@勝子 actually in yan sim when the game will be completed the rivals will fall inlove with taro for different reasons and in different weeks, for an example Amai fall inlove with taro after she invited him to cook in her club to cheer him up since in a way or another you eliminated Osana (like killing her, ruining her reputation ecc..) so it actually make more sense then the actual stereotype

An anime about protag slowly gaining memories from his alternate-reality selves and transitioning into the ultimate fourth wall breaking god-like generic boy who understands his existence throughout many different worlds serves only to amuse those which bring him to life and control him
the 13 year old protag dresses in a crop top and booty shorts meanwhile the 40 year old mom is wearing something like pastel overalls and neon tennis shoes :P so fucking annoying
The, “Boring average protagonist trope” was definitely blown away by Tadano in Komi-San can’t communicate. The simple act of adding a flower in his hair and his mini circle eyes definitely was simply, but made him stand out.
Yeah, i agree. I mean his design is so simple yet the small additions make him stand out way more than other protagonists. Also his personality too actually exists, like we see why he acts like that now, he isn't a creep, and he isn't constantly surrounded by women. Which i find very nice for a protag
Ugh the worst trope is when the main chatacter instantly lusts after some newly introduced person (who is usually a girl with a monotone voice and eyes so glossy you want to wipe them) and it's not serving any purpose to the plot or any character arc 🤦♂️
@@francisconavarretmoore9226 read the chainsaw man manga I couldn’t even get past chapter 12 because the MC was such a simp (I’m probably going to watch a little bit of the show when it comes out though because who doesn’t want to see a guy with a chainsaw head?)
The worst part about the first trope is when every character in the anime insists that bland character man is the most handsome/heroic/intelligent/special boy but hes just... a boring dude
A mark of universal laziness in writing, the wish-fulfillment character for the writer who can't motivate themselves to write another way. It's not just the target audience the character is meant to represent, it's the writer trying to make up for their life in high school. What's bleakly funny is when that becomes the norm and people who don't have that need end up writing the same type of default character.
I definitely get what you mean, but its usually about marketing. Its pretty difficult for a number of anime to make real money or get more seasons, so they must sell to their key demographic audience, which is plain Japanese dudes, so a lot of MCs (at least in harem/slice of life) are plain Japanese dudes so they can put themselves in their shoes easily. If there are at least slight variations and the characters arent outright unlikable, it usually doesnt bother me
And it’s the kind of font that all looks the same. Like “times new Roman “ Or like “new Roman” like basically the same thing but slightly slanted or something lmao
The Tsundere They're the same, it pisses me off: 1- They are always screaming at the main character; 2- Even when they same them, they hit them and blush after; 3- Act lik the sweetest human being ever when around anyone other than their punching bag; 4- Always secretly likes the main character. ( Just remembered this comment and funny thing is that I love this trop now lmao )

Damn i saw some tsundere, but theyre just like "Who the hell are you, we're not buddies, dont get close to me!" Sort of conversation But then we get to know more about them and then become besties Doesnt resort to violence rightaway, and actually pretty likeable person Some do those blush and get angry a bit but thats that, or some of the type who actually blush with angry face then try to move on from that They kind of being a bit honest and open to you. good stuff, i dont like getting beat 24/7 just because i want to hang out If they like you, they'll tell you that in indirect way, but obvs you know Im simping so hard on [redacted] He doesnt act like sht when/after we saved him Hot as hel-
Oh i got one: when there is a female character that is said to be this amazing super powerful character and literally the best fighter/mage bla bla bla, but at the second that the male protag comes around she is instantly nurfed and becomes the damsel in distress.

