    Hi G&Ts, nice video as always. It looks that Boss Tone Studio has evolved. I wish Boss make a version like this for the GT100, which still is a very good product.

      Hi there, Antonio.
      Nice to hear from you. I hope you're well, and all is good!
      Thank you, I appreciate you saying that.
      Yes, there's been added more to Tone Studio, for the GT-1000/GT-1000Core. I generally like the new look and way it operates.
      I hear you, that would surely be nice... Sadly I believe we'll have to realize, that no more updates, etc. will be made available for the GT-100, except maybe maintenance updates, and so...
      It's sad that it ends like this, but this seems to be what most companies are doing, when newer models are released to the market.
      The GT-100 is still a good piece of gear, and I won't part with mine, hehe.
      Let me know if you need anything else.
      Best regards & Cheers.

    Thanks for making such a clear and helpful video. I have a very specific issue. I hope you can help. I'm comparing the bognor uber amp model in the GT1000 Core with the bognor uber amp model in the GP10. I'm using the "tube combo" type setting In both cases. The amp model from the GP10 sounds great and the GT1000 Core sounds absolutely awful. I already put the master settings on the GT1000 so it's just 0db-, I mean, not boosting or cutting anything. The stereo output is linked and the speaker emulation is bypassed. I'm running into a small boss cube practice amp with very clean gain. Everything else in the signal chain is identical, same guitar, same pick ups, etc.

    Hello, I have a GT 1000 and recently, I played an open mic and ran the output of L (mono) 1/4 in jack into their amp as they would not let me go straight into their mixer. after plugging in and dialing in a "clean" channel on their (line 6), there was horrible feedback. What would have been the best way to resolve this? Turn the output level down? What if that wasn't enough? Should I have switched from the "Recording" setting to the "Line/Phones" output?

    Hi. I’m connecting my GT1000core to a BOSS LX cube amp. But this amp is not in the list of the Output select. How then?

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi,
      I would go with JC-120 Input - since there's no specific Output Select for that type of amplifier.
      You can also browse through the different options, and see if one is better than the other, in this case.
      I hope this helps.

    Thanks for the video GNT. I use my GT1000 with a tube amp via 4 cable method for gigs and into the “power amp in “ of a Katana for practice. I also want to use it for acoustic gigs but I can’t work out what the output should be. I believe it’s best to plug the GT 1000 directly into the speaker of a PA, rather than into the mixer? If that’s the case then what output would I use? Any help appreciated 🎸🤘

    • @billb1048
      @billb1048 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I normally play directly into an FRFR speaker. Select recording for this. Since FRFRs and PAs aren't guitar amp speakers, you will then need to do some EQing.

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Matt!
      You're welcome - thank you for watching, and for your question.
      I believe the best option here would be to either use a dedicated FRFR-speaker, which is designed to handle Multi Effect units, or have the acoustic, along with the GT-1000, going straight into the mixer, then being output via the PA/FOH (front of house).
      You might be able to even set up two individual output options/sources, with the GT-1000, where one is your normal 4 Cable Method, and the other will go to the Mixer/PA for the acoustic.
      The two XLR-outputs could be used for the output of the acoustic.
      I hope this makes sense.
      Best regards.

    Great video. Thanks for taking the time to help us GTk Core users. I have a Bugera 6262 Infinium head that I would like to connect. If I use the 4 cable method, should I just set the "Recording" option on the main output? Or should I try and search for something to replace User1 with my Bugera? Also, if you think I should just leave it to "Recording", do you have any advice on how to get the best tone from the Bugera using the 4 cable method? It is a high gain amp but I feel I am not getting the best tone through the GTK. Thanks so much.

      @GuitarNTabs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, Guitar Solo Cholo.
      Thanks for your comment, and for watching, I greatly appreciate it.
      I assume you're using a cabinet with the Bugera head, correct?
      In regards to the Output Select, you should select the option which matches your equipment the best, so instead of the "Recording" setting, I would go for one of the settings with the "Return" after it, since that's basically how the GT-1000Core is connected. The "Line/Phones" and "Recording" is for running direct, either via USB or to a Mixer/PA, etc.
      You could also see what the User1 section can provide - I know there are a few other options, which I believe can be downloaded, but it shouldn't really be necessary.
      A thing to keep in mind, when using the 4 Cable Method, is that it allows you to use both your external amp, as well as the GT-1000Core's onboard preamp types. So for the patches where you only need your Bugera, make sure that the signal from the GT-1000Core's preamp isn't coming through, and vice versa. This should be set using the "Send/Return" block. Set up your Bugera to your desired tone, and then use the GT-1000Core's DS1 block to further sculpt the tone, etc. That would be my advice.
      I hope this makes sense.
      All the best.

      @@guitarsolocholo4816 - Hi again!
      You will have to match the Output Select as close as possible to the equipment you have the GT-1000/GT-1000Core connected to.
      For example, if it's a combo amp, then you select the combo amp setting, etc.
      I believe there are some minor EQ tweaks, or similar, done to the Output Select options, so it will have an impact on your gear, depending on which Output Select you choose.
      I hope this helps.

    Am I able to connect directly the outputs to the mixer (FOH) and the PA's with TRS / XLR cables?
    Let's say I don't need any Amp in between. Just a straight connection. Are these outputs BALANCED? Can I assign them to transfer balanced signal (POST EQ) directly to the mixing console?

