Seeing her coming to you to "check in, am I still safe" is almost tearful for me. She has come so far. From those first few days, to actually seeking You out is just amazing. Thank you for helping her find her way❤
Well said!
This is such a beautiful horse, and she just wants so badly to be sweet and do what is asked.
Yes
Just LOVED when she touched you!! She's working so hard on trusting the human, battling her natural instincts, and gosh darn you won! She's learning good choices make good endings! 🤗🤠🥰
🎉🎉🎉
Wow. Never in a 'hundred years' did I ever think this would be possible. When I saw the tarp - I rolled my eyes and thought, this should be interesting. But my concern turned into a smile that I just couldn't contain! For the first time since the start of this series, I am changing my opinion. You've given her a chance - and I am so beyond impressed!
Thank you
Jake: Do you ever get tired of seeing the horses come around so beautifully?
I never do!!! Your videos just rock! ❤️
Never
She honestly looks so relaxed. I feel like once she understands it she is ok. She just needed someone to present it to her in a way she understood. Not trying to taking away from her owner or anyone who worked with her before, but sometimes different styles work with different horses.
👍🏻👍🏻
Oh BTW your doing such a good job with Remy, I have to agree with the everyone else she loves you💕🐎
Thank you
What a fabulous impromement shes trying so hard. She really is a beautiful horse and moves like a dream. Very lucky owner with an amazing kind trainer ❤
Thank you
what a change in her trot! Much calmer! Love it :) Soon she will be snuggling her head right into your chest.
I hope so!
Jake, thanks for showing things that don't go exactly right. A lot of people cut that stuff out of the video
You’re welcome!
I learn as much or more from seeing how to handle when it goes wrong as opposed to just seeing how to make it go right. Also a light came on for me when you said we want to teach the horse that it is in control of the tarp. You rock!
I think Remy is falling in love with you! She clearly trusts you, tries to please you, and loves her head rubs. So happy for this horse.
Thank you
Is it trust or is it he put it on maybe he can take it off?
Lol ... I think she is falling in love with Jake too.
Those burpees have gotten sooo much better. Such progress! I can't believe how well she's doing with the tarp. She really wants your praise/approval and affection.
Yes!
What a breakthrough! I hope whoever owns her takes the time to build this kind of trust.
Yes she will! Thank you
Hi Jake. Love watching Remi's progress. I have no clue about horses, but I love them and love watching your videos and videos of horses in general. My grand daughter also loves to watch with me. We fell in love with Remi, she is a very beautiful horse and we will surely miss her when she goes back to her owner. My God bless you and bless all your hard work. If I lived close , I would have paid to come watch in person. Greetings from Payson AZ
Glad you like them! Hello grand daughter!
Rummy is just beginning to get it.....touch, pressure and asking does not mean pain...or danger! Tgat tarp experience was traumatic but in a way beneficial. She did not get hurt.. you helped her and she realized it! All good! And watching her body language of coming to you; and reaching out to you was super! She asks for that contact, and she loves the face rubs!! Her insecurity is still there, but what a great thing to see! I'm glad that you are going to work with her owner.....she will need to be firm, calm and patient!
Little better every day
Thanks for you. Everyone make mistakes but wise man admits and corrects situation. Sometimes in life you must take one step back and then continue forward better way. I like so much the your tender leadership and as a person also. Horses knows best and this horse have a very trustful feeling with you. 💜
Thank you
Using plastic bags and tarps are great for them so yeah when you start riding them, they are so much better. You never know when your riding somewhere a plastic bag could be blowing in the wind.
Definitely!
Beautiful progress for this girl. Love seeing her start to use her reasoning mind instead of her reactive brain.
Yes! Thank you!
Warms my heart how far shes come!! Great job!
Thanks
I don't recall being taught by the reknown horsemanship role models 15 years ago about the value of my first and only horse coming in to touch my. Too late for disabled gramma now but I still love to see training videos.
Glad you’re watching and enjoying
I'm so happy for Remy! You've done a wonderful job with her! I'm sure that Remy and her owner are going to be pleased with each other!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you
Awww….Remy loves you! ❤❤
She’s made such progress!
Wow what a great change, thank you for showing it all. Fantastic breakthrough.
Yeah very exciting
Excellent explanation and I can see all the progress you’ve made and the trust you’ve instilled in her. Love this.
Thank you so much!
Her progress is amazing. Not sure how she will transition to someone else…. ❤❤❤
Thank you. She’ll make it!
Nice job you two!!! Can't wait to see Remy's owner come into the training picture, hope you film some of that.
Thanks, we will definitely share the process
I love how far she has come! You can see how much she trusts you! Still love how she does that shimmy to you..too funny!