For me the most annoying trope is the little sister who has a crush on her older brother. The trope also gets treated by the other characters in the anime like it's not weird and like it's perfectly normal even if its literally incest. In general It just makes me uncomfortable and sometimes make me drop the anime.
@@graceclements7179 at least the other characters don’t treat it like it’s normal. Tdlosk is meant to poke fun at anime tropes (every character but saiki represents a common trope) so is put it in a different category
In spyxfamily its younger brother that falls for older sister. At least most people treat it as weird(except Yor, cause she doesn't realize how weird it is)
I honestly never understood the "boring mediocre character" that we're supposed to imagine ourselves as. How am I supposed to relate to someone with zero personality? I just wish that trope would die lol
Stella15535 I think Mob's blandness has the opposite effect because of how refreshing it looks. Most anime use generic "cute" designs to appeal to a broader audience, which often makes the characters seem static. The token male protag technically looks nice but needs imperfections to avoid being bland. ONE, however, hasn't developed a style meant for mass appeal and dares to go overboard with the expressions! The anime also pays attention to body language.
I personally hate it when the love interest, (guy or girl) is super mean to the main character or lets the main character be mean to them while still wanting to be with them. I dont watch romance anime but I see this in pretty much any anime I watch. like, can the main character and love interest just have a healthy relationship and good chemistry without acting like they hate each other or being overly shy?
I mean I can see where it comes from, this is really stupid, but I feel like if I ever got in a relationship I would be a tsundere😭😭 (I don't want a relationship though tbh) But that's mainly bc I get embarrassed really easy to the point where I'd throw up if someone listens to one of my favourite songs and don't seem to like it. From what I've seen with Tsunderes, they get embarrassed, but it is still rlly cliche.
My problem is realistic guys vs fantasy girls. All guys have dirty blond to black hair styles, but girls go full rainbow with hair and eyes. You look at the line up and it's literally guys from mars, girls from utopia.
@@SparDanger I think the point here is that it's the design norm for women to have neon, oddball hair and eye colors, while most of the men look boring as shit in that department
@Joëlle Weetjewel Men in shounen anime tend to have really long hair, spiky hair, etc. The comment was about colors, and non-bland hair color on men in shounen tends to be either a way to make an oddball stand out or evidence of some sort of "evolution". It's unusual, is the point.
@@SparDanger "one of my female co-workers" Girls talked about are mostly hs girls in japan - no way they can get this shit dyed rainbow colors and no way it would be normal. Most girls who dye their hair do it in their 20s when they get independent from their parent and it's still not like you see 90% of the women doing this. It's 20% at best. Either you do everything crazy or nothin, cmon japan.
This trope usually appears in Fairy Tail.. when the main characters fight a really strong enemy afterwards become allies with them afterwards the "enemy turned ally" suddenly becomes weak asf when fighting another character.. like didnt they train for years? After being beaten once they magically just downgraded lmao
@@imjusttired1906 ikrr, its annoying af when they literally had the power to almost wipe the entire place and when they finally joined the good side they cant even defeat weak opponents.. they probably just did it tho to make the lead characters stand out more :/
I think an exception to this is when (spoilers to ATLA) zuko joins team avatar and his fire bending is crap because it was originally fueled by rage, but it's fixed same episode so it doesnt create too much of a problem
This happens because Japanese people have different standards on what being "fat" is. Apparently, 42 kg = fat to them (I'm not sure if it's exactly like that, but there is a difference in weight standards).
maybe because I'm Brazilian, usually we are more about voluptuous women (way before it became mainstream), what americans would call thicc nowadays lol, and these anime girls look like a bunch of stick figures and still they're called fat.
A twist on the "Little Demon Girl" trope: Actual, terrifying demon in a child's form that will randomly mess with people by turning their head 180 degrees or making their eyes bleed. Because that is EXACTLY what a child would do if they had demon powers. Add in a couple kid-ish "nyehehehehehehehe"s and we're good. Edit-- Another twist: the child acts completely like a normal child, and their caregiver's world flips upside down when they realize that the kid is genuinely a full-fledged demon lord, a capable army commander, and such. The series will revolve around the caregiver journeying through the demon world to get their kid back, only to realize that the kid has been using them to learn about the human world the whole time and is preparing to take over. The caregiver must now fight the very person they raised.
When you talked about how you’d like to see a “fan-service” character complain of back pain or something, I immediately thought of Yuri from Doki Doki Literature club, because that’s exactly what happens, it’s implied that her back pain is because of her... um... chest 😅 lots of anime girl tropes are made fun of in that game, it’s great
I thought of that too! One of my favourite moments in the game is in Monika’s room, one of her dialogue options has her talk about yanderes and how there’s one in the game. Yes, that’s right! It’s Yuri she’s talking about! 😂
The "bad girl" "cheerleader" thing This not only applies to almost every Disney TV show, but animes too. I'm tired of the "mean girl" thing. Yes there are bullies and mean people, but its over used and under explained.
I agree Red Messenger. But for some reason especially in Gacha stories (gacha life, gacha verse ,etc) the bullies are always spoiled brats its so annoying because not all Bullies are spoiled and wear girly dresses!
I actually tried making a goddess child. She looks like a child, but is the goddess of youth, so she just looks young. Also, I based her outfit on the Pope. Like, literally the Pope's outfit but with a cape. The reason why I chose to base it off the Pope was because I wanted to avoid the character being sexualized in any way, and I didn't want to put them in kid's clothes for the same reason. So I thought "who is the least sexual person I can think of?" I got the Pope.
@@AlsoNotimportant thanks. tbh, basing the character off of the Pope was initially a joke I made with a friend, but the idea just kind of stuck. I was ranting about what clothes the character should wear, because at first I thought about a Greek inspired outfit, but wasn't satisfied, and couldn't decide on an outfit. Then I got the Pope. It was hilarious, but it actually works.
You should try to read Sousou no Frieren, the main character is an elf that's why she looks like a child because elves doesn't age. There's even a character that basically a Pope, and she's also an elf.
@@dodo-uz4ct I looked up the story, and if you mean the one with pigtails, I entirely agree with the character looking like the Pope! It even kinda looks like my character! Except mine has a light brown bob cut, cape, and a longer white dress. There's other differences too, but looking at them both, they both look similar to the Pope.
I could say a "bold of you to assume" line, but I'll just say to keep doing what you do, having a passion is like keeping a fire. You got to feed it and keep it, until it can become big enough to last. Lots of fires of mine died out, and I haven't fed the art fire recently. Keeping imagining and creating, and maybe one day... You can kill someone with your passion.
Honestly, a “child” character that’s a billion year old god or whatever and has the basic personality of a grandma would be kinda funny. Like, she’d look like a kid, sure, but she’d dress and act like an elderly lady and pinch people’s cheeks and tell loooooong stories from when Civilization was first emerging, but she keeps telling the same stories, and she mixes stuff up or gets details wrong cuz she’s seen so much it’s hard to keep track off. She used to be this super badass person, but now she’s retired and she likes to just follow along on adventure of the younger generations cuz it’s fun and she’ll lend a hand (by being way too overpowered) so no one actually wants to travel with her, cuz she’s scaring everyone in her parties, so now she’s with the protagonist and their group of lovely misfit weirdos.
this reminds me of a character from a show called RWBY! (I’m sorry, I forget their name because I haven’t watched the show in awhile) but basically they give the rundown of how she was super-badass when she was younger, but now she’s old and kinda just tags along! she doesn’t appear until the later seasons, but I’d recommend it
YESSS IKR, they make 8-10 year olds act like hopeless little toddlers! Like wtf, even I remember being that age and being physically/ mentally dependent ON MYSELF because I knew better! They aren’t some babies calling for mommy
omg Your Lie in April! In the throwback scenes they look like 3 or 4 even though they‘re ment to be like 10. Then in their regular versions they‘re only 14 (even though they look more like 16) and there‘s no way they went from toddler to teenager in 4 years
The trope with the voluptuous punching bag is something that I despise with my entire being. It normalizes the idea that these people exist to be looked at, and if they do something to attract the male gaze, even if it’s something simple as jumping up and down, it’s their fault. I hate this, I have many memories of when I was in elementary school and as a kid I jumped up and down as a show of excitement. I was always reprimanded for doing so and I never knew why. And even now, doing things like playing jump rope, running, dancing or doing anything like that is seen as inappropriate, and then when I bring up to someone that I would like to get my chest removed, they think I shouldn’t do that or I should “think long and hard about my choice.” I’ve had my entire life to think about this choice, I’d be able to move without worry that someone is offended cause of how gravity naturally affects the chest. Then to see this being shown as a comedic punchline and something that’s ok to laugh at people for just rubs salt into the wound. I want this trope to die. Or at least, I’d like a better view on it. Like what you said about the busty character complaining about their back, that would be fun! Or the character getting angry at the people who sexualize her for something she can’t control, that would be interesting and relatable. Just… not what they’re doing now.
I’m so sorry doing such simple things like jump roping was even seen as inappropriate- that would really make someone with a big chest uncomfortable and make them feel like people always have their eyes on their chest. I personally have a flat chest. I at times wished I had a bigger chest because I have been made fun of for not having a bouncy chest. I see why people would say “re-think your decision.” Because there are going to be those people who will make fun of you for having no chest (at least that’s how I see it). I mean either way, having a big chest is uncomfortable and painful. Having a small chest just has other people calling you names. If you want to get rid of your chest go for it! I have heard that having a big chest gives a lot of back pain and such. If you want to feel comfortable, do what’s best for you! Either way, I’m sure you’ll be beautiful ❤️ Also…I really do find this anime trope very uncomfortable and it would add a little bit of realism if the big-chested character would show how painful it is to jump and such 😅
