This is quickly becoming one of my favorite TH-cam channels! The way you present information, go through processes in real time, and show the results is so helpful. Also, I lived in Chambersburg, PA for a few years and was able to visit Hershey gardens... definitely get there if you get a chance, it's beautiful!
Wow thank you, I’m so glad you are enjoying, I appreciate your kind words ☺️ I’m going to try hard to get there this year, I heard they have a beautiful butterfly exhibit my daughter would love ❤️
Did you know that the lids from parmessan cheese containers fit regular mouth mason jars? They are great for flipping open the spoon opening when measuring out your mixes or opening the shaker side when you want to shake the ingredients, such as ranch mix, onto your food. Thanks for sharing this video 💖
I’ve been saving the red parm lids and then bought the quilted pint jars and turned them into cute spice jars, then used a label maker. But you are correct about how nice they are to use to shake the spices and also level your spoons ~ Eva
Fun fact: the top of a cardboard salt container (eg Morton) fits a wide mouth jar perfectly with an added canning ring! I always cut mine off for easy pour spouts for spice mixes 😊
A great book to get that my mother gave me is called, "There's a Cow in the Kitchen". It has tons of recipes on ways to use powdered milk, even one in making cheese using powdered milk! Great video and i love the wonderful treasures of knowledge everyone is sharing! Thank you!
I'm on a quest to make my own groceries....BUT in single portions. I'm sharing it with my group, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recipe, as I collect information. I'm an elderly single household and I'm tired of wasting. These pantry items, divided down will sure come in handy!!
I’m another older lady and I’m on a disability pension , one day I made some family size meals for my 2 year old grandson , dividing it up into snack size ziplock bags and froze them .. I made a tuna pasta bake , curried sausages and rice , a cottage pie and a savoury chicken dish with rice , all with several vegetables in them …I ended up with about 80 small meals for him .. One day when I was very sore and tired I thought I’d try one of his meals and with a slice of crusty bread it was just right ( I often eat too much just because it’s there ) so easy and quick . I worked out the cost and it was something crazy like 30 cents a serving ….now that is all I eat for my dinners ….I have a yoghurt for breakfast , a sandwich for lunch and a hot dinner ……it has saved me so much money having them in the freezer and I’m eating healthier and only a plate to wash after dinner 😊

