Bonus points for making a transistor circuit that keeps the horn and lights on even when the switch is off. Also the real kill switch would be a 3 way that can disable it :)

I learned about these techniques years ago when I had cars and motorcycle stolen from me. Last night, I heard a loud repetitive banging noise at 11 PM. I went to investigate as I knew exactly what that noise was (most likely) and noticed a getaway car just idling at a stoplight while someone else was in a parked vehicle in a driveway. I called the police and was able to thwart a vehicle theft because I had the exact same thing done to me. Knowledge is power. Please use it wisely!
Thanks for the information . I know a machinist in Greece who removed the gearshift lever from his car and redesigned it so evertime he parked his car he just removed the lever and it was NEVERstolen or vandalized in 20 years he kept his car.

Xx_Blazer _xX ... Lemme get this straight: buying the manual on how to use the car will confuse any American. As for “Alien Wizardry”, does that refer to using the Force?
I’m sick of hearing this. Its not that hard to drive a manual. I drove my first manual without anybody knowing. I stalled once, but was on my way out of the driveway in less then like 2 minutes. Its seriously not hard.
At major events like sports games and concerts, many people who arrive late park illegally and get towed away. Thieves just come in a tow truck and haul away whatever vehicle they want. If you see a plain painted tow truck, with no company name, watch out ! ! !
As an automotive instructor, I'm blown away by the creative ways these scumbags steal cars. Here in Seattle-Washington, it's rampant...Cover your VIN number on your dash, and install a kill switch. All cars have a visible VIN on the drivers side dash area so that police can see it through the windshield. Cover this, as I did.
@@Motorsportsgeek I used to take a plug off the harness. Once removed it won't let the injectors fire. Usually a club is enough for the average car thief. I've unfortunately known enough jackers in my day to know that if there's any deterrent they'll usually try to go find a different car. Unless they specifically want your car then as the gentleman above-mentioned that will do whatever it takes. Even a tow truck. I saw a posting about a Honda getting tow stolen from a local mall. Made me WTF out loud.
@@jiakabery3550 don't you ever underestimate the appeal of a Honda!😂 I own a Maserati 4200 coupe but I am still craving for a Honda Ef hatch/sedan or 95 prelude. ..
My neighbor had a classic El Camino, thieves pushed it to the corner and loaded it on a tow truck. Never saw it again. I had a Honda Civic with a club that attaches to the brake, never was stolen.
The thing with the kill switch is you need to use your imagination. I've owned multiple cars with kill switches. Every Killswitch was in a different place. Every Killswitch was of a different style. They're suppose to be hidden. Basically find a place in your car to hide a switch. A place that you will be able to reach and find easily but no one else will. And then just like you said you wire it in to your ignition. Blamo done. An install video would show him cut one wire strip the ends, wire in a switch and then tell you to hide the switch.
David Stacy did one on that. You can also do a simple fuse install which will kill power to the starter when fuse is removed. Installing fuse in an inconspicuous spot will guarantee no theft unless tow truck is used. In which case you shouldn't be driving your sic ride in the hood to begin with.
I had plenty of spare keys for my truck, using the screwdriver. Though everyone in town had a spare for mine. It gets you wondering, when you see your truck going by on the road.
Chris Rendon .... Its educational. Thieves already know how to steal your car. So he’s telling you what to look out for and ways to combat their techniques.
