I’m really enjoying this project. I just love how much effort you put into helping the horse not feel wrong so much. One of my first riding lessons was with an instructor that stood in the center of the arena SHOUTING what not to do for an hour. Try as I might, I could almost never figure out what the right thing was! Horses must feel that way too!
Loving watching the progression. I so appreciate the patience and listening to the horse. She so deserves this chance.
I really love this mare. Some of this was hard for her but you can really see that she wants so badly to understand and her brain is working working working… that incremental consistency and patience is so crucial for a horse like this that has been so confused and scared and just has no idea what the rules are or who to trust. She strikes me as a deep thinker but luckily not too introverted. I said it on the last video but again I just think she’s so fortunate to have been turned over to you and Ryan! Those moments where what you’re teaching “clicks” are so rewarding, even through the screen, and I’m so impressed and pleased with the way you notice and acknowledge even the slightest move in the right direction. What you said about essentially reparenting this horse is so spot on… I’ve never heard a trainer put it quite that way but it’s exactly what’s needed. Looking forward to the next installment!
Ps - Another poster mentioned the video was blurry but for me it wasn’t so May have been an issue on their end
Viewer probably accidentally had the video set to a low viewing resolution, instead of HD.
So pleased to see Remi learning to trust, with compassionate and knowledgeable hands. Gratitude!❤
This is a mare that needs a lot of time and patience, I’m really glad to see her getting what she needs. I think she’s going to be a great little horse once she learns to trust and understand.
I'm so glad to see her getting the slower training she needs. I commented on Ryan's video that I got a 4 y/o unbroke mare in August from the same kill pen as this mare. I didn't start trying to ride her until the end of November. She needed that time to decompress, be tamed, and learn to trust me and my intentions first. I couldn't believe in Ryan's video that this horse was so scared to just be touched, and they were trying to ride her
It’s crazy what some people try and ride. It’s great your horse got that time to decompress.
I really like this series! Really like the mare a lot. You’re full of great information.
Love her!
I enjoy watching your videos and have learned from your techniques. But the 360 camera distorts a lot and is weird to watch for me.
@@peartreeranchhave you tried the pivo equestrian version for filming?
Really like this mare. Her actions are quick and distrustful, but she seems to be able to think when given a chaance! Enjoyed watching your approach and the positive effect it had. The owner has put her mare in good hands! She is being given a chance to become a partner with a human.....I do need to mention that your video came across very blurry.....like out of focus! Kind of hard on my old eyes!
Try going into the settings (tap the video and then tap the symbol that looks like a gear) and change the Quality setting to a higher value.
Thank you! Video quality is something on your end. Maybe internet speed or settings.
I’m truly enjoying Remi’s journey. I truly appreciate how you read the horse using patience and know knowing when to back off, the quiet manner and voice you use. Never rushing and allowing the horse to understand what you want. I’ve seen some horrible treatment of horses which I was very lucky to have a teacher who really understood horses. Once you gain their trust you will have a willing partner.
"When they lower their head ,blood rushes to their brain,,,,,," yes. You are funny and wise.
So glad to hear you say you don't like leaving halters on. It's not safe for the horse and it's a lazy cheat for the humans.
What a great video! I love seeing your patience and compassion with this beautiful horse. ❤️
I like the way you rub the flag on him. Not using it to spook him. Later using it to Guide him. Others use the flag to spook the Horse to go the way you want him to go.
Is the property next door for sale? I'm going to move there so I can watch you work horses all day long! Thank you for the video content!
If everyone had you for a dad the world would be a much better place.
I love your pens! fabulous airflow ,light, and shade and windbreak. Of course your horse work is excellent.
Awesome video thanks. And I really appreciate your teaching methods.
I’m new to your channel, love your style and your training methods. Good job.
I'm also new. I love watching these training videos. I don't have a horse, but love these.
Jake another great video!! It is so nice to hear your explanation about every movement. This helps me tremendously because this is where I was getting stuck. So glad REMi has found your program and we are excited to see her progression. Great job. So cool 😊
With just pushing the dirt, it looks like she said, hey' let's get on with it already 😊
I haven't seen a method like yours. Thanks for sharing it and your thoughts for the reasoning behind the method.
I’ve never seen this technique to lower the head and neck. I’m surprised the horse caught on so quickly, I thought it would be confusing to the horse. Anxious to see how you build on this.
Thanks. It is covered in our bare minimum ground work series as well how it ties into other things we will do with the horse.
Are you “painting” the paint horse?so that’s how they get made. 😂 And how do I find an extra long flag? I have a spicy jalapeño of a filly.
I guess I don't quite understand what you were doing with the flag whipping in the horses face? Can you please explain what that was about?
Well it teaches confidence and yielding. The horse learned to put its head down. I recommend you watch our bare minimum ground work series it explains it in that video even more than I did in this video.
Why cant you just teach the same thing with the halter? Can you imagine having flag in your face. I feel like i get it but i not sure if i like it coz you can do the same result with halter. I definitely want to understand your tjoughts on this? Cheers! @peartreeranch
@@user-qb9ov6rk2t you don’t get the same thing g with the halter as that’s steady pressure. This is herding pressure to teach and then the flag is noise creating the perception of duress and the horse has the opportunity to choose head down. The flag works at a much greater distance than just the halter and the. Can be used as another way to communicate at distance. I can imagine having the flag in my face and I’d be a good horse and put my face down. Same as standing up too fast after hooking up a gooseneck trailer and hitting your head. Or learning the discomfort of a diaper load and learning to use the toilet to avoid the discomfort. Lots of examples of the same idea. Discomfort causes change.
This clickbait does not fit the channel and the horse...
Look up Ryan Rose. He started with this horse and it was a bucker. He worked building trust and then this guy carries on the work. You don't want to get the horse to buck. You want to build trust and confidence to deal with situations
There is a fine line between encouraging and pushing. It's a pleasure to see you show this and how you read the horse so well.
Thanks so much