@@imtiny3935 It would also be nice to see some small chested anime girls more often and not only for them to be jealous of the big breasted anime girls. A women is more then just her breast size. Anime should be more diverse and they should also try to represent the female gender a bit more accurate and less like an ideal or stereotype. Would also be nice to see the anime girls with big breast also go through some neck or backpain like it is in real life. This anime trope really suck.
@@lemonsunshines601 I also somewhat find it a little annoying whenever a flat-chested character is only there to have jealousy over the big-chested character. I want the flat-chested character to just be there yk? And ya the trope does suck-
The abusive tsundere that is never held accountable for her actions, and the MC somehow falls for her anyway, despite her beating the shit outta him every five minutes.
Some stuff that rub me the wrong way: -The abusive tsundere -the females in fantasy usually wearing inappropriate or inadequate clothing -When the main guy in a harem is so boring and oblivious to all the girls crushing on him -When teenage female characters get ridiculously sexualised I have more but I don't want to make the comment too long-
Tbh if your character is a female warrior don't make her wear skin-showing stuff, her enemies are going to try to attack her on those places. Putting armor on her arms or legs doesn't actually make her more difficult to kill. (I mean, I have male characters doing the same shit Im complaining about, but they are demons so they don't die lol) That's just my opinion lmao
When a guy falls and accidentally touches a girls chest, the girl always hits him and calls him a pervert for something that happened on accident. I really hate it when it happens.
I feel like if that happened to someone in real life, both of them would blush intensely, the male would apologize, and both of them would want to get away as soon as possible
@@heardofrvb no, but I feel like ATLA still managed to work in some good jokes. Like Aang always says back in my day, or complains about how things changed.
@@doodleplayer4014 It's pretty common for kids to be upset when they are treated like kids. But the Collector is a good example where the trope actually works and isn't used for sexualisation.
The “child who’s actually an adult” trope, but it’s the other way around. A character who looks like an adult, and usually has, ummm, “exaggerated” features. But in reality, they’re 12.
This is one of the worst things in anime, in my opinion: when a girl physically abuses a boy and is taken as a joke, but when the boy yells at her, she cries and gets sad and everyone judges the boy for being a "very bad person", so now he has to apologize to her for not wanting her to treat him like shit, it's horrible and it disgusts me
The “ancient beings as little kids” trope is always sexualized and it’s super gross. The only time I can think of where it was legitimately done right was in Fullmetal Alchemist where the homunculus Pride was a little kid for narrative reasons, and instead of being cute or funny he was genuinely terrifying.
Yes!!! I also though of Soul Eater, when Medusa took over the body of a little girl for a period of time and was absolutely still as terrifying and not sexualized at all.
Is funny cause I don’t mind it in books or stories and I remember as a kid/teen writing about stuff where there were creatures that looked young but were old but it was just “yeah they age at a different rate than us” so they were either childlike still or if not no one else had an interest or sad them other than a kid and it was this thing where they didn’t want to be seen as s kid cause they’re 50 not 15. But in anime it just often is used as a cop out and for ulterior motives
I would love to see an Isekai where the main character is so bland in episode one, then in the special world he changes everything about himself to stand out. "Screw it, new world new me" the underlying message could be don't let anything hold you back from being who you want to be
Also should make them adapt to new surrounding, new culture and to learn from new experiences with a new way of thinking compared to before. Similar to how it is to move to another country. Just don't make every main character the same person all the time with no character progression. Most important for a MC is to not bore the viewers. Real life people are actually not that boring not even the average japanese man can be that bland and boring.
Or the protag is SO bland that it's actually used as the main narrative, like, they are so plain that they blend in with everything, your eyes just completely ignore him he's so bland. Due to this, he is able to become an ultra level spy and save the world with Sneak 100.
so basically kill youself to be special. I remember a story that had more the main character starting a life again, to well make up for their last one.
the reason the “average boring dude” trope is a thing, especially in romance and harem anime, is because it makes it easier for not very interesting male watchers to relate to him and put themselves into the main character’s situation. Basically, it’s for the losers.
Ouran highschool host club. Haruhi. Bland main character, but he’s a she, and has character. Her dad is a great guy, but a little overbearing. Her mom died like 10 years before.
Some of mine: -A female protagonist that way too kind that would let everyone step on her, forgive everyone even if that person literally almost killed her, a damsel in distress and for some reason always get into trouble and couldn't defend herself (there's nothing wrong with good character, I just wanna see more from them than just being an angle and being saved all the time) -A mean tsundere but for some reason her love interest think her cute and basically take all the insults and beating from her (I mean, saying 'stupid' is fine although it's kinda overused but beating their love interest up is more like a violence and not cute at all) -Unnecessary fanservice. Like come on, some characters even make weird sounds when they are eating?? That makes me very uncomfortable. Especially if it's a loli or little kid. Sometimes there's also unnecessary touching here and there like what- (I get it. People want fanservice. I enjoy it too but sometimes it's too much and basically unnecessary) -An overly optimistic, loud and stubborn as heck character that also the cause of 90% of the problems in the show. (I mean, being optimistic is cool but these characters always act without thinking and kinda make things even worse and sometimes didn't listen to others. It's worse if they are the protagonist. Idk, I just found it annoying) -A pervert character that basically exists only for pervert moments like fanservice or something (I dislike pervert character but it's fine to make them as long as make them more interesting like giving them a talent or something. I've seen good written pervert characters so it is not impossible) These are my opinions. No need to agree and disagree with anything and I'm sorry if I offended anybody __(:з」∠)__
One of my big ones is when the basic generic boy is gettin teased all the time by a girl and it's her only personality not even character development and the boy just says I hate her yet doesn't leave her or ignore instead falls in love
I would be so here for a really old, wise young looking character being patronised because their youthful appearance and they just end up being a salty vessel of rage
@@atanaZion maybe qI like the concept I said because of how common pervert characters are in quite a few animes, regardless of the genre of anime or the gender of said pervert character. And the idea of them getting called out and punished for harassing others makes me smile
Yeah it's disappointing especially since it could be so damn funny or horrific if utilised correctly, like, imagine this: Main characters are in trouble, about to be wrecked by massive number of enemies, then suddenly the little girl who said she was a demon lord and actually 3489 years old, her eyes go pitch black, mouth splits at the corners creating a demonic smile filled with too many sharp teeth. She begins floating and a void of black becomes an aura around her, casting her face into permeant shadow, pin prick red dots appear in the black and she suddenly disappears. She reappears right in front, hovering above the enemies, her form twists even more with disturbing flesh stretching and bone cracking sounds, she makes movements with her arms and as she does. The army of enemies gets absolutely DESIMATED. I'm talking a brutal STOMP. All gone within 5 minutes and that's only cause she was PLAYING. After the carnage, she just appears in her little girl form and casually walks back to the traumatised, frozen cast like nothing just happened. She never acknowledges this happening but you see her smile creepily when it's brought up.
Yeees omg I can't stand it! Also, maybe it's just me but I don't really like all the anime noises the always make?? Like "Eeeeeeh!?" really high-pitched or something. It's so annoying! But maybe that's just me
I have one exception for this one, and that’s girls last tour. The high pitched yet childish and kind of dead inside actually make the anime better in some circumstances. I’m hoping in not being biased just because I like the anime but yeah :’)
Oh my god that's the worse. Especially when the character is suppose to be the "cutesy uwu loli" who has no other personality than loving their "Senpai". Ugh.
There was actually this one hatsune Miku song about a girl who was turned into a vampire as a kid and she’s been alive for a long time, and she uses her cuteness to lure in victims, but she finds it frustrating how hard it makes her day to day life
too many animes are more focused on having attractive and sexualized female "characters" than having a good story. mob psycho was really good but it was sad to see that we've gotten to the point of "doesn't sexualize the high school girls" being a selling point that stands out. to me i think that should be the standard
One of my biggest pet peeves in animes is the main character that "battles" the character that has trained for years each day, and the main character that has never trained once, wins the battle and gains all of the popularity and attention.
6:09 As a particularly voluptuous young woman, I HATE this trope, particularly because of the bouncing thing. Whenever I meet someone (particularly a guy) who watches anime, he always expects my chest to bounce with the breeze. And I've had to explain to several gymnastics teachers that running is physically painful because of the weight coming down when they bounce, and that I don't have access to the type of undergarments that will help prevent that pain
I have B cups and running w/o a bra is painful, I can't imagine WHAT it might be like for you. OOF. I hope that you wake up one day and your chest and back don't hurt anymore (I can't solve the creepy anime-watcher problem, sorry.)