I kept seeing on different channels that they were using Redmond Real Salt Season Salt and loved it. I refused to pay almost $9 for a small bottle so I decided to just try and make it. (Sounds crazy I know since I didn't know what it tasted like) but I mixed it up and it has truly become our #1 favorite season salt and we use it on everything. Here's the recipe if anyone's interested! Season Salt 1/2 cup Redmond salt 1/4 cup Onion Powder 1/4 cup Garlic Powder 1/4 cup Ground Coriander 1/4 cup Ground Mustard 1/4 cup Celery Seed (I grind mine) 1/4 cup Black Pepper, 1/4 cup Paprika 1/4 cup Turmeric 1/4 cup Parsley
Homemade Chili Powder: 4 tablespoons smoked paprika 4 teaspoons ground oregano 4 teaspoons ground cumin 4 teaspoons garlic powder 4 teaspoons cayenne pepper 2 teaspoon onion powder Homemade Sausage Spice: I sprinkle a little of this on lot of different things when I am cooking, It has kind of become my signature spice blend. BUT a full batch is enough to turn 3 LBS of ground turkey into delicious, breakfast sausage. 4 tsp ground sage 2 tsp ground fennel seeds 2 tsp ground thyme 2 tsp ground black pepper 2 tsp smoked paprika 2 tsp garlic powder 2 tsp onion powder 2 tsp ground oregano 1 tsp cayenne pepper 1/4 tsp ground cloves 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Oh my gosh thank you for sharing this sausage seasoning recipe mix!! I moved from the US to Scotland and they do not have American breakfast sausages. Since then I have been playing around with seasoning try to to get it right, but not quite getting it. This is fantastic! Thank you. While I no longer eat meat, I have begun making an imitation breakfast sausage using cooked oatmeal that I allow to go cold (just using oats, water and a pinch of salt). When it goes cold, it becomes a sticky mess, I add the seasoning and mix it well. I keep meaning to try adding the seasoning while the oats are still warm to see if that works any better or not but forget at the time, I then form the oat mixture into patties and fry them in a cast iron skillet with a little oil until they get browned on each side. I really enjoy them and your seasoning mix has been a game changer! I no longer dream of sausage patties from home! Now if I could find a recipe for making egg roll skins I would be happy as I would not have to wait once a year to get the foods from home thatI miss. But I just had to come back and thank you for sharing! ❤🙏
@@shelleysmith4017 For vegan sausage, I use a base of the following (I use uncooked oatmeal in mine), which makes either 4 large burger sized patties, or 8 small breakfast sausage sized ones. Just add a half batch of your sausage seasoning mix to the dry ingredients, at the start. Once mixed, let it sit for about 5 minutes, before forming the patties. What makes these better than using just cooked oatmeal patties is that the nutritional profile of mine more closely matches real meat, including the protein (from the TVP and nut butter) and vitamin B-12 (from the nutritional yeast). - 1 cup textured vegetable protein (TVP) - 1/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats (NOT instant or old fashioned) - 3/4 cup water (almost-boiling) - 2 tablespoons ketchup - 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or Liquid Aminos) - 1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter (can also use tahini, or any other nut or seed butter) - 1/4 cup whole wheat flour - 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
@app103 Oh my gosh that sounds amazing and I cannot wait to give those a try! Thank you for sharing! I use nooch in almost everything savory, my omni’s favorite bread I make has it (he is unaware as he claims he hates it lol). I have everything in stock for your sausages, so I am going to make them for breakfast tomorrow 😄💚
@shelleysmith40 I'm from the west, California and arizona. I now live in virginia. They don't have foods in the East like they do in the west. They don't make sausage here like they do in the west with sage. I feel your pain. 🙂
@@JanineMJoi it is weird, isn’t it? And sage is one of the first things you think of when you think of sausage. If you haven’t, try having a look online to the north of VA into New England as you might find something close to the west coast sausage with sage in it. Especially the country farming sites. They can often ship it overnight in a special chill box, if you are really struggling with a craving from home. It is not something you would think would be so different in the same country, would you. I have a friend who gets homesick for breakfast meats from New England, she is now down in FL and once a year, just before Xmas, she places a big order of different sausages and bacon because “they just don’t make it right” in the south, in her opinion lol. So it could be worth a shot. I feel your pain as well, so close and yet so far lol. Someone needs the come up with a shop for east and west coast foods for those who made such a massive move.
Baking powder mix is 2 parts creme of tarter to one part baking soda+one part corn starch, I make my own to avoid the aluminium additive and it is cheaper
@@MrsPiggy028I know this is an older question but yes. When using parts you just select a unit of measurement and add that many respective to the parts. So for this if you were to use tablespoons it would be 2 tablespoons creme of tartar 1 tablespoon baking soda and 1 table spoon cornstarch.
My best advice is to start with the 'Make-a-Mix' cookbook. Lots of mixes and recipies. I was given the 70's copy long ago and has used so many ofcthe recipies all the time.
All I can say is wow. I'm in a season of preparing for marriage and just ways to manage my household and God led me to your channel and I just wanted to say thank you, these aren't things everyone is taught or have access too so it just makes it that much valuable. I truly appreciate what you're doing ❤️ keep taking care of your beautiful family and God bless you greatly.
Howdy Neighbor from Montgomery County PA. I have been making mixes like this for years. I lose count when counting cups and spoons. So, I switched to weighing ingredients. Goes much faster. Especially since I have to recount most items a few times!
Love this, I do it too because I can’t have salt! As for brown sugar, it’s going to be creamed with butter and sugar anyway, I just add the molasses & sugar amounts right in the bowl with the butter & cane sugar. Mixes up fine and no additional storage needed.
This is awesome…thank u! Years ago I realized i was using the same 5 spices in cooking. So…I made my own “Ellie blend”: 3T onion powder, 1T each of garlic powder, crushed sage leaves, crushed rosemary & thyme. If using ground sage, cut that to 1/2T. I use this one everything!
@@TeamD2012 The only time it backfired is when I thought I grabbed my spice blend and shook it liberally into my food, and then realized after taking a bite that I accidentally grabbed straight chili powder instead 🥵😂 (they were both labeled correctly I just wasn't paying enough attention)
Oh my word! I feel like an idiot! We have been a from scratch kitchen for over a decade or more and never even thought of making my own powdered or brown sugar! Thank you! I spent my elementary school years in Connecticut. My grandparents lived in Pennsylvania and they would treat us to Hershey Park every summer. Great memories. Enjoyed your videos!
Hey we are all always learning! I’m glad it helped ☺️ oh Hershey Park! Yes forgot about that one, we’ve been there a few times too! Thanks for watching ❤️

