the way.

@@margaretr5701 She probably would have sorted them out in the first 5 minutes. By the end of the show they might have learnt that laughing is more fun and healthier than being offended.
I had the absolute pleasure of seeing her on what would be her final stand up tour, I’ve honestly never laughed so hard in my life, my sides acred for days after. A comic genius.
It was only this dynamite of a little lady that could get away with this kind of controversial humour 😅 They tried to cancel her many times tho, but she refused to change her act and to go down without a fight. A real tour de force of pure unadulterated blasphemous, self deprecating humour 🤣 Love you and miss you, Joan 😁🔥
JOan was that old school comedian who would relish the times poor hecklers would take a shot thinking they were clever and the end up totally roasted. A true Gem still one of the best!
She was such a hoot, so darn honest….love seeing these old routines. In retrospect her talking and making jokes about death, and she died by accident 😢 Joan you were one of a kind. You are missed 🎉
Everyone has an imaginary monologue that sounds just like Joan Rivers but will never admit it. Joan did and she became very successful because of it. We’ll never see the likes of her again.
Joan was a unique funny funny lady with a quick sharp wit like no other. Glad I was alive during her “time”. How far she brought us in comedy. When I was young I was shocked by her, now that I’m old I realize what she said ….. it’s all true. Thank you Joan for all the laughs over decades. I hope she’s Resting In Peace, but I doubt it, she’s tearing it up ! 👍🏻🤣❤️
She is the funniest person I’ve ever heard. I have watched her videos over and over, I already know the jokes, and I still laugh out loud with her. I love Joan and truly miss her!
Did I see the great Ronnie Corbett laughing in the audience at 12:46? That’s proof of a real talented comic, when all the other comics come to your show.
Loved her Braveness and she worked so hard ...R.I.P. Joan ..you said so much what a lot of of could think if we could find the words and humour you had ..and got away with it of course .
I always loved how Joan could take a sad or difficult moment and make us laugh,it's so sad now to see how people can no longer share laughter, she was a genius at wat she did, gone but her memorable moments live on,I wish if we had more joy now than all the hate and war that's prevailing now.
SUCH TALENT, SUCH WISDOM, SUCH CLASS. TODAY'S COMEDY IS NOTHING COMPARED TO HER

I was there. She was utterly magnificent. Much missed.
I doubt you'll remember but did they cut a lot of things out? I'm assuming they filmed much longer than 50 mins and edited it down for TV at the time.
She was my favorite Female Comedian, nonstop laughter.😅