The best way to protect your car overally cheaply based on my fathers recommendation who works in a company developing and rating car security systems: 1. A cheap kills switch installment 2. Independent alarm installment 3. Cheap GPS installment Everything explained below: 1. The most important: a kill switch.. Super cheap installment of a standard electrical switch with cables, the switch will cut power to either ignition or battery power or the best option imo a power that goes to a fuel pump, however its very important to perfectly hide this switch where it cant be easily seen, only reached with finger/s.. This is a must have especially for keyless entry cars but works perfectly on any other car as thieves will either have to find the switch what you should make impossible by hiding it perfectly or by disassembling the floor looking for the additional connections, yeah... neither one of these is going to happen, thieves are usually in a hurry, they dont want to get caught.. 2. A independent car alarm.. A bit more pricey like few hundred of dollars max but worth it.. The type of alarm that when silently triggered upong car entry you have 10/20 seconds to disarm it by for example an RFID chip that you normally carry on your keyring or w/e, and if you fail to disarm it within the time, the alarm goes off honking or even powering up a siren if you additionally buy one.. The best thing is going to be the independence, as thieves might think they got inside the car the legit way, the independent car alarm wont actually give a f*ck thus making a lot of noise bringing attention to thieves what will make them run for sure.. 3. Cheap GPS module that use GPS and GSM to communicate, perfectly hidden inside the car, (make it as hard to get to as possible, powering it on 12V in your car).. These normally communicate withing SMS about more than just their GPS location, some can even send info like when the car was started.. More expensive ones can even communicate thru the internet data so you can check where your car is any time with your smartphone.. Its recommended to have more of these cheap ones as when thieves would find one, they might think theres no more, however we should assume they wont find any as you should make it as hard to get to as possible, they wont have time to strip the whole car looking for these devices.. To best protect from any regular car thief there is out there, just install all of these 3 things mentioned above and their chances of stealing your car will drop almost to zero.. Just note that none of these might help against professional car thieves..If they cant find the switch or start the car they might just return later towing your car away, if they notice independent car alarm they might just pop the hood and kill your honkers and siren in like 10 seconds.. If they think that there are GPS modules in your car they might use GSM blocking devices or devices that point out the GSM traffic thus easily finding these modules... You wont have a chance if professional car thieves target your car, however chances that they will are insanely low as this kind of people usually target the most expensive super cars for example.. Well thats it.. I hope this helps someone.. Have a nice day and please upvote so more people can effectively protect their cars
@@Curiousnessify It doesnt but high quality alarm system with gps is just as effective as cheap alarm + gps which you can install yourself..Common people with slight paranoia usually go for cheap gps and killswitch at the very least, that means if you hide the switch very well, they ll have to both tow the car while actively block the gsm signals to succesfuly steal it meaning just the common thieves like for example relay thieves wont have a chance
@Blue Panther Gaming You certainly dont live in america then.. Restricted area? Did you see how most houses look in the US? Theres just a driveway, actual fences at property are less common than in the europe, I dont really live there, I was there a couple of times, esp in CA as on vacation but yeah, restricted.... I have no idea what you mean, Another thing with refueling, no one says the thieves will travel that far to target someones keyless car, they ll go just far enough where 20% of tank will be enough to get it into place and dismantle it to the last bolt.. All you need is a basic woodshack into which you hide the car, then they usually leave the GSM blocking device on and on charger just to be sure if there was some GPS installed in the car.. If you do some research on these car thieves, all this stuff I am mentioning here will sound pretty familiar to you, its pretty basic stuff imo
I prefer to wire the killswitch to an incindiery device as well so if they try to start it without the switch flipped the doors lock and the car blows up and takes care of the theif.
There are many things you missed about how car thieves steal cars. Especially on the older vehicles and the stearing lock. On older vehicles you do not have to use the wires to start the vehicle. I'm a former car thief who helps people secure their property. Got to give props for you recommending a kill switch. I think that is the best way to avoid your vehicle being stolen. Great video brother.
I can speak personally the value of a kill switch! Someone broke into my F150 truck and broke/took out the ignition lock cylinder, but even though it appears the thief spent a lot of time on it, he had no luck, due to the kill switch!
Put a "two pin turn signal flasher" in the power supply cable to the fuel pump and fit a switch that bypasses it. Of course you drive with the switch in bypass but a the thieve... well, they will start the car... but then it will stall. Then they will start it again.... and it will stall. This draws attention to them. People come and ask if they need a hand. Or if the car is parked outside your house at night... it may wake someone.