I dislike the “plain protagonist” trope only when every other character looks super unique and fun. Otherwise, I don’t mind it too much. One of my favorite animes is Clannad, and their main protagonist is very standard-looking, but the show itself takes place in a normal high school where everyone generally looks normal as well, so it’s not like he’s an exception.
Ikr he is so basic like every other character. The only characters I would say are really unique are Nagisa, Ushio and the gray haired girl( I forgot her name 😢)
I just want to say that Clannad's main protag only LOOKS plain. I absolutely love the guy cuz of how he acts. I don't really care about visual design of MC in general, since it can be kinda hard to make unique looking male MC without it being too out of place, but I want them to have at least SOME personality

The “Accidental Pervert”. Basically a guy just keeps getting into lewd scenarios or it looks just like he was trying to to something lewd to a girl. What really ticks me off is that most of the time it was the girls fault.
There is one case where an anime showed the downside of a big chest. It's called Taishou otome otogibanashi and in ep 4 the protagonist finds out the girl has a big chest she had been binding it to make it seem smaller. She talks about how much she hates her big chest. She says that it causes her pain and that she's ashamed of it, and always hides it because she thinks it makes her look fat. I like that after this scene, for the rest of the anime she goes back to binding her chest, and they don't use her for cheap big boobs fanservice, nor does the protagonist either make fun of her or sees her in perverted way after that.
Trope that I hate: The character that exists only for a love interest for a show that is not centered around it. I don’t like that these characters usually have no depth at all and have no input in the story until the very end.
Like that girl from Sirius the Jeager (i forgot her name but who cares) who literally does nothing but follow the main character around WHOM SHE JUST MET
SomePancake I was just thinking about her when I saw the comment 😅. Edit: I wanted to add that if they really wanted to have her as a character then instead of her having a crush and following the protagonist they should’ve just made her have suspicions of the group at first and question them. Also, make her a more useful character, since she just shows up for no reason and doesn’t do much for the most part.
@@lilpainteroftales4386 Yeah, not only that She doesn't even get with the main character in the end so her existence was kinda pointless Im pretty sure if the author had put more thought into the series (or perhaps...if the series was quite longer) then im pretty sure she would play a bigger role in the story (alongside with the rest of the characters because they dont really do much in the show either, which is sad because they look interesting!)
Yeah this really bugs me A LOT. A love interest is utterly uninteresting if everything we know about her/him is only in relation to the protagonist. Surely they have some life of their own?
Zhao Eric That is quite true. The love interest should have more things going on than to just be a love interest. I feel like it’s a waste of a potential character if they don’t add any other characteristics to the character.
@@sauteedbread I definitely agree, but to be fair, DDLC is a horror game that does that on purpose to make fun of that trope (Yuri even complains about back pain from her chest size, and it is commented by another character that Natsuki is small and childlike because she is malnourished and doesn't eat well). The trope in anime that the only difference in girls' body types is their breast size is annoying, hopefully there will be better diversity in upcoming shows...
Like why can't you make different BODY TYPESSS- it's NICE TO SEE OKAY? Especially for those of us that DON'T have rope-thin waists and THE WORLDS MOST UNNECESSARILY BIGGEST BREASTS.
I agree and the way they make curvy girls and if a main girl character magically loses weight over night and now all the hot guys want her that bugs me. There should be different body types and not just in the chest area.
I hate when the anime keeps telling you "this character is super smart!!!" Yet all they do is scream and make dumb decisions. But hey they have glasses so that means they're definately smart right?
The only argument\explanation I can think of is that that there are different types of intelligence, and someone can be very book smart but lack common sense\wisdom.
The last one actually helped me notice something that I've always been doing wrong with the people I draw. They all, mostly, have the same body type. And I look at them and be bothered and be like "what could possibly be wrong with this?" And now I'm just going "ooohhhhh..." At this point in time, I can draw 2 body types. I'm going to put in alot of effort to change this. Thank you!
I'm proud of you for recognizing something and working to change it. I'm trying to do this too, and if any friendly people on the internet have tips, I would love to hear them.
@@WhoTookSpecimen Like seriously I'm the "I'm too scared to show any emotion because I'm scared I'll come off as too fake or too dramatic and it makes me look like I don't care about anything even though I do and I'm awkward as hell around people even though I shouldn't be and I always ruin moments because of my stupid awkwardness." shy and not the "I stutter every sentence even though I don't actually have a stutter and I fall a lot and would cry whenever someone pokes me 🥺"
idk how many anime actually do this, but when they're trying to do a serious anime, then all of a sudden start doing random panty shots in the middle of random scenes for no reason
Yeah sure they do it for ganswrvice or whatever but it's such a shame when the story's actually good and you just wanna enjoy that but there's all these scenes 😅
Makes me think of Highschool Of The Dead. I loved the idea of teenagers trying to survive an apocalypse and the idea that the adults ignore the kids despite them being right was such a powerful part of the story. But there were always these one off lines and A LOT of fan service. The partial nudity in some parts does work and i'm okay with that, but i cant remember a scene when i didnt see a flailing pair of tits or a panty shot. Sometimes this can work comedically, but not in this excess.
I think the author Anne Rice did a great job writing the “ancient vampire/demon in a kid’s body” trope in her book interview with the vampire. The character Claudia felt frustrated, degraded, and depressed because she was trapped in a child’s body her entire life, which is wayyyy more realistic and interesting than any anime that has used this trope.
Sounds a bit like Baby-Doll from Batman: TAS. An actress stuck taking child roles because she stopped physically aging at some point but wanted to be taken seriously.
One of my least favorite design type deals is when there’s this chubby character that's obsessed with food and since she’s chubby everybody’s like “oh she’s not pretty she’s ugly” and then at the end she gets just like full on glow up where she’s all skinny and stuff and everybody’s like in love with her, I hate that because it’s like basically saying like oh you can’t be pretty if you’re chubby kind of thing. And then their popular love interest finally notices them because of they got a glow up
D-Gray.Man... even tho its easy to tell that Allen is the main character, all of the other characters has really interesting backstories (some are even deeper than Allen, the main characters story) and all of them got so many screen times to show these backstories. Even the one-episode characters has such deep backstories that i almost cried at every episode of the damn anime. To this day, its still one of my favorite animes. Such a shame the second season got wasted tho...
I feel like the bland protagonist is only good if they have good character development. Since a bunch of characters can be very bland even if they have a good character design. Edit:I’ve loved watching Makoto and Hajime’s development it was so enjoyable even though they looked like casual protagonist which was one of the best parts about them. Also my laptop isn’t capable of playing V3 so I’m waiting till it comes out on mobile.(so please no spoilers)
I’d love to see a twist on older than she looks character in that (if this a human, not a monster) you can see how looking this way affects her and of course have her have signs she _is_ an adult (wrinkles of some kind, like crows feet, a voice of an adult woman) but she does still kinda look like a child. It honestly could be like the story of babydoll from the Batman animated series. Imagine how difficult it must be trying to find a good relationship when your outcomes are either someone rejecting you because you look too much like a child and if weirds them out or the only people who do seem to want to date you are creeps.
Ooo I was reading something where the female lead loved singing and stuff but she had a very deep masculine voice, it made her insecure and she got made fun of and stuff, this sorta reminded me of that idk why.
AH I REMEMBER THE NAME Futsuu ni Naritai, it's super interesting tbh I like it. This is the synopsis! Fukatsu Michitaka, a boy who just became a high school student, can't differentiate people at all because of his prosopagnosia (Face blindness). However one day he runs into a girl whose face looks completely different from the rest. So in order to cure his illness and accomplish his dream of becoming "normal," he starts to get close to her.
I think I remember a Law & Order: SVU episode about a woman with Kallmann syndrome (I think). She was dating a pedophile because that was her only chance of being treated "like an adult".
@Simplyx Rainbowcloud a character's strength in gameplay isn't necessarily canon in genshin. I can't think of any characters that are canonicly overpowered just because.
I don't actually mind this trope but I feel like in so many animes were the protagonist is going on a journey of some sort, they can easily make friends/get people to join them, and I have yet to see a protagonist that struggles at making friends and get along with people and actually has to make an effort for them to join them, and I don't mean that the protagonist and this person had to work together for an arc and now are suddenly best buds. I don't know though, have any of you guys seen an anime pull this off?
Dude, um, the rising of the shield hero pulled this off, like the main character is only connected to the people who helped him when he was hella low but still doesn't trust them, and the group of people he's supposed to work with he does even though he fucking hates them. it's so good, highly recommend
Not an anime, but Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu is about a girl who trying to make friends. She struggles a lot with communicating, so it can be hard for her. Some friendships happen pretty quick though, so I'm not sure if you'll like it or not.
@Dionysian Beast I don't exactly mean helping for an arc, I meant more like they have a common goal and are forced to work together. I also more mean like a protagonist who struggles meeting new people/ making friends, like someone with anxiety or just antisocial.
I find it funny when characters are like "hM I WONDER WHERE THE ENEMIE MUST BE" when all the enemies and protagonists wear skimpy over the top clothing with a lot of colors and crazy hair that doesn't blend at all with the normal background characters nor atmosphere
A moto me and my friends created when we were talking about the whole bland male anime protag was that *"they're the main character, give them a reason to be the main character"* Plus an added "and no, the chosen one ain't a good exscuse if the main protag still ends up a bland hollow bowl of mashed potatoes in the end" and I stand by these
Honestly, in all media, a character that's purposefully bland so you can project on them, sucks. I hate it. Let the main character be their own person, and have a personality. I don't want to imagine myself as this character, I want to see how _they_ react to plot stuff.
You tell them sis, and they don't even make the bland characters really project-able for the majority of people, most of the time the characters will be super pervy or annoying.