If you search for master mix Perdue you will find a time saver that I have been using for almost 50 years. Our high school home economics teacher gave us this recipe as a Bisquick substitute. It was so exciting to find it online along with so many uses! It has helped me to avoid eating that horrible bleached flour!
When I lived in Lancaster, I would occasionally drive up through Lititz. As we went through the downtown area, we all roll down our windows so we could smell the chocolate!
Did you know that the smallest sized Weck canning jar lids and rubber seals fit atop the Oui yogurt glass jars? You can clip them right on, and reuse them for everything from storage, to homemade baby food, spice storage, etc. 😊
@LadynRed99 can you use it on icing though 🤔 bc I watched a baking channel that showed this hack, but she specifically said it doesn't work well for icings. Although, I could be remembering the item it doesn't apply to wrong... LOL!
This is great. Where I live it’s a big deal to go to grocery store . The last 3 Years I’ve converted to making everything from scratch. This is another piece to the puzzle. It’s crazy how many things to learn. Thank you.
I have to bake gluten free and my favorite recipes that I make a lot of are muffins, pancakes, corn bread, dinner rolls , waffles and biscuits. When I measure the dry ingredients out I do it four times, putting three in jars. That way I only have to get out all the ingredients every fourth time. I have the list of wet ingredients listed on a card taped to the jar and just reuse it.
@@1nicenurseI make simple foods and I use the regular recipes I have always made for my family, not special GF ones. I have always cooked from scratch so I just substitute a GF flour blend for the regular flour. GF can be a bit dry, so often just adding a spoonful of yogurt or sour cream to a regular recipe is enough to fix it. I buy from Vitacost and their house brand flours are good and economical. I get a 2 lb box of GF flour blend for the price of a 1 lb bag at the grocery store. The only thing you probably need a gf recipe for is bread and there are lots of websites but I don't make bread. I make a single serving bread for my toast by mixing 1 Tbls almond flour, 1 Tbls gf flour, 1/4 tsp baking powder, one egg and a dash of olive oil. Can add cinnamon, berries or other flavorings. Fry it in a pan like a pancake.
Love these! Thanks for the tip about arrowroot/cornstarch. I have thrown away containers of spices and boxes of cake and brownie mixes and packets of seasonings because they became hard or tasted "off". It's nice to know how to make fresh mixes when I need them. I saw on another channel where putting plastic wrap over your blender before putting on the lid keeps all of that powder from getting on the inside of the lid, making cleanup easier.
I too make my own mixes for about 40 years now! It saves alot of money especially on the spice and herb mixes. I make many of the ones you did and a few others. I do my own hot chocolate mix with dry milk, pumpkin pie spice is so easy and the best in savings! I also make my own herb flavored bread crumbs and coatings too. Great to share this idea with others who may not realize how easy doing these things are as well as huge savings and the ability to always have them around! Loved this video!
Yes! I really hope people see this and realize how much they can save! I know things are so tight financially right now for so many. We LOVE making hot chocolate mix too, I actually put that in a video a while back. YES, to the pumpkin spice, I can't believe how much they charge for that stuff! Thank you so much for watching. I hope you have a blessed weekend!
@@seedandsparrowhomestead my mom did this the entire time I was growing up. I was a teenager the first time I had some instant storbought mixes and was so disappointed as Mom’s mixes were always so much better lol. So I make my own now also and I get excited when I find a recipe for something I did not have. I also garden and can my fruit and veggies as my parents did now as well. I hated those things as a kid but wow am I grateful to my grandparents and parents for the skills they taught us. Hubby used to tease me that I was always preparing for the 5,000 lol but during covid, we seldom had to go to the store and we were able to help our friends and neighbors in our very small community to get through the covid lockdowns. That was when he began taking a serious interest in our food preserving. So he has bought us a second pressure canner and we are looking at getting a freeze drying machine as well. We also make most of our own breakfast cereals (cornflakes, raisin bran - although I prefer it with crasins, grape nuts, rice crispies, and a variety of granolas). I now live in Scotland and must confess I miss snack crackers, so have been searching the internet for recipes for goldfish; cheezits, wheat thins, and so on. 🍪 I've seen folks add molasses to sugar to make brown sugar. Rendering molasses as a byproduct of sugar is a step in the process of making refined sugars from sugar cane. Adding molasses to refined white sugar is simply adding back what was once taken away. If you're making brown sugar for an isolated recipe, you can just add granulated sugar to the recipe and then add a desired amount of molasses without having to mix them together ahead of time. You can also get away with just using refined white sugar if you don't have molasses. It does impart a delicious flavor for many recipes.
Sweet tangy bbq 1/8 cup cane sugar, & brown sugar, 2 tbsp Hungarian sweet paprika, 2 tsp ancho chile powder , 1 tsp Tellicherry pepper, 1 tbsp cumin 2 tsp ground mustard , 1 tsp cayenne, 2 tsp celery seed, 1 tbsp garlic, 1 tsp ground New Mexican chiles, 2 tsp coriander, 1 tsp ground green onion, 2 tsp citric acid and 1 tbsp hickory or mesquite smoke powder. I add to coffee grinder which is optional but it blends it better and store in jar . Add to ketchup to taste . Of course you can add more heat if you want
Oh my goodness, I just made your recipe for the brownie mix! I thought I better try and bake one recipe of them, and they are absolutely amazing!! Thanks for the recipe and I can add another jar to my pantry, and I love giving homemade gifts for my friends for Christmas, this is definitely going to be in their gift bags.
You’ve got some great ideas here. Just last night I made tacos for dinner and realized I didn’t have anymore taco seasoning. Getting some of that made along with a couple other mixes will happen this weekend for sure! Hope you’re doing well! Thanks for sharing. God Bless you.