Back in the 1980s I put kill switches on both my old VWs. They got broken into but never stolen. Chipped keys are the best to thwart thieves, better yet a chipped key with a manual transmission. Also with the keyless entry: thieves can sit in parking lots with scanners and pick up the signal from a nearby car when the driver parks and leaves to go into the building. That makes the scanner the 'keyless entry' device and the thief simply walks up, unlocks the car, and drives away.
Some use a tow truck. Who's going to question a tow truck hauling away a car. Most of us are going to think that the car was either parked illegally or was not operable and the owner requested the tow truck.
Multipla owner? I left my keys few times when i had prev car, but my car key (beside key was in ignition switch) was closed from outside. I installed car alarm without mounting syren.
Small town in the Northwest. We grew up knowing everybody and you always left keys in the ignition in case somebody needed to borrow your car. The habit stuck even when I go to the city.
@Brian The Explorer damn bro you really took the time out of your day to post a negative comment and make assumptions about a person you do not know. Maybe you should reevaluate your morals and mental health because you obviously do not have your priorities in order.
I bought a car at an auction (Copart) and it did not come with a key. They (the dealer) said that standard procedure is for the owner of the car (with the title and registration in his name) to come and ask for a key, but since I had a receipt from Copart saying that I bought it, they went ahead and made the key for me. It makes me wonder, what if I had of printed out a counterfeit auction receipt and went to the dealer with that? The receipt wasn't any sort of fancy paper, it was ordinary 8.5 X 11 paper that you get from Wal-mart. I didn't think of that until this video.
And to make matters worse many auto makers put your VIN in the corner of your windshield under the glass where anyone can easily see it, I covered mine with ducktape from inside
@@darius2640 and now you're breaking the law, if you get pulled over for speeding and the LEO notices, it might be a large fine if they feel like tacking it on. They might just remove it for you and let it go....but that's not as likely. Missing VINs are suspected to be stolen vehicles.
@@danielkondra107, Doesn't the dealer require what to be there? I was there with my ID and a receipt from Copart. I didn't have the title (title was pending, I got it about 3 weeks later) I also had the car with me, on the trailer, but that was because I just picked it up from the auction and wanted a key to get it back home (the trailer was a UHaul, I needed the key so that I could at least unlock the steering wheel and get the trans out of park, but the car did start so I drove it off the trailer. But I needed it off the trailer so I could turn the UHaul back in) At any rate, even though I had the car with me, they didn't know, they didn't ask nor did they look out in the parking lot to see if I had it. I just went outside and put the key in the ignition and it started, so I was happy.
Having been in the life as a youngster (eventually did time), if I really wanted your car, I'd have it. Wether I busted your ignition, or Ran Up on you with a thing in my hand. No way out. To be honest, one of the best methods to prevent your car being stolen is an alarm system. 9/10 times we won't touch your car of we see the blinking alarm system. No one wants to do time for a Honda civic.
I have a club, a brake lock and am thinking about getting another steering wheel lock. As a former thief, will that deter thieves in your professional opinion?
@@Kateydid18 all of those are easy to get through. Takes 30 seconds to pick them. An alarm is the best option due to the noise. Again, I was in the Honda business, and almost all of us would walk away if we saw the car had an alarm.

For newer cars with a FOB, the RFI blocker, or Faradays cage, is a small metal box that blocks radio waves. Drop your keys in it when you get home. Great advice.
Let me get this straight: In there Canada, owners "turn on their car" in an act of betrayal, then walk away and wait for thieves to snatch it. Did I get it right?
texasabbott - I think they do that because it is so freaking cold in that shit land that they would freeze to death while the car warms up so they leave it unattended.
Charming_Prism - lol I have the opposite problem, I have to wait 20 minutes for my truck to cool down enough so I don’t die from the heat. I hit the remote start a few to help out
Leave the key tumbler out and dangle some wires so it looks like somebody already tried to steal it. Then install a remote starter or on/off switch. Maybe a pair of cut off handcuffs and empty 9mm casings on the floor? Wire your low gas light so it's always on?
