Hi, I'm John DiMarco, and welcome to our channel! I love Jesus and my family, who you may see occasionally pop in to play some games or just be goofy. I'm a sci-fi nerd, particularly in regards to classic Star Trek and The Orville. I'm also a fan of SeaQuest DSV, from which I learned that Darwin the Dolphin is the best!

Star Trek Escape Pods
มุมมอง 7K7 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
When the order comes out from the bridge to abandon ship, hopefully there will be escape pods nearby. (They also come in handy when seeking to flee from imprisonment on a hostile vessel.) This Star Trek video documents occasions when escape pods were seen in use (as opposed to just being mentioned), ranging from the TNG to Enterprise. Thank you! I've never had a bridge before!
What's the difference between "The bridge is yours" and "You have the bridge"?
I assume that they are just different ways of saying the same thing.
The fridge is yours
I would go, It's mine, it's all mine. Wahahahahhhaa
Awesome job, as always John. Happy Thanksgiving All🦃🍁
Happy Thanksgiving to all, Captain has the Bridge…
happy thanksgiving!
Love it when Sisko offers his condolences to Worf for the loss of the D. Particularly now as I was always like "And to think, the saucer is probably still sitting on Veridian III.". And then came the last season of PIC, where we can now say "Wait another 30 years, Sisko."
Imagine being kicked so far down the first officer chain that you don't even have to consent to death, even though your first duty is to ship and crew. If Janeway wanted to do something freaky and blow everyone up, there's nothing anyone could do to stop her.
The bridge is always Janeway's, even when she isn't there. She is just an awesome captain.

Great compilation! A brief animation of a Star Trek: The Original Series inspired life boat I built: th-cam.com/video/pExECwfiHkw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cRSDBh2b6oBLcYQO
9218 black could be a simple code, number and color, put out at frequency… for instance: code is 20 black, Garak says 9218 Black. 9+2+1+8=20, he also gave “black”. Code confirmed. Tomorrow the code is 31 orange. The code must be no more than the sum of 4 single digits (36) and a color.
Tri-cobalt devices!
Yeeted by a NX grappler…
Good video. This is pretty comprehensive, but you missed one that I can think of. Star Trek: Enterprise, Season 4, Episode 6, "The Augments". Persis helped Soong get to an escape pod on the Klingon ship. The escape pod was picked up by the NX-01.
Another job well done, John. I am reminded of the song, ‘We Gotta Get Out Of This Place’ (if it’s the last thing we ever do)🖖🎼
The escape pod in that episode of Star Trek Enterprise looks like a trash can.
the jerk they do when they escape the Saratoga is one of the iconic acting scenes in all of modern ST
3:46 ALways found it odd that Klingons Bird of Prey even had escape pods... Warriors death and all that . Maybe civiliian models have it so they just put them on all of them accross the board ... OR Plot armor, deff plot armor
There could be genuine accidents and the like y'know? Can't get to the afterlife saying something like 'our chief engineer was dumb so we all died.' Maybe they also double as boarding pods.
Engage Escape Pods! All Hands Abandon Ship!
The non-Starfleet escape pods remind me of the game Tin Can.
I always abandon ship in an escape pod when I'm on a Carogan ship due to the inevitable crashing of the ship.
Awesome, you could have added the pods from ST beyond too! but amazing
Thanks!
@@JohnDiMarco I'm enjoying your content at the moment. I'm, waiting for the replicator one lol
I saw that with my girlfriend, Angel ❤️

You do me too much honor.
I am tired and don't want to touch it anymore. I still have 89USD in OKX wallet but I am too lazy to withdraw it. Here is the mnemonic of OKX wallet (『pride』-『pole』-『obtain』-『together』-『second』-『when』-『future』-『mask』-『review』-『nature』-『potato』-『bulb』, for all the friends who are lucky enough to get it.
The video content is very interesting! I am a little confused: someone sent me a usdt and I have the recovery phrase. pride pole obtain together second when future mask review nature potato bulb How do I extract them?
1:52 That look on Janeway's face after the first sip of coffee. I felt that in my bones.
Thanks for reminding me of this video, Tuvok
When did Geordi turn into Xena: Warrior Princess?
You left space dock without a tractor beam?
It doesn't arrive 'til Tuesday.
Oh no, who's getting a slice of the Janeway Pie 🥧?
I like the Red Alert sounds of the Enterprise B, E and voyager the best.
its odd how a doral view is reminiscent of the Soveignn class, but a ventral view reminds one of the Intrepid class
Janeway Pi.....mmmm Pie
Error - authorization code must be an integer.
First time I've seen a Stark Trek clips compilations with a Bible verse at the end of it...
The issue is you're using the remastered version of TOS here with the redone effects (that imo were redone chintzily)
Thanks be to Garak, who gives us the victory through his information acquired when he was hemming pants - 1 Cardassians 15:57
Nice and then a load of god crap at the end. Shame to ruin a good video with that fairy-tale rubbish.
Thanks for watching. Have a nice day.
Bro, you left out the best quote of Star Trek: Generations. That was at the end when Picard told Riker the below: “Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. But I rather believe that time is a companion, who goes with us on the journey, reminds us to cherish every moment, because they’ll never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we lived.” How can you leave that amazing quote from that movie out? That last line was definitely a homage to how Kirk lived his life. Here is footage of that wonderful quote: th-cam.com/video/3T_J3Vuu1GY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Yj3CLL-o12U7-I2n
I agree that this is an excellent quote. Unfortunately, when working with TH-cam, care has to be taken in regard to what can be included in a video.
That's my phone pin now
Why is this video 1:10 long? 🤣
You're right. It should be 3:14 long.
But the Enterprise needed 3 Authorizations if i remember correctly?
Easiest and fastest self destruct sequence. When the enemy is boarding your ship you don’t have time for fancy elaborate self destruct codes.
Yes. Absolutely. I do indeed concur, wholeheartedly.
A simple yes would have sufficed, Number One.
How come voyager only needs one authority for self-destruction? Other ships needed three
There are many theory: from original XO was killed early on so Janeway has to change the self-destruct sequence to the voyager is a smaller vessel and doesn't need so many people to initiate self-destruct sequence. Seach: Why does the Intrepid Class only requires the captain's authorization for self destruct? (I'll try to paste a link to this reddit post in the following comment, hope TH-cam allow it. Otherwise, just search with the aforementioned keywords)
Because Janeway ..... no I will not have to give more explanations
@@saintpsu Your first explanation is the most likely, Janeway realizing the wild west nature of the delta quadrant and the kind of threats it faces probably rewrote the protocols to allow faster execution or better yet allow it on her command alone. Understanding that should the crew be unable to hold Voyager it would be a reduced likeliness that the traditional protocol could be effective
FERENGI SPY: So, you are a crew member on the bridge of the Voyager. I will give you a shuttlecraft full of latinum for Janeway's destruct code. VOYAGER TRAITOR: It is, "Computer, initiate self-destruct sequence, authorization Janeway Pi 1-1-0." FERENGI SPY: Thank you.
Unfortunately it probably has to be in janeways voice. Of course they could always fake that for a few extra bars of Latinum.