Thank you
Great video!! Can’t believe how far she has come. She was so accepting of the tarp. Very impressive. Can’t wait to get up there. We are missing her❤❤
Rocking it! It will be soon you’ll be here and rocking.
Nice job. She really needed you to show her a better way.
Thank you
That horse is SO connected to you, how will you ever transfer this special unique horse to another person?
Just like we do the rest of them, time and effort
Such impressive horse training, thank you so much for sharing!
You are so kind
Amazing how an old tarp combined with your feel can help a horse come through a mentally challenging obstacle and prepare for similar opportunities in its future. Thanks again for this series!!
Thanks buddy!
Is so beautiful to see this. Love building trust in herself and you.❤❤❤
Thank you
Great video! Excellent job working with Remmy! God bless❤️
Thank you!
Very good Sir.
So nice of you
Remy has made so much progress. Do you at this stage of her training have an idea of what she would be best used for?
Her owner wants to do dressage one day.
Wow, just Wow!!!
Thank you
Special indeed. Great work
Many thanks!
Every time I see you working with Remy I'm struck again with how gorgeous she is 😍
Right?!
Amazing. Love it. Yes indeed, very special. ❤
It really is!
Great information. Thank You
Our pleasure!
Team Reemy! Yeah!
🎉🎉🎉
A good mind there.
Yes
Love it, JB. Have a great time at RTTH.
Thank you!
I have a question about the biting after touching you, previously. Did you ignore it or react to it in some way? What would be the most constructive way to handle that?
When she did the big jump on me bite into the chest the one time she got “whacked” hard immediately for that. Once I put together the pattern of the touch the hand then try and nip/bite I just didn’t have that happen so I didn’t have to do anything. She needed ways to be around me and not think about getting into pressure or a correction.
This worked out fine, but its not ideal to have the horse running in panic (when the rope got caught the first time), and I hope people watching can understand how in those circumstances, things can go very bad. The horse could run into the fence and injure themselves, try and jump over the fence, or otherwise act irrationally in panic. Their brains don't learn anything in panic mode. Its better to avoid triggering that, but of course horse training is unpredictable and things happen. Luckily here the area was safe and no one was hurt
Horses learn the most in that moment actually. Most people just aren’t prepared to handle it or have the facilities to back it up. It also is where it can go the worst wrong. Pressure was a 7-8 in this moment, the release and relief felt was then a 7-8 which means so much more than just 1 or 2. It’s the whole point of the tarp work how we are doing it. But yes, the prep work before we do it keeps it from them going so hard they hurt themselves and not being able to figure the puzzle out in a timely manner, so they don’t stay bothered too long.
15:05 Ah yes, the familiar scenario where an SUV driver feels so falsely safe they stop feeling the fear of accidents while driving a 2 tonne lump of rigid steel lacking a crumple zone and drive accordingly. 'What do you mean I have to give right of way, can't everyone see I have a 14" lift kit installed?'.
Edit: No shade at you, rural people need a rural vehicle and tradies need trade vehicles, but city people don't need to drive these death machines for aesthetics reasons when they are also so heavily susceptible to 'SUV autopilot syndrome'.
😂😂 none taken. My Jeep is only a 4” lift and goes off road. 😂
Jake, Remmy loves you…..actually I think she adores you. I’m not sure she’s going to want to go home you know.
Thank you, we love her back.
Right at the beginning you made three whopping mistakes .. so I stopped watching….. one, you let the mare walk into your space, two, you step back (she made you move your feet, & then to add insult to injury, you petted her on the nose ……😮
Such internet experts!
Can you put a link to your youtube channel or your training business, please?
Did you watch all the episodes of this horse, or is this the first one? If you didnt watch where this horse was at when he got her in... you have no tight to eaven speak.
Hi, I train Olympic riders, world champions, and leave tomorrow to coach a participant in Road To The Horse. You don’t know what you’re talking about and should be more careful saying foolish things in public. But our wonderful supporters already spoke up for us so thanks team. #nobulliesallowed

So Jake, my daughter and I went out to antelope Island for a ride, we go out there all the time, but apparently we were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Never had a buffalo charge us, but this one was young and new. We never get up close, cuz of course there big and wild. So now my mare and I and my daughter and her gelding are traumatized, how do you break that. 🦬💔😭🐎🐎
I am confused. A buffalo charged you? Your horse ran away? Sounds like she made the right choice. The aftermath is the question.
@@lisazappolo9989 yes, I've never had that happen in all the years I've been out there. The patrol officer said he was a youngster, it was a dumb truck that startled, him, and the first thing he saw was me and my daughter coming on horses, thinking we made that noise. Both of us are pretty shook up, we might just give the island a break for awhile.
Time, patience and approach and retreat. Hang in there!