Thank you for your show. It's very helpful. This is my first time on your show. And I have been wanting to try making my own pantry goods. You're very easy to follow. Which is very helpful for me. So thank you so much 😊 Also Have you ever visited the Cape May zoo? If you haven't you should really take your family and go it's a great place. The zoo is free and it's phenomenal. You can bring your own food and have a barbecue or picnic and there is a beautiful playground area for children. Surrounded by beautiful trees. Is a great place to go for a family outing.😊 I tried to go at least three times four times a year. Enjoy God bless.
I was blessed with the older jars with plastic lids plus old peanut butter jars. From a neighbors clean out. Put you find most jar lids at the Amish stores I found mine in Rockville,In.
Great video. I learned from people who live in remote places to purchase most used ingredients in bulk. Less trips to a store. I don't live in a remote place but in looking at prices saw the savings. While I don't even have the space to house 25lb or 50lb sacks of anything I used the same idea smaller scale. I call it an extended pantry. I use gallon, 1/2 gallon, quart and pint jars. I buy my spices and herbs by the pound. Fill my easy to use regular spice/herb jars and store remaining bulk in suitable jar. I was blessed with a huge buffet and hutch which I refurbished and the cabinets serve as my "extended" pantry. I do have a regular pantry and most of my ingredients are in qt. and 1/2 gallon jars. I make my own dry onion soup mix, ranch dressing and taco seasoning mixes. I found "hamburger helper" seasoning recipes online and make those too. Buying bulk makes it easy.
Ingredients ½ cup dry onion flakes 3 teaspoons parsley flakes 2 teaspoons onion powder 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon sugar ⅛ teaspoon black pepper Instructions Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Mix well. Store in an airtight container. Shake before using. If using this is as a replacement for a package, use 5 tablespoons of this mix. Some recipes add 1/4 C bullion of choice but I don't like some ingredients in them.@@JanineMJoi