Very cool explanations. What caught my eye was the graph showing how car thefts had been declining through the 1990's and 2000, then was a bit of an upsurge in the next 3 years, coincidentally, Gone in 60 Seconds came out in late 2000, and Fast & Furious in 2001 :D Then they started to continue to downward trend until 2014, when Need for Speed was released.
That hasn't been my experience. Some thieves stole my busted ford probe and took it for a joy ride to run over mail boxes until it got stuck in a ditch.
That is bull man i can buy any car but i want to catch the thieft red handed and give him 50 lashes How when car starts a seat that will shock the heck out the driver. Cameras watching of course more fun that way
The problem with that is, older cars are usually way easier to steal because they don't have any of the immobilizer chip stuff on them. So actually older cars can be bigger targets for theft.
Install an extra fuel pump and switch, run a hose into the seat poking through just above the head rest. On the same switch install an electric bbq igniter next to the hose. Just dont forget to turn off the switch when you drive.
Who dafuk wants to come out to their car and see a charred burglar in their fire-totaled vehicle? Total waste, you might as well have let them steal it.
Better idea, Pipe with a spring in it and a metal spike with a latch/trigger mechanism under the seat. "cock" the metal spring/spike and have the trigger spring connected to a servo or something thats wired to ignition fuse. Make sure to have a on/off switch wired inline. But if its on and someone tries to take the car they get a nice metal spike right up through the seat into their ass!. Seat=cheaper than new car
@@rmblwgn I think doing that with a thick smoke grenade would be best. Then they cant see or breathe in the car and if they roll the windows down EVERYONE will see that shit and take witness. Just secure it in a mount nicely so they can't rip it out.
Thieves can also use a signal jammer so when you click to lock your car while walking away they can jam the signal and your car doesn't lock even though you think you locked it. So you should always press your lock button numerous times while walking away.
the only good thing about it is you can't lock the keys in the car other then that it's shit with the fob on you and your close enought to the car anyone one can just come up open whatever door and car jack ya no thanks on that
bull shit it dosen't as long as the fobs close enough you can open the door now some have a button that you have to press to unlock it that would make it harder but still very possible but not all are like that there are a lot of cars out there that you just pull the handle to unlock it that's the ones i'm talking about it happen more with
Back in the day I used to pop the hood and pull my coil wire that kept it from starting at all. If you didn't want it to show you could quickly pop off the distributor cap and pull out the rotor inside and replace the cap. It then looked perfectly normal.
In addition to the kill switch. Install a push button that looks like a racecar start button, but wire it to the horn. Install just under the steering column like you are trying to hide it.
The keyless entry thieves are very active where I live in LA. My car utilizes this system. We put our keys in a metal tea tin at home. This works great. The way you can test it is to put your key in the box, and then go stand next to your car with the box in your hand and see if you can open the car. I tried a couple RFID wallets made of fabric, but they did not work with this testing method.
But with most cars that are more modern... Taking off the wheel also would mean disconnecting the airbag. Then there is the (real) risk of reconnecting it, and also that most vehicle computers will generate a code which can only be reset at the dealership - even a 10k++ SnapOn scan tool will not reset this one on most newer vehicles.
that won't stop shit, if it's any level of someone other then a joyrider they will know you take the wheel and will bring one with them that will fit (or a pair of vice grips in a pinch)

Great video brother. I knew the way to secure the older vehicles with the switch but I had no idea about how thieves were stealing newer vehicles. I grew up in projects housing in south Florida and people would steal or try and steal our rides all the time in the 80's and early 90's that didn't have the chip in the key. So we always had alarms on our rides not just to keep car thieves from stealing our ride but so crackheads would most of the time be scared off from breaking in and ripping our stereo systems. By the way I appreciate all your other videos. I'll just let you know now it's an electrical charging system issue. If you have the time at some point if you read this could you either respond on here that you can try to help with some advice or possibly email me and I'll email you the issue and what I've tested already. It has me and a lot of people confused on what it could be. Thank you. And if you don't have time I'll understand. But if you can help and think it's a good subject to do a video on after I let you know the issue and can help figure it out that would be great. I'm hoping it's something simple lol. My old friend had a kill switch so the car would only start if you pushed down a certain power window buttons.. it was only about 40 bucks. I just pop my hood every time & remove my starter relay and the fuel pump also. Gives me a little peace of mind.🤙
Good presentation. Thank you. My friend's 2019 Jeep Rubicon was stolen. After a few days the cops chased the guys. The jeep came to a cul-da-sac , drove the jeep onto a front yard, then the guys run off. All caught on tape.
