@@gook5219Being upset and feeling like you can’t continue the relationship under such a revelation is perfectly understandable, similarly the honesty and trust shown by being able to tell your partner of your past betrayal of their trust could genuinelly be a really meaningful turning point for the relationship, and could lay the foundation for a relationship built on real trust and love for one another. Well that's only the case if you're seriously messed up in the head. In reality, if anyone's mental state would show that they would kill their coworker over a girl, they wouldn't be hired in the first place
There's a argument below on how Pam has been holding Roy back since his life got better afterwards and Roy had been holding Pam back. Personally I think it's both, when you are with the wrong person you don't help each other get better, you both remain stagnant or get worse.
@@enjoyitbromaking roy successful was good. It goes to show even if you are roy who tried to kill his coworker you can still find love and be successful and leave that life behind.
I don't defend Roy for some of the actions he had, nor how is response was, but Roy trusted Pam, he let Pam do her own thing without being a inch problematic or untrustworthy. Although Roy did do some wrongs, nobody deserves to be cheated on like that.
Jim know pam is engaged and hes still hoping and actually kissed her. He's in the wrong zone in this one. Lucky dwight saved him before roy could kill him
" I want us to make it". For me it's absolutely silly how Pam was lying to herself and forcing herself to like Roy while denying her feelings for Jim. It happens a lot in real life too
@@razkable For as relatable Pam's character arc is throughout this show, the more I go back to earlier scenes with her, the less sympathy I have for her decisions. Jim being with Karen only happened because of her. Being in a bad relationship with Roy was mostly her wanting to stay with what she was comfortable with. She dropped out of art school, and dropped out of being a salesman, because she wasn't comfortable with it. She held Jim back from his dream career because she wasn't comfortable with moving (note that if they didn't move on eventually, they wouldn't both gone unemployed once DM finally shut down for real). Heck, even Michael Scott eventually chose his dream over his dead-end job at a dying industry. Her whole thing is that she's bad at moving away from what she's comfortable with. And that's super relatable. But it's also infuriating with the problems she brings upon herself as a result. Her best moments are when she goes "screw it with being comfortable. I want to make something happen with my life." Like when she quits being a receptionist to be a part of Michael Scott's Paper Company. Sure, that ended up crashing, and she gave up being a salesman, but it also lead to her being the Office Admin, which seemed to be the one job she was finally okay with. Her fire walking moment was legendary because she finally chose to commit to something outside of her comfort zone. Granted, her rant towards Jim wasn't very justified since again, him being with Karen only happened because she refused to leave Roy out of comfort. But it was overall a great moment. It's a great arc, but it's hard to watch in the early parts for me. She becomes a great character, maybe even my favorite in this show, but she sure didn't start off as one.
Yeah, I think it was a pretty bum move from Pam to set the conversation up this way. You can tell from her "this is over" that she was being insincere about trying to make it with Roy.
Anyone else a tiny concerned for everyone in the comments saying this was a normal reaction...like, don't get me wrong, he had every right to be mad, but this is also what we call "a clear sign of abusive behavior."
Well it could have been worse. He could have hit her. He didn't though and he focused his rage on an object. It's easy for people to empathize when it comes to being cheated on. You could argue it was "just a kiss" but most people wouldn't believe that. Why would they believe someone who already betrayed their trust. Honestly people are only defending Jim on his dirt bag move because they are a cute couple in the series.
Priya yes thank you Pam and Roy’s relationship was obviously going to end quickly. You could tell from his reactions and just the way he acted was quick tempered and abusive.
There’s something really deep about this scene. At the casino night, Jim kissed Pam, not the other way around. But here, Pam tells Roy that she kissed Jim. I have a feeling she was worried that he would do something to Jim if he found out the truth so she made it seem like her own doing and not his. But Roy in his jealousy still assumed it was Jim’s fault, ignoring what Pam said. I feel like Pam was only getting back with Roy because she was confused and felt alone without having either Roy (her boyfriend of many years) or Jim (her best friend), but after getting back with Roy, she was secretly looking for a reason to be fully over him because deep down she really didn’t want to be with him. There wasn’t any bargaining with Roy once he went nuts, she decided she was done right then and there as she likely already made up her mind before telling him about what happened with Jim.
Yep, everyone is the comments is talking about Roy's anger but what about his inability to listen for more than two seconds. He doesn't know the events leading up to the kiss, he doesn't know if maybe there was something he (Roy) did that he needed to apologize for that caused Pam to feel hurt and long for affection from her coworker, he doesn't know anything about ths situation other than that they kissed and he had no interest in hearing any of it. And I do think Pam was genuinely considering being with Roy again at this point but only because Jim had been so insistent on staying with Karen and being "over Pam", and Roy had done such a good job winning Pam back. He had really behaved well up till this point. But when he flipped out Pam realized that Roy was only behaving well to try to appear like the ideal guy to her, when in reality he was not a man who had the impulse-control or frankly the care to hear her out when she explained something, even something very important.

