The Great Wall did witnessed lots of history and has been witnessing more, and we welcome friends all around the world come to China, and come to meet Great Wall!😊
Thanks for your sharing🙏 A great video showing THE greatest wonder of the world! You’re heroes now as there is a sign on the Great Wall saying “you’re not a hero if you haven’t been to the Great Wall”.
Since the 7th to 8th century BC, the Great Wall has been continuously constructed for over 2000 years. Around 220 BC, Emperor Qin Shi Huang ordered the connection of some scattered defense structures built earlier into a complete defense system to resist invasion from the north. Emperor Qin Shi Huang used nearly a million laborers to build the Great Wall, accounting for one twentieth of the total population of the country at that time. The construction of the Great Wall continued until the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), finally becoming the world's largest military facility. According to historical records, more than 20 feudal states and dynasties have built the Great Wall. If we add up the Great Wall built in different eras, it is over 50,000 kilometers long. Among them, the Great Wall built in the Qin, Han, Jin, and Ming dynasties all exceeded 5,000 kilometers in length.
I love mainland China,I'm oversea Chinese never be there, when I was young I don't like holidays in china because brainwashed by western media, now too late feel tired to travel.
impressive :) I have never been to Beijing. I hope to have the opportunity to visit in the future. Thank you for your video. All of my western friends who made visits to China came back with extremely high praises on China, on every aspect, such as friendliness of the people, the obvious and overt displays of happiness and satisfaction with their lives, the amount of true freedom enjoyed by the people and the food.Over here you will see friendly people, who want to take pictures with you, superb infrastructure, very conveniences to go around from city to city.Have fun in China..
China invented gun powder, missiles, automatic continuous arrow gun and compass that can be used to attack and overwhelm the enemies but instead of building a lot of offensive deadly weapons, it create and sacrificed a lot of resources to build a giant long wall so that China and opponents cannot attack each other. 😅
You get the point. In 15th century ,Zhang ho sailed to east with mighty army. But he didn’t invade and colonize other countries in South Asia and Africa.
Zhang Ho sailed to the west with mighty army of Ming dynasty in 15th century, and he didn’t invade and colonize other countries in South Asia and Africa.
The widest distance across UK is 500 km and the distance from north to south is 1000 km. The great wall is 21000 km long. It's also 1.5 times the flying distance between the longest flight from Los Angeles to Singapore... It takes 17 months to walk the wall
The Great Wall shows the result of the collective efforts of generations of people. The wall was built in phases throughout all the rich dynasties of China to ward off the Mongols from the North and indirectly forcing the nomads to shift their focus towards Europe (basically screwing the Europeans over). Most of the wall are not as we can see in the touristy area, instead almost half of the wall are just a thin wall stacked up meters high (Han Great Wall) as the main purpose of the wall is to stop or slow down the Mongol's horse riders to save time for the army to make a response. The oldest parts of the wall was built by various nation states as early as the 7th century BC during the Spring and Autumn period and later the Warring States period, only then after China had been unified for the first time during the Qin dynasty the wall was linked together to form a northern border. After the Qin was replaced by the Han, they extended the territory to the west (now around Gansu and Xinjiang) to protect the newly formed Silk Road and the wall was extended into the desert. This marks the furthest extend of the wall and it was built and rebuilt by many dynasties to come but none of them make significant changes to it. Only during the Ming dynasty after losing the upper hand towards the northern tribes they started to construct a stronger wall that we can see nice and beautiful now.
I hiked almost every weekend in the Great Wall area during covid time in 2020 because we were stucked in Beijing. That was so much fun and memorable, and explored so many sections of Great Wall. Amazing, mind blowing, how they can built such a hugh long wall thousands of years ago hardly any advance tools and machineries on such a rugged hills. Beyond imagination, no words enough to define for this amazement.

Great adventure! I went to the Great Wall in summer and it was absolutely PACKED! You should definitely see the Terracotta Warriors if you get the chance, one of my favorite experiences in China.
Heytea is one of my favourite! Their specialty is that cream cheese foam topping on some of their teas. Highly recommend you guys visit the JingShan park, actually it’s “the little hill and the little tower”you pointed in the forbidden city. If you get to the top of that hill, the massive buildings of the forbidden city will be spread in the horizon. It’s so fun to slide down the hill from the Great Wall😅 It IS insane😱
I plan to bring my daughter there this summer 😏
SO fun!! 🤩
beautiful couples, nice trip.