    How can I connect my boss gt 1000 core to some studio monitors and get the sound out there. using it as an interface. I saw a diagram on the boss page. in which it indicates that the monitors must be connected to the send outputs. but I did it as described on the page but it doesn't work.

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there!
      Thanks for your comment and question, I greatly appreciate it.
      I've seen that diagram as well, and you can surely do it that way, especially if you have other equipment you want to connect through the left and right outputs, but for what you're asking, I would simply use the left and right outputs, to connect your studio monitors that way. I do that all the time, especially using my Boss GT-1.
      The reason why the method of the Boss diagram didn't work, is probably because you have to check the settings for the Send/Return outputs, within the GT-1000Core's menu. They may've been set to something different.
      I hope this helps.

      Hi there, Matheus.
      Thanks for your comment and question.
      If I remember correctly, I believe so, but, all presets, whether they're factory or user, are made with the GT's preamp models engaged.
      So set your Output Select and then Initialize the patches you plan on using, so you can start from scratch, and really dial things in.

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there.
      Thanks for your comment and question, I greatly appreciate it.
      Alright, a few thing's going on here, and that's why you get a terrible sound.
      First, if you're using the GT-1000Core into the front input of your Hot Rod Deluxe, then you should not set the Output Select to Hot Rod Deluxe Return, it's not for this connection.
      Instead you should select "Tube Combo 112 Input" as the Output Select, because that's what the Hot Rod Deluxe really is. Then make sure to turn OFF the Core's preamp blocks, you won't need them with this connection.
      The Output Select options with "return" after them are only for when you're actually connecting the GT-1000Core's left output to the effects loop return of an amplifier. This connection will bypass the amplifier's preamp-section, leaving only the speaker "active", to output the sound. This means that you can use the Core's preamp models, with its speaker options off, probably.
      I hope this helps.
      Let me know if you need anything.
      Cheers.

    Hi, I have a Boss Nextone Special, so I would use the “Nextone Stage Artist return” output. Of course, then I need to disable the AIRD amps, otherwise the sound will be crap. What I don’t understand is, the GTK is a modeler, so how can I use the Boss Nextone Special as a monitor, bypassing its pre-amp and power-amp?

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there,
      Thanks for your comment and question.
      Normally, when you connect a multi effects unit through an amp's effects loop return, it's because you actually want to use the multi effects' preamp models, along with its effects.
      You should, however, turn off the speaker emulation on the GT-1000/GT-1000Core, since your amp's speaker is outputting the sound.
      Simply connect the GTK's left output to your amp's effects loop return and select the proper Output Select on the GTK. That should do it. This connection will bypass your amp's preamp section. The power amp section will always be running, since it's the speaker, so it will output the sound.
      If you're looking for a monitor, then you should look at an FRFR speaker.
      I hope this helps.
      Best regards.

    2. what is the difference between Main M LR and the Sub LR which appears in the FX chain ?? and if I am connecting the Gt1000 to an amp of to the PC how can I use both Sub and Main outputs at the same time ??

      @GuitarNTabs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there,
      Thanks for your comment and question, I greatly appreciate it.
      Yes, that's correct. That list of amps are different Output Select options, if you're physically connected to one of them.
      Also yes, the recording would be for connecting to a PC.
      On the Core you have a pair of main outputs and a pair of sub outputs, this allows you to route different setup configurations. You could send the Main LR to two amps on stage and use the Sub LR to send to the PA7Mixer/PA.
      If you connect to the PC, you should simply use the USB, no need for anything else, really.
      If you connect to an amp then you normally connect the Left Main output to the amp's front input, and that would be it. You need two amps, for stereo, to use both the Left and Right outputs, then again, the sub outputs could be sent to something different, like the PA, etc.
      I hope this helps.

      Since the Mooer tube amp doesn't have an Effects Loop I would suggest that you connect the GT-1000 into the input of the Mooer tube amp, and use the GT-1000's effects only.

      Tell me what you're having issues with, in regards to the GT-100 and its Output Select, then I'd be happy to assist.
      Looking forward to your reply.
      Best regards.

      Hi!
      Hmm, I don't think so. I don't have the GT-1000Core anymore, so I can't dive in and check...
      I'm sorry about that!
      Let me know if you need anything else.
      Best regards.

    Thanks for the Video, however what about Output +4db or -10db. Does the GT-1000 Core have this option for Main Output?

      Hi there, Michael.
      I've been through both the Owner's Manual and the Parameter Guide, but I can't seem to find anything about it...
      I do believe I've seen it, or maybe I'm wrong, but if you have the Core with you, you might be able to go through the menus, and maybe find it.
      Best regards
      Cheers.

      @@GuitarNTabs Same here couldn't find it. Upon opening the Tone Studio Offline and choosing GT-1000Core, it shows it's available, however it's not available on the actual GT-1000Core? It's not even available for the Sub Out, and if connecting to Tone Studio it's also not available for either. Thx GuitarNTabs!

    Thankyou for the video, G&T. Still curious on one thing, for the User preset to be add, is it refer to uploading our own Impulse Response (IR) to the unit to be saved as preset User 1 & 2? Because I'm still searching the right one. I'm using a solid-state poweramp by Rocktron velocity go to 212 cabs.. Haven't found the right sound for it.

      Hi.
      I'm very sorry for the late reply, I've been behind on answering comments...
      I'm not entirely sure what you're asking here?
      Can you explain it in another way?
      Thanks.