I admit Roy was careless and ignorant sometimes but he really loved Pam, he was not the smartest. "Carry on My Wayward Son" is playing in the background and I love it because this scene is a new beginning in Pam's life just like Dean's return was in Sam's life
He is disgusting and pretty much all of his dialouge is a waste of screen time due to the fact of how "slow" he's portrayed (which is a plot hole in itself since he's supposed to do accounting.) The UK version had Keith for Kevin but he wasn't portrayed as stupid just very awkward. Kevin is just straight up dumb and gross. I genuinely don't understand what is supposed to be appealing about his character...
Do everybody forgot Roy's comment about Katy at "Hot Girl"? "I would totally get into her if I wasn't dating Pam" C'mon, he didn't even made the effort to pretend not to be interested in her just because she was "hot", he even said that right in front of Pam. So, what did you expect from her? To smile and endure it?
Ikr, it’s one thing to attracted to someone. But don’t be making googly eyes and making comments when your significant other is RIGHT there. It’s just basic common decency. Or at least keep it on neutral if you HAVE to say something, no one will be ecstatic to see their partner panting at someone else
As much as Roy over reacted, he was basically told his wedding was called off because the office creep who was perving on his fiancee kissed her and that's why she cancelled it. Any sane person would be incredible angry hearing that.
You can’t say he was perving on her when Pam consistently encouraged the flirtatious friendship and she also kissed him. Jim is single, Pam was not. It’s HER responsibility to prevent that from happening
Anyone justifying his actions on this video are insane. Violence is never okay, even if he didn’t hit her or something. Check yourselves if you think this was somehow justified. Pam was wrong cheating on him and he was right about being mad but his actions in this video were HUGE red flags.
shut up idiot i have girlfriend and i give her good hard punch when she talks back to me u can even watch andrew tate video where he says its ok to hit woman if she is trying to be alpha bcs only men r alpha woman r nothing
Yup. I have no doubt Roy would start abusing Pam if they got married. Many men don't start hitting their partner even if they dated for years until they get married.
You sound like an idiot, violence is absolutely okay in situations. Humans are meant to be violent at times and to conquer. We are no better than animals.
So if Roy hadn't pitched a fit and just forgiven her, would they have gotten married? She never appeared to be in love with him. Sometimes it seemed like she didn't even like him that much. But she would have dragged it out until Jim became free again. She made poor choices.
perrier nah, he’s pretty damn mad but he didn’t directed it at Pam. He clearly have anger issues, but i never understand why some people keep saying he’s abusive when he clearly never hurt Pam physically or mentally. And as far as the action are wrong, you can’t blame him from wanting to beat up Jim. Imagine you’re about to get married to your fiancee, but the guy you already trusted kiss her, ultimately ruined the wedding and make you break up. If i were in his shoes I would want to beat up Jim too (and pretty much most people would)
Dude was drunk and a bad boyfriend... talks about other women in front of his GF... who does that? And he literally threw a glass cup at a mirror and broke it out of anger... Roy is a terrible boyfriend who overreacted!
DeJay Meyer Definitely such an overreaction to be angry when your fiancee cheats on you. You're absolutely right, Roy should have been completely fine with it. If you ask me, Pam is even worse of a girlfriend than Roy since she cheated on him.
Roy: I am gonna kill Jim Halpert Cameraman: Jim, just so you know, Roy is probably going to attack you so just be careful. Jim: Ok, thanks for letting me know.
@cristi dules I mean he literally said "I'm gonna kill Jim Halpert". Even though there's a possibility that a guy would murder someone, they wouldn't interfere?
never liked her. she just told him to make him angry and to have an excuse to break up with him. see guys? never get into these games and manipulations.
well, punching a wall is bad but not a definite firing offence, so the company put him in anger management so that he could be useful for them in the future. assaulting a coworker, on the other hand, is a no brainer - immediate firing
Correct me if I’m wrong but... “Jim came onto you?” - erm, that’s kinda what he did, isn’t it? Also, Roy says that’s the problem I’m listening, when Pam explains to him EXACTLY how it happened. - “He told me how he felt and I guess I felt the same way too.” Granted, I DO think Roy should also take responsibility as he did cuz he didn’t have to trash a bar and go after Jim. But what responsibility does Jim take? He tried to make a move on another man’s fiancé, that’s just not done. And the issues with Roy and Pam’s relationship is no excuse whatsoever. Yet Roy apologizes and Jim just sits there and accepts it, without taking any responsibility for why it happened in the first place. Does he like have no feelings? (adding to the fact that he left Karen in NY without a ride back)
Agree, but remember that Jim had the opportunity and the legal right to press charges. He didn't. I may be wrong, but I believe that that was his tacit acknowledgement of his own responsibility. You can even see his guilty look and glance at Pam before Roy tries beating him up.