I'm only able to project myself into a character if they're having an unique personality and is going through an arc that is pretty similar to how I am as a person. I can't project myself through a bland character with no personality that everyone is horny over for no reason.
Shakira's Hips Lied “they don’t even make the bland characters really project-able for the majority of people” Did you miss the part where even LT said that they’re supposed to be stand-ins for the average Japanese high school boy, i.e., the intended audience of most of these works? Most anime/manga have not been made with the primary intention of showing them outside of Japan, and it’s only fairly recently that we’re starting to become a market that’s sort of even acknowledged by Japan insofar as I can tell.
Actually when you think about it it's stupid and hilarious. Idk if you had even read any character x reader fanficion but from what I read the reader is usually a strong willed woman who can kicks buts with also some dramatic past and secrets. So the "Reader" a character that is literally made so somebody reading it can imagine themselves in their place is way more vivid and interesting then many anime protagonist which shouldn't have that as a prime function.
Haha you wanna know the funniest part? That thats actually the reality in the third world!??!? Seriously, i've Heard about Young boys of about 13 y/o that get raped by their female teachers (in her 20s) And when It comes in the news, people usually say "shit i Hope that kid was me, he should be thankful".
The second pet peeve actually has a some good characters that use that trope! Haibara Ai and Edogawa Conan from Detective Conan are the best example of this. The core plot is that they got turned into children by ingesting a drug made by an evil organisation trying to kill them. They act like normal children (or atleast conan does) around other people but they're clearly mature and most of the time taken seriously by adults in the show. and the best part is that Haibara isn't made into a "uwu loli who's actually an adult". She's very stoic, acts like an adult most of the time and is one the best informants in dc with her skills ranging from computer science to lab science. Not to mention both of them being a head scientist and a world renowned class detective.
My oc does look younger than her age, she is 16 but looks 12 to 13 It's a genetic or a disorder thing, it comes from her mother and her side of the family Her mother is close to her 40s but she looks like she is in her 20s
I hate it when they make the females very detailed and "beautiful", and the males very simple. It drives me mental-... [Sweet JESUS HOW DID I GET SO MANY LIKES WHAT'S GOING ON-?!!]
too add on to the bland main protagonist trope- i HATE that literally ALL of the female characters have to fall for him when he's so generic. he doesn't have personality and he's some honey Japanese kid who sexualizes the girls who throw themselves at him like- stop
If it's supposed to be the viewer stand-in character, then here's an idea: A wish-fulfillment isekai, except the whole thing is viewed from a first-person POV (Basically a video game in anime form)
Yeah, especially in *koff koff* harems *koff koff* . And they have all these beautiful people around him, OR more skilled people and he's just.. there? But for some reason everyone likes him like boi-
I would like to say that games have it different since it is interactive but i've seen games that are great (e.g Hornet in HollowKnight:Silksong) with characters that have emotions. Sometimes a plain character is great since it plays a narrative role (e.g the knight/ghost from HollowKnight. Hey what can I say it's an amazing game) So i would like to see characters with actual character more often.
i feel like a better alternative (that i highly prefer) to the aggressive tsundere is just to make the characters frenemies that still clearly care about each other. like "shut up i hate you" but if the other person looks even slightly sad about that sentence they backtrack and go "IMSORRYIMSORRY I LOVE YOU YOURE MY FAVORITE PERSON :("., it's a lot more realistic and also a lot cuter
girl main character: **walks into room where male mc is changing after a shower** girl mc: PERVERT like, youre the one who walked into him changing? why is _he_ the perv???
Yeah It’s really annoying when the girls in the anime can do whatever they want without consequence but the guys does something as walk into the wrong room at the wrong time and they get a swift beating
Not really a design but a problem I found in some anime: they just skip time and it bounces around all over. I started watching an anime and I’m on like episode 5 and it’s just this: 1. I’m a freshman in high school, it’s my first day I’m so excited 2. Oh it’s time for mid terms 3. Summer break, time for the beach episode
I really hate the voluptuous punching bag trope, and I'm someone who draws busty girls. I love drawing characters that have large chest and/or large hips and sometimes there personalities are very bouncy and energetic, but I can't stand when characters like my own are reduced to fan service. Its just such a waste. Like let busty women exist as people and not objects for others to ogle at.
Same here! I have a busty mascot for a manga I’m working on. Aside from her sexyness, she’s a mercenary who’s a little fucked-up in the head, but still cares for her friends and family.
what bothers me is when theres a popular girl and everyone loves her, that then when the protagonist meets her or somthing they realize shes actually mean and bratty, idk it bothers me lol
Although that trope does bother me a lot. A case that it was actually done well was the character Megumi from Say I love you. She got actual character development and wasn’t some plot device to get the main protagonist and love interest together.
@@neouma5382 i mean she kinda is mean, she portrays aiura as a demon and is always doing some retarted angry jealousy thing when anyone goes near saiki
One of my pet peeves is when everyone, in a modern non-fantasy setting, has normal color hair... except the MC. And it's never commented on as weird or different.
Have you watched Saiki K.? It absolutely skewers this trope within the first few episodes xD If you haven't, the basic premise of the show is that all the crazy anime tropes are the fault of this one really OP kid with psychic powers, who's willing to change pretty much anything he has to in order to get people to leave him alone. It is *hilarious.*
To me, the written age of a character means nothing against their intended visuals. Like a clearly small child that some writer decided is actually 40 is still a small child. And it goes the other way around too, where a character will just objectively look like a full on adult and people will be like "Um she's actually 12." I just think, what would you think based on how they look alone, no context, that's what's important. For fictional, drawn or rendered characters, critically of course
so you think 12 year olds in real life can be sexualized just because they look older than their age? or some 23 year old shouldn't have people liking them in any romantic way just cause they are short undeveloped and look really young?
@@wisteria7052 There is an enormous difference between a real human, and a created character, drawn or rendered, made to look a way, and written a certain way, by a person. That's why I said "For fictional, drawn or rendered characters, critically." Not human people.
@@wisteria7052 There is also a difference between a character drawn to look short and "underdeveloped", and a character that is obviously drawn to look like a child. I'm not saying one size fits all.
@@NeroNyte Yeah cause I look like a child literally if only I looked my age being short and underdeveloped wouldn't matter.. my cousin faces the same problem, people often think of us as 12 year olds or even younger. If you can't comprehend people like that actually exist in reality idk what to tell you.
I feel like people don’t notice the “redhead” thing in anime. In like a lot of romance anime they have the blue haired main character and their pink haired love interest. Very VERY common
And then there's that second-most-important girl who usually has blue or white hair, of the "cold-ish, but sweet" type. Like, almost always the second girl introduced in the main cast.
@@Lugbzurg I see you're unfamiliar with the concept of "It's easier to animate the same body type 20x instead of 20 different ones so the main difference is hair. And because the animes are usually set in JAPAN where people are JAPANESE and LOOK SIMILAR they use colors to indicate personality when the face doesn't show enough. So yeah, it's kinda no wonder that red means feisty, blue means calm/cold, yellow means happy, pink means feminine, and purple/black means mysterious.
It's cause A) color theory is a big thing in designing characters for anime and they're complimentary and B)Blue-haired boys are standardly masculine and tend to be protagonists while pink-haired girls are standardly feminine and also tend to be protagonists. You'll also see plenty of couples with white/black hair.
Something else I hate: When the “emo” character has to be abused or their parents died from dogs eating their leg off at 3 or something crazy like that it gets so annoying.-. Edit: I forgot to add this Gacha too bUt *gAcHA lOgIc* Edit2: Todoroki I’m so sorry I love you-
01:35 - The industry's reasoning to make an MC like that says a lot about what they think of their audience. And the worst of it is that it holds an ounce of truth. The objectification of their female friends is an actual bit of Japan's social customs that influences their works of fiction. Sexual harassment in Japan is commonplace. I wish I was kidding.
I hate when the busty characters all have vacuum sealed shirts. Like, HOW DOES THE SHIRT CLING TO THEM LIKE THAT WHEN THE SHIRT SHOULD MAKE THEM LOOK LIKE A BOX?
Lets not forget the ---beach episode--- ive seen so many anime that have this kind of filler episode just so we get to the female characters in swimsuits...
Yes like AOT I think is the name, the story is about a band at school then they like randomly go to a beach for a episode and with naruto the outro for a season was just all the girls in swimsuits then my hero academia had an episode of them swimming to see the boys Abbas and the girls in swimsuits
I once was scrolling in tumblr and found some gifs from an anime I have never watched and the first one was of a chick running and with the usual flopping you see in anime. Yes omg it always confused me why that is. Like?? what. Yeah let's give people the message that 'even if they practice for years and work their hardest, or even dedicate their life to it, it won't be good enough. You need to have natural, innate talent to go anywhere in life.' yep, seems like a really positive message to me
@@jett3474 And Komi starts developing feelings for him because he's a GENUINELY kind guy and one of the first to treat her like an actual person and not some unapproachable Goddess. So yeah, he definitely gets a pass.
One of mine other than all of these: the freaking males getting nosebleeds when they see pretty women (or women in general) And And When they over sexualize women for no reason. They make their boobs big, super skinny, giant hips and curves, extremely short skirts, all that stuff And it’s like every girl There’s so much wrong with anime, there are rarely any good ones
for me its also the camera shots they use around these curvier women. in code geass for example, for absolutely no reason whatsoever the camera will go up womens asses when they drive one of them mech things
I disagree with big breasts, giant hips and curves being a problem, you forget that there are people with these body types and to call it a problem or inherently sexual is wrong. For example, I have giant hips, my body type is an issue huh? My hips are sexual just cause they're large? Yeah right. Oh and I notice you singled out women and basically said that their breasts, hips, and curves are inherently sexual if they're larger than average. Good lord, your views are sexist as hell. Anyway, the real issue is when people sexualize those aspects. Like seriously, a character can have big boobongalas, just don't put unnecessary, creepy attention on it. This may surprise you but tiddies ain't inherently sexual (neither are hips and curves, you are part of the issue).