Aww thanks 🥰
Thanks for your sharing🙏 A great video showing THE greatest wonder of the world! You’re heroes now as there is a sign on the Great Wall saying “you’re not a hero if you haven’t been to the Great Wall”.
Ah that’s so kind, thank you ☺️
You're so lucky to visit this amazing wonder of the world!!
It was beyond incredible 🥰
Been following your videos since Shanghai, amazing videos 😍 kia ora from New Zealand 🇳🇿
We’re glad you’ve joined us on our China journey 🥰
And now Mr. Trump was trying to build a Great Wall of the USA to fence off the invcasion of illlegal immigrants lol.
Thank you for loving my country so much ,enjoy your stay
I love mainland China,I'm oversea Chinese never be there, when I was young I don't like holidays in china because brainwashed by western media, now too late feel tired to travel.
We’ve enjoyed our trips to China ☺️
impressive :) I have never been to Beijing. I hope to have the opportunity to visit in the future. Thank you for your video. All of my western friends who made visits to China came back with extremely high praises on China, on every
aspect, such as friendliness of the people, the obvious and overt displays of happiness and satisfaction with
their lives, the amount of true freedom enjoyed by the people and the food.Over here you will see
friendly people, who want to take pictures with you, superb infrastructure, very conveniences to go around from
city to city.Have fun in China..
We have had some of the best travel memories from China and thoroughly enjoyed our time here 🥰🥰
China invented gun powder, missiles, automatic continuous arrow gun and compass that can be used to attack and overwhelm the enemies but instead of building a lot of offensive deadly weapons, it create and sacrificed a lot of resources to build a giant long wall so that China and opponents cannot attack each other. 😅
Because Chinese people love peace
Yes Chinese ppl are hardworking like that. Okay maybe a bit too much.
🤣🤣🤣
@@zackk4969 a lot of Taiwanese go to China averyday. It proof you never go to China or Taiwan. 🤣
💖China is the Future💖China Is doing an Excellent Super Great Jobs 💖China is the Best Country in the World today👏👏
Peaceful country without warlords
The widest distance across UK is 500 km and the distance from north to south is 1000 km. The great wall is 21000 km long. It's also 1.5 times the flying distance between the longest flight from Los Angeles to Singapore... It takes 17 months to walk the wall
Woah 😦
even if im a chinese, but 😮
Are you sure it is that long ? 😂 never heard about .
Is that true😂😂😂
Look at them Blue Sky. Wonderful weather for a stroll on the Great Wall Of China!
It was epic 🥰🥰
"Separated we are weak, united we are strong." The Great Wall of China is an ever-lasting monument demonstrating the united power of mankind.
I had the same sentiment as you when I was on the Great Wall, I was moved to tears.
Sometimes you ended up camping in the watchtower, sometimes you ended up in some small village of middle of nowhere where. I’m really glad that you enjoyed the trip! ❤ Keep up the good vibes!
That’s such a cool experience. 👍
Wow that’s so cool 😎
Shanghai and Beijing are both great cities, but don't forget to visit Guangzhou, I'm living there, if possible I'd like to meet you two 😊
We would love to visit 🥰
真的太有趣了,滑板车的感觉让我回到了童年
In fact all China cities are worth visiting. Depending what you are interested. I have been to more than 30 Chinese cities and I love them all.
@@sunkissedbucketlisthighly recommend Cantonese food to you. Although I’m from Beijing, I love all the food in Guangzhou
@@sunkissedbucketlistAnd if you’re still in Beijing, it’s worthwhile to try the roasted duck in Sijiminfu roasted duck restaurant. For me it’s the best roasted duck restaurant in Beijing 😊
NICE THANK FOR SHARING
Thanks for watching 👍🏻🤩
It is always so touching to see the GREAT WALL and the long term history behind it. I'm very proud of our hardworking brave ancestors as a Chinese😢
The Great Wall is truly remarkable 🤩
Wonderful seeing how much you are enjoying your trip here in China. That toboggan looked like so much fun. Excited to see where you're going next. Milk tea (Nai Cha) is the new coffee in China there are so many different outlets and varieties to choose from. My guess is you'll be heading to Harbin next 😉😉
Stay tuned to find out 🥰
After watching several videos of yours, now I am addicted to your channel. 😂😂. Thank you for sharing your trip to the Great Wall of China. FYI : it took around 200 years to built this amazing structure . Haven’t been there yet but hopefully soon this year. Anyway glad you guys are enjoying your trip to China. All the best and please stay safe. Cheers! ❤
We’re glad you’re enjoying the videos 🥰☺️
Wonderful video 👍😊
Thank you 🤩
The view would be a lot better there in the Spring when flowers are blooming and trees are green along the Great Wall
That’s a plus for visiting in spring for sure, but there’s still so much raw beauty in the winter ☺️
Amazing, mind blowing, how they can built such a hugh long wall thousands of years ago hardly any advance tools and machineries on such a rugged hills. Beyond imagination, no words enough to define for this amazement.