I just came to this video from a cop chase after a stolen '19 Rubicon. If TH-cam lore means anything: Stolen vehicle + Police Chase = PIT resolution I think your friend was lucky to get his car back in one piece.
Marc Smith's guaranteed ways of preventing car theft: 1. Drive a car at least 20 years old. 2. Get VIN etching on all the glass. 3. Customize it. Some really fancy pinstriping is good.
I used to own a 1986 Cadillac Fleetwood. I locked my key in the car and my passing neighbor was kind enough to unlock it for me in 5 minutes using a coat hanger...yikes. The old cars you need to be careful with because their door locking mechanisms are ridiculously simple to bypass.

There was an episode of "The Closer" where the old detective put a club on his car that was full of evidence while he and his partner went inside to eat. The thieves came up to his car, laughed at the club and had his car stolen in 10 seconds.
My new career starts at midnight, thanks!!! Actually if a thief wants your car he will just walk up to you in the parking lot and ask you for your key. Of course he has a knife too, and now a covid mask.
Mabet that's how a theif would take it some of us have had the misfortune of actually had an ignition problem, I found him to be very informative as well as helpful, this guy is a great mechanic and I'm sure a car theif already has a clue what to do and has probably busted out a window to get at your ignition. It sure helped me out.
Good info. I had a car stolen exactly as described in method 1, they used a big screwdriver to punch out the door lock, then same again to smash the steering lock and ignition. I saw the thieves later in town but could not prove it was them. I then got one of those through the steering wheel bars, a pain to put on but better than having another car smashed up. That method 3 looks like poo, a fob always emitting RF!? stoopid.
Another thing they do is, go to the junkyard buy the computer and ignition w key out of a similar totalled car and then just swap them and drive away. It's amazing how quickly a professional car thief can pull this off However, if you're targeted by this level of car thief. Buy good ins. Because they WILL get the car.
That would not work with my vehicles. I being an Electronics Engineer have implemented systems that your described method would still not be successful. Neither would hot-wiring the vehicle, and towing the vehicle triggers the GPS tracking.
and you want to have to open your hood everytime you drive your car? I'd do a magnetic switch under the glove box so there is no switch that can be found and then just have a small magnet on your keychain for the kill switch
Unfortunately with modern cars (past 20 years), disconnecting the battery will reset EVERYTHING including fuel mapping, transmission programming, idle procedures, and everything saved in the infotainment/radio.
Hopefully they didn't dust for ur print on the door handle or trunk, and use tape to bypass it.,better put key code as secondary, and facial recognition system in
thanks for explaining how the RF is picked up and the keys transmit it continuously. I am glad I didnt buy the keyless entry feature and I have to just press a button to open the doors which I think is more safe.
I just want to say thank you, I lost my keys and I replaced the ignition but the ati theft still went on and I love been trying with no success to disengage it , but after watching your video I was finally able to disengage ati theft so once again thank you
Just pull out the engine before leaving the car, if they dont have the engine how are they gonna start the car, Think smart!

I Agree
@@jiakabery3550 also make a fake switch
@@lazertag720 or even wire it to a preexisting switch, just label it with something until you leave the car so no one touches it.