Yeah, i agree. I mean his design is so simple yet the small additions make him stand out way more than other protagonists. The worst part about the first trope is when every character in the anime insists that bland character man is the most handsome/heroic/intelligent/special boy but hes just... a boring dude
Julie Salemi I know right? And the same ‘intelligent’ guy have a lot of girls after him and he is completely clueless
Also because ONE looooves to make fun of other Anime and their stereotypes.
The hair style is so average but its rarely used in anime
Stella15535 I think Mob's blandness has the opposite effect because of how refreshing it looks. Most anime use generic "cute" designs to appeal to a broader audience, which often makes the characters seem static. The token male protag technically looks nice but needs imperfections to avoid being bland. ONE, however, hasn't developed a style meant for mass appeal and dares to go overboard with the expressions! The anime also pays attention to body language.
And he's not even bland because even if the design choice intends so his personality is very unique
I personally hate it when the love interest, (guy or girl) is super mean to the main character or lets the main character be mean to them while still wanting to be with them.
I hate that trope so much, it's so frequent too, the literal devil will join the good side and then can't even beat a group of amateur thugs

This reminds me of when the characters say sailor moon is fat and I'm here like "y'all have the same physique 😐"
This happens because Japanese people have different standards on what being "fat" is. Apparently, 42 kg = fat to them (I'm not sure if it's exactly like that, but there is a difference in weight standards).
maybe because I'm Brazilian, usually we are more about voluptuous women (way before it became mainstream), what americans would call thicc nowadays lol, and these anime girls look like a bunch of stick figures and still they're called fat.
ikr, im not japanese (im vietnamese) but whenever someone gains a TINY bit of weight, they call themself fat, and im just like,,,,, 👁👄👁
@@SuperVini310 No, it's a joke where the supporting characters rag on the sympathetic but easily riled main character.
Chubby is different in japan. It's not really "fat"... its just not super skinny. But from a western standpoint it just seems really odd.

