      That's a blessing to hear! ❤️ We don't have a dry brown gravy mix, but brown gravy is one of the things we make from scratch with a quick roux in this video - th-cam.com/video/A4ZvbIP5QmQ/w-d-xo.html

    TACO SEASONING...
    Have you tried adding to this recipe rubbed sage & Mexican oregano? I met an older Mexican lady who owned her own restaurant near Nogales, and she gave me her taco mix recipe, and it included those 2 herbs. That was over 20 years ago, and I've never used store-bought since.
    You can also use your same blend, just increase the amount of chili powder, to make chili!
    BTW...I just made your recipe for the onion soup/dip mix, and I'm enjoying a hot cuppa soup to start my day! Thank you!

      I haven’t tried those two herbs in our taco mix. Thanks for the recommendation! Have a great day. 😊

    It's the food prep guide that is for sale- I believe it's reduced to $20 right now- is that a hard copy physical book? I'm really not a digital person. I'm older and I really like hard copies.. just thought I would ask.

      You’ll want to select “printed book” under the options. 🙂

    Although knowing how to make these in pinch is great to know, these absolutely will not save you money! Actually it’s the opposite. So unless there is an ingredient you want to avoid, save your money and buy the items at the store.

    • @foodprepguide
      @foodprepguide  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

      If you were to go out and buy each ingredient new just for the sake of making these recipes, then I can see your point.
      But most of these recipes use staple groceries that the majority of people already have in their kitchen.
      You're using your butter, milk, and chicken bouillon, so you don't have to go buy cream of chicken soup. You're using your oats and sweeteners to make granola, so you don't have to go buy it. You're using an array of spices that you probably already have to make your own taco mix, so you don't have to go buy it. Etc.

      @theresahanalei9885 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Making homemade items is not about saving money. It’s a way to control the ingredients that we are consuming. It's a way to eliminate unnecessary items such as fillers/additives, food coloring, etc. and limit the amount of sodium and/or unnecessary sugar that is added to almost every food product manufactured in America today. Companies conceal what ingredients are present in their products for a longer shelf life, are allowed to hide the fact that they use genetically engineered ingredients. Why do you think obesity is such a problem in America today? I chose to live healthier and make my own items when I can, even if it costs $.50 or $1.00 more because that is less money that I will have to give to BIG PHARMA who wants us all sick!
