    A few months ago I was telling you that I wish the security company I work for would get an app where all the open shifts are posted and we can request to be booked into them. You told me you went to a conference and my company was there and they said they have this software. I figured maybe they didn’t have it in my region. Well they just told me today they’ll be using this app. It benefits me more now because I work for an in-house team now, and I work for them casually.

    I did enjoy watching this video. It's actually the third time I've come back to listen because this gentleman is so inspiring and, I've realized that once I take in some of those advice and strategically place our feet in the doorway, that my security company will be on the way to success.     Hi! How should I go about hiring security guards before we have a contract?

      Great question Alyssa! I would suggest not hiring any officers until you have your first contract. What I would do instead is post a job ad and start collecting applications. Use a platform like OfficerHR.com. Once you have lots of applications, you can start interviewing a few candidates letting them know that you are a startup that's looking to hire in the near future.
      During these interviews, it's incumbent on you to REALLY sell the candidates on your company and why they should come to work for you. Once you have that contract, you start placing your calls to the people that you've interviewed and trying to get them onto your roster. It's always tricky interviewing people before you have a contract, but you'll figure it out. ;-)

      @@Officerreports that's what I'm doing. I have 5 potentials on board for August or September when I hope to pick up a 2nd client. I went thru 42 applicants to find 1 part time and 5 on hold...

    I live in California. I received my security guard contractor license. I need a security guard personnel policy and procedure handbook for employees would you know where I can find one? Also I need training manual for my guards where is this stuff being hidden?

      There isn't a good source for that type of stuff. In a lot of cases, people who start companies take it from their past companies. We are planning on introducing some of that stuff with a new service that we're planning so stay tuned. Sorry I can't be of more help for that one.