all by manpower
King of infrastructure
It was a surreal experience 🥰🥰
You two epitomize the spirit of venturing out, exploring the world, comprehending cultural nuances, and reserving judgment until you've witnessed things firsthand. Amazing videos!
Great adventure! I went to the Great Wall in summer and it was absolutely PACKED! You should definitely see the Terracotta Warriors if you get the chance, one of my favorite experiences in China.
We would love to 🥰
Thank you so much for praising my country China. Love you both!
Hi guys, this video is so amazing covering The Wall of China. The scenery is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing and take care and stay safe.
Thanks Linda! It was incredible to see this wonder of the world ☺️🤩
The scenery is so beautiful. Thank you for bringing this video
Hey tea is the one of the biggest (if not the biggest) tea chain in China. They have tea mix wiht cheese.
You do the best travel videos by far! Your videos next best thing to being there! Thanks from Canada.
Aww thanks for the kind words 🥰
VERY VERY HAPPY DAY
Same to you ☺️
The red round circle thing of the topping in that dessert bowl is the slices of dried dates.
I remember when I first got to the wall, it made me feel so small. the only other time I had that feeling was visiting the grand canyon.
Heytea is one of my favourite! Their specialty is that cream cheese foam topping on some of their teas. At first ,this concept may seem a bit weird but really its taste really just reminds one of a cheesecake except foamy, paired with fruit ! Delicious! You can adjust the sugar level and ice level in your order as well.
Interesting! 🤔
Thank you for filming this beautiful video the Great Wall of China. I have been there several times and each time I stand in awe. I take liberty to echo someone's comment:_
If there could only be one wonder of the world, it has to be the Great Wall of China. Congratulations on a job well done.
Very well said, we will never forget our experience of visiting the Great Wall 🥰🥰
you two are so joyful and fun to warch . the other Scottish couple were on the same trip were little complaintive 😂😂
Ah thanks, really appreciate it ☺️ we had an amazing time ✌🏻
Good couples know how to enjoy life

Ah thanks so much ☺️
How cute the Coconut Ice girl was. So lovely💓.
She was the sweetest 🥰
Love you two❤
Thanks 🤩
I’ve just binged watched the China series 🎉🎉🎉
Hope you loved it 🥰
Great video! would've been better if you shot it in 4k, but still it looked absolutely amazing!
Highly recommend you guys visit the JingShan park, actually it’s “the little hill and the little tower”you pointed in the forbidden city. If you get to the top of that hill, the massive buildings of the forbidden city will be spread in the horizon. Especially in a winter afternoon, the sunlight reflect on the golden roof and ice which is absolutely gorgeous sight. Recommendation from a native Beijinger 😉
Oh wow that sounds beautiful 😍
this season is absolutely perfect! nobody's there, and you can enjoy this magnificent wall for your own.
We had the most incredible time 🤩
We hope you have a great time 🥰
Hey tea is A really good choice!! don't miss it!!!~~~~
Yes once a seventh wonder, always a seventh wonder. I’m so glad you guys are positive about your adventure.
It was such an amazing experience 🤩
Another heaven-like place to visit is Zhangjiajie where the movie Avatar based their floating mountains from. If you're lucky in optimum conditions when partial fogs cover but you can still see the horizon - that's heaven-like, not forgetting the 999 steps up to Tianmen (Heaven's Gate) too.
Thanks for the suggestion 🤩
the bobslide was fun, you should visit the summer palace, it's even more stunning.
Sounds like a great idea 🥰
❤ Libby .... we LOVE the way both of you interact with us (viewers) ....
