Priyanka hats off for showing the different weavers of India. Please share the name of the shop with the sarees and mention if they can sell to international customers
All these great artisans are so talented, hard working and humble but as you said don't get much appreciation. The likes of designers like Manish Malhotra and sarbasachi must help these weavers to live in a better working condition, clean environment to save these great traditions of our country, SAVE THE WEAVERS guys. We are very lucky to be blessed with these lovely guys, support them ❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@ajaypushkarna4811 actually ages ago Bengal was epitome of wealth and prosperity and to showcase their wealth and prosperity in weddings benarasi sarees were used because benarasi sarees were considered most regal and royal sarees back then.. it had lots of colour patterns and silver gold threads were used. In Bengal during those days only kora or gorod were used Shada Saree with Laal Paar (red border) and those were part of our regular wear hence, our forefathers “to show off their wealth” gone way beyond and made benarasi saree a must wear for Bengali brides. Even today you’ll find atleast 2 Benarasi sarees (the real ones) in most of our bengali wardrobe 😊 thanks for asking this beautiful question. I hope I could reply properly with whatever little knowledge I had about it 😊
@@ajaypushkarna4811you will find perhaps one girl in one or ten lakh who didn't get married in red benarasi saree. The poorest of poor or the richest of all goes to red benarasi saree. I must admit they all look etheral in that attire.
I just love your series on the making of handloom saris from all over India . One day I’m going to take a long trip to India and go to all the places you’ve shown and shared with us . I have a lovely Banarsi sari collection ( still my favourite as my dad always brought me a Banarsi sari whenever he visited India ) ) but watching your series I’ve become better informed about the variety of saris available in India . The humility and dedication of the weavers and all the team members involved in the making of each authentic piece is so inspiring . My hope and prayer is that the designers of India who charge such high prices for their designer saris , lenghas and other products will also be inspired by these true artists and give back to the country by saving this dying art and take a collaborative stand to improve the living wages of these workers ❤ thank you for sharing your work with us !!!!
So obsessed with your Banarasi Saree video, the real beauty is in the Banarasi Art and Talent. You are doing very good work by brining that to us: Kudos to both weavers and you ❤.

Thank you for the information.now i should also go to any of the factory. You inspired me. Even since I have lived in Varanasi for the past 3 years I have never visited any of the factory.
You are doing a good job. Earning is of course important but you are doing a good deed by showing what you do. This art is part of ancient India, which cannot be allowed to die out. The main difference between Kanchipuram and Benarasi sarees is the twist of the silk yarn. Kanchipuram silk yarns are double twisted as opposed to the single twist of the Benaras silk yarns. This is the reason Kanchipuram sarees don't need the extra care accorded to the Benaras sarees and last longer.
I truly enjoy watching your work and there is a lot to learn from these. Thank you for covering many unusually interesting places and topics and presenting in such a sophisticated manner.
can understand the pain behind making such vlogs .. HATS OFF !!! This is the kind of content we need .. Highly informative ..KEEP GOING .. Best Wishes !!
Love your passion for handloom and I can totally resonate your feeling for the same. Thank You so much for the videos and for the awareness that you are spreading ❤
Thanks for your efforts, you did really a good job, Banarsi sarees are world famous, wondering in the streets of Banaras to find good weavers is a very tuff job, I whole heatedly respect you to bring the deficulties faced by the poor weavers but they allive centuries old traditional work to make beautiful sarees.
Thanks for this blog. As a Bengali I am a Benarasi lover. Many of my friends think Benarasi are too gaudy and there is hype about kanjeevaram. But in my opinion Benarasi rules. However I wish you would have shown the powerloom next to handloom product for a direct comparison.

Fantastic blog. A lot of hard work was put in to make this blog. Though the product is saree which is meant for females only, the industry is completely male dominated.....
You are going great work.. this is not generally appreciated in today’s world.. but you are doing a service to this art and Indian heritage! :) Just a question.. please ask where the thread is coming from as often it’s difficult to trace that for authenticity. Thank you 🙏
Hey desi girl traveller. I visited Benaras about 6 years back and in the same galiyas which you have shown, I could hear only the sound of power looms everywhere 😮. Hardly any handlooms left . We should all try to conserve our heritage handlooms by buying only authentic stuffs. 🙏

Banarasi saree mostly used for marriage in Bengali wedding, especially in red complexion. Thanks making a video on it.
Bengali sarees are not worn during weddings in Bengal
Very surprising
@@ajaypushkarna4811In Southern India 5 states ppl wore kanchipuram saree during marriage is it also surprising for you?