really appreciate the way your present your information. i am a bit older than yourself and have done the same things for many, many years (ouch) it has saved me a ton of money over the years. a book that is old but has helped me a lot is Make Your Own Convenience Food, by Don and Joan German. 1979. In the 70's it was very strongly suggested to eat organic and make as much food as you can, so there was a push to combine convenience and home cooking and health as much as possible. so check out the old books. i am a first time viewer but will subscribe. thanks.
FYI: plastic peanut butter lids fit mason jars also mayo lids. machine designers like to have a machine to pedal to many companies so there are many parts and pieces that will fit other pieces and parts
For Regular mouth lids don’t buy them use peanut butter jar lids and if you want shaker lids use from the grated Parmesan. I’m in Pa too and have a TH-cam channel. So happy I stumbled across this channel ❤
I like to keep what we call SOS mix. It’s 2 cups powdered milk, 3/4 cup cornstarch, 1/4 cup chicken bullion powder, 2 tsp onion powder, 2 tsp garlic powder, 1 Tablespoon dried parsley. Mix all ingredients and store in jar. To use I mix 1 and 1/4 cup cold liquid (broth, water, etc) to 1/3 cup of the mix. My favorite thing to add this to is potato soup.

Happy Friday! Thank you for sharing these recipes. These are perfect for me and my family. I am super excited that I have all of these ingredients and cannot wait to make these mixes. Again, thank you.
Instead of white wine vinegar in recipes, I use pickle juice. Same when I make home made ranch. It's also good in soups and stews. Most people toss it - don't!!
Thank you for sharing your pantry items with us. I just found your u-tube channel and found your information so helpful. I will definitely be watching additional videos that you post. 😊 Thanks again. Blessings!
That’s what I am trying to find a cake mix that is basic white/yellow and I can use it like that or I can add chocolate, or fruit to change it up a bit
Great info - would love to hear all the ways you use this and what you add to the dry mix to complete: how much eggs, milk, etc. I was totally shocked to make my first batch of brown sugar - it was SOOOOOO easy and tasted way better than store bought. If you look on the ingredients of store bought it says, sugar and molasses. Easy peasy. Now I need to get busy copying your recipes! I also found out how easy it is to make your own baking powder.
Echoing everyone else's comments -- your channel is currently on my top 10 to watch on Sunday (my TH-cam binge day). I make my own mixes too -- the only one I'd add is a hot cocoa mix. My kids plow through hot cocoa in the winter. Again, really enjoying your content. 😊
Thank you! Your video popped up on my screen. I may have to buy some commercial flour to mix up some pancake and brownie mix for my daughter. I use our wheat berries and mill my own but that would go rancid. So it’s not beneficial to me. But your spice mixes I can definitely try that. Brown sugar I’ve heard about for making my own. Powdered sugar I purchase raw cane sugar and that is brown. But if it goes inside a recipe, I can definitely do that as well. Unfortunately I have to use up my current stock before making my own. But definitely the pancake and brownie mixes. Great gift ideas. Thank youI
I am always looking for recipes that will fit into my dietary needs and have allergies to all night shades as well as dairy. Ilike your channel because it gives me a starting point that I can alter to fit. Thank you.

Love making my own mixes, and making them are great Homeschool projects! (incl. label pictures) Thanks for sharing these! Note: Dry Milk/Cream & powdered eggs can be added to mixes so that only water is a needed liquid. I know Crisco is not a great thing, but when the chips are down, having been cut into mixes is priceless comfort & doesn't shorten shelf-life...also Crisco makes great long-lasting candlelight. :)
@theoffice6641 stuff a taper candle inside for an easy hack, or buy wicks & spoon the crisco into jars. If you heat the crisco, it will go rancid, & shorten the shelf life, so you probably want to avoid that & a few air pockets won't matter that much. You can also get terra cotta pots & make emergency heaters for just a few more pennies... look these things up on TH-cam
@@Beepbopboop19 I don't know what others do - But I stick a very cheap tapered candle in the center ... Have used "rancid crisco candles" when camping ... They'll burn for many hours...