David Stacy did one on that. You can also do a simple fuse install which will kill power to the starter when fuse is removed. Installing fuse in an inconspicuous spot will guarantee no theft unless tow truck is used. In which case you shouldn't be driving your sic ride in the hood to begin with.

The best way to protect your car overally cheaply based on my fathers recommendation who works in a company developing and rating car security systems:
1. A cheap kills switch installment
2. Independent alarm installment
3. Cheap GPS installment
Everything explained below:
Have a nice day and please upvote so more people can effectively protect their cars
why does it have to be cheap
I prefer to wire the killswitch to an incindiery device as well so if they try to start it without the switch flipped the doors lock and the car blows up and takes care of the theif.
god bless you

Breakinnn
Back in the 1980s I put kill switches on both my old VWs. They got broken into but never stolen. Chipped keys are the best to thwart thieves, better yet a chipped key with a manual transmission. Also with the keyless entry: thieves can sit in parking lots with scanners and pick up the signal from a nearby car when the driver parks and leaves to go into the building. That makes the scanner the 'keyless entry' device and the thief simply walks up, unlocks the car, and drives away.

@Greg Myers in the movie "Gone in 60 seconds" (newer one) Nick Cage brings a steering wheel cause the owner took his with him.
@Greg Myers No steering wheel, but, I'm sure plenty have used vice grips before.
That's what u do when u have Lamborghini
Forgot some steps I had to come back to this video mid robbery. Hope i get away
Edit: I got away 👍
good shyt primo proud of yu
😂glad you got away!
Ive managed to steal so many cars since this upload thanks so much 😂
Bruh.
reported. :)
Must be fun driving old Volvos around.
This video came about one month too late! On Halloween our Mitsubishi Lancer was stolen right from our driveway! I feel so violated and angry! Went from owning a car back to car payments! We still haven't settled with insurance tet!
Just a lancer, no big lose... jk
first sorry about your car, lookup a you tube vid called bait car taser in the driver seat very funny you might laugh at thieves misfortunes.
how was it stolen any idea? did you have an alarm on it? curious what year, got me thinking how i can prevent that.
@@Guy-mx4fb im going to assume 2008 lancers because the manufactures thought it was a great idea to not install door locks remote and security system lmfao. saying that because i also have a 2008 lancer and thats complete bs
hey, I'm so sorry about your car!! I really hope everything works out.. May I ask a question? Was your car a manual or automatic transmission? I have a manual and I'm also constantly paranoid about it being stolen all the time especially where I currently live at the moment. It's hard to find parking, so I often find myself parking a couple blocks away from my house. I heard that manual transmission is anti-theft proof, but Mitsubishi lancers are usually manual. was yours manual or auto? thanks!
Thanks for the helpful video. As a cop I see about 5-10 late model Chrysler vehicles stolen every week. Only Chrysler vehicles though. I’ve also gotten reports of stolen cars with push to start and I always suspected that the owner was lying until now. Very informative video, I’ll use this in my day to day to educate people. Thanks.
as a cop you should be well aware of all these methods without suspecting victims of lying, holy shit man you shouldn't need a youtube video to teach you this shit, how piss poor is your training?
@@DanielRichards644 ... There's always some arsehole ready to rubbish someone for making a comment. You miserable prick.
@@jimmysparks315 no, actually hes 100% right. Are you seriously defending the dude? THey need proper training training..instead of having to come to youtube for it.
@@valentinedpg ... just taking the piss out of you that's all... I'm bored and have nothing better to do...
@@jimmysparks315 Nothing, but love for you too man.
Great Video thanks! On a brand new pick up truck, should you be installing the kill switch yourself? or bring it to a shop to do if for you? Doing it this way I'm skeptical as they will have your address on file etc and I want to make sure I trust them. How would you attempt this?
lmao this mans is out here livestreaming “how to steal cars”😂
I put in an old style starter cut relay and a hidden battery shunt ..... bad guys got pissed off and vandalized the hell out of my diesel ram .....insurance adjuster told me it would have been better if I let them take it.
