Applying Lechler Basecoat and Upol Clearcoat with SATA guns and RPS cups

In this video we are applying basecoat and clearcoat to a front bumper corner and wing.
The basecoat used is Lechler and the Clear is U-Pol Anti-Scratch.
Spray guns used are Sata 1.3 HVLP 4000 and a 1.2 RP 5000

Upol clear is not expensive but is so so good, been using the S2080 and 2031 or 2030 hardener with excellent results, finish on your job looks perfect👍

Can you run with this or does it have to be wet sanded and then buffed?? The dude was definitely in his zone. Really good video.

Hey, it doesn't need to be sanded and buffed if you can lay it down nice enough. This was one of my students from when i worked at a tutor. He's a good lad and doing well in the industey now🙂👍

Nice work. Ive just switched to sata from devilbiss. What fluid settings suit you best for the hvlp basecoat gun? Im using mipa solvent base by the way.

+Spray Works hi mate, sorry for the delayed reply, I'm not sure on fluid settings as i change it depending on weather im using waterbased or solvent, solid colours or metallic. I always set up the fluid and fan in the booth on a test sheet.

+Edward Alvira hi its 1.3 HVLP for base and 1.2 RP for clear. Both spraying at 2.0Bar or around 29PSI hope this helps

Do you spray pure fade out thinner ,or mix with clear coat?

I apply the first coat of fade out 50/50 with fade out then pure fade out to finish.
