My biggest takeaway from this was actually drawing her massive ears first then half-covering them with hair. It's just like learning anatomy where you can draw bones then muscles then skin. This way makes her ears actually look like how she hears things rather than just being a fantasy element, if that makes any sense. Physically grounded and extremely satisfying in a way that I really can't explain.
I know what you mean, I used her ears to help show her emotion, also I never realised how big her ears were before this haha, Thanks for the comment Sproga
your videos stun me everytime i watch them, as someone who is struggling to get past a certain level in art, these videos really help motivate me to keep practicing. thank you for the video ✨
That makes me so happy to hear, everyone think the hardest part of learning to draw is the start, but for me it has been and still is the middle stage! Keep at it Parufraise you got this! ❤️
I feel EXACTLY the same, I went on a 3 month trip around Europe after reading the manga, it’s a brilliantly story and the world created matches it perfectly. Thanks for the nice comment Tour ❤️
Wow thanks for the compliment, I always get lost while watching art videos, so I try to make mine simple to follow, I appreciate you noticing it Camo! ❤️
Watching this video was incredible and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your artistic study process. I used the audio track in Portuguese (Brazil), if possible I would love it if your content continued to be available with this option.
Thanks Freddy, I actually stream almost every week on Twitch if you ever wanna pop over and say hi, I am thinking about streaming on TH-cam at some point too though. Thanks again for the nice comment ❤️
Great job, I liked the winter scene a lot! ☺ When you said you weren't satisfied with the composition, this problem can happen if you start sketching from solids (cylinders, boxes). I hear many professional artists recommend drawing loosely first, and only correcting the body/perspective/etc. once the picture is coming together in other aspects. It's a conundrum, right? Everyone knows the construction method is the way to go, but then you may end up with a stiff pose. To me this is why art is so hard, you need to know so much and mix the methods, and know when to use which one!😆
Wow thanks for the advice Yavnrh, I think your bang on with what you are saying, i’ve noticed myself that I much prefer my results when starting off with a loose sketch. Thanks again for the advice. I really appreciate it. ❤️
Horizontally, as they're in the center in the "left-to-right" measurements. You can have them at the bottom or at the top of the canvas and still be horizontally centered.
Haha working full-time definitely delays the videos, my goal for next year is to get way more videos out so hopefully you’re not waiting as long for the next one 😂
@@CalebArty I knew I saw something! honestly, I didn't get a good look at the previous one but this new one definitely caught my attention (even if only because I thought I was tripping) so I can't really say which I prefer. thanks for asking though!
Thanks for watching guys,
Just realised I said horizontally instead of vertically, sorry about that I'm dumb.
I remember having that misconception for over a year
