@@justinmckibben4534 lol why would I say that if I had a different car, I have a 2002 corolla as well. I did this almost a year ago when I lost my keys the first time and did it again the other day using this video as reference. The ignition switch connector you unplug to put the jumpers in, the ignition switch itself has a steering wheel lock pin in it and the ignition is secured around the steering column with special bits so you can’t remove the ignition thus bypass the steering lock. If it doesn’t have power, aka it being unplugged, it locks down. I had to drill one side out to use it and replace it with a normal bolt and hex nut when I found my keys again. The ignition and accessory power works but not the main power so no turn signals, auto headlights, dash cluster, if the door isn’t fully closed it’ll beep the whole time with the lights on because it thinks it’s off.

Do you need to remove the key cylinder?
It's only works on cars that don't have immobilizer system except you plug in only the key on the ignition and hot

can you explain, looks like theres 3 jumpers and nothing else needs to be done?
The steering lock needs to be taken off or busted if you want to turn at all but yeah it starts and moves, gauge cluster and turn signals are dead tho

I don't know of any immobilizer. I did this vid for people installing keyless pushbutton systems to use for reference
It starts the car but the gauge cluster and signals don’t work and if you haven’t taken off the steering lock it’ll lock the wheel on you