Sounds about right ..........friggin Crack heads
Terrible
that does happen! Insurance is a SCAM!
Yup , the other day they said it can be my fault if I get rear ended completely stopped
@@jessearroyo93 Why and where were you stopped?
Great video brother. I knew the way to secure the older vehicles with the switch but I had no idea about how thieves were stealing newer vehicles. I grew up in projects housing in south Florida and people would steal or try and steal our rides all the time in the 80's and early 90's that didn't have the chip in the key. So we always had alarms on our rides not just to keep car thieves from stealing our ride but so crackheads would most of the time be scared off from breaking in and ripping our stereo systems. By the way I appreciate all your other videos. I've been rebuilding old rides my whole life and finally went to school and got a degree in automotive engineering, rebuild, transmission rebuild, electrical and automotive fundamentals. For me electrical class for newer cars was not my best subject in all the classes so when I have an electrical issue I can't figure out you're the first channel on TH-cam I go to. Thanks again for all the help and the videos! When you do read this I do have an electrical issue I'm having with my 92 isuzu pickup 2.3l 5 speed. No one has been about to figure it out and I'd like to know if I let you know the issue could you possibly give me your best opinion or advice or things to test other than all the things I've tested already. Ok thanks again. I'm not sure if my email is on here or not or if I'm allowed to post it on here or not? Sorry for the long post. Hope you get around to reading it. Have a great weekend.
What a tease. I wanted to hear the problem
Lol that’s what I’m saying!!
Now I own a Porsche, and three bmws thanks to your helpful tips, keep them coming
My old friend had a kill switch so the car would only start if you pushed down a certain power window buttons.. it was only about 40 bucks.
I just pop my hood every time & remove my starter relay and the fuel pump also.
Gives me a little peace of mind.🤙
Wow. That sounds like the best and most reliable way to combat theft. Why hasn't anyone else thought of your idea?
Good presentation. Thank you. My friend's 2019 Jeep Rubicon was stolen. After a few days the cops chased the guys. The jeep came to a cul-da-sac , drove the jeep onto a front yard, then the guys run off. All caught on tape.
I just came to this video from a cop chase after a stolen '19 Rubicon.
If TH-cam lore means anything:
Stolen vehicle + Police Chase = PIT resolution
I think your friend was lucky to get his car back in one piece.
America's most effective anti-theft system: MANUAL TRANSMISSION
Marc Smith's guaranteed ways of preventing car theft:
"I didn't steal this car btw I bought it like this" - so you bought a stolen car?
LMAO😂
The truck probably got recovered by the police but the owner already collected on the insurance money so the truck went up for auction and this guy bought it.
@@mindibear Interesting how retarded comments outnumber obvious shit on the internet. Clearly this guy is an experienced mechanic and would not video his stolen car.
Pretty much
I just picked up a Chameleon XLE. I no longer worry about theft.
I just googled the chameleon xle, I'm very impressed 😂🤣
Install a switch that shuts off power to the fuel pump. If you really want to get sneaky, use one of the switches on the dash.( For example, the airbag on/off for passenger seat)
" the thief is not me"...pulls out a random slide hammer
Well played, sir
I bet it's his wife's. She got it from an ex-boyfriend as a gift.
I drive a manual transmission so I hopefully don’t have to worry about this as much.
manual transmission with RFID chip! And your set 😎. ( no push start)
Older BMW E60 - E90 ( 2006 - 2011) Chip must push in then Push start 2 steps. BMW X1 2014. Audi 2006 -2012 A4. Build Proof
Far less likely to be stolen. Thieves cant drive sticks for some reason. Probably cant read either.
@@MrThiefHater blacks can't drive sticks. mexicans are a different story.
ABC123 lol you are a dumbass.. I’m black and drive a 3 speed on the tree.
I hope nobody steals that 2008 Tacoma with 1.2 million miles.
Or that dudes Honda Accord that just hit 1 million on the odo.