This might be a bit late but that actually sounds like such a good character Idea
That would be good.

Lina gosh i know i remember they showed their transition in height once and no way you can grow 5x your height in 4 years 😭😭
The trope with the voluptuous punching bag is something that I despise with my entire being.
True. It doesn’t matter the gender when it comes to hurting someone both should get reprimanded instead of just the male.
Bro it even happens in real life like dang
ok male
That’s one of the worst things to happen in any form of media and I’m sure it happens in real life too, I 100% agree with you.
This is the problem I have with Elaine from the Seven Deadly Sins. She looks 12, but because she's over 1000, it's alright for her to date Ban.
I actually love the “creepy child” horror trope.
I also thought of Hunter x Hunter where Gon and Killua met Bisky. I think that narrative is actually good and not sexualized at all.
I would love to see an Isekai where the main character is so bland in episode one, then in the special world he changes everything about himself to stand out. "Screw it, new world new me" the underlying message could be don't let anything hold you back from being who you want to be
Remind me Shield Hero

-A mean tsundere but for some reason her love interest think her cute and basically take all the insults and beating from her (I mean, saying 'stupid' is fine although it's kinda overused but beating their love interest up is more like a violence and not cute at all)
-Unnecessary fanservice. Like come on, some characters even make weird sounds when they are eating?? That makes me very uncomfortable. Especially if it's a loli or little kid. Sometimes there's also unnecessary touching here and there like what- (I get it. People want fanservice. I enjoy it too but sometimes it's too much and basically unnecessary)
-An overly optimistic, loud and stubborn as heck character that also the cause of 90% of the problems in the show. -A pervert character that basically exists only for pervert moments like fanservice or something (I dislike pervert character but it's fine to make them as long as make them more interesting like giving them a talent or something. I've seen good written pervert characters so it is not impossible)

Main characters are in trouble, about to be wrecked by massive number of enemies, then suddenly the little girl who said she was a demon lord and actually 3489 years old, her eyes go pitch black, mouth splits at the corners creating a demonic smile filled with too many sharp teeth.

