Nice walk through! We have a 2022 General XP. Like others have said so far in the posts, it does get hot. But as life in Northwest WI goes, pick your days and enjoy the trails. Obviously the hot days, you should soak in a lake and not sweat on the trails. But the climate allows a lot of cool weather in Spring and Fall for trail riding. I've been on group rides with the RZR and Can Am Maverick. They are impressed on how the General keeps up. I'm flabbergasted when I hear people with those machines say this. In many people's heads they think it has to be a trail focused machine. The General can be. I consider the General 80% trail and 20% utility. Why? Because it's a true blitz handler on rough trails and I also use it to plow snow, move trailers around, pull water craft and docks out of the lake. If you are going to spend $30-40K on a machine (and most of the jacked up costs are add-ons - e.g. plow, tip down windshield with wiper, back window, enclosed doors, heater, extra lighting, etc.), then you might want to consider how much more you are going to get out of your UTV. The best in this category from my research (and now 1200 miles of experience) is the General XP. Hands down!!!
Kemimoto makes a bag for that wasted space lol. I can fit bug dope, first aid kit, bear spray, shells and a bunch of other items I don't use regularly so it is really just the perfect spot to store all that stuff
I have a 23 General XP sport . The back of the cab where the motor is does get hot. Just went out on a 4 hour ride at approx 73F. it was pretty warm in the cab. The Walker Evans shocks do not live up to the Fox shocks. Drove a terex 800 and the fox shocks on that was MUCH better than the WE stuff. I love the utility and truck like interior of this machine but Very disappointed in the suspension compared to other Polaris products.
I have a ‘22 XP4 Trailhead and you can absolutely roast your wieners in the cab. Also, not sure what kind of enclosed trailer you are looking at but it will fit. Let me know if you need help finding one…

Bought ours in December of 2022, love it, we use it on our 102 acres as well as do some trail riding..
Love my general. It fits in both my horse trailer and 7x16 storage trailer.