I remember when aftermarket car stereos were mounted under the dash. A guy told me he soldered fishhooks to the case of the car stereo in the back. One day he got to his car and there were bits of skin hanging onto the fish hooks.
Who grew up in the 80s and remembers "the club"? Lol. Still works on old and new cars.
Yup pretty soon people are going to like wtf is that
Don't know why he didn't mention the "CLUB" most theives will go on to the next car. BTW he just taught a few hundred people how to steal a car not sure I like this vid actually
The club lol I remember it you could break it with the handle that was on it took longer to put in on wheel than it took me to break it off, we don't take cars for joy rides any more, watever car I'm in search of I'll get pcm n key to match when I spot the one I want pop door swap pcm out zip tie key around immobilizer ring break steering lock housing off. Bet u don't see that car no mo
FBI open up
There was an episode of "The Closer" where the old detective put a club on his car that was full of evidence while he and his partner went inside to eat. The thieves came up to his car, laughed at the club and had his car stolen in 10 seconds.
My new career starts at midnight, thanks!!! Actually if a thief wants your car he will just walk up to you in the parking lot and ask you for your key. Of course he has a knife too, and now a covid mask.
If the knife doesn't work, he'll pull out his gun. It works without fail. 🤣🤣🤣
@@cb250nighthawk3 I have a gun too!
The bars close at midnight. Wait another 45 minutes.
thank you this was much needed!!! as I am getting my first car tomorrow, feeling excited
I’m also getting a car but I’m a little nervous
It's amazing how quickly a professional car thief can pull this off
However, if you're targeted by this level of car thief. Buy good ins. Because they WILL get the car.
Won't work on many vehicles because the computer doesn't store the key information, and the PCM numbers won't match the stored VIN.
That would not work with my vehicles.
I being an Electronics Engineer have implemented systems that your described method would still not be successful. Neither would hot-wiring the vehicle, and towing the vehicle triggers the GPS tracking.
You think they buy it? I'm sure many thieves work in the auto repair related industries.
Thanks for the Tutorial. Let me go try it out x)
TH-cam has everything!!!!
Thanks for helping me we’ve gotta plan before we steal one!!!!
installing a battery isolator in a weird spot is a very cheap way to prevent auto theft - most thieves don’t think to look in the engine bay
and you want to have to open your hood everytime you drive your car? I'd do a magnetic switch under the glove box so there is no switch that can be found and then just have a small magnet on your keychain for the kill switch
That is also a kind of kill switch.
Unfortunately with modern cars (past 20 years), disconnecting the battery will reset EVERYTHING including fuel mapping, transmission programming, idle procedures, and everything saved in the infotainment/radio.
I installed a kill switch that uses biometrics, only my thumb print will close the circuit.
I need one!!!
Hopefully they didn't dust for ur print on the door handle or trunk, and use tape to bypass it.,better put key code as secondary, and facial recognition system in
Mine actually has DNA identification, I have to provide a semen sample to start the car.
@@Camaro254 I'm actually quite impressed
ima get one with dick print entry
I went from detailing cars to now stealing them 😳
Congratulations! You're moving up in the world!!
You too!? 😁
thanks for explaining how the RF is picked up and the keys transmit it continuously. I am glad I didnt buy the keyless entry feature and I have to just press a button to open the doors which I think is more safe.
I was thinking "Just install a killswitch." Lo and behold, you said to do that same. Credit for my learning of the idea goes to ChrisFix.
I just watched that video yesterday lol
No.4 get the key code from the obd port and start the car. Happening all over England.
Well I drive a manual transmission, most regular car thief’s won’t even know how to put it in drive
If you have a manual transmission it does not have a drive. Most have 3,4,5,or 6speed transmissions. No drive
My miata just got stolen...sadly I was hoping Because it was standard it wouldn't 😭🤣
I just want to say thank you, I lost my keys and I replaced the ignition but the ati theft still went on and I love been trying with no success to disengage it , but after watching your video I was finally able to disengage ati theft so once again thank you
