    Thanks for the video!
    I’m thinking of adding this on my 2022 GSX-S 750.
    I’m a bit concerned about that wire going out of the quick shifter and route it up nearby the engine. It gets hot around there and thinking the wire might somehow melt or damage itself due to heat.
    Am I overthinking it?? 😅
    On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being advanced skills to install) it looks like a 3 or 4 .. would agree on my assumption?

    • @twistandgo3414
      @twistandgo3414  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No real issue with heat on the install for the wiring, doesn’t touch anything hot enough to be a problem. Fairly straight forward to install. if you can follow instructions and use basic tools, it’s easy enough. The hardest part is taking the bike apart to get to everything! if you’re competent doing that and getting to the ignition coils, you’ll breeze the rest of it, so on that basis i’d give it a 4 or 5 😂. 👍🏻😎

    Hi please can you explain how to remove the tank? Im scared that some gas will come out during removal :(

    • @twistandgo3414
      @twistandgo3414  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The fuel connector under the tank has a U shaped pin that pops up with use of a flat blade screw driver. It’s like a quick connector, you’ll only get a small dribble. Once that’s been popped up to release the connector it can be pulled off the tank. Have a look at my air filter installation video it’s on there. 👍😀

      No need to. It adjusts itself. You can do that with the facility there to adjust yourself if you want to, but I haven't touched mine at all since I installed it's as it came out the box and it's perfect. I fitted one to my k8 750 a few years ago and this model QS is even better than that... I can't fault it. Latest track video now on the channel too... Check the speed of gear changes there.. I have installed it as well. I was also suprised about the way its mounted but it works perfect. I ran the wire behind the healplates so it does not need to go forward. You can also shift easily from 1 to 2. It goes smooth. Even shifting at only 4K rpm goes great. I do have changed the shiftlever to upside down shifting (GP style). I love this machine.

      Hi, yeah, you need to remove the air box to get access to the ignition coils underneath. It's good practice to disconnect the battery (you don't HAVE to remove it) but I re ran my PC5 cabling to make the cable runs neater. Just depends how you want to run your wiring. Thanks for watching!

    Translogic does not have a model for my bike so I'm going with the Healtech. With the Healtech the cutoff times are adjustable for various rev ranges by a phone app. Lower revs get longer cutoff times, higher revs get shorter cutoff times. It can also be turned off completely with the phone app.

    • @twistandgo3414
      @twistandgo3414  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats sounds good. You can adjust the kill times with the translogic too if you need to but I've left it standard as it learns and adjusts itself anyway. I can't fault it at all since I installed it, it's a great bit of kit. Hope you enjoy yours when it arrives. 😎 Thanks for watching.

    Did you have any benefits from adding the power commander?

    • @twistandgo3414
      @twistandgo3414  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, bike was 102bhp at the wheel with the R11 can fitted as standard. i fitted decat headers and it initially lost a touch of power, just over 1 bhp, then had it set up with the pc5 and rolled away with 106bhp. The pre-loaded open pipe map that came with the PC5 wasn’t great as it was more like a pop corn machine on the over run and lower in the revs was a touch snatchy. once it was set up though, the bike was faultless.
      There’s separate videos on the channel of the pc5 pre loaded map and following the custom tune.

    • @TheIronInfidel1
      @TheIronInfidel1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@twistandgo3414 I appreciate it man! It’s hard to find good videos on this bike. Then I found your channel last night, glad I did! I just got a 2018 last year, it was obviously used but had just barely 2,000 miles on it and is In impeccable condition. I’d like to get as much power out of it as I can possibly can.

    • @twistandgo3414
      @twistandgo3414  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheIronInfidel1 yeah, full decat has to help but the gains between standard headers and decat must be quite slight. An ecu flash should hopefully give a touch more flexibility in power obtained as you can adjust the rev ceiling limit and other parameters.
      I went PC5 as the bike was still under warranty and didn't know where I was going with the track day thing and in keeping it etc. Still miss it if I'm honest and could well end up with another in the future.
      Would have been good to do ecu flash vs power commander but it just didn't work out.
      106bhp with 15% losses equates to circa 122bhp at the crank so wad up around 7bhp from the claimed 115bhp standard.
      Seen people claim 113bhp+ at the rear wheel but every dyno is different. There isn't much more to get out of these power wise and best chasing handling / suspension and I highly recommend a quickshifter!
      You can get different velocity stacks for them from the far east but youre only talking 1-2 bhp from them. Youre better off going for a 1000 if youre chasing big numbers... I did think about a supercharger at one point though ! 🤔😂🥴👍😎

    • @TheIronInfidel1
      @TheIronInfidel1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@twistandgo3414 funny you say that, I’ve also thought about a super charger 😂😂 I’ll probably end up with a liter bike, I do love this bike as it’s my first street bike. Only dirt before this, so keeping it is a must for me. It’s just too much fun going on long twisty rides.
      I understand our gears aren’t as “tall” or “long” as the gsxr 750’s which is why we don’t see the same performance. I’ve been searching but cannot find anything about it. Do you know if it would be possible to put a gsxr 750 trans on these bikes? Or are they just not compatible?

    • @twistandgo3414
      @twistandgo3414  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheIronInfidel1 yeah, people have looked at it. It's got a different cam shaft to the K5 GSXR 750 so you're talking big expenditure if you want significantly more power. No doubt it can be done, but at what cost? Likewise, I think Suzuki should have used the swing arm from that model too. Did see someone on one of the forums put a 1000 swing arm on it too, but again, may need spacers or whatever to fit.. I guess having a proper bike workshop helps! 😂😅. Disappointingly, it depends how deep your pockets are to fund major improvements.
      Its an amazing and grossly under rated bike thats very addictive. I think its mostly because you can use all the performance in a great overall chassis and versatile bike (making you want more of a good thing) . If I hadn't got back in to track days, I would definitely have kept mine - Such a great package!