Jim is just doing what a guy does when he loves a woman, go after her. She wasn’t married yet and she felt the same. Only person acting like a caveman is Roy.
It's the subtle stuff like Kevin throwing up his fists that made the Office so good. I know a lot of it was on-the-spot improv. They didn't just "stick to the script". You rarely see that.
Being someone who's experienced a form of cheating, or any third party interactions with my significant other, I realized that Roy had every right to be angry. It's human nature to desire something and hold it dearly, granted that Roy wasn't THE best person, but he wasn't evil. Anybody would have reacted like that, some may do it in their heads, or would have lashed out like Roy did. Bottom line, I don't blame Roy for going crazy, I mean how would you feel if your girl, fiancé, or wife kissed another man. It's devastating and truly traumatic.
Not to mention he must have felt like it was his fault that the wedding didn't go through and Pam broke their engagement. Then he found out about the kiss and (at that moment, rightfully) thought it was Pam's fault and not his.

" I want us to make it". For me it's absolutely silly how Pam was lying to herself and forcing herself to like Roy while denying her feelings for Jim. It happens a lot in real life too
After years of leading Jim on she was devastated that he was now with someone else so she went back to the thing that made her comfortable.
to be fair jim is with karen so...poor pam had to just see jim every day again being happy as he moved back which made her crawl back to roy

I honestly never notice Kevin posting up to not just Roy but his brother as well. Whole new level of respect.

@cristi dules I mean he literally said "I'm gonna kill Jim Halpert". Even though there's a possibility that a guy would murder someone, they wouldn't interfere?
@@sublimeade I mean, no. It's a little thing. That doesn't equal terrible writing
@Rahul they wrote it so the guy who interfered got fired
never liked her. she just told him to make him angry and to have an excuse to break up with him. see guys? never get into these games and manipulations.
I’m surprised Roy didn’t even go to anger management for this kind of behavior like Andy did just for punching a hole in the wall.
well, punching a wall is bad but not a definite firing offence, so the company put him in anger management so that he could be useful for them in the future. assaulting a coworker, on the other hand, is a no brainer - immediate firing
I don't like how Pam downplays what she did. And then walks away like she's the victim.
Correct me if I’m wrong but...
“Jim came onto you?” - erm, that’s kinda what he did, isn’t it?
Also, Roy says that’s the problem I’m listening, when Pam explains to him EXACTLY how it happened. - “He told me how he felt and I guess I felt the same way too.”
Granted, I DO think Roy should also take responsibility as he did cuz he didn’t have to trash a bar and go after Jim.
The one time Dwight’s pepper spray comes to good use
Roy: I’m gonna kill Jim halpert
Later
Dwight: saves the day with a can of paper spray.
Ah yes
*Paper Spray*
Ah yes
*Paper Spray*
I meant pepper spray my bad
"stop making words that rhyme Andy"
I mean, it’s a paper company. That’s genius, if you ask me.
It's the subtle stuff like Kevin throwing up his fists that made the Office so good. I know a lot of it was on-the-spot improv. They didn't just "stick to the script". You rarely see that.
The most funny thing about this scene, was his brother following him breaking things hahahaha make me remind of Simpson's
I’m reminded of Poofesure.
After watching the office a million times I never noticed Kevin ready to throw hands. He was the sweetest and always had everyone’s backs.
Oddly enough his brother was the most annoying part of this.
Ya him breaking shit because of something that happened to Roy? Both were dickheads.
True, but pam got kissed. She didn't kiss
@@wetsock7790 she did... at chilli's
@@alejandroriggi495 oh right forgot about that
@@wetsock7790 hahaha not judging her, but their chemistry was so irrepressible it was only a matter of time
What Pam and Jim did was wrong, but so was Roys reaction. No one came out of this situation looking good.
it all worked out, if they didn't trash the bar his brother would have bought the jetski and could have crashed it wiping out a family of dolphins
Jim didn’t do nothing wrong. Gotta shoot your shot
@@gazebo9730 Fuck that Jim's a scumbag.
Gswaggamer nigga Jim shot his shot right when Pam was boutta get married, like nah bro Jim’s a pussy for not doing it earlier.
Gswaggamer my guy, she was engaged and gonna get married in a week