4 tsp ground sage
2 tsp ground fennel seeds
2 tsp ground thyme
2 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp smoked paprika
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp ground oregano
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 cup textured vegetable protein (TVP)
- 1/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats (NOT instant or old fashioned)
- 3/4 cup water (almost-boiling)
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or Liquid Aminos)
- 1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter (can also use tahini, or any other nut or seed butter)
- 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
So it's equal parts baking soda and corn starch?
@@MrsPiggy028 2 teaspoons cream of tartar, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon corn starch combine, make ahead small batch, store in refrigerator
That's a great idea! Thank you! ❤️
I still have that cookbook!!!!
I don't think it's printed anymore
@JanineMJoi, a person should be able to find copies still at Salvation Army, eBay ThriftBooks, etc. It's definitely a great book!
i loved them i have all 3
All I can say is wow.

Happy 1 year anniversary!!!!
Yes, it’s a great way to control ingredients!
This is a great idea!
I make my own Lipton omiom soup mix, recipe is from Lesa at Sutton Daze
This is awesome…thank u! Years ago I realized i was using the same 5 spices in cooking. So…I made my own “Ellie blend”: 3T onion powder, 1T each of garlic powder, crushed sage leaves, crushed rosemary & thyme. If using ground sage, cut that to 1/2T. I use this one everything!
Thanks for sharing 😊
Sounds lovely! Thank you for sharing. P.S. My daughter is an "Ellie"! Her name is Eleanor, " Ellie Blend" made me smile ❤
I ended up doing the same with onion powder, garlic powder, paprika and black pepper! I was putting them on everything anyway.
@@TM.BECK14 might as well make it easy on ourselves lol

So it's shelf stable for awhile even after adding the shortening?
Thanks for the info! Great tip!

Oh how neat! Thanks for the tip ❤️
Can you order the lids separately? A friend has saved the jars for me and I didn’t know wreck’s lids would work… TY sooooo much!
@@KarenBrown-q5t I believe you can just purchase the lids and clips, ala cart, on the Weck site!
I love the fact that you can make powdered sugar, because i don't use it that often, so I can just make it when I need it.
Yes absolutely!
The great thing about powered sugar, it never goes bad in your pantry. We have some bought 10 yrs ago that tastes the same as this yrs... LOL!
I enjoy cake decorating, so it’s great to make this instead of running to the store 😊
How about the recipe?
Can you share your recipes, please! My grandkids are gluten-free! Or a recipe book u use!
Thank you so much I'm going to give it a try...
Thank you! Absolutely, the arrowroot/cornstarch does the trick! Oh I’ll have to keep that in mind with the plastic wrap, thanks! ❤️

Shipping is free and they have several options for sizes. Thanks for sharing.
Wow… these are things I have heard of but was too afraid to try on my own. This is so helpful as a visual. Thank you
I use to live in southern central PA and i loved going to visit Hershey World. It was such a fun day trip to make.
Oh can’t wait to try the brown sugar! Thank you!

Thank you so much for all your help you're very good at showing us how to do it
Great video.
Yes, absolutely! Buying in bulk has been a game changer for us. I always encourage it if able ❤️

Ingredients
½ cup dry onion flakes
3 teaspoons parsley flakes
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon sugar
⅛ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Mix well.
Store in an airtight container.
Shake before using. If using this is as a replacement for a package, use 5 tablespoons of this mix.

really appreciate the way your present your information. i am a bit older than yourself and have done the same things for many, many years (ouch) it has saved me a ton of money over the years. a book that is old but has helped me a lot is Make Your Own Convenience Food, by Don and Joan German. 1979. In the 70's it was very strongly suggested to eat organic and make as much food as you can, so there was a push to combine convenience and home cooking and health as much as possible. so check out the old books. i am a first time viewer but will subscribe. thanks.
Thanks so much Kellie, I’ll check it out! ❤️

Yes! Great tips, thank you ❤️
Do you put a wick in it?
@theoffice6641 stuff a taper candle inside for an easy hack, or buy wicks & spoon the crisco into jars. If you heat the crisco, it will go rancid, & shorten the shelf life, so you probably want to avoid that & a few air pockets won't matter that much.
You can also get terra cotta pots & make emergency heaters for just a few more pennies... look these things up on TH-cam
@@Beepbopboop19 I don't know what others do - But I stick a very cheap tapered candle in the center ... Have used "rancid crisco candles" when camping ... They'll burn for many hours...
