Every time I finish one of this sales roleplay videos between Chris & Mo, I always feel like I've been gifted with a key to answers I've been trying unlock for a while. Cheers to these guys.
When I watched this video yesterday, I didn’t fully connect with it, and it felt a bit challenging to apply to my actual work. But surprisingly, when I was drafting a quote email to a client last night, I naturally used some of their ideas and phrases, making my email more thorough. I didn’t expect that, and it really surprised me. I think this is what continuous learning from excellent people is all about.
I LOVE THIS! especially when your talking around the 18 minute mark. Too many people are not listening to try to understand but listening to respond. This has been so insightful as it's pretty much confirmed my personal observations with past clients. Thank you!
its SO important to not immediately project your perception of value onto the client as the designer. Everyone's relationship to money and value is different. The key is in walking the client through a process of self-inquiry to arrive at deeper sense of value than initially perceived. Thats a win for everyone!
this was extremely valuable! when you can get the client to think a little more intimately about their business, they’ll usually discover more of why they should work with you.
I am going through a huge business/life transition and I’m hungry for new perspectives and tools to help me grow to where I want to be. Every video I watch from you feels like exactly what I need to hear right now. Thank you so much for what you do Chris, from the bottom of my heart.
Chris and team your content excites me and gives me so much value that I'd love nothing but give you guys 10% of what I will get once I close my first huge client. I have watched this video 5x probably more. Chris way of handling Mo's need is so inspiring. My reflection and big take out of the many hours I spent watching your content is to serve not to sell.
I found the audio version of these videos on Spotify but they don't seem to be as updated as your video channel I wish I could find this video on your audio so I can listen to them while I drive
“….but I don’t think we internally believe that what we are doing is valuable.” Let’s say you are exactly right; now what? There’s quite a lot to value in what you have offered here…much gratitude 🙏
Well done demonstration of the similarities in coaching and sales! Streamlined open-ended questions bring out the truth, and it's only from the truth you can set the coordinates to where you want to go.
Thanks for another valuable video to help my mindset and focus :) I have a side question: The cap that Chris wears… the tape over the design… this is an expensive cap and I know the tape will be a deliberate statement… I feel Chris thinks everything through carefully. What’s the story? Again thanks for the detailed, intelligent and informative video, your stuff is always worth my time to listen and ponder.
That last sentence: “I don’t think we internally believe what we do is valuable.” Why he gotta end the video on that comment, we need a whole video on that 🤲🏼 please
Gary V talks about this a lot - the market decides if you your brand and product/services are valuable. If it’s a good product and the infrastructure behind it is solid, the cream will rise to the top.
So cool Chris , a live run to help the client realize WHAT IT WOULD REALLY TAKE , without insulting the clients ego 😢 ! Questions not tell , Smooth and duely noted . - cheers from Brisbane
We gotta get over the imposter syndrome. I think coming in with a mindset of genuinely wanting to help clients is a real game changer! We just need to let ourselves believe that we really can and do want to help people and their businesses.
The final sentence left me on a cliffhanger and I belive that might be the bean under the mattress we are all looking for. Believing that what we sell is valuable. How do we prove it to ourselves as people who are just staring to do business? Or how do we learn how to be valuable? If anyone knows a good resource to that thought, please enlighten me.
Thank you. Great conversation. I realize that I know I have value, but 70%of the time, I just give myself and time away trying to earn respect. Maybe the problem is that i don't realize my true value of my time and knowledge?
You said to the brands Hilton, Marriott, Norwegian Cruise Line: "... in fact there are many companies which their logo identity is terrible but it doesn't seem to matter ..." , but what makes them known and popular then? Is it constant advertising?
19:28 FACTS. I gotta stop going into every situation with so much emotion. Loved this video. Thank you Chris, these videos are going to help me get to where I want to be this year.
Chris, how do you get to this leval of un-needyness when your liveley-hood depends on sales? Just curious if you had this same mindset going into calls when you were not at the leval you are at now.
I was never in sales but for me I worked on my skills until I was good at my job, then i began interviewing with the mindset that they had to convince me why I had to leave where I was to join them, rather than why they should have mercy on my pathetic soul... because if they didnt want me, I was fine doing what I'm doing. I eventually went with the highest bidder (which could be a mistake sometimes but thats another story hahaha)
Hey there! Absolutely love your channel. I have watched a lot of your videos and listened to you on other channels. One thing I have felt while listening to you is that I can’t apply what you are teaching in my business just yet. I’m a very small one man operation and I’m trying to grow as a business. The conversations you have are with very high dollar/value people and I’m still trying to make my first $70k; honestly I would be happy with making $65k this year, but the goal is to try and make $100k this year. With all that said my question is do you have content for people at my level or do I just need to keep trying to get to a higher level before I can start applying your advice? Again great work and I really like listening to you.
Keep listening to the Futur videos, take notes, and look for the "principles" involved. Those principles can many times be scaled down to a smaller business, or scaled up to a larger business. Cheers
There are some valuable lessons in this, but this way of communication doesn't work with every client. It seems like the client is very junior, seeming he doesn't understand what it takes to build a brand. Chris has a preaching/teaching style. This can work for some but can rub senior, experienced clients the wrong way
Hi, I really, really appreciate this, for my own purposes; however, perhaps, in terms of this gent, he could have…researched.(?) Just saying, no stress. Cheers.
@@thefuturlots of valuable info in this video especially about ways to speak to potential clients about value and branding but realistically most companies out there don’t have a 6 figure budget or even a 5 figure budget to spend on brand identity design. Of course some do but most don’t. The other thing is, a $6000 brand identity design can perform as well as a $60000 job. Just depends on who’s doing it. Am I wrong to think this ?

Agreed 💯% ! His advice goes cross-platform for any creative business.

You are so welcome

This is one of the best episodes I’ve ever seen. Masterful
I need to watch this video atleast three more times for me to even start entertaining the idea that i have began to understand it.
Let me know after you apply it.

such a great piece of content, had to watch it more than once! pls dig deeper
Absolutely incredible (as always) - these are so infinitely valuable! - Thank you x 1,000,000
Brilliant. So many gems, but a giant one in that last sentence of the video. Great lesson. Thank you.
Damn, this is beautiful. I had to watch this multiple time

Yes please. As someone who needs to see things from a wide range and view this helps tremendously.
Thank you ❤
My pleasure

It was. The breakthrough happens after one takes the time to answer that "why" question.

I would love to see the detailed explanation

I’d like a deep dive role play video please. Thank you
Would lov to hear thoughts on my brand identity ^^
when you say things like the clients "cheap out" it would put a lot of peoples backs up
That’s okay your services aren’t for everyone

GUYS TERRIFIC VIDEO!SPENDING...$60,000 on a logo to rebrand...is STUPIDD! ....in so many ways
For you. A multimillion dollar company might see value there. 60k means something different to different people
A $60k logo is not for everyone.