There is one case where an anime showed the downside of a big chest. It's called Taishou otome otogibanashi and in ep 4 the protagonist finds out the girl has a big chest she had been binding it to make it seem smaller. She talks about how much she hates her big chest. She says that it causes her pain and that she's ashamed of it,
and always hides it because she thinks it makes her look fat. I like that after this scene, for the rest of the anime she goes back to binding her chest, and they don't use her for cheap big boobs fanservice, nor does the protagonist either make fun of her or sees her in perverted way after that.

Edit: I wanted to add that if they really wanted to have her as a character then instead of her having a crush and following the protagonist they should’ve just made her have suspicions of the group at first and question them. Also, make her a more useful character, since she just shows up for no reason and doesn’t do much for the most part.
@@lilpainteroftales4386 Yeah, not only that
She doesn't even get with the main character in the end so her existence was kinda pointless
Im pretty sure if the author had put more thought into the series (or perhaps...if the series was quite longer) then im pretty sure she would play a bigger role in the story
(alongside with the rest of the characters because they dont really do much in the show either, which is sad because they look interesting!)
Yeah this really bugs me A LOT.
A love interest is utterly uninteresting if everything we know about her/him is only in relation to the protagonist. Surely they have some life of their own?
Zhao Eric That is quite true. The love interest should have more things going on than to just be a love interest. I feel like it’s a waste of a potential character if they don’t add any other characteristics to the character.
in anime body type diversity is just the size of their chest...
Hailey Alice ikr, I’ve noticed this in ddlc, rwby, pretty much any anime that has four or so girls
Watch Please tell me! Galko-chan
But hey they have glasses so that means they're definately smart right?
the only thing that tells you they're smart is that they get first all the time during that "it's finals, study time" episode
The only argument\explanation I can think of is that that there are different types of intelligence, and someone can be very book smart but lack common sense\wisdom.
I was about to say Hange, but then it fucking hit me like a traim that her smarts have been proven on multiple occasions
Thank you!

idk how many anime actually do this, but when they're trying to do a serious anime, then all of a sudden start doing random panty shots in the middle of random scenes for no reason
I remember an anime that had this shooting like scene, where everything was being focused on two girls tits
Yeah sure they do it for ganswrvice or whatever but it's such a shame when the story's actually good and you just wanna enjoy that but there's all these scenes 😅
That was my exact experience with Fire Force, I wanted to like it, but the fanservice just killed my enjoyment..ugh
Don't forget out of place comedy
I think the author Anne Rice did a great job writing the “ancient vampire/demon in a kid’s body” trope in her book interview with the vampire. The character Claudia felt frustrated, degraded, and depressed because she was trapped in a child’s body her entire life, which is wayyyy more realistic and interesting than any anime that has used this trope.
YES I WAS THINKING OF THIS
Yes, I was reminded of Claudia too. That's how it's done properly.
Nah, it's no less goofy and perverted, one of the more laughable things in the long list of Anne Rice's unintentionally funny ideas

"Senryu Girl" and "Hitoribocchi no Marumaruseikatsu" do a great job with this! You should definitely check them out, they pretty much fit the bill!
The Rising Of The Shield Hero actually does this pretty well. The guy is absolutely hated by everyone

A moto me and my friends created when we were talking about the whole bland male anime protag was that *"they're the main character, give them a reason to be the main character"*
Plus an added "and no, the chosen one ain't a good exscuse if the main protag still ends up a bland hollow bowl of mashed potatoes in the end" and I stand by these
Honestly, in all media, a character that's purposefully bland so you can project on them, sucks.
Bella from the Twilight movies is a great example for bland and plain character to project on
Shakira's Hips Lied “they don’t even make the bland characters really project-able for the majority of people”
Did you miss the part where even LT said that they’re supposed to be stand-ins for the average Japanese high school boy, i.e., the intended audience of most of these works?

I feel the same way. I draw multiple busty women, but as a storywriter I always try to make all my characters as three-dimensional as possible.

Have you watched Saiki K.? It absolutely skewers this trope within the first few episodes xD
If you haven't, the basic premise of the show is that all the crazy anime tropes are the fault of this one really OP kid with psychic powers, who's willing to change pretty much anything he has to in order to get people to leave him alone. It is *hilarious.*
that's more like a stylized choice to make the mc stand out and because of the symbolism in anime hair colors
It's better than.. black haired black eyes. Also it's not like people dye their hair irl.. yeah. Lol.
_with a bunch of anime, it seems they want to give off the impression that that's their normal hair color, and not just dyed_
Yeah, my hair is dyed green irl and I get stared at a lot in public. Most people don't see crazy coloured hair as a normal, everyday thing.

I feel like people don’t notice the “redhead” thing in anime. In like a lot of romance anime they have the blue haired main character and their pink haired love interest. Very VERY common
Maybe its to make it remind us of romeo and juliet?
And then there's that second-most-important girl who usually has blue or white hair, of the "cold-ish, but sweet" type. Like, almost always the second girl introduced in the main cast.

It's adorable.

One of mine other than all of these: the freaking males getting nosebleeds when they see pretty women (or women in general)
And
And
When they over sexualize women for no reason. They make their boobs big, super skinny, giant hips and curves, extremely short skirts, all that stuff
And it’s like every girl
There’s so much wrong with anime, there are rarely any good ones
for me its also the camera shots they use around these curvier women. in code geass for example, for absolutely no reason whatsoever the camera will go up womens asses when they drive one of them mech things
Mitsuri and tengen wifes
Perhaps anime isn't for you
