6:46 for those who don't know Dark ages is incomplete (sort of). Most of the PvZ 2 team left while Dark ages was being developed that's why it's the shortest world in the game as well as the reason why scaredy shroom wasn't in the game for a long time.
i've never been interested with Buttercup but as far as i know, all she does is Kernel Pult's and Wallnut's jobs but worse, as for Sea Flora, it really thrives in the water as it essentially becomes a mix of Cactus and Threepeater (even the plant food is upgraded), the main problem is the rate of fire but that will solve itself in due time (assuming she's been levelled up enough that is)

So, he’s a Peashooter with mostly irrelevant benefits, a decently strong plant food effect and kinda annoying weakness that doesn’t have combos like Peashooter does with Torchwood and Pea Vine, has its spammability rivaled by Puff-Shroom, you have to *unlock from Seed Packets,* and *Peashooter itself isn’t even strong or really relevant past the first few worlds* His whole niche in 1 was to be a Peashooter for Night levels, which was fine enough and worked, but now that he’s back he should’ve gotten a bit more to at least have a niche if you unlock him late game Poor guy…

The point is that Scaredy-Shroom doesn’t have a combo or much of anything like that(except maybe Plant Food, but Puff-Shroom exists) to make him worthwhile compared to Peashooter, especially since Peashooter(and Puff-Shroom) will definitely be higher level by the time you unlock it and is much easier to level in general. And even then, Peashooter itself really falls off later on, so there’s unfortunately no real niche for Scaredy-Shroom.

Well, one year has passed and it's funny how the community downrated this plant. Despite all of his weaknesses, he proved to be a very good planet in the arena with a constant pf drop, and with Tile Turnip & Nightcap(optional). Now in this year Guard-shroom now makes him stronger than before, since the mini-guard-shrooms activate his pf one more time. His scoreboard is higher than most common decks with some of the strong plants in the game (obviously it doesn't surpass the Peashooters deck scoreboard).
I mean if I had to chosse between idk a plant that I want like starfruit or him I would ofc spit on his face but if I get it for free I wont complain, I am just confused WHY THE HELL IT WAS NOT GIVEN FOR FREE IN DARK AGES? I mean ok then
god its design sucks, it's really a shame that we have had no plants that look like they belong in pvz2 since levitator. I've said before that I wanted Scaredy back but now that I'm looking at this, their is nohope for this game anymore

Considering that his competition are plants like Buttercup and Vamporcini, I’d say Scaredy Shroom is actually a decent choice

Multiple scaredy-shroom is very useful against multiple giganturs. Given the fact that is cheap but can cause a lot of damage when using plantfood.
If it’s a real gameplay, it’ll be such a waste of pf. 9 scaredy-shroom cannot take down a single garg + it cant knockback
