Hey… We’re not sure on why they would never go on Iona again, but remember that everyone has different tastes and different cruise lines offer different experiences. Our advice would be to watch lots of vlogs and weigh up what you want from your cruise. We love Iona, but completely understand that some people won’t, it’s all down to personal taste. So get watching as many vlogs as possible. We try to be fair and point out some things that work and some that don’t. Hope you find your perfect cruise! Pete & Dom 😁😁

Hello! Really sorry about the delay in replying, we’ve been moving and it’s been hectic! If you get off the ship straight away you can probably do this! But be mindful that you are relying on a few things all lining up, such as queues at the bottom and top when coming back down and shuttle buses not having any issues! If you wait until mid morning then you will absolutely have queues and we personally wouldn’t risk it, but first off the ship and to the shuttle then it could be done 👍 Have an amazing cruise! Hi… thanks for your comment. Those 2 weeks will fly by now! Not long to go! We personally usually get the WiFi package. Remember that you will need to put your phone on airplane mode whilst out to sea so you don’t connect to the maritime network (this is super super expensive and avoid at all costs!) so you will be disconnected for those 2 days, which may not be a bad thing… We always get a single device package. You can log in and out of it, meaning you can share the log in. I know they were offering 1 free hour on this cruise… this is due to them recently partnering up with Starlink, so it was to showcase the speed etc of the service. I’m not sure if that offer was for 1 hour per day…not that we were aware, and we would be quite surprised if that was the case. Usually the WiFi is cheaper to purchase beforehand so bear that in mind. P&O usually do 15% off offers etc before you sail. Or if you have onboard spend you can use that towards the cost, but bear in mind it will be full price at that point. I hope that helps… Have a great cruise! Pete & Dom

Hi! Thanks for subscribing, we really appreciate it!… Norway is absolutely stunning! We loved the Briksdal Glacier, it’s well worth a visit. I think the highlight of this cruise had to be the Leon Skylift. The views were beautiful and the snow at top made it even more of an experience. And yes Norway will always tempt you back now! Thank you so much for watching! We have cruised Royal before and loved it! Palma was one of our favourites ports on this cruise. It was really bustling that day but we loved having a little explore! P&Os newer ships Iona and Arvia are really nice. (Although we must admit we haven’t been in any of the others yet!) It’s very British which means good tea 🫖 🫖! Which is very important ha! Hello… sorry for the delay in replying… yes you can split the beds into two singles. This can be done via your planner before the cruise or ask your cabin steward and they will sort it for you. For this cruise we had a roaming pass / bolt-on with our current phone contracts… it was approx £15 and lasted for 30 days which covered us whilst we were in port. Just check with your provider. Whilst you are cruising at sea remember to turn your phone onto airplane mode as you do not want to connect to the maritime network as this is an astronomical cost! There are WiFi packages available to book, these are usually cheaper to book beforehand. They have different packages depending on your needs. You can buy one per day or for the whole duration of the cruise. You don’t need a WiFi package to use the P&O web app to book dining etc etc Hope that helps :) :) Pete

Hi again :) it wasn’t bad for us. Some bars were busy but just have to be confident to flag the server as they won’t usually serve you at the bar itself, it has to be done via an iPad from people walking around.

Sorry for the delay… For the main headliners shows you can book before you leave… I think 2 weeks before you sail date.. but keep checking your online booking… the middle show is always busy. The earlier one tended to be quieter and people were able to turn up on the day… but you couldn’t do that for the middle showing… Remember seats are not allocated so even if you’ve booked go a little earlier so you can get a seat where you want. Some other things within the theatre are just first come first served. Examples of this would be the Orca talk we had, and the virtual bridge tour, if they are giving those talks onboard. Remember that the talks within the skydome are first come first served also… so go early, grab a seat, cocktail and relax before the show! Have a super time! You will love it! Pete :)

Hello thanks for the question… on this occasion we opted to purchase the soft drinks package… which gets you , Pepsi, lemonade and juices. This was really good for us and certainly saved us money especially on those hot days. We’re not big drinkers so we purchased the odd drink as we went along. They are priced reasonably! We have previously had a drinks package (before the recent changes) and we decided that we wouldn’t really spend the same amount if that makes sense. Hello depends on the package you have purchased…the refresh package only has soft drinks, which are Pepsi, Pepsi Max and Lemonade. You also get juices with that, so orange, cranberry etc. The alcohol free package includes teas and small coffees which is the next package up. It also includes lots more options.
