- Hey y’all & Welcome to this episode, where we show you around P&O ARVIA. We recently sailed onboard P&O Cruises Arvia around the Mediterranean for 2 weeks in September 2023. In this episode we look to visit the whole ship -restaurants / lounges / bars / spa / launderette + all the outdoor spaces including Mini Golf / Altitude / Sunset Bar / Sky Bridge / Sky Dome / Pools / Whirlpools / Prom Deck etc. We start on deck 3 and walk all the way up to deck 19. Arvia is a great ship with some exciting new attractions compared to it's sister Iona with the Escape Room / Mini Golf / Swim-up bar & Altitude high ropes course Its a ship not to be missed if your planning to visit the Mediterranean or Caribbean.

There was a charge for the escape room… and you are put together with other people. So if there’s only two of you, you will be grouped together with other guests if that makes sense.
We can’t remember the exact price though sorry!

We always found a sun lounger of this one… we will say that sun loungers right by the pools did go quickly though, so if you want to be right by the pool then absolutely get up early.
The whirlpools were usually free in the evenings, so bear that in mind too!
So from our experience there was always some availability… just depends on where you want to lounge.
I have a disability and need a walker or stick. Do they have lifts to every floor? And do they a wheel chairs or mobile scooters? Thankyou, my sis and i want to visit Italy next year 2024 and cant wait! Thanks guys for the tour🌻☮
Hi 👋 Yes plenty of lifts on every deck - The ship is very well designed for mobility in mind. The doors have sensors which open and close automatically. They do allow wheelchair and mobility scooters. (However I think it’s a certain type) - I would advise calling up and speaking to ask as they ask questions about assistance etc. Looking on their website you must inform them beforehand about mobility scooters or they could deny boarding. Some people can hire scooters from mobility at sea if you don’t have the particular type they require.
On past cruises we have seen plenty of people using scooters and wheelchairs. You will have an amazing cruise.

Great video But too big for us Wouldn't have a balcony cabin with the prom deck outside Will never sail on her We will only sail on Arcadia Aurora and Ventura the biggest we will sail on to the Caribbean 35 days
Thank you for your comment! She is a big ship! The prom cabins don’t appeal to us either, it’s such a weird choice to make during the design process! For P&O we’ve only tried Iona and Arvia but the smaller ships do have some nice itineraries so I’m sure we will try them at some point! Dom & Pete :)
@@DomPetesTravels As I understand it the Deck 8 balconies are called called conservatory mini suites. The have an additonal area between the main room and the balcony, they also have privacy glass so people can't see in. I was sceptical initially as well, but they do look nice, worth looking for a video on youtube. Arvia and Iona are more geared to families, Arcadia and Aurora are more geared to retired folk.
Hello, thank you for your comment. You are correct, some of the cabins are Conservatory Mini Suites. There is a mixture of these and some balcony cabins toward the front of the ship. Towards the mid ship the balcony is slightly higher, so people might prefer that, however as you go forward the deck slopes up and you can see right into the cabins. The privacy glass is good during the day from what we could see, but not so good at night, as you can imagine. I believe P&O have now introduce a new cabin grade (GZ) which is specifically for these balcony cabins, as they are not proving popular and now are offered at a cheaper rate. I would never say never, but if we was choosing a balcony it wouldn’t be on Deck 8 …
We still need to try the other ships! We’ve only tried Arvia and Iona so far… but absolutely have the others on the list. They have some really good itineraries so need to get booking i think!!

I’m going on a med cruise end of this April - till early May, I was wondering if it was extremely busy when you went with long queues etc - as I’ve heard it’s a big problem and with it being are first cruise we are a little worried
Hi again :) it wasn’t bad for us. Some bars were busy but just have to be confident to flag the server as they won’t usually serve you at the bar itself, it has to be done via an iPad from people walking around.
Do they leave from Melbourne to Italy? Or do you have to board in another state?

Ive got 2 girls love swimming what pool is best for kids ?
We think the Skydome pool would be best! There is a bar there for drinks / soft drinks for the kids. Also right next to taste 360 for lunch. They also have live entertainment, movies etc which will keep them entertained whilst swimming 👍👍 the roof is open in warmer climates which is great, and for those early days where it’s a bit cooler the roof is closed keeping it lovely a warm for the kids!
