  • What are the 8 most common customer objections and how to respond to them. Lightning round of customer role-play w fan favorite Mo Ismail. This is a fun new format we are trying out. Let us know if you want to see more like this in the comments below.
    Chris - / thechrisdo
    Mo - / moismai
00:18 - 1 - Client is debating to hire you or hire someone full time.
00:55 - 2 - An attorney who represents himself has a fool for a client. Tell me the problem. Tell me the solution. Don't tell me both.
02:34 - 3 - Too expensive! Why are you more than everyone else?
    03:18 - 4 - Client is interested, but doesn’t want to commit to a multi-month contract.
04:07 - 5 - Not ready to make a commitment, the client asks for documentation to decide later.
    04:50 - 6 - The client says, “I just need a __________”.
    06:02 - 7 - Client is looking for a “good deal”.
    08:01 - 8 - Proof? I need proof.

@@Moismai Let's suppose one of your workshop participants recommended the workshop to his/her friend who is a Sales Manager.
Client: What measurable outcome will the reps be able to improve after they finish your 90-min workshop?
How would you respond to that?
It would be equally awesome to hear how the guru, Chris would respond to this?

@@thefutur I think it's more about "someone who's not friend with The Futur or Chris". Mo is cool but we've seen him multiple times, he knows you so he won't be too hard on you, he won't put you in a bad position: like people said, he's not very combative here. The same video with someone really trying to hire someone, using those arguments, trying to win the debate for real... that would be much more better. Afterward, if we could have the feedback of this "client", telling us how he felt about that kind of talk, it could be really nice :)
Well I'm in France anyway so most of the tips can't be applied here (different mentality and way to do business) but I still learn a lot from it.
Thank you so much about those video, sorry to be so harsh and so demanding when you're doing such a good job already!

I am in India, I feel the pain of cultural/societal nuances in business.
I asked Chris once that I try principles of WWPM often, but I still have to pitch sometimes to win.
He said: They are guiding principles, you have to figure out a path. Its like a game of chess.
I have been able to grow my business significantly using the PRINCIPLES of objection handling presented by such valuable content by @thefutur.

It really all comes down to CONFIDENCE.
Thank you Chris. There has to be a conviction in person’s subconscious mind: that he/she doesn’t need that client! All our reality streams from that.
Many of us grew up in a family where parents took that confidence from us and created a set of beliefs of inadequacy and fear. Getting rid of these false beliefs is a long and painful process. You have found the way. Thank you for sharing all your ideas.

I love the 'lesson' parts! I could immediately apply nr 6 to two situations I was recently in myself, and it was nice to see my own intuition being expressed so elegantly in a sentence. Thank you!
But for the sake of intellectual integrity I need to point out that Mo didn't have any objections because he didn't have a real scenario. This was an empty conversation.
Chris 'destroyed' every round by just asking for the specifics of a project, which Mo didn't have, because there was no project.
Is there a chance you could run through a real scenario that Chris has actually been through? Surely he could spin some argumentative points from jobs done, perhaps even 'ironman' his opponent and then show how he won the client over.... or he could even take a completely new approach!
Either way it's great fun to watch Chris' genius at work. Thanks for the output of great stuff! Loving it!

Watched so many of your videos and I can conclude one consistent thing: Whenever talking/negotiating with a client - it's always better to speak from a "I really don't need this project/client" - type of perspective.
In reality many of us really need that quantity, therefore it's pretty hard to talk to potential clients with that confident attitude.

It would be interesting to do a roleplay with someone that isn't a designer or in the industry. This guy is ringing the bell because he already full well knows the value. It would honestly provide way more value to us if you just got a real business owner not closely related to this industry, whose busniess actually would benefit from what the discussion would be on. And roleplay as if they totally are talking about getting this done for their business, but they just don't have to buy anything at the end even if they say yes at the end of the roleplay.

The skills you give on having an agreement before an estimate is given is great and you’ve articulated beautifully selling without selling. Liked. Commended and I am already subscribed. This was such an enjoyable format!! How much practice, and experience you need to have before you can just sit back and give these answers. Looks easy when you see a pro do it. Mo, you're good sport! Love your style too!

this comes off as a bit cheeky but in a good way. It really makes you think in ways to bring out the real reasons as to why a client would decide to work with you and help smooth out bumps in the future.

6:03 This objection is always funny to me. What I say is "head over to an Apple store and ask for two iPhones and pay for one". If they're objecting about the price, I'll still use the Apple store example. "Tell them to reduce the price for you"
    This was so good!

The incredible thing is that people actually come into the Apple store and do ask for 'discount'.

A pity this video has only 80k views!
The roleplay was a bit unrealistic (clients don't give up like this) , but great for educational purposes and the "learning outcomes" are very much on point.
    Thanks!

    - You're pretty expensive, Why are you more than everyone else ?
    - I know why, but why do you think I'm more than everyone else ?
if "expensive thing" was a fake objection, he would start selling himself why you worth it

    • @watchmeanimateYT
      @watchmeanimateYT 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@thefutur absolutely! When I saw it, my first thought was ...ahhh too bad they didn't use this as the master shot a few more times in this video. Composition / staging / framing works extremely well. Not sure if it was intentional but Chris & Mo leaning back on those chairs adds even more flair to this shot. Props to the team/or person staging / shooting these vids, the set value is as golden as the content itself. ♥

The moment client asks "Why are you so expensive?" is the moment the service provider knows they are doing great branding job. If the client had the real expensive perception, they would not even contact the service provider.

I wish I had seen this just over three years ago before I ended up caving on pricing for a consulting project that later turned into an extended full time gig. Won the projected and delivered the result, but being aware enough to use these kinds of responses would have saved a lot of frustration and resentment.

I feel like Mo was convinced too quickly. Most of the clients I speak with would stand their ground longer. Especially in "send me the follow up" and "I want a good deal" cases