You've the magical charms making us MESMERiSiNG (bringing us into your tours in China)

Aww thanks for the kind words 🥰
Made me smile from start to finish! I went there in 2014 and up to this day I remember how fun it was to ride the toboggan going down. Hope you guys didn't miss the Summer Palace. 798 Art Zone and Shichahai/Houhai area are also cool spots!
Thanks for the suggestions and we’re glad you liked the vlog 🥰
Hi you guys#you are touching the old stone is over two thundered years ago wow its so great China why you is so beautiful?

❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
Thank you 🤩
Fantastic !
🥰🤩
Lovely to see my hometown in your videos, I have not been back for years and it has changed so much! Warm greetings from your home country lol!
Thanks you
Wow! An experience so fascinating.
You nearly owned the Great Wall that day.
Was there at Badaling few days back.
Crowded with temperature at -0° the strong wind denied the cable car ride taking in the sights on the way up.
Seems the force of the wind can swing the cable car to somewhat wuthering height endangering ourselves.
Taking a selfie, the howling wind feels like it's gonna flip you on your back.
The Great Wall of China, simply amazing.
An experience to savour.
It was an experience we will never forget 🥰🥰
@@sunkissedbucketlist
I've never experienced what's -0° cold until now.
Back at home now with frost bites.
An Unimaginable China to explore.
Will be back there in the future with Harbin (ice-city -17°) in mind.
wow, amazing, i hope to visit this incredible wonder of the world one day!!!
You should definitely check it out 🥰
I want to go there. The length of this things is insane… a sight I am sure you will never forget.
It was amazing to see, truly surreal ☺️😮
The little red circles are slices of red dates, which also make great tea. Very healthy.
I had the exact same feeling standing on that wall for the first time. Wow!!
Isn’t it the most unreal feeling ever 🥰🥰
Love your video!!! I only went to the Great wall when I was a child, bring all my happy memories back. To answer your question, the Great wall of China took total more than 2000 years to complete.
That is awesome! ☺️
So cold! And no place to hide. Thank you!
Super chilly but still had the best time ☺️❄️
You have both convinced me. The Great Wall of China is now in my bucket list when I travel to China later in the year. Continue to have fun.
We hope you have the most amazing time there ☺️🥰
I'm planning my trip to China and watching all your videos, loving them! Could you tell me which tour to the Great Wall you hire? I haven't seen none like this ( with the east-west in the same tour ). Great job, guys! Hi from Brasil
I am Chinese and living in South China. Feel free and let me know if you need some help maybe. And welcome to China
Oh, you passed the hey tea. That is one of the best one though. There always long line when they first open the shop back then
We will check it out soon 🙃
Great Wall was for defence 😊
That’s what we heard 👍🏻 what an incredible sight once you see it in real life 🥰
是的,中国人的天性是保护自己而非攻击敌人,比如长城,比如现在网络上的防火墙。
Thanks so much for the beautiful video guys! Frankly the tear came to my eyes when I saw the spectacular views of the Great Wall in your video. The view is just so AMAZING and GRAND! It's just beyond my imagination! 😲👍👍👍👍👍👍
I am just speechless !
We were lost for words when we saw the view for the first time, it’s just so beautiful 🤩
Best video ever 🎉🎉🎉

I just discovered your channel and really enjoyign your videos! I love how positive and down to earth you both are, content that you created in China is amazing! I am visiting China in 2 weeks and was wondering if you could share where your bum bags (slings) are from please? Great idea to keep valuables safe. Thank you!
Ah thank you so much! That’s super kind and we hope you have the best trip! Taz got his from Indonesia and Libby’s is from Vietnam. Both in markets 😁
I climbed the Great Wall of China back when I was probably 9, the wind up there was CRAZY STRONG I always thought I’d get blown away lolol
Oh wow that sounds crazy haha 😛
Can not stop watching your travel at China
😊😊😊
You guys really had some fun here.
We certainly did ☺️
China is so good
I suggest you go to Harbin, China in the past few days to see the ice and snow park. It will make you feel incredible and not like you are on earth. Don’t miss it.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO! HAVE A GREAT DAY!
Thanks for watching ☺️
You chose a very good season! I brought my aunt to the same section of the great wall in the spring festival this year and we climbed all the way - it was fun but living for decades in the city I haven't realized there are still so many people in Beijing during the spring festival holidays... ...
BRILLIANT!! Love your China videos!!
