I knew fun was to be had when we got to DS9
I will always love DS9. It really shows the darker and grittier side of the Trek universe. It isn't all rainbows and unicorns. "In The Pale Moonlight" is one of my favorite episodes. Garak is my spirit animal.
Me ten minutes ago: “I’m not going to watch a 10 minute video about torpedoes”
Did they re-use the TNG torpedo sound when they remastered TOS? I remember it sounding different in TOS originally...
Why does it almost always seem like TOS ships never have shields or are they just useless? xd
What's the difference between photon and quantum torpedoes?
As far as I can remember, the difference was never explained on screen, but quantum torpedoes are implied to be more powerful.
@@JohnDiMarco they disappeared quickly after "Star Trek: first contact", where I heard of.
The Defiant had them.@@calogerohuygens4430
I don't understand why Paramount did not delay the production of Star Trek V when it became apparent that Bran Ferran's firm was no where near up for the challenge. The film, as originally envisioned by Shatner would have been much better. Even TNG's in house effects would have been better than what was produced. V wold have done better at the box office too with a Christmas 1989 release instead of trying to compete in the greatest Summer season of all time. I have to re-read Shatner's book to see if there is a reason why Paramount simply didn't wait until ILM or another reputable effects house was available.
5:50 Imagine the Jem Hadar battle report for him.
Status: KIA
Cause: Shot by photon torpedo
Victory is life!
If a torpedo is supposed to be a "guided missile" how are they translucent?
Gotta remake it and add in Discovery, Strange New Worlds and Picard Season 3 now 🫶🏾
Fire
No torpedo shots from Discovery or the JJ Abrams movies? The scene with Discovery battling Klingons and teleporting all over the place was badass!

Is it suppose to be more powerful than nuclear weapons
HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW MY BOOT WOULD HIT THE PHOTON TORPEDO BUTTON
4.16 and the one after that 😍💪🏻👍🏻
Voyager firing a lot more than 38 torpedoes lol
The photon torpedoes in the original Star Trek series were white. The versions you showed were from the CGI remastered DVD episodes that made them red.
ahh the sounds of torpedoes firing has to be the one of the most inconsistent things in all of trek!
I get not putting in discovery but what about SNW
